Lou and his team were amazing! They truly did work very hard for us. They were flexible when the night was running behind due to the rain. We are so happy we chose Event Advantage!

Planning a wedding can be stressful as it is and none the less doing so from across the country! I really wanted to give a better rating as I did for every other vendor on our big day, but need to be honest. With large gaps in communication leading up to the big day from the team at Event Advantage, to the DJ (not Louis & seemed incredibly flustered throughout the entire event) messing up several big announcements/names, dropped the ball on the ceremony music, fumbled through reception song choices (several family members including myself asked to kindly change songs and even gave a few suggestions), down to the cookies that I was assured by Louis were hand made by his daughter and would come in a mix of snickerdoodle, frosted, chocolate chip, etc., (for $300) when in fact we were told by the server behind the table that they were store bought. 2 stars is the best I could bring myself to give. A wedding is supposed to be that ONE time in your life where a business owner should do their very best to ensure they are paying the closest of attention to details (food, music etc.). Specially when you are completing an event planner form that listed out EVERY item, song, and name so all one had to do was print out and have the DJ read it at the specified times. I even went as far as sending photos of the venue to ensure they knew where things would go seeing how I was across the country. Unfortunately Event Advantage missed the mark and sadly cost my husband and I $3k for nothing more than delicious tacos. We unfortunately will not be recommending Event Advantage with Louis Chiero for any future events.

Amazing experience. Event Advantage covered our DJ, Week of Coordinator, Catering, Bartenders and rentals. Amazing communication they worked so hard to make all of our details a reality. There staff was so helpful and answered allot of emails and phone calls for us. DJ was the best I have ever heard and I have been to allot of Weddings. He really read the crowd and did allot of original mixes and Mashups. Emcee was amazing kept everything moving. Everyone danced all night long. The food was some of the best I have ever had in my life. 10 of my guests told me it was the best meal they had had in there life. I can't say enough about this company best decision we could have made.

My wife and I hired Lou for our November 2022 wedding. We purchased a package including DJ services and a photobooth. Form the first conversation with Lou, he was nothing but professional courteous and provided plenty of information so we could make an informed decision. He was readily available to talk about our needs before the event. He came with us for a walkthrough at our venue to understand the layout so he could have the perfect setup for our wedding. He was attentive to details and coordinated all of our special songs/dances well. He arrived at the venue early to set up and make sure he had everything he needed. We had a complicated setup at different locations around the venue. He did a great job coordinating speeches during dinner. We thought his mc style worked well with our guests, and he got people on the dancefloor the whole time. The photobooth was awesome and we highly recommend. We also opted to get some additional services such as a monogram, dancing on the clouds, and uplighting, which to be honest were just ok. Overall great value. Most importantly, Lou took the time to understand the vibe we wanted for the wedding and listened to all our requests.

My bride and I could not have been happier with Lou/Event Advantage. We hired them to DJ our wedding reception of about 100 people and Lou did an amazing job!! We were feeling so overwhelmed with the last-minute stressors, as per any couple, and Lou did a great job giving us a rundown of everything we should expect and the proceeding order of events of the reception. During the event itself, he was an amicable and popular MC and, most importantly, he helped me feel in total control of the event. Between the very helpful staff at the Croatian American Cultural Center and Lou, I felt confident in directing my family members and providing support to my bride. Music wise: I provided Lou with a detailed set of playlists and gave him wiggle-room to play music for the audience demographic. He conducted accordingly and the event went smoothly. We also enlisted him to do a fog machine during our first dance and a photo booth throughout the event; all of it went great! I really am incredibly appreciative of Lou and the hard work that he put into my reception.

I booked Event Advantage as a DJ for my October 2022 wedding because thier package and pricing fit my needs. The initial communication was great however leading up to the wedding there was a complete lack of communication. A month before the wedding I called and emailed them to confirm and go over the details however it took 3 calls and a few emails to get a response. I finally had my husband call and they picked up but couldn't talk at that moment. I had honestly thought I was being ghosted and I had started developing contingency plans. In early emails I was told to fill out the planning sheet and then call to discuss it and if I needed help with anything they would help. There planning sheet was difficult to use and outdated. Most of what was on it did not apply to our wedding. I sent it back to them as well as a table that clearly outlined our time schedule, music preferences and choosen songs. This was in the same detailed format that I sent all of my wedding vendors and the feedback I got from other vendors was that it was extremely organized and helpful, however event advantage told me that "there DJ's are not trained to use that". I was finally able to schedule a meeting with them to discuss details for the Tuesday before my Saturday wedding. However, after waiting an hour without them calling at the designated, we left for dinner and then they finally called while we were in the car. The owner was the one who called us and not the assigned Dj. It would have been really helpful to talk to the Dj that came to our wedding because there was many missed communications. I went into my wedding day thinking that it was a 50/50 shot someone would show up based on the lack of communication leading up to that point. A very nice man did show up, which was great. He was very friendly but unprepared, I do not think any of this was his fault. I think it is the companies lack of organization. He did not have our ceremony songs downloaded and our ceremony site had little cell reception. Thankful one of groomsmen was able to set up a hotspot for him to be able to download the songs. The perssesional was the wrong version of the song eventhough I had sent the exact version to the owner of the company. Getting to the reception the Dj did not know what the anniversary dance was and I had to explain it to him. We also had not picked out a song for it which was something I forgot, however it should've been something that the company noticed. One of the major things my husband and I were looking forward to was this "prank" we were going to play on all our guest were we called them all out to dance to the acoustic version of "Get Low" and then it switched into the normal version, which would then start the party. This got messed up because the DJ only called the wedding party out. This was a small thing but dissapointed me because we had really looked forward to that moment. Overall the music played was okay, we told them middle school dance vibes but it kinda missed the mark. Again that is something that could've been fixed if we had actually met with the Dj before hand. My guests did a great job taking over the song request sheet which in turn gave us the party we wanted. I wanna stress that I think the Dj there did the best that the company prepared him for and that the lack of communication from the company was the downfall. They were incredibly difficult to work with but they showed up!

The DJ did a great job communicating with the bride and groom to keep everything running smoothly and on time! Music was a great mix and he kept the crowd engaged! 10/10 recommended

DJ Lewis and photo booth staff were amazing for our wedding! He played all the songs we wanted and frequently checked in on the timeline to make sure we were ready for all the special events. Excellent service and professional all around. Highly recommend!!

Lou from Event advantage is a great DJ and MC! He was on top of the itinerary for the evening and he made sure everyone had a great time dancing with his mixes! Event advantage also provided a really cool photo booth. I would 100% recommend event advantage for your next wedding or event!

Just wanted to say If your looking for a dj do not book with Event Advantage !! Their Dj was an hour and a half late. My ceremony started an hour later . It through me off schedule and had to rush things. My ceremony songs weren’t correct. Their microphones didn’t work and their Dj admitted this was his first gig ! I just talked to the owner 3 days prior to my wedding and went over all the details one last time with him! My grand entrance was embarrassing and my bridesmaid had to announce me and my husband because the Dj didn’t. The dj then said he didn’t know how to put the microphones together. Then I had dancing on a cloud well was supposed too and none of that worked so I didn’t get that. The dj asked my UNCLE to do emcee because he didn’t know how to emcee!! So my uncle had to scream to announce everything because their weren’t any microphones. Father of the bride dance, the dj didn’t have our songs edited so we had to plug in our phone through an aux cord and play a YouTube video very low with all the regular noise in the background (it was a mash up, and we took dancing lessons)! None of our songs were right & all the company has to say is excuses on why it happened including apparently the colfax fire is what caused the dj to not have any of our paperwork which makes absolutely zero cents. They will not give me my pictures from the photo booth that we are supposed to get. I asked for my deposit back and they won’t give that back neither. The owner has so many excuses, but an apology or anything ! She is beyond rude and very unprofessional! We have the whole night recorded of everything! We literally had to take over on everything for the dj because he didn’t even know which cords plugged into where. Give me my photos and my deposit back ! You say the customer is always right but yet Chellie is beyond unprofessional!! Same with Lou! You guys are liars ! Unless you want to cry at your wedding, because everything you were promised went wrong, then don’t choose them! Their is a lady named Monique that just went through the same thing as me ! And all event advantage does is try to threaten you with an attorney for writing bad reviews, everything from my wedding was recorded!

If I could give zero or negative stars I would as this was the worse customer service I have ever encountered. The owners Lou and Michelle were very rude, dishonest, unprofessional and have horrible communication skills. The list of issues we had with their event service is listed below. The DJ they contract with DJ Corey is unprofessional as well. Of course in the beginning they were responsive and nice but after our event when we tried to talk to them about all the issues we encountered they were non responsive. The little communication we did have with them they were very rude and unprofessional. They said they couldn't contact us back because they did not have our contact information when we have contacted them via text, email and phone they for some convenient reason couldnt find our contact info after the event occurred and all the issues they had at our wedding. Our last conversation was them saying we are aware of the issues but not sure what we want from them and that we need to contact their DJ if we are unhappy. Not to mention the photobooth they promised was non operative a week prior to our wedding and we had to scramble to find one last minute. I just could not believe the lack of customer service and communication that was provided when we told them about the issues. You would think as professionals they would at least try to follow up with us, but instead they put the blame elsewhere. I also have never had a company tell me "I'm not sure what you want from us" when I am calling to talk to them of the issues we have with their contractors. I would not recommend this company to anyone for any event services. This was the worse experience I have ever had when dealing with a company. List of issues: 1.DJ Not dressed professional. Looked like he was going to a backyard bbq. 2. No wireless mics after he stated he would provide wireless mics for ceremony. 3. Mics provided cut off halfway through our ceremony. Guest did not hear vows. 4. MC services- he did not know what was happening even with provided time line. Did not tell guest after ceremony where to go or what to do timely. Kept asking us questions and referring to packet during the wedding. 5. Did not play intro song to reception. We walked in to awkward silence. 6. Did not have availability to play songs guest requested. He said he didn't Have wifi but as a DJ he should have songs on a drive or downloaded. 7. Did not know how to transition songs, songs ended with awkward silence until next song started. 8. He took at least a dozen smoke breaks in a 4 hour period. 10. No titles of songs in computer so you could only pick song by artist name and guess which song will play. 11. He was not well versed is the genre of music we asked him to play and discussed with him prior to our wedding. During ceremony he said he is not familiar with the that type of music and we would have to tell him what to play.

We are so happy to have had Lou & his crew cater our wedding! The food was absolutely amazing! I highly recommend going ALL OUT ! Do the Filet & the Duck and OMG the carrots in Grand Marnier were unbelievable! & I don't understand how rice pilaf could possibly be THAT delicious! & go crazy with appetizers- they were ALL AMAZING! Lou's prices are totally reasonable - and going with the higher end stuff is SO WORTH IT!

This was the best decision we could of made for our special day! The music and food where amazing and everything looked perfect!!!! All of my guests where extremely happy and comfortable and where asking where I found this amazing company!! Would definitely be telling all of my friends about it!! Best day of my life thank you guys so much.

Event Advantage provided the Emcee and DJ for my sisters ceremony/reception and we couldn’t have been happier! Pricing, service, and skill was all up to par. I was nervous before the event as I didn’t have much communication with the DJ because I was so busy getting everything else ready. I had nothing to worry about though, they knew exactly what they were doing and didn’t need to be babysat or walked through the entire night. There was a great music selection and everyone has a blast. Bottom line...you won’t regret hiring this company! I would definitely hire again!

Event Advantage did the catering and Emcee for our wedding. Firstly, all of the food selections were amazing, down to the appetizers. Chef Louis is truly gifted. I honestly would have expected to pay much more for a meal of this quality. All of their staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Many guests shared my opinion, as well. The DJ was very professional and worked so hard to keep everything moving. He was funny, interacted with guests and always had a smile on his face. He played fun games with our guests and kept everything moving perfectly through the timeline that he provided. All of our guests kept telling us how much they loved the music being played. He played a great variety of genres and kept everyone dancing. He even did some original mixes. I cannot say enough about Event Advantage. They handled so much leaving me to enjoy my perfect day.
