I get so overwhelmed as I think of writing this review. We had the most perfect wedding day and I know it was due to the blessing of having Erika and her team in our corner. I thank goodness every day that we met and hired her to be our wedding planner and coordinator. Originally I had a different planner that I was introduced to through the venue. But 7 weeks before our wedding the original planner’s sister got pregnant and planned her shotgun wedding for our date. My wedding had so many moving parts I just could not accept an assistant stepping in and had to find a new planner. I was STRESSED but I knew from our first phone call that Erika was the one. She was calm and assured me it would all work out. We interviewed several folks but just knew Erika was right for us. She anticipated EVERY SINGLE THING and provided suggestions that enhanced our day and made it even more special. We look back at our day and marvel at how perfect it was and not a single thing out of place or that we would do differently. That perfection was not by accident, it was due to Erika and her team. She formed such a bond with my whole family because she truly cared. Brides do yourself (and your nerves) a favor and hire Erika. I/we had a beautiful, calm, loving, fun celebration because she was leading the charge. Can’t say enough!
Excellent team. Our wedding day was amazing even with the added complexity of traveling between two different venues on the same day. We had a blast on our big day and all our guests did too!
We had the honor of working with Erika and her team for our wedding. From the moment we first met with her, we were embraced and encouraged to share our vision for the big day. She is personable, professional and family at the same time, and got us to communicate our vision. She made the process easy and fun and on the day of, she checked in multiple times to make sure I (the bride) was okay. She went above and beyond. You get the best wedding planner and gain a family member in the process. We are so glad not only to have had her help us with our wedding, but to have her as a part of our life forever.
Erika is the second best decision we made as a couple, second only to us deciding to get married! Our venue provided a list of recommendations for month of coordinators and we are so glad Erika decided to take us on especially because our wedding was on New Year’s Eve. From our first phone call, she had already begun to calm our nerves for the big day. She is kind, professional and has an amazing eye for design. She helped my Christmas/NYE vision come to life! She took care of my vendors seamlessly. When I had a major panic attack before the ceremony, she was by my side helping me and ensuring I got to the altar. She is fun and even danced with us and our guests at our wedding! There are so many wonderful things to say about Erika. I would recommend her to anyone for any occasion!
Erika was a huge help in allowing us to enjoy our wedding day. Erika made us feel at ease and not get overwhelmed by all the tasks that come with executing a great wedding. If I had to describe her she is polite, knowledgeable, friendly and you could consider her your honorary maid of honor with all the things she took care for us. Erika coordinated with all our vendors and provided our timelines and made sure all the our wedding decor was properly displayed and had the whole wedding event go smoothly. Thank You Erika for your huge support! We loved working with you!
Erika was by far the best wedding planner! She was there for me prior to the start of the pandemic until my wedding day. When the pandemic hit she did an amazing job contacting all my vendors about my postponement. I don’t know what I would have done without her. She also does an amazing job coordinating the day of your wedding with her team. She focuses on you and only you. You will not regret hiring Erika! :)
We had such a great experience with Erika and her team! She was attentive, detail-oriented, and attentive from the moment we started working with her until the wedding day. She handled everything from our family and friends to the little details for the ceremony and reception setup. Erika and her team made my wedding day worth the two years of postponing.
Erika was my month-of wedding coordinator, and while she was my first, I'm still pretty sure she's the best. She handled LITERALLY everything, she was so professional yet fun, and nothing went wrong thanks to her. That's not to say things didn't try to go wrong -- she just handled everything without a glitch.
And I'm talking big issues -- my wedding venue director was an absolute burning trashcan; I have no idea how she even handles getting dressed in the morning, and Erica handled her firmly and efficiently. Issues ranged from DOUBLE BOOKING my ceremony time to LOSING OUR OUTFITS from the bridal suite to just generally being an unpleasant monster, and Erica handled it all without letting me stress.
I had like half a vision and she helped me form the rest--when I walked into the wedding hall, everything was totally, 100% perfect; and it wouldn't have been without her. Not to mention, she became my best friend for a month just by being hilarious, fun, and personable! So grateful to her!
Erika is more than an event planner, she becomes a part of your family. She is so talented and gifted as a wedding planner, you will not regret the decision to work with her. Erika planned my 200+ person wedding after two reschedules (COVID) and a number of pivots. I just got my pictures back and wow, it was more beautiful than even I remembered lol. I was in the clouds the entire day.
Erika ALWAYS maintained a positive attitude and encouraged me throughout the process. I would say her superpower is her design eye and relationship building. Everyone in my family and every vendor that connected with her felt cared for and respected fully. She always went above and beyond to make my vision come to life. Do yourself a favor and hire Erika!
I have worked with Erika for about 3 years on multiple weddings at Avenue of the Arts Hotel in Costa Mesa. She is perfectly organize, has an incredible eye for design, and genuinely cares for each couple. I am fully confident that the wedding is smooth sailing when Erika is on board. When you hire her as a full planner, she goes above and beyond every step of the journey. She has the best team of assistants that are so welcoming and on top of the set up details. I highly recommend Erika for design and planning of your event!!
Erika was fantastic! She was a tremendous help from beginning to wedding date and through the wedding! She took care of everything, was very calm and collected, and helped us be calm and happy when we were stressed! she was fun, thoughtful, caring, and a pleasure to work with. She is the best in the business. Because of Erika, our wedding was great, smooth, and lots of fun. Thank you Erika.
Okay, it took me far too long to write reviews for all my wonderful wedding vendors. Erika is one of those wonderful people!
Erika!!! I can't say enough wonderful things about the spunk she has, her patience, her kindness, her genuine and real advice.
Erika was my first pick though booking a wedding with Avenue of the Arts. I liked her style on her website and I liked that she actually responded to me (that's a big one, LOL). Finally, we started emailing and talking, and I liked that she was soooooo easy to talk to. She still is! She is also really organized and commanding of a situation if you go off the rails (luckily, I didn't). She will steer you in the right direction by asking you what you want, never pressuring you to make a decision you don't want to make or telling you what you should do.
Erika is a really busy gal with all the events and coordinating that she does, but she will make time for you. She always answered my questions within a timely manner, she always made sure to prioritize and organize the thoughts we had for our wedding. She is cordial and friendly and we could chat all day outside of wedding planning and prep - I love that about her!
Pick Erika if you want someone friendly who will work with you, who feels like an old friend you are catching up with, and someone who has great style and suggestions for you when you are stumped!
we ran into Erika at a bridal expo. I was set on saving money and making my own flowers, but she worked with my budget at our flowers were amazing.
She also does event planning and design/decor!
