I can't say enough about the excellent food and level of service Event Design Productions provided for our daughter's wedding. Our guests went out of their way to tell us how good the food was. I would not even interview another caterer. Just go with Event Design Productions, ask for Cindy. Trust me, you won't regret it!
I don't know where to start but WOW...! I hired Event Design Production for my wife’s birthday party, and it was a success! Amazing food, great quality, and the friendliest, nicest staff. The gentleman serving us was super nice and polite. The food was fresh and made to order. We were so happy with the service from beginning to the end that we will continue to use them. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Cindy went above and beyond to ensure everything was a success.
My sister in law got married 2 weeks ago at the Curtiss Mansion and hired EDP to coordinate everything for her wedding. Let me just say that we were beyond pleased with every single little detail. Sindy and her staff were amazing. Sindy paid such close attention to detail and made sure that everything was organized and and perfectly executed on the day of her event. She was literally on top of everything and even made sure that at the end of the event she herself was picking up all of our decorations that were personally brought to the venue. I would highly Recommend EDP for all of your social events and rest assured that you will not regret your decision. I can't wait to host an event myself and hire sindy and EDP again myself.
My daughter's sweet 16 were amazing. I can not give this business ten stars so five will have to do. To begin with, the professionalism shown as well as the attention to detail surpasses any expectation I may have had of good service. The food was ten stars. The cakes was ten stars. The staff was ten stars. This service was exemplary and I will definitely be calling them again. It has been my honor to work with the entire team. Cindy knew what we wanted before we even knew and she executed the plan with a sophisticated touch like no other. We could not be more pleased.
I am blessed to say that Event Design Productions exceeded expectations and was worth every penny! My wedding was on December 18, 2020 at the Ancient Spanish Monastery. Liliana always communicated effectively and eased my anxiety 24/7. I am so grateful for her! She was extremely professional, patient, and sweet! EDP was nothing short of amazing! My main point of contact was Cindy and I cannot recommend them enough! She was so attentive to me and always answered my texts and emails as soon as possible. She was great in giving lots of advice and expertise. Cindy went above and beyond for us! She helped us plan since the beginning and made all my dreams come true. Everything turned out beautifully. The cake was so beautiful and delicious & the food was INCREDIBLE! All of the staff were so helpful and attentive. Everyone is still talking about how amazing everything was. My husband and I are so thrilled with Cindy and her whole team and are so happy we decided to go with EDP as our wedding vendors. EDP offered us an unbeatable deal that included pretty much anything you would need at the wedding (DJ, flowers, catering, rentals, cake and day of planning). I was hesitant at first, wanting originally to go with separate companies for each item but given the fact that I was not planning to have a wedding planner it made more since to have the services done by one company. We met with Cindy (who was my day of coordinator as well) and she was so sweet and to the point that we were immediately sold. It is a family business that they run and every member was a pleasure to work with, from the florist to the DJ, they are all very good at what they do. We had a lot of obstacles due to the COVID pandemic but as soon as the county gave the green light, Cindy and EDP were on board and ready to go despite the loss of time for planning we had due to quarantine. The day of the wedding the service was absolutely amazing especially by Cindy who was on top of everything throughout the night, my florals were breathtaking and everything I had asked for was done to perfection, the food was raved about by so many guests who eagerly went up for seconds, and the music was on point throughout our night. The bake shop they work with is equally amazing and it’s owner equally talented. Overall so happy with the outcome and with our unforgettable wedding!
I was married on 04/20/19 at the Pelican Club in Jupiter Florida and what a wedding it was! I do not have enough words to explain what an amazing job Event Design Productions did. Prior our first meeting I had several discussions with Cindy Salas about my ideas and the look I wanted for the wedding. From the moment we stepped into their show room we were treated with some much attention and in a very professional manner. Their team prepared a few table samples, prior to our arrival, for us to view and I was very impressed. Once I met Cindy Salas and Alba Gallardo I knew I had met the team I wanted to work with. They were very attentive to what I wanted, they listened carefully and provided their professional opinion on how to improve the game plan. After that first meeting I knew that I could trust their team to execute the look and feel I wanted. A week before the wedding their team traveled to Jupiter and visited both the ceremony site and the venue in order to plan accordingly. The day of the wedding they arrived early and executed the plan to PERFECTION. Not only did they execute but they went above and beyond what they were supposed to do. The venue looked spectacular and all my guests were amazed at the decorations, it was a phenomenal job! I felt like all my dreams had come true and it was because of them. I must say working with Cindy, Alba and their team was truly a blessing. Event Design Productions was by far my favorite vendor that I worked with. Do yourself a favor and book them.
Lily and Cindy made everything come true! They were both so patient with me (bride). I was quite the opposite of a traditional bride. I never knew what or how I wanted things for the wedding. They helped me create absolutely everything and made our wedding a dream come true. I was really nervous about the food, but MY OH MY did it turn out delicious the day of the wedding. My guests gave us good compliments about the hors d’oeuvres, salad, and dinner meal. We were very pleased! They work very relaxed since they are true professionals and know exactly what to do at all times. Their constant reassurance always helped me calm my nerves. They will provide everything you need and I am so happy I was able to work with them! Thank you times a million Event Design Production.
Best of the best!!!! Look no further, save your self time and stress and just go with EDP. Liliana and Alba nailed my wedding. It was on New Year's eve with 150 people and they covered everything without skipping a beat or any hiccups! All of my friends and family are still raving about the food, decorations, and just EVERYTHING they did. I can't thank you enough Liliana and Alba! I love you guys! My husband and I are so very grateful for Alba and Lily. Words cannot express how blessed we are to have had them work with us for our wedding. I booked them before we were officially engaged and it was the best decision we made. I got married at the Fire Tower and let me tell you my wedding was absolutely stunning. At one point I was going crazy trying to figure out last minute things like the linen order and the seat arrangements, etc.. and they told me to calm down because they've got it under control. That was exactly what I needed to hear because on the wedding day, they took the worry of my shoulders and my family and I are so grateful for all they did between monitoring the weather, dealing with a not so easy to work with venue and keeping everything on schedule. There is no way we could have pulled off our wedding without their help and knowledge; they are truly experts and gifted in their roles. My arrangements on the table and the setting was BEAUTIFUL. The food was delicious. The candy station was yummy. all we had to do was show up and get married! I will never forgot this day. It was beyond my expectations. Thank you for everything and all that you do.
We cannot thank the team at Event Design Productions. From day one, Lily, Alba, Andy, and Omar made us feel completely comfortable. Whatever it took to make us feel stress-free and at ease, The Venue went above and beyond to take care of all of our needs, wants, and dreams. Their level of professionalism is outstanding - from the early days of planning to the execution of the events, they never once failed to accommodate. I became friends with the planners, as they were so welcoming and easy to talk to, and reassured me constantly that everything would be beautiful - and it was. The place was beautiful. The food was amazing. All of our guests commented about how delicious the food was, and couldn't get enough. This proves that their entire team works incredibly together to ensure that every moment of your (our) special day runs seamlessly.I didn't worry one bit - I knew I was in good hands at all times. I am so happy I chose EDP for our wedding this past weekend. Alba and Liliana brought to reality my dream wedding. The food was delicious, the flowers were exactly how i pictured them, the dj kept everyone on the dance floor the entire night. They made the planning process easy and enjoyable. Our church delayed everything because the priest was more than an hour late and Liliana from EDP helped me speed everything up with the reception so we could have time to do everything we planned. Liliana saved us food and was on top of everything the whole night. They really our wedding night special.

When I called EDP, I didn't know where to start planning my wedding. Alba stepped in and took care of everything—I didn't have to worry about not even one thing. My wedding day was virtually stress-free. Working full-time, I can't imagine how I could have done all of this without EDP's help. Alba and her team truly helped me out.
Where do I even start? EDP are the very BEST!! From beginning to end, they took meticulous care of each and every detail. I love EDP!!!!! They went out of their way to make sure that everything I had requested for the wedding was flawlessly executed! Alba was a total delight to work with and totally took away my stress! The venue was beautiful and fit just right into my budget. The staff there was great and did just about everything to make us feel comfortable. From the first sit-down with the representative of the company, she was very clear and caring. They were able to work with us to pay for the wedding in installments and took care of EVERYTHING, from the ceremony to the food, drinks, etc.
A few weeks before the wedding we did a private tasting with the chef and were treated like royalty! (which made us feel really special.)

We got engaged two years before the wedding but it was not until March 2017 that we decided to leave our celebration in the hands of a professional.
Since we met our wedding planner Karina and Alba from Event Design Productions, we took away many concerns from the search for the details that were not yet defined (such as the ballroom, decoration, church, and even the food) Karina sent us ideas, recommendations, she toured us around the ballroom, and was always willing to meet our demands.
The day of the celebration she was responsible for taking care of every detail, and our wedding was simply perfect thanks to Event Design Productions.
The food was delicious and the attention of the staff was excellent, they were fast and very gentle.
The decoration, flowers, tablecloths and atmosphere were beautiful, just as we wanted it.
Something very important is the planning of the agenda. Karina gave us great recommendations and the best thing of all is that each of the activities we planned were strictly met and everything went out perfect.
Our wedding was a small but charming celebration, the budget was adjusted to our needs and unlike many other event companies, and their services are not in overpriced.
I definitely recommend them 1000%! Not only for weddings, for any type of event, I would not hesitate for a second to leave in their hands any special occasion.

Started working with Karina from Event Designs Productions in February of this year. Since the first appointment we had a very good feeling, as she was very accommodating to your wants vs need. We had a very clear vision of what we wanted our wedding to look like and she grasped the concept immediately. Throughout the year we met with her several times, as well as called/texted if we had concerns. We truly felt that everything was under control and being taken care of.
The day of the wedding she made sure everything was prepped, it looked like what we imagined, but somehow better. She decorated the venue flawlessly and the event went like clockwork, letting us enjoy our moment and not letting us worry about anything. The DJ got a feel of the crowd quickly and kept the party going. The Catering was on point, they were very attentive and even saved us a plate appetizers. The bartender perfect, we asked for the drinks to be on the heavy side and boy were they HEAVY!!!
This was an AMAZING experience!!! Thank you for making our wedding day so PREFECT!!!

The food was delicious, and the decorations were super cute and super appropiate for school! They had their eyes on the target and hit bullseye!

We were aware of all of our options but EDP was, hands down, the best option while still maintaining outstanding quality. Not only did they help personalize a package that was fit for our budget but also helped make our dream wedding come to life. On our wedding day, when we walked in to our reception, my husband and I were in awe of how beautiful everything looked! Honestly, it looked better than what we had imagined. They even went ahead and added little extra surprises that I hadn't planned for (i.e. extra decorative flowers on all my tables, extra cocktail hour tables for guests, calligraphy signs for decor, etc.). Oh! And I can't forget to mention... the food was DELICIOUS!

If i could describe EDP in two words i would say "MIRACLE WORKERS"! They worked with our budget, and worked with our theme! Mind you we were married in 2002! and we STILL think about it! Now that we are close to our 20 years of Wedded Bliss, we are hoping to do all of our future events!
Alba did a great job planning the graduation party on June 3! The company provided evrything yo ucan think of!! Linens, chairs, centerpieces, napkins, overlays, DJ, Lighting, food! Anything you can name for a party they provided. and they provided the BEST!!

I could not be any happier with my experience with Event Design. Everyone we worked with were so professional and made wedding planning fun, rather than stressful. We are so happy that we picked Event Design Productions to decorate and cater our wedding. The team fantastic to work with and the food was delicious. At our tasting, they suggested (and prepared for us to try) several specialty cocktails, which were the perfect welcome for our guests. They understood our vision for the night and put together a plan that was perfectly suited to us. Everyone has continued to rave about the food, from the passed hors d'oeuvres to the main courses to the miniature cupcakes and other sweets. The quality of the food for the price cannot be beat –DJ was awesome. The decorations were beautiful from the flowers to the tables, the favors, the napkins, etc.. My wedding was a fairy tale. Event Design Productions is hands down, the BEST wedding venue in South Florida. From the second you walk into the venue, you know their staff will provide top notch service and ensure your wedding day is nothing short of perfect. My fiancé and I walked in and met with Alba, and I knew not only did I want to do my wedding with her, but I wanted Alba as my planner. She knows exactly what will work, what will not, and she knew how to carry out my vision (when I admit, I had no idea what that even was) Prior to the wedding, Alba was super organized and made sure to get ALL the details needed to make the wedding run smooth. She would send helpful hint emails about things brides may never even think about!! Day of the event, Alba and the rest of the staff were PHENOMENAL!!!! The food was amazing!!!!! The appetizers was delicious. The makeup artist let me looking beautiful. (Thank you Yani and Rina ) They truly make you feel like the luckiest girl alive. I couldn't recommend a better place, a better team, better food, or better atmosphere to get married at. The food was INCREDIBLE! Our guests are still raving about it 2 weeks later. The main course looked and tasted out of a food magazine. The arepas during cocktail and our late night empanadas and finger foods were delicious.
Many guests also commented on the wait staff and bartenders. They mentioned that they were polite , quick and went out of their way to be attentive.
We had the inclusive package that included , cake, linens, flowers, makeup artist, limo, Dj, equipment rentals and the must of day of coordination services). There is no better deal than this! ( I priced it all individually and it does not come close to the high end services you are getting with this package). Event Design Productions aligns its self with the best vendors in the business and coordinates it all for you. Over all everything was Amazing. Special Thanks to Alba and her staff. I wanted to thank Events Designs Production for planning my best friend's wedding. The wedding was so beautiful from the floral decorations to the full open bar, to the DJ that kept the party going to celebrate such a important day! They took care of every detail that made the wedding so unique and lavish. They made sure the lighting was perfect for the best photos that they took of the bride and groom. The main dish was so enjoyable from the taste to the gourmet presentation of the entrée was spectacular, not to mention the main attraction the cake was very elegant and memorable. The Caterers were pleasant and provided a exquisite service that made the event a unforgettable experience. I would recommend them to my friends and family because they are a great team of people working together to make any event a Real Event!!

I got married in The Douglas and everything came out beautiful.The set up was beautiful The catering was delicious. (amazing food) Alba and her staff has made my whole wedding planning experience more enjoyable than I could have ever imagined and entirely stress free. She has a very creative eye and really knows how to put things together the right way. She would go above and beyond to give any bride the wedding of her dreams. I couldn’t have done it without her. I knew the moment I met her that she was the right wedding planner for me. the BEST! I highly recommend her and I’m so thankful for everything she has done to make my dream wedding become a reality. I am super happy. She is AMAZING!!! =)
Where do we begin? From day one, I think Alba knew I was a high-maintenance bride, a sweet one lol , She and her team handled all of our ridiculous requests from the beginning with grace... by ridiculous, I mean a u-haul From centerpieces, and special decor for all over the ceremony/reception. We had a very specific plan for the day of the wedding, and we were totally ready to execute. Alba and her team were great. Our guests were so delighted and loved the whole setting. We cannot thank them enough for being the perfect planner. Do yourself a favor and don't choose anyone else :). WE LOVE YOU ALBA!
I don't even know where to begin with my review for Event Design Productions. They did an EXTRAORDINARY job and I have never been so grateful that I had such a wonderful team to work with. Alba is beyond amazing. She executed my vision so perfectly. It was a million times more than I could have ever imagined. She truly made my fairy tale wedding come true. The flowers, decor, and service were above and beyond. We received so many compliments on how beautiful everything for the wedding was, and it was all because of Alba. It was the best money I spent all wedding. organized. I received so many compliments on how organized our whole wedding was . I am so truly thankful for this group because without them our wedding would not have been as perfect. It was honestly a magical night. Thank you for everything! You guys are awesome.
I want to thank Alba and her team from Event Design Productions for taking care of my daughter's wedding on December 22nd last year. Everybody was very professional, kind, responsible and special. Since we signed the contract they were on top of us, guiding us and giving us many advices, so my daughter can have a spectacular wedding. Our 165 guests were happy, the food was amazing, the decoration was more than elegant...just like she wanted!. The DJ and the music were very nice and everybody was taking care of us until the very end of the party. That gave us a lot of peace. We did not have to take care of anything. THANK YOU guys for making this day, a very special day for my daughter and my family!!!
People are still talking about my wedding. It was beautiful. The staff was amazing and friendly and super-efficient. They set everything up and broke it down before I knew it. I'm telling you – Event Design has powers. Admittedly, I was one of those high maintenance, million email brides. The team was super responsive and patient with me. They left no concern unaddressed and no question unanswered. And all at a price that's just about the same as other local (and less highly rated) places. Looking back now, knowing what kind of food and service I was going to get from Event Design, I would have been happy paying twice as much as I did. Totally totally worth it. Love you guys!! Event Design Production are absolutely amazing. Not only did they help make sure everything was perfect - the food was amazing. The presentation was gorgeous, and the servers were very professional making sure not to let drinks or food pile up on the tables. We've gotten multiple compliments from guests on how great the food was and the dessert pastry table was exactly what I wanted. I would recommend Event Design to anyone that asks and I will probably use them again the future. I had such an amazing experience I feel I must post this review on Yelp & Wedding Wire just everywhere.
We are so happy that we picked Event Design to cater and decorate our wedding. Alba and her staff were fantastic to work with and the food was delicious. . Terrible planning experience, wedding planner Barbara “Barbie” Sanchez was negligent, inefficient and unapologetic in all her actions. As a family run business there was no accountability of actions and a great lack of organization skills. I wished we didn’t have some many issues so we could have enjoy our wedding planning experience and our wedding day. We were telling them what to do and working on our wedding day. I urge you to not trust this company with your event especially your wedding.
From the beginning, we had issues with Barbie due to her lack of attention and responsiveness. As the wedding approached, we grew impatient with her lack of attention to our event so we started requesting appointments. In these meetings, we would sit down with her and she would assured us to any request that we had. The one vendor request we had was to book the musicians for the ceremony, one week before the wedding she came back to us to tell us that she didn’t have any options at the already planned and communicated budget. We had to rescue the situation and night before the wedding we reserve a violist.
The wedding planner never coordinated the floral arrangement walkthrough and we had to do a second food tasting as in the first one they served us canned fruits in our “upgraded salad”. We re-wrote the proposal several times to make sure we had everything in writing, and even with that they failed to produce the requested. The worst experience we had was on the day before the wedding, we received pictures of the floral arrangements, and there were nothing like the ones that we had envisioned and provided pictures for in our many sit-downs with Barbie and the owner Alba. The day before our wedding, when we were supposed to be introducing our families and enjoying time together, we rushed to their “showroom” and sat there for more than 4 hours, until they brought in the flowers that—from the beginning of the process we had agreed on. This situation got so frustrated that my wife started to cry as they keep telling us that they needed to review their budget, instead of admitting to their mistake and trying to fix it.
The day of the wedding, the wedding planner was working instead of planning/directing, as they were under staffed, my guests started to arrive and there were still a lot of items missing and people in shorts and sneakers going around. For our ceremony, they completely forgot the detailed diagram that we provided and therefore myself and my groomsmen had to change the layout. This company lacks attention to detail, professionalism, and fulfilling the simple promises that an event company should provide. Another ask we had was for the wedding “planner” to help us coordinate the photos after the ceremony, but she was nowhere to be found. After all these mistakes, we asked her to leave the property. Once the reception started, Omar, the DJ (who is the owner, Alba’s son) messed up our entrance song by playing an entirely different song; as we walked down we looked and each other smiling with disappointment (certainly not what we had envisioned). To make matters worse, our “upgraded” food was very bland and the presentation was terrible—certainly not as we discussed.
As you can see, we had a really bad experience; the people currently in control of this company lack experience and organization. Speaking about this company frustrates us greatly, because they—simply put—messed up our big day. We sincerely regret hiring them.
Thank you to Event Design Productions for making our wedding one to remember! The beauty that both, Rapahella and Alba, put into every detail was beyond our expectations! The process of planning a 300 person wedding was stress free! The day of the wedding, everything came out beautiful and as planned. Music entertaining, danced all night; food and cake delicious; the staff friendly and helpful; and floral arrangements and decor gorgeous! I would recommend this company to whoever is planning an event, they are on top of every detail and you will have a stress free event! Thank you again so much for planning the wedding of our dreams!

Andreina and Alba did such an amazing job! Last minute due to Hurricane Matthew I needed to think of a plan B, we ended up having to change our date from Friday to Sunday... very stressful to say the least. Andreina did a great job in helping keep track of all the things as I called my guests to confirm if they would be able to attend with the new date and time. Day of the venue looked absolutely stunning!!! The flowers were gorgeous and the overall look was exactly as I had communicated to Alba and the team and Alba was sweet enough that she even made us a delicious desert! I do recommend that you do a Mood board or a PowerPoint Presentation with clear expectations, at least this is what I did and they made it come to life! I got a lot of compliments on the food and service as well. My husband and I had one of the team members making sure we had a drink at all times and that we ate, she followed us with the appetizers as we took pictures to make sure we actually tried the food. Great team!!!!
My event was not a wedding but a surprise retirement party for me that my wife Carmen put together with the help of Event Design Owner Alba. From the moment I walked in I was captured by the attention to detail by these true professionals. From seating to tables, center pieces, lighting, up lighting and special effects projections on floor and ceiling. Then the appetizers were plentiful and delicious followed by salad, Amazing main course and decadent deserts. The staff was all professional with smiles to the very end. I would most definitely use them for a wedding or any event you would want to through. There are others out there but if you want the best then stop looking right here! Book'Em NOW !!!
We had an amazing baby shower with Event Design Production...from a delicious buffet with a pasta station ... carved roast beef and tasty salad bar... the dessert table was filled with mini cupcakes, flans and other treats ... Alba and her staff were very professional and willing to please our every need for this event!
I hired them for my birthday party. Everything was awesome, excellent food, very good service and DJ rocks!!!! I will recommend them to anyone

DO NOT HIRE!!! They did a terrible job at my wedding. Lets start with the fact that they arrived late for set up. we added guests and they never added chairs to the count, so there wasn't enough chairs for every one. They didn't bring the flower vases they agreed on bringing. The food was late not enough to the point where guests left because they where hungry. The food was also cold! My friend had to fight with the catering staff so they wouldn't take the liquor I paid for. They magically disappeared 30 glass bowls we bought and allowed them to use. Their "bar" was a table with a white table cloth they wanted to charge $600 for any additional hour. Nothing in their service was worth the price. I regret hiring them.
Alba and her team outdid themselves... our buffet syle meal ended up elegant and VERY tasty. All staff on hand were VERY professional and did an amazing job. I am beyond pleased with the outcome of my wedding.

I'm torn since I had a good experience working with the vendor leading up to the wedding but was disappointed with the actual results. I wanted a caterer that provided a variety of food stations for my wedding and EDP was the only vendor I found that allowed me that variety - I had 8 different stations and the food was very good at the tasting. Barbie and Daniella were both responsive in answering my emails/calls and were flexible when I requested changes to the menu. However, my biggest complaint was in the amount of food at the reception.
I had expressed concern about the amount of food being adequate for 200 guests, which is what I signed the contract for but they re-assured us it would be fine. I understood that small tasting portions would be handed out to guests at each station and that the stations would be re-filled for up to an hour. We ended up having 175 guests RSVP for the wedding so we assumed we'd actually have a little extra. Unfortunately, guests we spoke to after the wedding mentioned they either weren't full or that by the time they went to a station, the food was already gone - and this was before 30 minutes had elapsed in the food service. The Pasta Station, in particular, had a long line throughout the food service since only 2 chefs manned the station and one chef was significantly slower than the other. It seems EDP severely underestimated the amount of food to bring, which upsets me since I would have been willing to pay more to ensure people didn't go hungry.
Also, there was no cake cutter present next to the cake. I had to ask my event planner for one and the best she could get me was a regular kitchen knife that I used to awkwardly cut and serve the cake. A proper cake cutter should have already been there, which was part of the contract and what I see at every other wedding I've attended.
Overall, I would not recommend EDP but if you work with them, make sure you ask about the food portions.
I want to give a special thank you to Event Design and all of their amazing and cooperative staff ! if it wasn't thanks to their company i could honestly say my wedding would have not been a dream day.

Even though they had 3 events that same evening they still managed to make it a beautiful magical evening!!!

Please DO NOT contract this company. Not only will you end up having to deal with many unwanted and unnecessary issues on your wedding day, but they do not even abide by a legally binding contract. They are extremely disorganized; Alba lost my entire file at one point and then after everything was selected for my wedding such as tablecloths, flowers, etc., that ended up missing as well. The food at the wedding was nothing like what we sampled at the tasting and they day of wedding the chicken was under-cooked. Come to find out it was not a chef (like the contract states) that prepared the food, but rather the accountant of the company who prepared it. In addition, I paid three times as much for several children to have adult meals instead of children's meals and they ended up receiving children's meals, after I specifically paid for and stated which children were to receive adult meals and which children were to receive children's meals. One child did not even receive a meal at all and his mother was told "let's see if there are any leftovers." They ask you to turn in a DJ questionnaire as to what music you want played at your wedding, but they do not even bother to prepare for your wedding. As I was on my way to my wedding reception, I receive a text message from one of their employees, stating that she is unable to find the song that I was supposed to dance to with my husband as out first dance. I had to google it and send it to her via text. The straw that broke the camel's back was when Alba failed to provide my guests with the party favors my bridal party and I had so painstakingly created. I purchased glass coasters in which I had professional engagement photos taken and cropped, in order to place them inside the coasters. As I'm walking around greeting my guests, I notice there aren't any coasters on the tables. When I ask Barbie what happened (because of course Alba is nowhere to be found at your actual event), the response was "Are you sure you gave them to me?" After I replied yes, the response is "Well I don't know. Do you want me to go back to the office and look for them?" knowing full well that you are not going to send the sole representative who's in charge of making sure your wedding goes smoothly out to look for something on the other side of town at 10:00 pm that may or may not show up. A week after my wedding, I call to see if my coasters turned up and I was told "oh yeah, they're here." No apology, no offer to bring them to me, nothing. Afterwards, I call Alba to discuss the situation and ask for a refund of the "tip" I paid that was listed in the contract as an optional service charge, which she MADE me pay PRIOR to my wedding (her exact words were it has to be paid before, so basically read between the lines) with a check made payable to her husband. She replied by stating that she would speak to her employee to see what happened and she would call me back. As you can guess, she never called me back and on numerous attempts to reach her, she would not pick up my phone calls or return any voice mails. Do not make the same mistake on what is supposed to be one of the most special days of your life.
My overall experience with this company was a little on the disenchanting side. The venue I selected recommended them so I decided to give them a try. The whole business transaction was easy: I told them what I wanted, they offered me some options, I did a selection, made some payments and everything was set. Or so I thought. The day of my wedding they had five other events going on at the same time. I knew they were going to have a crazy day but I thought they would be prepared for all possible set-backs. They are professionals after all right? Well… in Florida if it rains, everything slows down. The day of my wedding was forecasted to be a rainy day, and so it was. Low and behold, the food was late. The venue provided them three full hours for set up. My cocktail hour started at 5PM. You would think that they would have enough time to make sure they could prepare the bar and hors d'oeuvres, but no. The food arrived 5 minutes before the guests starting arriving (and my guests were late too!) so they barely managed to put together something quick to pass around. Out of the four selected hors d'oeuvres, only two made it, and the other two were something that was bought at a Publix maybe 15 minutes before everyone arrived, never mind that it definitely wasn’t what I paid for. Their staff was also a little on the unprofessional side. More than one of my guests complained that the waiters were rude. Some people told me the actual dinner food was cold. I really didn’t notice much, and overall the woman in charge of the coordination was a doll and she made sure I had a nice dinner and that we followed the timeline, which we did, as close to what we had planned as possible. However, despite the rain we were very lucky. It could have been a total disaster if we hadn’t had another company taking care of the décor. My poor sister had a horrible time the day of my wedding because she was the contact person and she was trying not to freak out in front of me. I personally reached out after the wedding to talk to them about some of these issues but till this day I have not received a reply. At the end of the day, everything goes well that ends well… or so they say…. But my honest review? Just beware.
If I could put into words how amazing my wedding was I would!! It was my fairytale wedding I've always wanted ever since I was a little girl! Alba, Jacky & Raphaella were so welcoming from the moment I came in to the last moment of my wedding. They worked with my budget and we're always so available and open to my ideas! It was so cost effective and the communication was so easy! They always answered so quickly and sent me updates, ideas too keep me updated! If I could get married again (which I won't) I would totally to it with Event Design!
The quality of service was amazing! Alba knew everything I wanted and had everything worked out even before I knew I needed it. My wedding was one for the books and I was nothing but happy that Event Design was there by my side. The flowers, staff, decorations and food was beyond exquisite and the planning was down to every detail. I know that if I had questions they replied for everything and they were very flexible with budget. I completely recommend them for your services!!!!
The food was good, nicely presented. They went out of their way to be wonderful. A great family run business. Don't use their cake person, she charged 250 dollars extra, the cake was fantastic at tasting... so dry my seven year old wouldn't eat it for the real wedding cake... and the design was far off what was discussed.
