Highly recommend for any bride looking to get the best shots for her special day. We received our video a little over a week after the wedding and our photos 2 weeks after. photos that we got back were absolutely stunning. Both my husband and I were nervous about wedding photos, we are the type of people who hate being in front of a camera. However, before and during the wedding, our photographer made us feel comfortable and confident. The photos we got back truly made us feel beautiful and celebrated. We found Epic to be incredibly affordable and we feel like we got a quality experience on our wedding day and received a quality final product in the gallery that was delivered. I highly recommend Epic!

The material captured day of was thorough and tasteful, as was the final video edit + raw footage we received. A true total package that came out excellent and we couldn't be more happy with our choice to go with Epic! If you like to have a lot of communication from your vendors, this is might not be the best company for you. We did not speak with or meet our photographer until a week before our wedding and we book a year in advance. We also spent time to make a customized shot list to share with our photographer, sent this to the company only to find out they never sent it over to our photographer (which in the grand scheme of things is not that big of a deal BUT was still frustrating). We received ZERO communication after our wedding. No follow up emails, phone calls, texts, & no sneak peek photos. Nothing. Per our contract our photos were to be returned to us 2-4 weeks after our wedding. We knew this would likely be more towards the 4 week mark because we got married during the busy season. We sent an email a few days before the 4 week mark just to touch base and make sure we were still going to receive our photos on the date that was written in our contract. No response. We called on the day we were supposed to receive our photos and were told our editor was out sick and we would not be getting our photos that day but we will get a print credit once we receive our photos. We were told if we didn’t receive them by that Wednesday we would figure out some other compensation. We ended up receiving our photos a week late. Our photos were beautiful and we love them. Overall, Epic is a good company but communication is lacking.

We received our photos in just over a week from our wedding and our video in about 3 weeks from the wedding, so we were very pleased with the turnaround time. r events that we pre-selected. We were disappointed that the full length events are just those events as individual files. We were expecting a more documentary style. This is for an additional cost that we did not know about. They also offered to do guest interviews and asked who we would like interviewed. At our wedding they were gone for a long period of time interviewing different people. We have had to work with the company to get that footage and still have not recieved it. We assumed it would be embedded throughout a full length video, but we do not have it at all and only the individual files for the full length events. They have had good communication to in our efforts to get that footage. Overall, we recommend EPIC for videography. We love our highlight video and they have communicated well post event. We do not recommend EPIC for photography. The photography team was very friendly and nice but they did not take any initiative the day of. We had filled out a shot list ahead of time for them and had a phone call with the lead photographer. We felt that the photographer was not efficient in getting all the shots and I as the bride had to say things like "while we wait for the groomsmen to come downstairs, how about photos with the flower girl/ring bearers, etc." We did not get any photos of the groom full body (just a couple pretend getting ready-putting on watch or socks), we only have one photo from behind of the bride full body, all of the "fun" group photos his only pose was "arms up!" We had labeled detail boxes for the detail photos but he grabbed a flower girl headband from the getting ready room and put that front and center in the detail photo. This was not part of the box and a squished cheap Amazon purchase that I did not want included, but it is the dominant feature in those photos. He did not provided guidance for the family photos. We all are standing awakwardly. He did not direct people to angle or face certain ways so they all look haphazard and unprofessional. We did a photo dash which meant to be a fun way to run around and get photos with the bride and groom at every table. The goal was to take the photos before the song ended. It was fun but these photos were not good. Due to two cameras people are looking wrong ways, some people are blocked. While we were trying to go fast he could have directed people if they were blocked in the photo or not looking at the right camera. Finally, before the ceremony he said after the group photos "we have time for immediate family pictures" and I was shocked because they had only taken one photo of just the bride and groom. I asked for some photos at the other beautiful locations on the property. He agreed but had I not suggested that we would not have any of our favorite photos of the two of us. While he was very agreeable and friendly I would have appreciated more creative photos with the bridal party, more directing/posing of people, and I have some disappointment with the lack of photos of bride and groom individually and with the detail shots.

res came out great. Unfortunately, we did not have as positive an experience with our wedding. Like many other reviews note, the biggest drawback of working with Epic was that we did not know who our assigned photographer would be until days before each event/session. We had our first call with our assigned photographer for our wedding only 5 days before the wedding. Although we had met with someone from their production team weeks prior to hash out our timeline, we ended up repeating most of it to our photographer because he was confused about how some of the timeline pieces were listed. On the wedding day, our photographer did not seem comfortable asserting our timeline, and a good portion of the cocktail hour (which was meant to be the time we captured all of our couples/family photos) was spent with him standing around waiting for us to tell him what to do. He did not have any of the shot list details we filled out for Epic, which were extensive. We ended up missing some of the shots on our shot list, and we spent the first hour of dancing getting the rest of the couples shots we wanted that he did not accomplish during cocktail hour. Some of our favorite photos would not have happened had we not pushed for more photos to happen after dancing began. Our venue staff actually stepped in to help at this point, and our Banquet Captain directed the photographer for how to shoot some more creative shots, and took us to some other spots for shots. We received feedback from the venue staff and some other vendors that his overall behavior and lack of assertiveness was definitely not up to par. When we got our photos back there were, thankfully, a nice handful of great photos. However, there were also some very amateur-ish ones - poor lighting, weird framing, photos that literally looked like the photos friends were taking on their phones. I contacted Epic 2 days after our wedding via email, and received a call the following day from Eric, one of the owners. I provided all of this feedback and he expressed that he wanted to investigate what happened. Fast forward a month later after we received our photos and were disappointed about the quality of some of them - we spoke to Eric again and he claimed to have no recollection of speaking with me and that he hadn't heard about the situation at our wedding. All this to say, working with Epic may come with the risk that you are paired with a photographer that you will not get to vet, or even meet until it's basically your wedding day. Again, while we're thankful that there are at least a handful of beautiful, frame-worthy photos, we are pretty frustrated and disappointed with our overall experience with Epic.
