Engroff Catering demonstrated commendable responsiveness and provided an enjoyable tasting experience during our wedding meal planning. Their selection process was both delightful ...
and thorough, leaving us satisfied with our choices up until the event. Unfortunately, there were a few logistical shortcomings. The team failed to make a confirmation call a few days prior to the wedding as promised, and their arrival on the day was slightly delayed. Although this did not significantly disrupt the proceedings, and was largely unnoticed by our guests, it did require some last-minute adjustments. Additionally, the lack of containers for leftover food necessitated an unforeseen arrangement, where a guest had to procure storage containers on our behalf.
The service during the event was generally efficient, with the attendant diligently ensuring that dishes were replenished as needed. However, there was a minor issue with the quality of some breakfast items, specifically the eggs, which were slightly overcooked. While such occurrences can be typical with delicate dishes, optimal preparation would have been preferable.
Despite these issues, we were generally pleased with the services provided by Engroff Catering. The quality of the food was excellent and enjoyed by all attendees.
We booked Engroffs a year ago and selected them because of responsiveness, professionalism and overall reputation. The person we worked with left mid-year.
Lack of response had me...
stressed out for weeks before the wedding. We had to change our counts several times and ended up running out of food. The original person told me how they would stock for higher count and work it out. That was not the case.
The staff at the wedding were good. But they only stocked the food and did not monitor or assist with serving. It was a pasta bar which is self-serve, so people could take as much as they wanted. That’s not the fault of the caterer but I would hope they stock more on the pasta & sauce, so that food does not run out. I would have happily paid extra for going over the serving amount.
A few hours before the wedding, I was called because we had no breadsticks on the list, but we should have. The woman who called offered garlic bread and I accepted, relieved that someone was paying attention.
So i would rate higher If they improve communication with clients, as that would have made my experience better and If we could have avoided running out of food.
We used Engroff’s for our wedding on 4/10/21 and couldn’t be happier. Rosie Newman was excellent in communicating with us about our order and details. The staff were friendly and p...
rofessional, and we appreciated how they boxed up our leftovers for us to pick up the next day. Everyone absolutely loved the Chicken Cordon Bleu casserole and Italian salad. Definitely recommend to anyone looking!
Canceled 4 Days Before Event! Unprofessional! I just found out the Charity Event I bought 3 tickets to this Saturday had to be cancelled due to Engroff Catering reneging on their a...
greement with the Fight 4 Light Foundation. Apparently they didn't think the price of the tickets were high enough for it to be worth it to them even though they had agreed to donate everything in trade for their name being advertised for a month plus tax write offs. How sad and unprofessional! Especially since it's less than 4 days before the event. I'm disappointed and I know this is costing the Charity organization money. I hope they can recover their costs somehow!
We used Engroff for our rehearsal dinner & wedding! For our rehearsal dinner, we did a fajita/taco bar and it was amazing! For the wedding, we had the honey pecan glazed chicken an...
d OH MY GOSH, it's incredible. We also had the jack Daniels beef option, which was great as well! We did loaded twice baked potatoes, green beans, a salad, and traditional dinner rolls. Our guests have told me over and over again since the wedding that they typically don't expect to enjoy wedding food, but that the food was incredible! Their staff was so friendly and was moving around to get out of our guests way, which I did not expect. They were so courteous and accommodating! They boxed up all of our food that was leftover so nicely and we all ate it for a couple days afterwards! Their portion sizes are good sized! I cannot recommend them enough!
Abouds catered our wedding at the end of September. The food and the service was fantastic! They were so wonderful and amazing to work with. They were so organized and handled any ...
changes we had with ease - they were even able to help us accommodate some of our family's dietary needs with vegan and vegetarian plates. They helped make our day so special, and EVERYONE(!) told us how wonderful the food was!!
I couldn't say enough good things about Aboud's if I tried... The attention we got leading up to, and on the big day, was unmatched. They were very courteous and flexible. The serv...
ice at the wedding was phenomenal, and they did such a lovely job with the presentation. The food was EVEN BETTER - Everyone kept telling us how much they loved it! Thank you again Aboud's!
We got married in Oskaloosa, KS. I live in Kansas City but thought maybe I would check Topeka area for caterers because it's closer to the venue! Boy, am I glad I came across such ...
great reviews for Aboud's! The food was DELICIOUS. When we went to do the taste testing, I looked at my groom and we both knew we were in trouble.... We couldn't decide what we wanted! Everything we ate was to die for. We wound up with breaded chicken tenders, a bowl of the Red Roasted Pepper Gouda Cheese Cream Sauce (I know, right) AND a bowl of the Parmesan Sauce. People were able to pour it right on top of the chicken! We also had salad/rolls, seasoned green beans, and potatoes (people RAVED about these potatoes!). We hired a waitstaff and they were very professional and accommodating. We also rented the tablecloths through Aboud's, they were by far the best prices! I wish I had another event coming up soon where I could hire Aboud's again! I would recommend them over and over again.
We hired Aboud's for catering our wedding reception. From the beginning Jane and everyone else was a pleasure to work with and was respectful of our budget per person that we were ...
working with.
We ended up selecting an array of heavy horderves for our guests (140) and received many compliments on the food – even from some picky eaters!
The staff was polite, prompt and worked well with our venue for the evening. I would highly recommend Aboud's for any catering needs.
Very reasonably priced, and the lasagna is delicious. We had people going up for seconds and thirds.
Aboud's had alots of different items to choose from for food. We used heavy appetizers and people were stuffed after eating. The people at Aboud's are VERY nice and extremely hel...
pful. They provide linens too which was nice. The people there went above and beyond what I expected but just made the day run smoother for me. Would definitely recommend.
