Something that I feel sets them apart from other companies, is that they were excellent at follow through. As a bride, it was very easy for me to get distracted or forget something. Paul was extremely understanding every time I forgot anything and made sure to follow up later so I would remember to pick my songs. Also, he had experience with my venue and visited the site before the big day to make sure it was going to be a success. If I were to host another event on the central coast, I would definitely hire Epic (and request Paul!)!

The photos were so fun to look through after and will be for years to come. The attendant (blanking on her name as I'm writing this 4months after) was super helpful and made sure all the photos made it into the book! Overall, super professional and experienced with great execution. You won't be disappointed if you book them.

On the day of, he arrived well ahead of schedule for setup and made sure everything ran without a hitch. We had an outdoor ceremony and it was an extremely windy day (with some of our floral arrangements getting blown off the pagoda), but our guests said they could hear our ceremony just fine. Overall we had a great experience, and we'd highly recommend them for weddings in the CA central coast area.

Well look no further for a DJ. Epic from start to finish made everything so simple and stress free. Their website is easy to navigate, their pricing is easy to understand, and their staff is readily available to answer any questions that you have. On top of a great company culture, amazing staff, and reasonable pricing, Epic has a great online forum for requesting songs and entering a timeline. Once we were assigned our specific DJ, Sal, it was like all of the pieces fell into place. Sal was an absolute gem. Months prior to the wedding, he sent regular emails checking in, and helped me work through some time line issues and logistical questions. I didn't have the budget for a planner or coordinator, so having a professional with real experience to bounce ideas off of was extremely helpful. We met a couple of times in the weeks leading up to the wedding to finalize the flow of the day - this is something that I didn't realize going into wedding planning; your DJ doesn't just play dance music; they are keeping the entire day flowing and on track. A lot of the day falls on them, so you need to have a lot of trust in them, and make sure that they understand the vibe of your wedding. Sal was the PERFECT DJ; he saw snags in our day and immediately stepped in to help. We had a whole plan to eat our food quickly, then go to talk to each table and release them to the buffet line - of course this was better in theory than it was in practice since everyone kept coming to talk to us and we lost track of time immediately. When I finally I realized we weren't doing our job, I looked over to see Sal was already releasing the tables. He saw an issue and stepped in to fix it, without stressing us out interrupting us. Later, we were a bit behind getting to our speeches and Sal worked with our photographer to come up with 2 solutions and brought them to us quietly. He was able to gauge what was important to us and quietly fix what we didn’t care about, and bring us some options to fix what we did care about. We got no less than 2 dozen people telling us that Sal was the best DJ ever, best music ever, best dance party ever. I cannot recommend Epic enough, and more specifically Sal, he went above and beyond and made our day absolutely perfect. I don't have the words to express my appreciation and gratitude for Sal, all I can do is tell anyone who will listen to hire him and tip him BIG.

o work with. We loved being able to add on a photo booth to our existing package, as our originally booked company shuttered during covid. It just made sense to have them do sound, lights and photo booth. We enjoyed having a Zoom with LaDell before the wedding so we could get to know him, and him with us. We were able to talk about the type of vibe and music we wanted to have and people danced non-stop. One of my favorite parts leading up to the wedding was in talking with other vendors in the SLO area and they'd ask who we had for a DJ. When we said LaDell, the response was always "Oh LaDell! I love him, he's great! You'll have so much fun!" and they were spot on. The music and DJ can be such a crucial part of the wedding and we felt so lucky to have had a great guy in LaDell. Everything from Epic was top notch and worth the price....dare I say it was EPIC! I highly recommend them!

Most of my guests including myself were dancing the entire time! I received so many compliments from my guests on how kind, fun and professional Paul was throughout the entire event. In addition to the music, the photobooth was such a hit at the reception. He provided us with a super nice bamboo guest book and the attendant offered all the supplies and encouraged our guests to sign this book. This was such a great touch! I can’t say enough positive things how smoothly Paul helped the whole event run from pre-ceremony to the last dance. Would 10/10 recommend him for any type of event. Overall I was super happy with Epic’s planning guide and all the additional resources this company provided me with! Thanks again Paul!

hey have a lot of djs but were fully booked except one last dj, luckily for us, anthony was still available (the other owner). They checkin with you every month to see if you need help with anything. They have a very extensive questionnaire you fill out. It feels like a lot at first, but after you complete it, you realize it’s all the info they need to make for the perfect night you wanted without any hiccups. They follow the instructions to a tee, it was great removing any worries on your big day. My now husband put a ton of video game songs on the list and they downloaded all of them and played during dinner. Epic’s thoughtfulness, preparedness, and attention to detail was much appreciated. We got on a call with anthony a couple of weeks before to review the questionnaire in detail. He was very professional and a great music mixer. I had multiple people complement the playlist and we had people dancing 100% of the time. I couldn’t imagine a better dj to drive our night. Thank you so much anthony!

Ever since we hired LaDell he had excellent communication, very flexible to meet with us to ensure everything would go smoothly for the big day, and he was so much fun! We had a few special requests on games and things we wanted incorporated on our big day and LaDell was always up for it! He had a turntable there and was mixing music live- we were so impressed! 3 venue changes! Tj was helpful from the beginning, we had an in person meet up that turned into a few hour hangout. He is super down to earth and we really enjoyed working with him! He was a huge help on the wedding day fans kept things rolling. The pressure was totally on to have the biggest party after the year we’ve all had and TJ totally surpassed all our expectations!

He kept me on track for my timeline when I was too busy talking with guests and had no idea what time it was and things would not have gone as smoothly without him there. We also gave him a huge mix of genres like country music, hip-hop, oldies, etc. and somehow he managed to make them all flow together so well! He kept us dancing all night long and we had a blast! So many guests asked us about our DJ after the wedding and a family member even booked them for one of their events. T.J. was amazing and I can’t imagine the wedding going so well without him there!

utting it off, b/c at first every aspect of it was overwhelming and daunting. There are so many options when it comes to music, so many ways to approach it. Being a lover of all types of music it was really hard to narrow down exact songs. Working with Epic and more importantly our DJ Paul was such a relief. He talked me through the day, expectations and options. I told him our vision for the day and he helped to narrow down songs that would fit for what we had in mind. He really took the time to comfort my anxieties and provide structure for the day I had been missing. He helped me with the time line for the day, setting time expectations base on my event size for each event through out the day (like cake cutting, bouquet toss, how long it takes to walk down the aisle, all the little things you don't really think about) . We do not live in the area so he took the time to sit with us for coffee the day before and go over the playlist our fears and expectations, and more importantly get a chance to meet him face to face so I knew who this stranger was that was suddenly in the mix of my big day. When the big day rolled around he felt like part of the family, and was able to keep that intimate feeling we were shooting for. Thanks -Paul We also rented one of their photo booths! Which was a hit, our guest had a blast with it and it was not at all the eye sore I thought it might be. It fit in well with our event, and the attendant was super helpful and very pleasant. We got a great guest book/ picture album of all the pictures taken, that same day which was nice because I had to wait like 6 weeks for the actual photos. It was nice to see how much fun everyone was having!
