I decided to plan my wedding in 3 months so my mom suggested we hire a coordinator. I thought with such a short time frame, I'll just DIY and make phone calls and be fine by myself. I was SO wrong and I would have been lost without Beth. She is such a professional and thinks of every little detail. She is also a local which means she knows a ton of vendors personally which made last minute booking and communication SO much easier. She scheduled calls with me once a week leading up to the wedding and even met with me in person at my venue when I happened to be in town for the weekend. She made me feel so comfortable asking any question and agreed to help whenever I got stuck. I waited until the last minute on so many decisions and Beth was so kind, understanding and helpful despite my lack of preparation. Beth goes above and beyond and she was a huge reason why my day was such a dream. I cannot thank you enough Beth. Hire her, you will not regret it.
Beth is an angel! I am actually very lucky because I was going to book another planner who ended up already having my day taken. They sent me to Beth and after 1 phone call with her I was able to feel so confident in my day! I hired her for day of planning to help me coordinate my vendors, setup decor and help keep my timeline. She ended up helping me with way more than I originally anticipated which I am so so so thankful for! I am not from the outer banks area and her expertise on what vendors to go with was very helpful. We had multiple phone calls reviewing everything before the wedding which helped me make sure I had everything done properly. Being that I am not from OBX and we rented a beach house for our wedding there was a longer list than normal of things that needed to be done but she made sure I had everything down to the soap in the bathrooms.
The day of the wedding she was so incredibly helpful, she got everything setup for me and REALLY helped keep us on schedule. Our friends started calling here Mama Beth because she was always making sure we knew where we needed to be! I would definitely recommend booking her, if you dont think you need a planner you do!
Our wedding and reception were absolutely perfect- and it was all thanks to Beth! She was a master of organization and great ideas! My husband and I did most of our planning from another state and Beth was great at setting up phone meetings and promptly responding to emails! She was able to calm my nerves and come up with solutions to any potential problems. The Best Man had a suit button pop minutes before the ceremony and she had an emergency sewing kit on hand to fix him up! She recommended wonderful vendors, and my husband and I are so grateful we were able to work with Beth!
Wow wow wow!! I cannot say enough about Beth and all she did for me during the year-long planning process for our wedding. Planning my wedding from Richmond VA proved to be challenging from the start - I didn't know any vendors and was overwhelmed. As soon as I narrowed down my venue, the next thing I did was start looking for a planner because I knew I couldn't handle this alone. I contacted three planners and Beth reached back out to me almost immediately! Coincidentally, she had just done a wedding at the venue I had my eye on the weekend prior! Her responsiveness and experience told me she was the one. I met her in person a few months later when we came down to secure the rest of our vendors. She set up every appointment for us and joined us on some of them so we could make sure we were asking the right questions. She suggested every vendor we hired (with the exception of my photographer, who was a friend from home) and they were all top notch!!
Throughout the process, her organization and gentle reminders that it was time to make certain decisions, pay certain people, etc. were HIGHLY appreciated! Towards the end, she responded to my (and my mother's) nearly daily emails quickly and was a constant reassurance that everything was getting taken care of.
The day of the wedding, she was unbelievable. Literally all we had to do was get ready and show up! It was such a blessing to not have my mom or another family member have to coordinate the arrival of vendors and set things up. She set up all my centerpieces and made sure all the vendors, wedding party etc. were sticking to the timeline. I was the calmest I had been in months on the day of my wedding - which is all thanks to Beth!! She was a dream, a constant professional and such a warm, kind person that I felt comfortable going to her with even my most off the wall ideas. I am so grateful that I found her!
Being an event coordinator myself I knew that I needed to find a day-of-wedding coordinator that I trusted entirely; otherwise, I would probably not fully enjoy my wedding because I would be too worried about things going wrong. Also not being from the area we knew we needed someone who knew the area to help with all of the details. Beth Pallet was recommended to us by the event coordinator at the Roanoke Island Aquarium. After meeting with her in November 2014 we knew that she was the perfect person to help coordinate our wedding. From the moment we signed a contract with her up until the day after the wedding she was there for us with whatever we needed. A few months before the wedding we had a tele-conference where she walked me through the day before the wedding and the day of, asking me questions I hadn’t even thought about and things that wedding magazines do not include in their check-lists. She created a timeline of events, helped me put together a task list of things that needed to be done, and worked with my other vendors to make sure everyone was on the same page. There were a few times over the two months before the wedding that I was having a break down because something just wasn’t going right. I would give Beth a call or send her an email and she would always respond with an answer or a solution. The week before the wedding was probably the most stressful time of my entire life dealing with family, wedding projects, and last minute details. I was starting to be concerned that I wasn’t going to enjoy my own wedding, but on Friday morning I meet with Beth handed all of the materials over, gave her last minute instructions, and completely relaxed! Our wedding was absolutely perfect, minus the rain, but Beth couldn’t change the weather! She had prepared me earlier in the day about the possibility of rain and informed me of my options, so an hour before the ceremony when she came to me and said we had to go with plan B, I wasn’t freaking out. We had the ceremony inside the aquarium and as far as I know it started on time and was beautiful! I was such a nervous wreck that I do not remember most of it except for that my husband said “with this wing I thee read”, I think he did it on purpose to help me relax! The cocktail hour, table decorations, introductions, dinner, cake, speeches, dances, and everything else went perfectly! Beth was on top of everything at exactly the right time and always calm with a smile on her face! If anything went wrong that day I sure didn’t know about it! Our wedding would not have been as perfect as it was if we didn’t have Beth as our day-of-wedding coordinator. Thank you Beth for everything you did in preparation for and during our wedding!
