We can’t say enough good things about Michele & the EPDC planning team, but we’ll try to stick to the highlights for this review! We initially contacted Michele after getting engaged in late January 2024 to see if it was realistic to plan a wedding in Fall 2024 (about 9-10 months out), given our guest count (~100 guests) and budget. And we appreciated that before agreeing to take us on as full-service clients, Michele first researched whether there were available venues we liked within our date range and budget. (We feel many planners wouldn’t do this beforehand).
From there, EPDC’s full-services planning was invaluable. Michele really understood our vision and what was most important to us, and she helped us build an incredible vendor team that was within our budget. I cannot express how thankful I am that her team was able to send us a shortlist of available vendors who aligned with our aesthetic and budget for each critical vendor decision. All we had to do was interview our top 1 or 2 candidates, which saved us so much time! And we didn’t have to worry about whether these vendors would deliver quality products/services. In addition to logistics, Michele also helped us with our seating design, florals and creative vision. She really has an eye for the creative details, and I knew after she got to know my husband and I that we could trust her to run with items like the décor, and she would create something magical on our behalf.
Our wedding was 2 weeks ago, and it exceeded all our expectations!! All of our vendors were amazing & everything went so smoothly, and we credit the EPDC team for that. Our friends and family continuously remarked on how the event captured the “essence of us” – it was beautiful and intimate, yet relaxed and genuine. We loved being able to relax and enjoy the weekend with family and friends. Thank you, EPDC!
Michele did a great job making my wedding day come together! She recommended vendors she had worked with before, and they delivered excellent results. She helped keep me on track with timelines and handled all the logistics, which made the process much easier for me.
I asked for many recommendations along the way, and Michele was always ready with thoughtful suggestions or just to talk it through. On the wedding day, I was able to fully enjoy myself without worrying about the schedule, thanks to Michele and her team.

Wow, where do I even start? Michele, Debby, and their amazing team were just phenomenal! From the very first chat about our wedding, I felt like I was in the best hands possible. Seriously, planning a wedding can be super stressful, but these ladies made it feel like a walk in the park.
Michele was like my wedding fairy godmother! She listened to all my crazy ideas and dreams and helped me figure out how to make them a reality. Debby is like the organizational wizard of the group—she kept everything on track and made sure I didn’t lose my mind with all the details. They took all the stress off my shoulders right from the start.
When it came time for the big day, I was just blown away! They created the most spectacular space for us and our guests. It was like stepping into a dream! Every little detail was just perfect, and the atmosphere was magical.

My (now) husband and I live on the west coast, but wanted to get married in MD/VA area, where we both grew up. Michele and her staff made planning a wedding from 3,000 miles away so easy! Everything was taken care of, and the day-of was completely flawless, from the ceremony, to transportation, to the reception!
Michele recommended all of the vendors we ended up using, and they nailed the vision that we were dreaming of!

Michele was absolutely amazing!! We had less than 3 months to plan our wedding and Michele arranged everything so effortlessly and quickly. She arranged meetings with the photographer, caterer, bakery, and venue. All we had to do was show up and pick what we wanted. She was so nice and encouraging! The best thing I did for my wedding planning was hire Michele! I did not have the bandwidth to plan a wedding myself on top of work and other commitments. Michele has great connections, which makes vendor selection easy! The first time I met with Michele, I told her the "feeling" I wanted for our venue and she immediately knew the perfect place. Michele and her team truly made our wedding day everything I had imagined. When we walked into our venue on the wedding day, I was so excited because it was exactly what I was picturing in my head during the months before our big day. From the timeline, to small details, to troubleshooting, to answering all of my questions, she is an amazing resource and vendor to hire on to your wedding day team. I didn't want to be stressed in the weeks leading up to it, and it was so reassuring to know that an experienced set of eyes was keeping everything in line! The month of the wedding she was in contact with all of my vendors, making sure that everything would be perfect the day of. She also referred wonderful vendors to us that I wouldn't have known otherwise, while being mindful of our budget. Our wedding day ran smoothly and I have to credit it all to her team. My husband and I were able to enjoy our day without stressing about what was happening next, what time it was, or where we needed to be. She guided us through the whole day! We ran out of bourbon during our wedding, but I didn't even know because a member of her team was able to run to a liquor store and restock before I even knew. Talk about problem solving!

Like many, we had to postpone our wedding twice this year and finally decided to host a micro-wedding last minute for our family and hold off until 2021 for our large wedding. Michele stayed in touch with us throughout this crazy year discussing options and helping us make difficult decisions. We decided to use Event Planning DC for both our intimate wedding this year in addition to our wedding next year. Michele and Carly did an amazing job to say the least! I don't know if I even have the words to describe how WONDERFUL Michele and her team are! We got engaged in November 2018 and we knew immediately that we wanted Michele to help us plan our day! Michele went above and beyond in every way, helping us through every step of the never ending process that is Wedding planning. I was definitely a very anxious and easily stressed out Bride. Whenever I was feeling even the slightest bit of panic, Michele would call me right then and there no matter what she was doing and instantly talk me off the ledge. Never once did I worry that I was in great hands.
We were supposed to have our wedding in April 2020, but obviously because of the pandemic, we didn't have the wedding we imagined. However, we did get married on our original day with a small Micro-Wedding. Michele ensured that the day still was celebrated and so special! She even surprised us with a mini version of our wedding cake! We still intend to have our party next Spring, and with the help of Michele and her team, I know it will be well worth the wait.
Michele is the best! She would have to be to be able to guide us through a COVID wedding. My daughter was supposed to get married April 25th, 2020. Invitations had gone out, deposits paid and we were ready for the big day when the bottom fell out in March - LOCK DOWN. Michele jumped in and basically had to redesign the whole wedding soup to nuts. She managed to lock in an alternate date, find a new photographer, work with the caterer and hotel to reschedule everything.
We have had to postpone twice and honestly I would have had a heart attack by now if Michele hadn't been there to always say "its ok, we can work with this". Michele really listens, has an endless list of vendors and is a veteran at handling all the bumps you may encounter planning a wedding. Especially the heightened emotions that come out in planning any wedding. Even a COVID wedding.
Michelle and staff are AMAZING. She literally brought my wedding to life with zero stress! It’s natural instinct for her to make a wedding perfect. I wouldn’t change anything about it. She made it completely flawless! I would highly recommend!!!
I hired Michele as a month of coordinator about a year out from my wedding. She was involved in the process starting then - which is not something I expected when just hiring a month of. She even attended our tasting with us. Michele made sure the month of that everything was taken care of, and that all emails came to her to lower any of my stress. You definitely feel/know she has your back. Michele and Carlye handled everything behind the scenes on the day of the wedding seamlessly. They even walked my dog for me towards the end of the evening :)! I can't recommend them enough!
Michele and Debby helped us with a wedding at our home in Bethesda. This involved incredible logistical and space planning expertise, well beyond what we understood would be necessary to pull this off -- all the way from hiring a golf cart and valet to park on a narrow, dead end street, and a two level clear ceiling tent to cover our deck and getting a beautiful tipi built to serve as a chuppah in the yard. The wedding was simply beautiful. The flowers were gorgeous, the atmosphere intimate and elegant. There were so many details they accounted for and an exhausting amount of support during the wedding. Michele and Debby went way above and beyond the engagement, which was just for the month before the wedding. They are the best!!
I am an event planner and find it HARD to give up control, but I had full trust in Michele to hand off everything on the day of my wedding and be able to enjoy myself. It was great to have an option for month out / day of, rather than the full package. Michele went out of her way to make sure I was happy with every detail and helped me work through all my questions and logistical stress
Michele and Debby were fantastic! They saved the day on MULTIPLE occasions - we came to the realization rather late that we needed a wedding planner so they had their hands full pulling everything together in time; then, we changed things up kind of drastically by increasing the guest list by almost 50% at close to the last minute. But they pulled everything together beautifully. In particular I appreciated how they took the time to understand our vision for our somewhat unconventional wedding. Michele's ability to just "get" the look and feel we were going for was remarkable - every design or procedural option she sent us or suggested to us was right in line with what we had in our heads. And Debby really kept us organized and was very nice and gentle with her reminders when we needed to be responsive or get something done! I could not have been happier with the way the event turned out, and I know that both of them, and others on the team, worked really hard, especially on the day of the event, to make it happen. Highly highly recommend!
Finding a wedding planner was important to my mom and something she took on--and she made a great choice in hiring Michele! We chose Michele's 30 day coordinator option as we had done some of the planning already. Michele went so far above and beyond those 30 days, attending meetings in the months leading up to her taking over and answering (lots of) emails and phone calls from my mom. She did a great job making sure both of us felt heard and really helped us make better decisions than we would have on our own. Our wedding looked beautiful and we didn't have any worries the day of.
Michele and Carlye were exactly what my mom and I needed leading up to my wedding and more importantly, on my wedding day! My mom and I hired Michele a little over a year before my wedding this past November 10th. Michele helped my vision become a reality - she came with us to meet with our florist many times (for reference we had 14 different flower proposals), did a walkthrough at the hotel where we were getting married at with the wedding coordinator there, and was "on call" for any questions or concerns that I had throughout the process. On the day of, Michele helped run the show. We were behind schedule during the reception and Michele was able to ensure that we caught up by changing a few time slots around. In addition, Michele coordinated all vendor meals, vendor show up times, and car/bus coordination for the day of. Three weeks before my wedding, Michele texted me to "relax and enjoy myself" and I was able to do just that knowing that I was in good hands with Michele and Carlye! I can not thank them enough for all their hard work!
I hired Event Planning DC after realizing that even though I was having a micro wedding I could not handle all the details myself. I am the type of person who prefers to do everything myself to make sure it is done correctly. It is a struggle to pass the baton to anyone else lol. That being said, I reached out to several planners and Michelle was the only one who I felt understood and respected what I wanted my day to look like and the vibe that I was hoping for. We met several times prior to the wedding and were in constant communication. Her and her assistant Caryle were amazing to work with, always responsive, and professional. I am sometimes sad that I am not planning another event with them. Hire them Event Planning DC you will not regret it!
We had a wonderful experience working with Event Planning DC for our wedding. Our special day could not have gone better (really!) and Michele and her team played a huge role in making it a success. We loved how throughout the process, Michele listened to what we wanted and did everything she could to make sure our wedding was true to us, while providing really helpful insights and guidance.
Michele served as our month-of coordinator, and we are SO glad that we had her leading up to the wedding. From a logistical standpoint, Michele provided incredibly helpful guidance a number of decisions (from day-of timeline and vendor drop-offs to escort cards and the final food counts, and more), and took the lead on coordinating with each of our vendors to ensure all went smoothly day-of. Knowing we could depend on Michele and Carly for all these details provided such peace of mind.
Beyond that, Michele helped us to create a vision for our wedding that was beautiful and true to what we wanted – romantic, warm and elegant - tying together linens, flowers and lighting details to create a breathtaking space. She brought us ideas for décor that complimented our flowers while staying in budget. When we walked in the room on the day of our wedding, we were so delighted to see it all come together, from what we had planned together to Michele’s gorgeous touches! Just WOW!

We hired Michele to be our day-of coordinator about 1 month before the wedding and she was fabulous. We have been married for a year, so when it came to planning a wedding party, we needed help. She showed up to as many meetings as possible, gave us options on everything, and was able to work with such a laid-back person like myself. She was responsive, warm, and absolutely fun to work with!

Michele and Debby with Event Planning DC were so wonderful to work with for so many reasons. First and foremost, they were so friendly and accommodating. We started working with them a year before our wedding so we spent lots of time together :) They were always willing to meet with us whenever we felt we needed to catch up or when we had questions about what to do next. They kept us on track with all the planning responsibilities with their very detailed checklist and a shared Google drive that made things easy to share and access. They were very responsive, always getting back to us in a timely manner, and we so helpful with contacting vendors or liaising between us and vendors. Our wedding day was absolutely magical! Perfect in every way. If anything changed or went wrong, we were not aware. They made our big day SO special and memorable... Michele even played the drums with our band during "Brick House" for us! Loved Event Planning DC and would highly recommend them!
Michele and Kristina were more than we could've asked for. They helped plan, coordinate, and deliver beyond our expectations. My stress levels were very low as they were always responsive before the wedding day and they were on top of every minute the day of. Michele guided our wedding party and vendors with ease and worked hard, yet effortlessly allowing me to feel at ease. Kristina was also on top of every moment and went as far as bustling my dress and helping me specifically with things I, myself , wasn't even prepared for. Event Planning DC totally helped me create my dream wedding! These ladies are organized, knowledgeable, creative, and SO friendly! We feel very lucky that we were referred to Event Planning DC by our florist! From the very beginning, Event Planning DC was responsive and SO easy to work with. We used the month-of coordination, which really was a life saver when it came to actually enjoying our wedding day/evening. Really, it was more than "month of," because Michele caught a potential issue even before the one month countdown, which we wouldn't have even been aware of! Michele and Debby met us at the walk-through at our wedding venue with our caterer about 2 weeks before the wedding and when we left we knew that all our small details and wishes would be taken care of perfectly. Michele and Debby coordinated with all of our vendors, sent helpful reminders re: final payment due dates, and helped us to feel like many loose ends were tied up by the time wedding weekend rolled around. We hadn't quite planned for a very RAINY wedding weekend -- but that is what we got! Debby coordinated our rehearsal and was very understanding of our wishes to hold out as long as possible before heading to our plan B. We did end up needing to use it, but it was pulled off so seamlessly -- I (the bride) had virtually nothing to do with notifying anyone of the change in plans. Debby (and Kristina) assisted to coordinate our wedding day and worked LONG hours to ensure that each detail was carried out exactly as it looked in our heads. AND Debby magically had EMERGENCY DEODORANT! Which was huge! We are so grateful for Event Planning DC and could not recommend them more highly for any wedding (or event, for that matter!)!
Michele, Debby and their team were the month of coordinators for my son and daughter-in-law's recent wedding. It was so reassuring to know that one of them was only a phone call, text message or email away. All of our questions and concerns were answered promptly and professionally. I worked closely with Debby to secure transportation for our guests at the end of the evening back to the hotel. Since the venue and hotel were only three city blocks away we originally were not going to provide transportation to the venue earlier in the day. Then midweek the weather forecast changed and rain was forecasted for the day of the wedding. I sent an email to Debby with my concerns and she quickly contacted the transportation company, confirmed a vehicle would be available should we want it and gave me until the morning of the wedding to make a decision. Michele and her team took care of so many other details. These included creating a timeline, going on a site visit, securing rentals for the reception, contacting the vendors just before the wedding, printing the escort cards and creating a beautiful display of the cards on the escort table. At the end of the evening when we were all exhausted Michele and her intern Carly took care of all of the wedding gifts and even delivered them to my son and daughter-in-law the next day! The services Michele and her team provided were invaluable! They helped to make it a memorable and beautiful wedding day!
"I couldn't recommend anyone better than Event Planning DC for all events. Michele and Laura helped make our dream a reality on our wedding day. They made planning a breeze and stress free, and exceeded our expectations when our day finally came! I honestly believe that I couldn't have had such a fairytale wedding if it wasn't for them. From the very beginning my vision was understood (Michele "got me") and I felt so comfortable. They set up everything the day before, the day of and then made sure our event ran smoothly! I would also like to mention that our venue was supposed to supply lighting around the "poles" in the barn, but the day before our day we were informed that they didn't have them. Michele drove around everywhere in Southern Maryland (there is not much around) and found the exact amount of lights that we needed at 4 different stores! This just shows how dedicated she and her team are, and also how much they wanted our day to be just as special as we did. Michele and Laura also made sure our reception decor was a surprise for my husband and I, by not letting us see our reception venue (a beautiful barn) before we entered during intros. I wanted to cry when I saw it because of how beautiful it was! We owe so much thanks to Event Planning DC for everything they have done for us. I will surely be recommending them every chance I get, and hopefully we will have the joy of working with them again for other events to come!"
Michele & Crew were a blessing and so easy to work with. They start a month out from your date and take the reins of coordinating (re: rental delivery, cake delivery, venue, florist). She basically becomes your assistant so you can focus on the little things because it's always the littlest things that are the hardest to get through. Michele was so helpful when it came to suggestions and ideas if I was stuck between a decision or lost inspiration leading up to my big day. Her knowledge and connections are vast and even in a pinch she keeps it calm and helps solve the problem (my food truck pulled out on me weeks before the wedding and Michele got me setup with a caterer in no time). Michele and her team were present at the rehearsal and stayed after to tend to furniture placements and decorations too. On the day-of, she kept everyone to the set schedule yet staying behind the scenes as to not distract. I honestly do not know how I could've planned and executed my wedding without her and her team. I cannot stress enough how important and lifesaving it is to have a day-of wedding planner!!! This was by far the best money spent and the best ROI I received. Michele is truly a rockstar and a saving grace. You will not regret having her by your side on one of the most important days of your life!
I had the pleasure of working with Michele and her company for my October 2016 (when they were still known as We Plan - You Party).
