Epic Catering

Super sad for this to be our first wedding vendor rating. My fiancé and I have been very excited to start the wedding planning process, and one of the things we were most excited for was booking a catering company. We are huge foodies and we are quite excited for the tastings and picking what we would share with our guests on our special day. We are getting married in North Georgia, and the most suggested catering company was Epic! I was so excited. I had visited their website, and read everything before reaching out. I reached out through this app because I'm trying to keep all the wedding planning in one place. Perhaps they don't like communication on here... but I would've been happy to switch to something else, they just needed to say that. The conversation happened over the course of 8 days! Now, that would be fine if we got anywhere... But 8 days was for three, 1-2 sentence texts. Now, I fully understand that companies are busy, but something really rubbed me the wrong way about these texts. The 1st text was dry and uncaring. Every other vendor I've been in contact with was warm and made me think they wanted to work with me, their's was just dry and honestly rude. I am an adult and I know to look at someone's website, we wanted to talk with a human... not keep staring at a website. The 2nd text was after I said I wanted to book a tasting. I sent the text during business hours (which I knew from looking at their website before and after they requested me to) and I was still super excited despite the dry first text. They responded just saying this must be done during business hours (which it was) and the pricing... Which once again we knew from the website. My fiancé also has access to this app, and because of this I know I'm not just being a Karen. When I got home that day without me saying ANYTHING about the way I felt, he goes "That Catering place sure is sweet and caring... aren't they?" For context he said it extremely sarcastically. We were now kind of frustrated. We werent going to respond but at this point, I just wanted to see just how rude the company was. I responded showing my frustration. I told them I just wanted to schedule a tasting again. They responded again rudely days later. They told me we need to schedule weeks in advance... I know tastings would be scheduled in advance. Not to mention our wedding is on 8/7/24... over a year and a half away. Honestly Epic seems like they have extremely tasty and amazing food. I still am sad we will not be working with them. If that's all you care about and you can take crappy service, go with them, but if you want to have a conversation with someone without having to pull teeth and feel stupid, don't deal with these folks. Maybe this was a one off, but they've left a super bad taste in our mouth! 🤷‍♀️

The food and service by Epic Catering for my daughters wedding was beyond outstanding! Since it was a semi-destination wedding, all the guests were from out of town and all over the country. Everyone was raving about the food. I don't even eat Trout, but their's was so good I didn't even know I was eating fish! Thanks Epic

We chose Epic Catering for our outdoors wedding in GA. Everything from the testing and meeting with the chef to placing the order, delivery and set up went smoothly and was stress-free. The owners were super friendly, knowledgeable and offered great advice and suggestions. The food was absolutely delicious. The wild mushroom and potato pierogies were a huge hit!

ill not work with you We were referred to epic catering by our venue because we were told they are flexible and would work with us since we do not live in Georgia. We tryed to booked a tasting they insisted it had to be on a Sunday witch I told them we probably couldn’t do that but they didn’t want to work with us. So I reached out again making sure we could be in town on a Sunday for them to throw up the fact I couldn’t have made the first tasting and they have booked that date. So heads up out of town brides this is not the person you want for your wedding
