Ayla's exceptional wedding planning expertise cannot be adequately expressed. Our expectations were exceeded in every aspect. From the second we decided to have Ayla join our wedding team, we knew we were going to be in excellent hands. We instantly clicked over the phone and during the conversation you could tell she was just as excited for us as we were to be speaking with her, I felt like I was just talking with one of my longtime friends. Leading up to the wedding, the communication was second to none. If we had a question we could email, call or text her anytime. She would get back to us almost instantly with the answer to our question, a suggestion or letting us know she contacted whoever was needed to ensure we had an answer. She fights for her couples and demands answers/replies when necessary. On the day of the wedding, Ayla showed up early to start preparing the venue for our vision and wedding. She came to my hotel room when I was getting my hair done, I couldn’t see anything behind me and kept hearing people coming in/out and was starting to get stressed out. I vividly remember asking who had walked in and she instantly came up, grabbed my hand and told me she was here, asked me how I was doing and started to get to work with moving my decor down to the venue. That speaks true to the type of person Ayla is, she is there for YOU and is invested in making your wedding day the most absolute perfect day she can. She will “hold” your hands while you wedding plan easing any stress or anxiety that may arise and celebrate you along the way. Ayla made every single aspect and every detail of our wedding perfect, she took what we envisioned and turned it into a reality. My husband and I are SO grateful that we had someone like Ayla to plan and execute our day alongside of us and so glad that we get to call her our friend. No words can describe how phenomenal Ayla was during planning our wedding, but on our actual wedding day itself. We did A LOT of research, and out of all the wedding planners in Alaska, she was the one who was clearly the most experienced, had the greatest reviews, the most beautiful work displayed on her website and social medias and also was the best fit for us as a couple. After our first initial consultation with Ayla, we canceled all our other consults with other local planners because we knew we needed to look no further. We hired her for her full service package and it was the best decision we made. She handled EVERYTHING. And we mean it.! We only had to basically make decisions. Ayla had the most prompt communication and sent us through questionnaires and detailed documents we needed to make planning a breeze. The day of our wedding, we couldn't believe that quite **literally** nothing went wrong. NOTHING! "Our day went off without a hitch!"And we attribute 99% of that to Ayla with her pre-planning preparedness and execution of our perfect wedding day. I don’t think there are enough words to describe how amazing Ayla is. My fiancé and I got her full service package and it was definitely the best decision we made! From the beginning she was readily available to answer all our questions from creating our vendor team, designing the space, picking out decor, creating layouts, our timeline and more. The year, months and days leading up to my wedding I expected to be stressed…but I was anything but!!!! Everything during the planning process was streamlined - we barley had to lift a finger…all we had to do was make decisions she presented to us in the most organized and detailed way. She did all the research and vendor communication which lifted the HUGE burden of wedding planning off our shoulders. If you are looking for a planner in Alaska - please save yourself time and look no further, because hiring Ayla is the best decision you will make when planning your wedding.

Where do I even begin?? Ayla is INCREDIBLE. If you are on the fence about hiring a wedding planner, take my word for it now and 1. Do it and 2. Hire her. If you need convincing… Ayla made the wedding planning process so much fun! We hired her as a month-of coordinator, as I planned on doing most of the work myself and then would hand it off for Ayla to execute. We added one extra option to work on a venue layout together so I could better visualize the space. Ayla went above and beyond in every interaction we had. Not only did she accomplish her work on time (or ahead) which helped lower my stress levels, but she was a sounding board as I worked through details. I genuinely felt like I was chatting with a close friend to dream and scheme up my perfect wedding. When the time came to pass the work to her more fully, I did so with glee knowing that she is just as type A as I am. ;) My level of stress would’ve been through the roof had we not had Ayla leading up to the wedding, and certainly not on our wedding day. She executed the vision and plan we worked on together PERFECTLY. There were a few things that were out of our control (the power went out, can you imagine??) and yet the day went off without a hitch. I was calm enough because of her help that it didn’t even bother me, if I noticed at all. I will never forget the feeling of walking into our reception venue and seeing the space exactly how I imagined, without having to lift a finger to make it that way on my wedding day. She gave me the ability to remain present with my friends and family, and more importantly my husband. I will forever be grateful! We hemmed and hawed over the decision to hire a wedding planner, and looking back I can’t even begin to imagine what it would’ve been like without Ayla. She was worth her weight in gold. Your wedding is a time to celebrate with those closest to you, and it should be a joyful day. Take stress out of the equation and let Ayla help you. I don’t believe there are words to describe the peace-of-mind Ayla brought to us during our wedding planning. Here is our story. I am the friend who loves hosting and planning parties and am a Type A perfectionist. When we got engaged we knew I needed a wedding planner or I would obsess over every detail and blame myself if anything went wrong and wouldn’t enjoy the process. I am also the type of person that has to ensure they have done all the research on every single option. I spent the next week researching wedding planners in Alaska and happened upon Events by Ayla. I didn’t even contact another planner, because after seeing her website and Instagram I knew she was the one! Originally she said she would not be taking on weddings in 2023 for personal reasons, but would reach out if that changed and I was heartbroken. I agonized over this for days because no other planner was “the one” and so I began planning the wedding myself, my own worst nightmare. Then one day I received an email from Ayla that she would take on our wedding if we were still interested; to say I was elated would be an understatement! To me it was a very good omen! Our first meeting with Ayla she assured me her job was not to take over the wedding planning completely, but to assist me and give me the information I needed, options, and advice to have the best day of my life. She was bubbly and sweet and very easy to connect with. I spent the next week deciding if we needed to spend the extra money for full-service or not which was a huge decision, but let me assure you, the financial investment was well worth it! 

In the year and a half of our wedding planning Ayla became more than a wedding planner, she also became a friend and confidant. Poor girl learned way more about my personal life and emotions than she signed up for, but she was always there to listen and give great advice. Her years of experience definitely shone throughout the entire process, but she always let us make the final decision. I never felt “steamrolled” by her, I always felt confident in her options, and I never felt nervous about how things would go on wedding day. Funnily enough, the day of our wedding I was having anxiety because I felt I should be doing something and had nothing to do because Ayla had everything perfected! When Ayla agreed to take us on as clients I don’t think she entirely understood what she had signed up for given my personality and perfectionism, but through the entire process she always made me feel like my overplanning, design, and ideas were well aligned with her personality, style, and attention-to-detail. She never made me feel like I was a burden. I will recommend her again and again to anyone I know who is getting married and wants the services of a wedding planner. I will also always recommend a wedding planner to every bride, no matter their personality style or how many or few details they think their wedding will require. Being able to enjoy our wedding day to the complete fullest without myself and my (now) husband, or any of our friends and family feeling like we spent the day “working” was my biggest wish for my wedding. Ayla made that and so much more come true for the most enchanting day we will never forget!

Ayla is such a fantastic wedding planner. As someone who is busy with work, being a mom, and who generally stresses out over event planning, I knew early in our engagement that I would need help planning our wedding. Right after our first phone call, we knew immediately that Ayla would be a good fit for us. She took the time to get to know us as a couple and listened attentively when we described what we envisioned for our day. Ayla has amazing attention to detail, is extremely organized and responsive, and is overall a very kind and thoughtful person. She guided us through the entire process, answered all of our questions, turned my random ideas into a reality, and most importantly, kept me sane through it all. When the day arrived, I was able to enjoy each moment with my husband and our family because I knew she was on top of everything else. It was wonderful. I can honestly say of all the decisions we made during the planning process, hiring her was the best.

We truly cannot recommend Ayla enough. A wedding planner is a huge investment and Ayla was worth EVERY single penny. We had the most wonderful experience with Ayla by our side. She is not only amazingly professional but also the sweetest, kindest soul. Her attention to detail and enthusiasm made our experience that much more rewarding. The planning process was smooth and efficient and the day of we weren’t worried about a single thing. Even in the pouring rain, Ayla supported our decision to have the ceremony outside! Ayla was a godsend to our wedding planning. My husband and I were both in California, so our wedding was destination for us and many of our guests. Ayla gave us so many great ideas and created a design board from my Pinterest that totally captured our vision. Her planning guide was really helpful and gave us connection to much needed vendors. She gave feedback when we really needed it. She also handled things like a boss at our tasting, she made sure that we had a 4 tier cake like I wanted (even though the chef tried to talk us into 2). I find myself channeling Ayla when I need to take care of business. You will not regret hiring her. Also, she is very communicative and kept me on track to have the best day ever! Truly, I couldn’t have done it without her.

We truly couldn’t have had such an amazing experience without ayla on our side on our wedding day. Ayla planned my wedding in July of 2022, and I still (5 months later) can't get over how perfect it was, what a beautiful job Ayla did, and how thankful we are for her hard work and attention to detail. Ayla was completely dedicated to making my wedding vision come to life, and she delivered above and beyond my expectations. I am so so glad that we worked with her, and can't imagine my wedding without her eye for detail and her care. I would recommend her services to absolutely anyone and everyone. I simply can not say enough good things. Throughout the planning process, Ayla was there for me - not only the detailed design boards, maps, and plans she sent me, but also to answer every single one of my questions, quickly and with care. If I changed my mind, Ayla handled it in stride and adjusted without even blinking. I really felt like she was there for me and my wedding. She was patient if I didn't get back to her right away or couldn't decide about something. She was kind in reminding me what I needed to be doing. She was organized with monthly checklists. On the week leading up, she was totally prepared and organized and completely handled any and all road bumps (there really weren't many, being as how she had completely tackled everything so far in advance) without causing me any stress. On the day of and day before, she worked from sunup to sundown (and I do mean Alaskan summer sun-up to sun-down) to prepare everything so we could enjoy ourselves and relax. She took time and care to get everything perfect. She didn't complain about a single thing, and always had a big smile on her face. Another small detail that we both loved, was that she made sure we always had food and drinks on our wedding - I hear so many brides say they didn't get to eat, but Ayla literally was so on top of it, we didn't miss a single thing. Seriously, hire her. We can't say enough about how much we loved working with her and how much fun and enjoyment she added to our day, by bringing her specific talents and light to our day, as well as reducing our stress and anxiety leading up to the event.

We are so thrilled we hired Ayla to help with our wedding! We spent so much time and effort planning all the details we knew we needed someone we could trust to take care of everything on our wedding day. Ayla was always timely with her communication and I always knew she was there for us! She even made time to come out and help us with the ceremony rehearsal. And although she had another bride to take care of, she checked in on me several times throughout the day of us decorating and was available to help with any design questions! We loved working with Ayla, it was such a relief to be able to hand off some of the week of duties, and I know we couldn’t have had the wedding of our dreams without her help!

Truly, I don't know where to even begin. I always knew I wanted to hire Events by Ayla after hearing so many positive words and reviews from our close friends who previously hired Ayla to be their wedding planner. Our daughter’s wedding day was absolutely beautiful. This in large part to Events by Ayla. From the point the wedding planning first started many months before to the end of the wedding day, Ayla was right there guiding us along the way — professionally working with our daughter to design her vision of her wedding day and providing the research and professional comparisons for vendors that we might consider to choose to work with from musicians, caterers, florists, photographers, hair and makeup for the bride and bridesmaids, and linen and equipment rentals. As the mother of the bride, I literally had no stress all the way through the process. Hiring Ayla was one of the smartest decisions I made in the wedding planning process. I originally was planning my wedding by myself due to my budget, but when COVID hit I was somewhat blessed with more time to plan and more bend in my budget. After one phone call with Ayla I knew she would be a perfect fit as our wedding planner. From the beginning she was a excellent communicator and always answered any questions I had. She is very knowledgeable and has a great reputation throughout the wedding industry in Alaska. She has an amazing "Starter Guide" and a very impressive vender recommendation list. She literally will walk you through how to get married & help you not forget the important details. Ayla worked great with all of my wedding vendors and everything went flawlessly (to me at least) on our wedding day. Ayla is super creative and was able to bring my vision completely to life just as she promised from the beginning. She not only is extremely professional, but she also is super fun and funny which was a must for us. You can tell that she completely loves what she does. Ayla really put my mind at ease knowing that she 100% wanted us to have the best day ever. She captured beautiful videos and photos of our day and shared them with us afterwards. The behind the scenes images really were special. At the end of the night she had the cutest little gift and card for us-- in the card was two polaroid shots of us from our wedding day. Our initial thought was that we would not need any planning assistance, as we were having an intimate ceremony and reception of under 80 people, but that was most definitely not the case. We hired Ayla for the full-service collection and the wedding day could not have happened with out her! Throughout the planning process, Ayla was attentive, organized and resourceful. Ayla is easy to contact and work with and she was not only able to take my visions and bring them to life, but she was able to take care of any fires that arouse quickly and efficiently. Even with having such a small wedding, having the extra hand was necessary! Ayla was able to see the day/evening run smoothly, work out all kinks with out having to involve me the day of, work with all my vendors to keep them on track and following my very detailed instructions, and most importantly, always made sure I always had a glass of champagne in hand.
