We couldn't have asked for a better experience than what we had with Event Shoppe Chicago. From our first meeting to the last dance, they were incredibly thoughtful and caring, truly making our wedding day unforgettable.
One of the standout qualities was their ability to keep everything running smoothly and on time. Every detail was perfectly orchestrated, allowing us to enjoy the day without a single worry. Jennifer Price & Victoria Latimer are truly the fairy godmother team that made our wedding "the happily ever after" to our story. From the moment we began our planning journey, Jennifer understood the vision and brought it to life. She is truly magic!
Her planning process is very clear and helpful, and she communicates quickly and thoroughly so that I never felt behind. She brough such a professional and experienced perspective and I knew that her team was able to consider and plan for every possible scenario. She was well appreciated by all of our vendors and she coordinated everyone spectacularly.
Beyond just making the vision come to life, Jennifer and Victoria ensured that the vibe and the mood of the wedding party was calm and happy. When things went awry, my bridal party never knew and never felt it because Jennifer and Victoria were so on top of fixing any issues. They managed all of the various personalities spectacularly, and particularly protected my peace as a bride. They ran interference on my behalf so that I could be calm going into the ceremony.
Victoria made sure that we were able to enjoy the reception to its fullest and still exit gracefully. Not an item was missed when corralling everyone out the door, and we completely owe that to her!
I was truly sad when our wedding weekend was over because I enjoyed every second of it. It really was an event beyond anything I could've envisioned for myself, and I owe everything to Jennifer, Victoria, and the Event Shoppe Team. They are the best in Chicago! Thank you for everything.
I am obsessed with the Event Shoppe and our wedding planner, Victoria. I truly don't know what I would have done with out her by my side every step of the wedding planning journey. Victoria was smart, organized, thorough, made amazing recommendations, and was the steady hand every bride needs on their big day. If you are thinking about whether or not you need a planner, just do it. The amount of stress it takes off your plate is worth every dollar. If you don't know who to hire, hire the Event Shoppe.
We were so happy that we found Event Shoppe Chicago! From the start, the experience was so professional, warm, and seamless. We connected with Jennifer over the phone for an introductory call and immediately knew we wanted to work with her team. We had the pleasure of working with the AMAZING Victoria. We were not local in Chicago and Victoria did an excellent job of balancing our planning from a distance. Victoria was always responsive, joyful, prepared (she remembered everything we didn't and was an attentive listener to ensure she was meeting our needs), and brought her expertise to every interaction. The day was a dream come true. Everything was absolutely perfect. We would do it all over again working with Victoria and Event Shoppe!

We chose Event Shoppe Chicago because Jennifer made me feel at ease. We consulted with a few planners, and unlike my other meetings, Jennifer seemed genuinely excited for us and our wedding - it wasn't just a business transaction. She also helped us craft a package to fit our needs since we were having a very small wedding.
We worked with Victoria as our day-of coordinator for our wedding at Adler Planetarium. She was attentive to detail, easily reachable, and an all-around amazing individual.
I'm type-A and normally can't resist the urge to micromanage, but Victoria had everything covered, so all I had to do was enjoy the day! Victoria attended our venue meetings, coordinated with vendors in the weeks leading up to the wedding, and made sure everything operated as planned on the day of. She sent us so many helpful planning tools and questionnaires throughout the process.

If you are interested in hiring a wedding coordinator and wondering if it’s worth it, look no further than Event Shoppe Chicago. Victoria was our day-of coordinator (a service which actually kicked in about a month prior to our wedding), and she was calm, organized, and knew what to do in seemingly every situation. We had a somewhat complicated vendor setup, with three forms of entertainment (violinist, DJ, and a live singer) and about 15 vendors in total. Victoria did almost all of the coordination with them in the weeks leading up to the wedding and gave each a personalized timeline. She even dealt with an unresponsive vendor who wasn’t calling or emailing us back. On the day of the wedding, Victoria was punctual and made sure everyone stayed the course with our plan. Because of this our wedding was exactly how we had pictured it to be, and I don’t think that would have been the case without her. Looking back, I don’t think I would have been able to put everything together with my work and travel schedule and I will forever be grateful to Victoria for making our wedding day the best day of our lives. We booked Event Shoppe with quite a lot of skepticism as we know many people who have been married recently and none of them were satisfied with their wedding coordinator. For us, it turned out to be one of the best decisions we made. Thank you Victoria and Event Shoppe!
I can't say enough good things about Event Shoppe Chicago. Hiring them was the best money we spent on our daughter's wedding. Moms of the bride, get a month of/day of planner. Breyonia kept my daughter on track with deadlines, and I avoided the conflict and anxiety of coaxing my daughter to get things done. The day of the wedding all I had to do was wake up, get my hair and makeup done, get dressed and focus on my daughter. Bre took care of everything else. It was so calming knowing everything was taken care of for me. After the wedding the support didn't end. We had an issue with the caterer, and Jennifer Price, the CEO, personally called me to help me navigate the situation. Because of her we were able to get compensated from the cater. I highly recommend Event Shoppe Chicago. I tell every bride mom I know to hire them. You should as well!
Working with Kevlyn was a dream come true. We had partial planning with Event Shoppe Chicago and they made everything so easy - from our very first call with Jennifer (who we fell in love with) to walking out of the venue on our wedding night. I can't recommend ESC enough, I don't know how anyone would have their wedding without at least day of help from ESC. Kevlyn kept us on our timeline, fixed issues before I even knew they were happening, and kept our our vendors organized.

Selecting Event Shoppe Chicago and having Lekia Rice as our wedding planner was everything. The services she brought every step of the way was complimentary to who she is as a person. Her communication was top tier and always prompt. She made sure every vendor knew the details of our wedding, communicate with all whenever there was a change. Her attention to our wedding details made us know she had everything in check respectfully, and that we can still have a life while also planning a wedding. Her suggestions for our wedding ideas due to her expertise was similar to our own as this boosted our confidence with her leading the charge.
Lekia professionalism is what you would ask for in any person in general and as our wedding planner, she made sure to example this daily and every time we had to meet via zoom or in person. Her overall quality of service that she provided for the year leading up to our wedding and the day of, is definitely a 10/10. She more than answered the call of all our ideas to bring them to life. I officiated a wedding in Chicago last weekend and had the privilege of working Lekia for both the evening rehearsal and the wedding day. Despite multiple changes made at the last minute, plus additional unexpected challenges, Lekia maintained her positive, calm, professional manner regardless. I truly enjoyed meeting her and hope we have an opportunity to work together again.

My wife and I hired Event Shoppe Chicago to assist in coordinating our wedding and we were beyond impressed. Firstly they were incredibly responsive. When we needed information our wedding coordinator would email us back immediately. They assisted us with all big decisions and provided us with several options with vendors. We never felt pressured to pick a vendor they brought to our attention and genuinely felt they had our best interest every step of the way. We switched venues halfway through our wedding and Event Shoppe Chicago guided us through the entire process. Then day of there were 3 coordinators that made the entire process perfect. Many of our guest said our wedding was the best wedding they’ve ever been too. Somehow Event Shoppe was able to incorporate all of our needs perfectly and I couldn’t be more grateful. You would be crazy not to choose Event Shoppe Chicago.
We hired the Event Shoppe from a recommendation from a friend. After meeting with a few planners, we chose Event Shoppe because Jennifer was so excited about our upcoming wedding and came with such enthusiasm for her job. We then Margaret, a Senior Event Planner. Margaret is an absolute rockstar at her job. In the beginning, we were provided a comprehensive user-friendly google drive with every possible planning document needed to make a wedding happen. We needed assistance in generating a budget an was able to build that in as well. Margaret came into every meeting with such positivity and happiness. She was so amazing to work with. Our wedding would not have happened without Event Shoppe and Margaret. Whether it was reminding us of last-minute details, generating an amazing timeline, handling a large wedding party, or making sure we stayed on track with the day, Margaret did it all with such positivity. We hope each couple is lucky enough to have such an amazing experience a we did.
We just got back from our minimoon and at the top of our list was to leave a review for Jen Price and her team to show our appreciation and gratitude for what an awesome job they did.
We found Jen through a girl friend who recommended Event Shoppe after using them for their own wedding. We worked with Jen Price with partial planning and coordination and she helped us through vendor selection, coordination, and execution. We spoke with her once a month for the 10 months leading up to the wedding to almost weekly 3 months leading up to the wedding. She was a valuable resource for advice, vendors intros, and organization. She provides a website that is packed with helpful planning tips / google sheets that proved to be invaluable.
On the day of our wedding, our rockstar team of Jen, Victoria and Meghann executed flawlessly and made all the events flow smoothly. Despite the rain/snow, changing photo locations, a missing wedding band, forgetting the veil while we were ready to process into the ceremony, her team (literally) raced around to make it all happen and I will be forever grateful to them! Finally, Jen (and her team) exudes energy and warmth and was a steadying hand in all these situations (even when we discovered the wedding band was missing…). I would wholeheartedly recommend this team. Thanks Jen, Victoria and Meghann for all the hard work that was put in.
Don’t second guess book now! A personal experience from start to finish. Event Shoppe Chi went above and beyond five stars. From engagement to walking down the aisle. We booked for a 2021 wedding and needed to change the date. Jennifer worked hard to make sure every booked vendor was up to date on our changes within hours not days! No vendor was left behind for our 2022 wedding a year later. There was never any attitude it always felt warm, genuine, and professional. Whenever we needed anything Jennifer was a call or text away always ready to clarify our confusion. I would recommend having a day of planner as well. I couldn’t have done it without Jennifer. When you have unruly vendors who don’t show or show up late she’ll get them right in order. When you have family members who will not stay away from your room she’ll reroute them for you as well. Ultimately the experience felt like planning a wedding with your mom or a family member, but without the stress of dealing with your mom or family member!
Lekia was a godsend for us. We knew we needed help, but we were having trouble on putting our finger on what exactly we needed help with. She came in with less than a month's notice and was able to step in and take charge of so many wedding logistics (things we knew we needed help with, and more importantly things we didn't even know we needed help with). She created a comprehensive timeline for the day-of, was vigilant in handling most, if not all of the communication with all our vendors, and was an amazing support on the actual day of the wedding. She was with us from the beginning of the day, making sure we had everything we needed, helping manage and bring personal items to the venue, and just being someone we can check in with to make sure everything was okay. On such a chaotic day, it's very reassuring to have someone other than your partner there who knows exactly what is supposed to be going on. Lekia is a professional with great character and a fun sense of humor that helped make our special day what it was. We were honestly a little hesitant on getting a coordinator at first, but we regret absolutely nothing due to her service.

I truly do not understand how someone can coordinate a wedding without a planner. If that is you, go figure. It is CERTAINLY not me.
Originally, I thought I could do it. I had a general idea of the vendors I wanted to use for our wedding, and reached out accordingly. But about 6 months out—as I started to get into the thick of the details, vendor coordination and timelines—I realized I had unfortunately girlbossed too close to the sun.
On a whim, I reached out to a high school friend who’d recently had a beautiful wedding to ask if he’d used a planner…to which he replied with a LONG paragraph singing the praises of Event Shoppe Chicago.
This is how we started to work with Event Shoppe’s Lead Wedding Planner Kevlyn Hayes. When I tell you Kevlyn single-handedly lowered both myself and my husband’s blood-pressure, I’m not being dramatic. Kevlyn is detail-oriented, direct, honest, and—above all—incredibly kind.
She kept us on track from our first conversation and answered every last question & anxiety we had. When we were sick of making decisions, she knew how to come in with opinions based on years of experience.
When I say she handled everything…I mean literally EVERYTHING. Timelines. Vendor coordination of said timelines. Setup and takedown of our details. Last minute, inevitable emergencies (which she handled before we had the time to panic about them).
I know that the reason we were able to relax and enjoy our wedding is entirely due to Kevlyn and the entire Event Shoppe team. Weddings are amazing, but they are a LOT. This was without a doubt the best investment we made, full stop.
Jennifer was so great! We received so many compliments from family on how smooth things ran day of. When I had a question, Jennifer had an answer and options, this was so helpful to someone who has never done anything like this before. My husband and I had a phenomenal time working with Monica from Event Shoppe. Not only was she professional and organized, it was clear from day one that she was personally invested in making our wedding day a success and everything we had hoped for. She helped us work through elements of our day that we needed an added creative touch, and we felt completely confident that everything would go off without a hitch- and it truly did! Even our family and friends commented on how well the Event Shoppe team kept things running smoothly and how lovely they were to interact with. We cannot imagine going into our big day without the support provided by Monica, Jennifer and team and recommend them to any of our newly-engaged friends.
I was paired with Monica who was amazing! Before my wedding, she shared forms with me to fill out so that she began to get to know me and my wedding vision. She created a special website for us where we could access all of the important documents and it also included our message center, helpful tips, planning checklist, and so much more! Before the wedding, Monica read through all of my contracts, contacted vendors, created a timeline, came to my final walk-through, and met with me via phone call or zoom anytime I felt overwhlemed or wanted to make sure everything was set for our big day. Leading up to the big day, I knew everything would be perfect because of how organized and detailed Monica was in creating our timeline and taking the time to understand my vision. I also had other vendors express how easy the timeline was, saying they often receive 10 page timelines from planners, but the one they received from Monica had tabs with information only pertaining to them, so it was a lot easier for them to follow. My wedding party and parents also received a condensed version of the timeline to help make sure that everyone knew what was going on. Monica told me to CC her on any emails with other vendors, and chimed in when she could to offer suggestions or help. Toward the end, Monica had taken over all communication with vendors to make sure they had all the information they needed. On our actual wedding day, Monica was there to meet us at the hotel where we got ready and make sure everything was going well- that hair and makeup were on schedule, that photogoraphy/video was there, helped in receiving our florals, made sure we were on time, and even took some things to the venue for me that were a last minute gift. She headed to our venue and made sure that all of the vendors were there and set up was going as planned. Like I said, she took the time to really understand my vision, and really helped to make that vision a reality in setting up personal items, signage, etc.. During the ceremony, she made sure that we were lined up in order, told us when to walk, and made sure other vendors were there in case we needed help with things like mic/sound. We all know it takes what feels like forever to get professional pictures back, but Monica snuck the most perfect picture of our ceremony outside the Adler at golden hour and sent it to me the next day. She went above and beyond in making sure everything was perfect. She made sure we stuck to the timeline, got our reception reveal in, passed out vendor tip envelopes, and made sure everyone was dancing the night away when she left (she even came to say bye to me on the dance floor :) ). We had her assistant, Brittany, with us until the end to make sure that vendors cleaned up on time, got everything out, packed up our personal items, and make sure transportation was there at the end of the night. I can't express enough how smoothly our day went because of the team we had from Event Shoppe. Like I said, Monica went above and beyond, and even texted me the next day to check in and send along a beautiful picture she captured, emailed me with well wishes and truly just made my day magical! I would recomend everyone planning a wedding to get a planner/coordinator, there is so much more that goes in to it than you realize and Event Shoppe Chicago did an amazing job in helping me thorughout the process- before, during, and after my wedding! I highly, highly highly recommend, Monica was amazing!

We met with Jennifer when we were five months out from our wedding. Right off the bat, she made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Given where we were in the planning process, she recommended the coordination package and we appreciated that she didn’t try to upsell us with services we didn’t need.
We were assigned Monica two months out from the wedding. Before meeting, we filled out a few forms/questionnaires so she could get a better idea about where we were in planning. Monica came to our first meeting so prepared. It was clear she read through all the forms and documents we filled out and even had an initial timeline ready for us.
We really cannot say enough good things about Monica. She went above and beyond in every way. When she says she is going to take care of something or reach out to a vendor, we never had to worry if an email would be sent or a task would get done.
Some things that we really appreciated from Monica:
1. Thorough final venue walkthrough. Made sure our DJ was there as well and talked through the floor plan
2. Managed the rehearsal walkthrough. She was immensely helpful in last minute layout changes and making sure everyone in the wedding party knew timing for things
3. Picked up all our decor and miscellaneous items from our home two days before the wedding so we would not have to worry about transporting things ourselves
4. Contacted vendors on our behalf so we did not have to make calls/emails ourselves. For example, we had to move up our transportation 15 minutes and before we could even tell Monica, she already reached out to the vendor to make it happen
The list goes on and on. Our big day would not have been a success without Monica and her associate Lekia. We can’t recommend them enough!
Event Shoppe Chicago and our wedding planner Kevlyn were so incredibly helpful to us as we were planning the wedding of our dreams. Kevlyn was attentive to our wishes and gently pushed us when she felt an alternate idea or route would be more beneficial to setting up our ideal way, and she was usually right! Kevlyn was so helpful the day of the wedding and was quickly attentive to any situations that came up. I strongly recommend Event Shoppe Chicago and Kevlyn to anyone who is planning a wedding, whether it is a small or large gathering.
Jennifer Price and her team @ The Event Shoppe Chicago, did an AMAZING JOB coordinating our wedding from beginning to end! My husband and I had a vision and The Event Shoppe brought it to life! We hired Event Shoppe Chicago for wedding planning services for the wedding we had at the Goose Island Barrel House 10/15/22 and it was the best decision we made for our wedding! I am a planner(project manager by trade), but needed help with the month of/day of wedding planning. Our goal for our wedding was to make sure our family members, friends, and loved ones could truly enjoy our wedding and not feel like they had to work or manage it. Margaret at Event Shoppe Chicago made that goal a reality and ensured the whole day went off without a hitch! She went above and beyond the month of the wedding - coordinating all of our vendors, putting together the timeline for the weekend, doing a final walkthrough with our venue/caterer, helping set up the day before the wedding/taking down the night of and the Monday after, being with us for the rehearsal, being with me on the wedding day to make sure we stayed on track and that things went exactly as I had envisioned, taking care of any hiccups that happened the day of our wedding(tons of stuff happened, but my husband and I were none the wiser on the day of our wedding). Margaret also had an assistant that day, Sergei, and he was just as lovely as she was - cannot thank them enough for what they did for us the day of our wedding. We truly felt like we were able to soak in every moment of our wedding and I know that wouldn't have been possible without all of their help. If you're thinking of hiring Event Shoppe Chicago, stop and just do it, not just for your sanity, but to make your dream wedding come true.
Hiring Event Shoppe Chicago was one of the best choices we made while wedding planning - and that's saying a lot! We worked with Jennifer, who was incredible every step of the way. Ahead of the wedding, Jennifer made great vendor recommendations, helped us feel confident in our design direction, and kept my husband and I on-track with planning tasks. We had a major disruption midway through planning when our intended venue unexpectedly closed. Jennifer was a big help in finding a new reception venue with less than 3 months til our planned date. She is certainly the person you want on your side when a crisis hits! In the weeks leading up to our wedding, Jennifer was an absolute godsend. She was sending TONS of emails to coordinate vendors, creating detailed, bespoke timelines for vendors/family/my husband and I, and facilitating set up of gift bags and decor. There are so many small details that go into making a wedding great, and without Jennifer, I don't think we could have ever planned for all of them. I cannot recommend her and her team at Event Shoppe Chicago enough.
We are so relieved that we hired Event Shoppe to help with our wedding. Margaret was out coordinator and we went with the Premium Coordination Plan. Since we were picking up on planning that stalled for two years due to Covid restrictions. With that kind of gap, restarting the process was daunting, but Margaret made us feel at ease from start to finish. She helped with all of the scheduling and day of logistics and helped put out so many small fires along the way. My now husband and I had a few meetings as our wedding day approached where she would help up organize our next steps and answer any questions we had. Some of our vendors were proving difficult to contact and Margaret chased them down for us, going so far as to even set up three way calls so that we felt much more at ease. During the rehearsal Margaret made sure we knew what to expect on the wedding day and communicated very well with our family and friends. On our wedding day things went off without a hitch and she made sure we had some time to ourselves and that we actually got to enjoy the food we selected from our caterer. I don't know how we could have done this without her.
Hiring Event Shoppe Chicago was the absolutely best decision we could have made for our wedding, and we cannot recommend them enough! Planning a wedding in Chicago is... a lot!! Throw in all of the unknowns that come with planning a wedding during the pandemic, and you have a recipe for being incredibly overwhelmed. However, Jennifer and Margaret were incredibly kind, generous, communicative, organized, and helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process. They truly want you to have a wonderful wedding experience, and will go above and beyond to make sure you feel overwhelmed as little as possible.
We went with the Final Details package (which was ESC's day-of-coordination package), but Jennifer and Margaret helped with so much more than the final details. Early on in the planning process, Jennifer helped us think through exactly what we wanted for our wedding, set us up on the ESC planning portal with a variety of tools for the planning process, and then recommended a plethora of vendors that were in/near our budget (who were also great to work with). Once we did reach the final details phase (in the 6-8 weeks before the wedding), Margaret helped us through the barrage of decisions that we needed to make and helped us make sure everything was as organized as possible. And then she made sure everything was perfect on our big day! If anything did go wrong, we still have no idea (and are happier for it ;D). Thank you both for everything!

We were introduced to Monica midway through our planning process due to a last minute change, and she stepped in and hit the ground running right away. She started working with us 2 months out and was so helpful in helping give vendor recommendations, coordinating with all our vendors so they were all organized and on the same page, and also creating a detailed day of timeline which allowed the day to be peaceful and run so smoothly. We had a stressful last minute issue with our venue which she stepped in and really helped take the stress off of us which was huge. On the day of she helped with set up of our decor, made sure we were following the timeline and answered everyone's questions so I didn't have to. We wouldn't have been able to do it without Monica. Right from the get-go, we knew we were in good hands with Jen and the Event Shoppe team. We hired ESC for help with day-of coordination, and dang, did they knock it out of the park!! From first meeting and having fun "ice breakers" to get to know each other, to thorough checklists, timeline calls, and helpful notes, we felt like we were being taken care of every step of the way up until the wedding day.
Even though we had planned a lot on our own and didn't hire ESC until later in the process, we feel so thankful that we did. Even the most organized will have their hands full with end-of-the-line wedding planning, and being able to hand off all of our vendors and communication over to the Event Shoppe team was truly amazing.
And the day of the wedding itself? Couldn't have asked for a more smooth, magical, and easy day. Major shout-out to all of the assistants helping our main coordinator--you all rocked! We had a lot of logistics and moving parts going between two different venues, and the ESC team handled it all like pros, and even had our favorite cocktails waiting for us at our reception table after we entered.

Choosing Event Shoppe Chicago (ESC) and lead planner Jennifer for our April 2022 wedding was the BEST decision we could have made. We went with their full service package, which provided planning services from the start of the planning process to day of coordination. We HIGHLY recommend booking their full service package. There are so many considerations when planning and executing a wedding. ESC guided us through every decision and it resulted in a wedding that was beyond our greatest expectations. Jennifer met with us in beginning to understand and craft our wedding vision, as well as breakdown all things to consider when deciding and allocating your wedding budget. From there, everything went seamlessly. Jennifer streamlined the venue selection process by curating a list of venues that matched our vision and budget, as well as coordinated and attended all venue visits. From there, she provided at least 3 recommendations for each type of vendor (i.e. Florist, Photography, DJ, etc.). We did not need to look beyond any of the initial recommendations she made, as each vendor recommended provided exceptional services. Jennifer also coordinated and setup meetings with our vendors throughout the entire planning process to ensure everything stayed on tracked and no detail would be missed. We knew we made the right decision selecting ESC very early in the planning process, as each vendor could not stress enough how much they loved working with Jennifer and her team. Besides putting together the dream vendor team, the assistance with budget allocation and guidance in determining our priorities was truly invaluable. We genuinely believe choosing the full service package saved us a lot money, and certainly a ton of hours and stress, in the end. Now having seen the full process, we realized we would have underestimated the costs of many of the smaller things you have to consider later on (i.e. tips, transportation, uplighting, etc.). We would have spent too much early on and ended up way over budget or deciding to go without some things that were important in making our wedding so special. As a bride, I walked into my wedding day completely relaxed and stress free because I knew Jennifer was on top of everything and would resolve any issues that may arise. And that’s exactly what she did. My husband and I were able to fully enjoy our wedding without worrying about directing guests, cueing the DJ, and making sure things are running on time because Jennifer handled EVERYTHING. The guests at our wedding could not rave enough about how beautiful, elegant, fun, and organized our wedding was. Many of our guest say it was hands down the best wedding they have ever been to. We can’t say enough great things about working with Jennifer for our wedding! I’m a detail-oriented, somewhat micro-managing bride with a ton of friends already married (aka lots of advice) and a team of sisters ready to help. He is a thoughtful and involved groom with an event planning mom and lots of unique opinions. Despite all of that, we decided to use a planner because there were so many items to manage, a bit of refereeing required, and we wanted us and our guests to be able to focus on enjoying the moment and not have to execute all the important details when we got to the big day – BEST DECISION EVER.
Jennifer was wonderful to work with throughout the process. Of course, she killed it on the day of. We didn’t even realize until a month afterwards that several of our guests re-arranged their own seats, the whole program was over an hour behind schedule, and we had a few crashers show up! But it was working with her through the whole planning period that was truly above and beyond our expectations, removing tons of stress and anxiety from the lead-up to our wedding day.
One thing I can promise about planning any event – things will happen that you can’t anticipate. When we started our monthly check-in calls with Jennifer, she suggested going over the full detailed timeline beginning a whole year before our wedding. We smiled and rolled our eyes a little bit, joking about how perhaps she was a bit over-zealous but we were going to get it all done- no problem. Joke was on us!
Despite all our best research and communication with the various vendors, when we got to the month & week before there were several items that didn’t play out according to plan. These ran small and large, from not having the correct number of boutonnieres, to deciding last minute that everyone needed to covid test on-site, to our lead venue contact switching three times- the last one being the weekend before our event! But Jennifer had been with us every step of the way as we’d made all these decisions, and she quickly and easily adapted for the changes in stride, without stressing one bit or compromising any of our standards, which she understood very well.
Jennifer and her team truly went above and beyond. She is a breath of excitement in every meeting, has a wonderful network of talented vendors she can recommend, and is highly attentive & respectful to all of the little specific things that may not matter in general but matter to you. ESC was the perfect partner for our October 2021 wedding! We were engaged in 2019 and never saw COVID-19 coming, let alone all the uncertainties that came with planning a wedding in a global pandemic. Jennifer and her team were steady, understanding, and enthusiastic through it all including two date changes, a venue change, and our spontaneous decision to elope. Two years later, our celebration was still everything we dreamed about and more. Working with Margaret was our key to success. She was a rockstar - helping us develop a realistic timeline, conduct a smooth rehearsal, and get us (and our 11 bridesmaids/groomsmen) to the altar. Where do I even begin? In the initial stages of wedding planning, a day-of wedding coordinator might seem like a luxury and not a necessity. I can now say that hiring Jennifer and The Event Shoppe for our day of coordination was one of the best decisions we made! Jennifer is outstanding. She has the perfect personality that you want with you in the weeks leading up to and on the day of your wedding. Prior to our wedding, Jennifer provided us excellent advice, helped us stay on track with the last minute details the month before, gave references to certain vendors we were looking for (a modern photo booth that we LOVED), helped us finalize a day-of timeline, advocated for us to our other vendors on the big picture and small details we wanted, and coordinated with all of our vendors in the final weeks to make sure everyone was ready and on the same page as far as arrival times/set up/etc. The day of the wedding, Jennifer was the point of contact for every vendor that we had, she was in charge of keeping the entire bridal party on track with our timeline, she answered questions that guests had, she set up all of our day-of items such as the place card table/gift table/guest gifts at reception tables/etc., and any problems that arose during the day were taken care of by her without having to bring it to our attention - a major relief. Additionally, we had Margaret as an assistant planner the day-of and she was also fantastic. She helped with set up and managing the reception until the end of the night, gathered all the items we brought and made sure they were put into our hotel room at the end of the night, and she even helped with bustling my dress when it began to fall apart. Your wedding day can be very costly so you might feel on the fence about adding another expense to the big day. I promise that hiring The Event Shoppe for wedding coordination is worth every dollar. They completely take over for you and become everyones point of contact so that your day runs smoothly without you being bothered, which will allow you to actually enjoy the day you’ve been tirelessly planning. Event Shoppe Chicago made our wedding day just perfect. We worked with Margaret, and when I say she is an angel in disguise, I mean it. We utilized their final details package, and I would recommend It to anyone that asks! We had most of our big vendors picked out before finding out we were moving across the country, 6 months before our wedding. It was then I knew that I needed someone to be my eyes and ears in Chicago. Margaret got to work right away, from answering all my silly questions, to creating a thorough day of timeline, and putting out any “fires” on the day. Alyse and the Event Shoppe team were so great to work with for our wedding! We used the day-of coordinator services, however the help begins much before the day of. Covid forced us to reschedule our wedding, which fortunately, gave me time to really dig into planning.

We really needed someone there to coordinate setup, breakdown and be a point of contact for our vendors. I was really nervous about things being organized and moving smoothly, so we didn't have to worry.

Jennifer's smile and kind eyes welcomed me as she laid out exactly what being a day of coordinator would look like.
ESC doesn't wait until 12 weeks out from the wedding day as most coordinators typically do because at that point, anything that might need attention, 12 weeks could be to late to fix any problems at that point.
Jennifer was only an email away to give her insight and advice. I did most of the heaving lifting by securing our venue and vendors, and jennifer finalized the details! She made sure that I had everything I could possibly need, even made suggestions from her detailed list of preferred vendors.
The night beforehand at the Wedding Rehearsal, she helped us understand wedding étiquette, lined us up in order of appearance andmade sure we knew our "cues" for the day of. On the day of the wedding, she arrived all smiles and love...I knew everything was going to be alright because JP had it on lock! She talked to limo driver, my photographer and the venue coordinator; All I had to do is show up. 🙂Anything my husband and wedding party needed, all we had to do was put it in her hands!

If you are still deciding to get a wedding planner or day-of coordinator, you should do it, and if you are still deciding on Event Shoppe Chicago, you should definitely do it!! We loved working with Jennifer and her team. They were exceptional in their planning and execution of our day-of details. Across the almost 12 hours of wedding day, we had 3 team members organizing all the backstage details. Tables and flowers, welcome table, decorations...everything was set up how we had asked. An example of a detail that I really appreciated: During our rehearsal, we noticed a low-hanging tree branch that would have covered the view of half of my bridesmaids. Jennifer sorted it out with the venue so that by the next day, the branch had been tied upwards. When I was planning our wedding, I chose my venue and caterer first because I thought getting the date fixed was most important, but my biggest regret is not finding and booking Event Shoppe first. There are so many considerations to planning a wedding that I'd never thought of, and I wish I'd had Jennifer and her team to from the very start of the process. We had venue issues and ultimately switched venues 2 months before the wedding, and Jennifer was AMAZING at giving us other venue options, connecting us with her contacts, and generally being a sounding board and support as we navigated kind of an icky situation.
On top of all that, Jennifer herself is kind, gracious, and a pleasure to work with. She and her team roots for you, and you notice that from the start. Thank you Event Shoppe Chicago!
Jennifer from Event Shoppe Chicago was the first wedding vendor we hired. We went with the full service package. Jennifer was extremely helpful in suggesting venues. Our wedding was postponed from March 2021 to July 2021 due to the pandemic. We had a lot of uncertain times due to the pandemic that made event planning challenging. Through the pandemic Jennifer maintained communication and professionalism. Event Shoppe Chi has a large list of preferred vendors, so we did not feel pressured to work with any one particular vendor. I had a lot of anxiety about our wedding, especially after replanning everything due to COVID. I had everything mapped out by the detail and minute and brought in Jennifer at ESC about two months out after parting ways with our previous coordinator when I felt I needed more support. You may not need someone to plan your wedding, but you at least need someone, a pro, to run things day of. You DO NOT want to be the person to do that nor do you want your family and friends to have to. It is worth every penny to hire a coordinator so you can enjoy your day. Bonus when you have a pro with the patience to handle an anxious bride like me and with relationships with amazing Chicago vendors! Not only did she make sure everything was set up and flowed seamlessly, but she also helped me to source some additional vendors in advance to bring some more detail to our space and decor. I didn’t have to manage a thing that day, and it’s a good thing, because I was too wrapped up in wedding nerves and then, finally, enjoying the wedding with our guests.
My husband and I booked Jennifer to coordinate our August 15th wedding in February of this year. We wanted to find someone who could help wrangle our large families but also someone we wanted to spend all day with at our wedding. Jennifer definitely fit the bill, immediately she was engaging, friendly and well organized.
When lockdowns started and it was clear we may not be having the wedding we planned, Jennifer immediately reached out to us. She talked us through our options and helped us decide to move our big 200 person party to a new date in 2021. Jennifer then coordinated with all of our vendors to move to the new party date.
We decided to have a micro wedding this year on our original date. Jennifer helped us figure out what we needed and set-up our day of timeline. On our wedding day she was there for us and our families the entire day. She made sure everyone (family and vendors) got where they needed to go. She foresaw and solved any issues that came up, whether it was locating a missing bouquet or discretely passing tissues up to my husband during the ceremony.
Jennifer is everything we could have asked for and more in a coordinator. We can’t wait to work with her again for our big party next year.
I appreciate that although the world was falling all around us, Jennifer was right there to make sure that our special day felt just as unique and magical as we had hoped for.
I knew once we got engaged that I would want to work with a wedding planner that truly put our thoughts, ideas as well as concerns first throughout the whole process. Jennifer was exactly that. Given the current climate we weren’t going to try and plan a large wedding but still wanted our 2020 elopement to feel intimate, classic and uniquely ours. We also wanted to consciously try and support as many local, small, women/minority owned businesses as possible in the process on top of keeping our budget on a tight leash. Jennifer was able to mesh our dreams to venues/vendors that allowed us our vision while keeping us well on track financially. She even was so gracious to find us an all-inclusive venue during covid that would make everything come together. I cannot sing her praises enough that she was willing to sacrifice some of the creative reigns to allow us to use the venue/vendors/services because she knew how it would fit our vision.
Jennifer was always very attentive and great at responding to our million and one questions. She helped us every step of the way and when the big day came, it was the smoothest day possible! I have not one complaint and would gladly refer her to others. I’m happy that she will also be working with us on our 2021 reception.
Jennifer at Event Shoppe Chicago was a wonderful day-of coordinator for our intimate rooftop wedding in Chicago. We booked Jennifer’s services before the beginning of COVID-19, and although we had to change our date and our plans more than once, she was exceptional in helping us navigate all of the local government mandates and restrictions, and in helping identify additional factors we needed to take into consideration to keep ourselves, our guests, and our vendors safe. After we finalized our date, we met up and went through our plans for the day from start to finish. Jennifer was quick to identify things that my fiancé and I hadn’t thought through, and helped us find solutions. She also identified some vendors that she had worked with in the past—all of whom ended up being great recommendations!
On the day of our ceremony, Jennifer was great at managing our other vendors, and she and her team kept things running smoothly. She coordinated with our florist to pick up the flowers and get them arranged at the venue, and managed getting our marriage license to our officiant and any outstanding vendor payments. Since we had a livestream component in addition to our in-person guests, she and her team helped navigate and troubleshoot small issues that popped up throughout the day, including arranging and moving our flowers, working with the servers and bartender to keep our guests fed and well hydrated, and reminding our guests to put their masks on to keep everyone safe while we celebrated. At the end of the night, she and her team packaged and organized everything we had left at the venue and brought it back to our apartment. She was very thorough in organizing what we had left over, and sent a follow-up email a few days after the ceremony to wrap up any loose ends.
The only component that didn’t happen during the reception that we expected to happen was getting champagne to our in-person guests for the speeches and toasts. However, our event timeline was a little different than a typical wedding reception timeline, since we wanted our digital guests to be able to see the first dance, cake cutting, toasts, and bouquet toss without spending the entire evening tethered to their computers. We still did get to enjoy the champagne near the end of the night with our guests, and when she and her team brought out the champagne, the impromptu toasts our guests shared were very memorable.
All in all, Jennifer was incredibly thorough, professional, helpful, organized, and understanding during the planning-during-a-pandemic process, and she and her team brought great energy to our ceremony and reception! We were glad to work with her, and it’s evident that her passion for planning and coordinating weddings comes from her heart. We definitely recommend Jennifer if you’re considering a wedding planner or day-of coordinator!
Jennifer Price with Event Shoppe Chicago was such a pleasure to work with. It almost feels weird to say work with because she is so down to earth that I felt like I had a wedding planning bestie! I’m still amazed at how she was able to make sure I got everything I wanted without going over budget! The icing on the cake for me is that I was stress-free on my wedding day thanks to her. In 2018 Jennifer planned my wedding. My bride and I thought it was wonderful. She was great at staying within our budget which was super important to my mother in law. She doesn’t take phone calls or respond to emails on Sundays unless it’s your wedding week. After she explained that it made sense, just would she would have told us to start with. She gave us great design suggestions. I didn’t even know farm tables were an option lol. Jennifer and her team did an amazing job on our wedding. We can’t thank them enough.
In January of 2013 Event Shoppe Chicago saved my daughter and I from becoming enemies for life. The wedding date was set for July 6,2013 and I knew we needed help! I am a very conservative person and my daughter is more free spirited. We were at odds about everything from flowers to chairs and we even stopped speaking for two weeks over the dress. Jennifer’s team came in and calmed the waters. Her creative thinking allowed us to stay within my conservative budget but gave my daughter the wedding she always dreamed of. She helped guide us through the process. The venue she help us select allowed us to have the wedding and reception for 200 people at the same location in two amazingly beautiful separate spaces. Her budget and design recommendations were spot on. She took the time to really know both my daughter and I so that the wedding was chic and affordable. Best of all the reception was the best party my family and friends had attend in years, we actually had to turn the lights on to end the party.
