We recently had our wedding, and I truly cannot recommend Emily and her team enough. From the very beginning, the entire planning process felt easy and manageable because of her. N...
o matter what we were looking for, Emily was always able to find us vendors who fit within our budget while still being exceptional at what they did. She puts so much thought and care into every detail, and that showed throughout the entire process and especially on our wedding day.
Emily and her team made us feel incredibly special. The entire day ran so smoothly that I was able to just enjoy it and feel like the star of the event without worrying about what was happening behind the scenes. I have seen so many brides spend their wedding day stressed about timelines, vendors, and little details, and I never had to feel that way. Emily handled everything so seamlessly that I could be completely present with my husband, our family, and our friends.
Everyone who interacted with Emily and her team could tell that they were the catalyst behind making one of the best days of our lives a reality. We have already had so many guests tell us that ours was the best wedding they had ever attended, and there is absolutely no way we could have pulled that off without Emily. Even my parents could not stop raving about her, which is honestly a huge compliment because they can be pretty picky haha.
What really stood out to me was how attentive Emily and her team were, even with the smallest things. They literally had a curling iron plugged in and ready to go just in case I needed it. Sure enough, I ended up needing a few curls touched up during the reception, and I did not have to leave the party, search for anything, or even really think about it. They were already prepared. That level of thoughtfulness sums up the entire experience.
Emily and her team are truly the crème de la crème. They made us feel cared for, celebrated, and completely at ease from start to finish. It was an 11/10 experience, and if I ever plan another large-scale event, I already know exactly who I will be calling. We are still on such a high from the wedding and will forever be grateful for everything Emily did to make the day as incredible as it was.
Emily and her team were absolutely incredible. Without them, we are certain our weekend wouldn't have gone as smoothly as it did. I am extremely Type A and Emily helped bring all m...
y dreams to life and concerns to rest. We ended up hiring Emily very late into the planning process, only a month or so before the wedding, and she immediately hit the ground running, doing everything she could to understand our vision, expectations, and concerns up until that point.
She was our advocate through and through, liaising with other vendors and our church to ensure our expectations were met and that the stress was offloaded from myself and my husband. Without her, I am certain I would've been in the weeds all weekend, unable to be present and enjoy the fleeting magic that is gone before you know it!
This is only what meets the eye, and I am confident there was probably SO much more that went on behind the scenes and that Emily and her team were shielding us from so we could have fun and relax. This is a testament to Emily - that we weren’t even aware of everything she did because things were so seamless and beautiful. I can’t thank her and her team enough and can't imagine what our day would've looked like without them!
Emily and her team are absolute perfection! From communication style with me and my vendors, to grabbing last minute snacks and water for bridal party transportation, I couldn’t ha...
ve asked for a better team. There were two instances where my back was against the wall during the planning process leading up to the wedding, and Emily swooped in like an angel from God himself. She has so many wonderful connections in the industry, has high standards, and exudes professionalism. Our wedding went off without a hitch because of Emily and her team. They treated not only me and my husband like royalty, but all of my vendors and guests. The only regret I have is not booking her earlier because she alleviated so much of the overwhelming stress. If you don’t hire her, you’re really missing out on the perfect wedding of your dreams because that’s exactly what she delivers.
Love her so much! We are located in Ca and Emily was essential to planning our wedding in Pittsburgh.
We are kinda weird (my husband and I) and had some pretty unconventional idea...
s, which Emily took in stride. There was one instance where she thought something I requested was a joke. It hurt my feelings that she thought that it was a joke, but then Emily stepped up, apologized, and made it right, even though I was being a childish turd about the whole thing. We ended up going with my idea and she supported us the whole way.
She was practical and made sure we didn't get into anything we weren't prepared for. She communicated with our venue consistently, even though they were kind of a pain. Best of all, Emily helped us select the absolute PERFECT vendors after she got to know us. My favorite recommendation of hers was our photographer. It seemed like it would be impossible to choose someone (what do we know about photography? NOTHING), but she had connections and knew of a photographer (shoutout to Erica Dietz!) who fit our style exactly (less posed pictures, more photojournalistic).
Her day of team is also awesome! One of her teammembers in particular was a lifesaver. At one point I said to someone that I would love a chapstick. She overheard and came back with aquaphor on her finger. I used it and then had a greasy finger with nowhere to wipe it that wasn't a dress or a face covered in makeup. She told me to wipe it on her hand, so I did. What a hero. She also DROVE to our house to retrieve our marriage license when we forgot it, and our ceremony started only a few minutes late. Talk about above and beyond!
Our day turned out amazing and we are so thankful for her and her team! Also we got to have zoom calls with her gigantic cat, which is always a plus.
Emily and her team at Events by Emily were an absolute pleasure to work with. From the very beginning, they were available, open, and flexible in their communication style, making ...
the planning process much smoother. Their attention to detail and thorough, experienced approach was evident in every aspect of our wedding day. We hired Emily for her "day of coordinator" package, but she and her team were hands-on for so much more, going above and beyond to ensure our special day was flawless. Emily helped us find the perfect linens to rent and even had replacement linens delivered to Emily's house when the wrong ones arrived the night before the wedding. We are so grateful for their professionalism and hard work, and would highly recommend Events by Emily to any couple planning their wedding.

shed our cookie table, set up personal decor, and seating arrangements, and were constantly asking myself, my husband, and bridal party/parents if we needed anything. I would 10/10 recommend them to you for your big day.

f needs! I had all the ideas, the colors, the Pinterest board.... I just needed someone who could execute. Emily did just that. Especially for the 3 months leading up to the big day, she handled it all - phone calls, vendor meetings, coordination, final meetings, set up, design... you name it. And our wedding day itself was a dream. If anything wasn't according to plan, I had no idea. It was seamless. And, when people were too busy dancing to use our photo area, her team was on the dance floor, additional polaroid cameras in hand. Events by Emily genuinely gave us a dream come true.

m not a planner whatsoever and had only vague ideas of what i wanted with absolutely no idea how to execute my vision. After our first conversation, she stepped in and immediately started making our dream wedding happen. Throughout the weeks leading up to our wedding, she was so responsive to every question/concern i had and made me feel like i was the most important person in the entire world. She was always there for me - whether it was a planning question or just to listen to me vent about frustrations. Emily went above and beyond for me in so many ways and i am so grateful to have hired her. She also brought with her so many amazing vendor recommendations that made our day even more special.
On our wedding day, she made sure i had not a single care in the world except to get married. I was absolutely in tears when i did my first look at the venue after everything had been set up - it was more perfect than i could have imagined. Every flower, pearl, and bow was placed perfectly by her team and she spent the entire evening making sure i had everything i needed. If anything did go wrong on that day, i had absolutely no clue because Emily had it handled. She is worth so much more than what she charges for her services.
She is such a sweet person and so easy to talk to. If you want to have an absolutely perfect day - BOOK WITH HER! You will have absolutely no regrets and i almost wish my husband and i could have another wedding just so i could book Emily earlier to plan it!
We used wedding management day of coordinator plan. We were very impressed with Emily and her team (Shannon). She communicated well and answered all of our questions prewedding. ...
She was easy to work with, responsive to questions, and friendly. As an LGBTQ couple, she is inclusive and welcoming. How you know she is good, my wife and I have said over and over again 'Our wedding was PERFECT'. Everything went smoothly. Her extra touches made our night. We had the best time and enjoyed ourselves.
Working with Emily and the Events by Emily team was such a wonderful experience from start to finish! We got the partial planning package, and Emily was an invaluable resource (and...
cheerleader!) during the entire process. Not only did she work with us as a couple, she also worked with my mother in law to plan some really awesome handmade decorations for the escort card display and dance floor. Emily coordinated SO much for us behind the scenes and took a TON of stress off of our plates. She was also a great source of advice for what we wanted to focus our effort and resources on to get the biggest bang for our buck and make sure everything was cohesive. Emily was also helpful with little questions that don’t come up until you’re planning a wedding, like the order of the first dance/cake cutting/etc. The day of the wedding was an absolute breeze and Emily and her team did an incredible job to make everything run smoothly! They made sure we had cocktails (and lots of water since it was a hot day), as well as appetizers so we didn’t miss out. Overall, working with Emily and her team was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day, and we loved working with her!

. She was patient, thorough, responsive, and organized throughout the planning process. She helped with coordinating all of our vendors and making sure everyone was on the same page to ensure our day ran smoothly. She was so calming and fun on our wedding day! Having her there allowed me to be fully present throughout the day, knowing that she was on top of everything! Shannon made sure everything was just perfect for when we arrived to our reception venue. They were the most incredible team and I’m so glad they were part of our day!
We had the pleasure of working with Emily for the timeline coordination of our wedding, and then Shannon and Melissa for the actual day-of coordination. Shannon and Melissa helped ...
us set up all of our personnel decor, made sure we were on time throughout the day, brought us food and water regularly - and actually made sure we sat down for a second - and helped manage our vendors. They had to work hard to keep the venue's event manager from stepping into the role of coordinator/MC, which we really appreciated. We couldn't have done it without them.
As soon as we got engaged, one of the first things we booked was a wedding planner and wow, it was the best thing we ever did!! We chose Emily because of her kindness, attention to...
detail, and her intentionality in getting to know me and my now husband as a couple and assisting us in making our wedding personal. Emily was with us every step of the way, always available through texts and calls. She helped bring our vision to life in the best way possible. One of the best things about Emily was that she made me and my husband feel comfortable; we knew we could come to her with any issues and she would work tirelessly to find a solution and make sure we were at the forefront of the focus. That was so important and special to us. She and her assistant handled all of our wedding day chaos with the utmost grace ensuring our day went off without a hitch. We did have some bumps in the road the day of, but Emily and her team took care of everything so well, we only new about the chaos because she told us. We knew we were in great hands. Emily is the absolute best and the absolute real deal. She became a true friend throughout the process and I will miss her now that our wedding is over! I cannot say enough great things about Emily. If you hire her and her team, you will not be disappointed.

riented. I tend to be picky but indecisive, and Emily was very patient while we developed our vision. She recommended fabulous vendors, who helped bring that vision to life. Emily became a true friend through the process and was always available to lend an ear. (I will miss our texts and calls!) My husband and I were married at The Frick and were required to rent everything for the occasion, and absolutely nothing was overlooked. Shannon, Hannah, and Emily assisted on the day, allowing us to relax and enjoy the evening. Our wedding day was perfection thanks to Emily and her team! I am incredibly grateful and cannot recommend them enough!
Events by Emily is truly the best wedding planning team in the Pittsburgh area! I purchased the full planning package in early 2022 for my June 2023 wedding. Emily herself was assi...
gned to planning my big day, but Melissa and Megan from her team also helped out on the day of the wedding. After interviewing numerous companies, Event’s by Emily was my obvious choice for multiple reasons. The biggest reason being that I could tell with just speaking to Emily, I wasn’t going to just be another number. So many of these companies have super high prices for bare minimum services and if you aren’t having a 250+ person wedding and aren’t spending over 10K in florals you tend to get put on the backburner. This team also has great relationships with many vendors in the city which helps a lot when it comes to quality vendor recommendations. Lastly as most bride alums know, things will go wrong and there will be fires to put out on the day of the wedding. Events by Emily knows how to handle those roadblocks with grace and efficiency so well that you wont really realize the day of.
Emily is extremely diligent, personal, and knowledgeable about the industry. These are all of the attributes I hoped to have in a planner and I got those and much more. Emily has become a friend and someone I can trust will deliver. She was able to take my vision (and budget) and transform it into the intimate and luxurious wedding I dreamed of. I will be ever thankful for Emily and her team.

ven if it was a bit less formal than the typical wedding event. Before the wedding, they called all of my vendors and even caught an issue with one of the ones I had booked prior to hiring them. On the day of, I was shocked at how little I had to worry about -- there were a ton of small details they had sewed up while I was getting ready, they made the ceremony and reception incredibly smooth. At the end of the night, they made the wrap up extremely low stress and were super helpful. Thank you!!

t have to worry about any of the set up/clean up, and she made our reception space look absolutely amazing! Emily helped recommend vendors during the planning process and coordinated all vendor communication in the weeks leading up to our wedding day, taking a huge weight off of our shoulders. We are so appreciative of the hard work she put in to make our wedding day so special!

ny things they did to ensure our vision came to life. We couldn't have put our wedding in better hands. On the day of the wedding, Shannon was extremely helpful in all aspects throughout the day. She assisted with the rehearsal run-through, morning set up, coordination with vendors, directed guests and bridal party accordingly, kept the timeline as accurate as possible and helped with teardown at the end of the night. If you're looking for detail-oriented, organized, professional and the friendliest ladies I've ever met, you should definitely book Events By Emily!

decor. I couldn’t have asked for better advice. When it got closer to wedding time, Lauren was constantly in contact with my vendors regarding timeline and setup. This allowed my whole day to run seamlessly! Day of- Lauren and Hannah displayed professionalism and the most gorgeous set up (including an epic cookie table). I could not have asked for more. Events by Emily allows you to feel like you have a built in bestie throughout the wedding planning process to take the stress away! Can’t recommend enough!

so helpful from the moment we started working together. When it came to our wedding day, my husband and I had to worry about absolutely nothing. My mom, matron of honor, bridesmaids, and I got to spend the entire time before the ceremony relaxing and taking pictures, instead of worrying about what needed to be done. Emily and Melissa made sure that our day ran so smoothly. After our ceremony, Melissa chased us around with a plate of our cocktail hour appetizers to make sure we ate, while Emily took all of our ceremony flowers from the arch and chairs and repurposed them as decorations inside for our reception. May I add that our ceremony was outside, and they did all of this in the rain as well! While my husband and I were dancing the night away, Emily and Melissa grabbed our keys and packed literally EVERYTHING into our cars for us so all we had to do was say our goodbyes and head home. Emily was truly incredible to work with and made our wedding day totally stress free. If you are looking to hire a wedding planner or even just a day of coordinator, I highly recommend choosing Events by Emily!
Working with Emily was a dream. I felt like she was literally holding my hand each step of the way. My big day wouldn't have been able to come together without her help.

efore and I couldn’t be happier that we chose to. We actually hired Emily as a “day of coordinator” which she explained is more like month of, but regardless, definitely not a whole planner (for what we hired her for). However, I was texting and calling Emily for almost 2 years leading up to my wedding and she never gave me an issue. She is so polite and understanding. She is so talented and professional. I am a very in control type of person and knew how I wanted things to be, and I really didn’t have to tell Emily much. When I arrived on site to the venue, she had things set up almost exactly how I imagined them being. She made sure the day ran as smoothly as possible and it sure did! If anything went wrong, I wasn’t aware of it because she handled pretty much everything. Coming toward the end of the night, Emily came to me and told me she cleaned up all of the tables, put all of the signage and decor all together, and cleaned up our bridal suite, therefore there wasn’t much, if anything at all for us to clean up. I was shocked because I didn’t expect her to do that. She really goes above and beyond for her clients. Her talent, advice, opinions, friendliness, professionalism, everything is just amazing. You seriously can not go wrong in hiring Emily and her team to help you with your big day!

hey helped me get to enjoy the day and not worry about the small things! If I had to do it again I would 100% hire this team again and highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding!!

tly since our venue came with a coordinator and had a lot of other inclusive elements. It became apparent in the 2 months leading up to our wedding just how much we needed her! Especially when our venue didn’t keep track of things or would say two different things.
We were able to bounce some ideas off of her and get solid advice that really helped us with our big day and she made it SO special!! Emily went absolutely above and beyond to ensure our vision was executed and it was exactly what we wanted the day of our wedding and MORE!! Not only is Emily amazing at what she does, she’s truly passionate and you can tell that through her work and the way she communicates. Her bubbly, sweet personality is everything and I’m so thankful we chose her as our coordinator. Emily is creative, professional, kind hearted, and an expert at her craft. She also stays up to date with all things wedding/trends and really knows how to tie in key elements to bring your aesthetic to life! Not to mention she has built quite the community of relationships/top notch vendors to work with should you need any support in that area! I could go on and on but we truly had the most beautiful and perfectly executed day thanks to her, and we would highly recommend Events by Emily! 10/10 would do it all over again and have her by our side every step of the way!
Initially my now husband and I were going to try and handle the day of set up for our wedding ourselves. We figured we could ask a few family members and/or friends to help us out,...
but from the get go I was pretty hesitant with this idea. So I started researching wedding planners/day of coordinators on the side, just as a back up in case we changed our minds. As our wedding day approached I started to realize more and more how much we really needed someone outside of our friends and family to help us get things organized. I had been following Emily on Instagram for a while and decided to reach out. From the beginning Emily was super friendly and helpful and I pretty much immediately knew we needed her for our wedding day. I am so so sooooo glad we hired her. She was instrumental in helping us to get things set up, figuring out our timeline, reaching out and confirming vendors setting up/drop off times, setting up our wedding day decor, helping us with our rehearsal (which we would have royally messed up without her) among many many other things. Our wedding day was honestly one of the best days of our lives and I am 1000% sure that it wouldn't have been any where near as good if we wouldn't have had Emily's help. Out of all the things you may need on your wedding day, a wedding planner or day of coordinator is definitely someone you should consider bringing on. And if you are looking for someone, honestly, just reach out to Emily. She is THE best and will make your wedding day better than you ever expected. 😊

from Blanc de Blanc put me in touch with Emily and we hired her as our day-of coordinator. Hands down this was the best wedding planning descision I had made. Emily took my anal tendencies in stride and executed my vision better than I could have dreamed. My only regret is that I did not hire Emily sooner as it would have saved me a lot of stress in the long run!
Emily and her team did an excellent job throughout the entire process. They were communicative, proactive, and just lovely to work with. Would 100% hire again.
I booked Emily in late 2021 for a full wedding planning package for my wedding in February 2023. From the very beginning, Emily took the utmost care to ensure she understood our vi...
sion and priorities for the day. She carefully curated vendor recommendations for us which aligned with our concepts and style. She even arranged all of the initial vendor consultations! Emily joined all phone calls and even brought her own questions to ensure everything was up to par, and made sure we were satisfied.
I do not live in the area and planned my wedding from states away, and Emily was more than willing to be my boots on the ground. She jumped in without hesitation to look at rentals and tour the venue on my behalf (sending lots of pictures along the way!). Emily was always very attentive to anything I was stressed about or wanted to get a jump start on. Her positivity and kindness was always reassuring! :)
If for nothing else, you MUST book Emily for the day of! On the day of my wedding, I did not fret or stress or coordinate a single thing. Emily and her team handled coordinating all of the vendors, arranging table scapes, pouring champagne, bustling my dress, amongst many many other things that I'm probably not even aware of! She even delivered my cake stand to the baker while I was on my honeymoon!! Thanks to Emily and her team I was able to enjoy my big day to the fullest extent, and I cannot thank them enough!
I have been struggling to write this review because it is so hard to find the words to describe how absolutely incredibly Emily is. And not just as a planner, but also as a human....
We did not initially intend on hiring a coordinator, but after 2 years of being engaged something made us change our minds and I’m so glad we did. We spoke with multiple planners/coordinators but we were immediately drawn to the warmth and passion that radiates from Emily, even through the phone. Emily was a huge asset in coordinating with our vendors. I loved that she could be candid with us about annoyances we were feeling, and then extremely professional and kind in any emails that went out to address those issues. I will be honest and say I had big dreams for my wedding decor, and in my head it was perfect. But in a way I think I may have given her a puzzle that only showed her half the picture. I had many family members who were assisting with set up tell me how impressed they were with her. She adapted when things were missing and assigned someone to run to the store, and in the end everything ended up exactly where it was supposed to.
All of that is amazing, but what impressed me the most is how compassionately Emily handled the big upsets that happened on our wedding day. We had quite a few surprises day of and Emily handled the situation with so much grace. She did everything she could to remedy a problem she could have never prevented, and always made us feel validated and supported. I can’t recommend Emily enough, and if you’re on the fence definitely trust her with your day!!

hanging my mind a million times on every little detail at the initial stage of my event planning process until Emily and her team stepped in and provided me with great vendor recs (shoutout to Loyalty team & Joelle!) as well as event design expertise. I'm also super appreciative of all the long hours of planning calls we had as well as the quick check-ins in between from Emily throughout the planning process to help me bring my wedding vision come to life and yet executed it within my budget. Lauren and Hannah were my day of wedding assistants and they were super helpful in getting everything set up for me on time and finding/gathering all the guests to be where they needed to be - which is not an easy feat at my huge wedding venue so big thank you to you all! I can't emphasize enough how glad I am that I have chosen and trusted Emily and her team to help me with my wedding, so that I was able to really enjoy my wedding day stress-free!

and social media browsing, I came across Events By Emily. I reached out immediately knowing I needed someone to put the finishing touches on my perfect day. I chatted with Emily, she is so nice, easy going, supportive and great with communication. Having someone set up the ceremony and reception was my number one concern. I've done everything myself to this point but couldn't spend the morning of bringing my vision to life. Cue Emily--- she was ready to make the magic happen. Now, I'm a control freak and insisted on making Emily a scrapbook detailing my vision for the venue. Emily took my book and nailed the presentation of my decorations. What I had dreamed of was a reality. I did not however dream of the sudden and severe thunderstorm that rolled through Pittsburgh two hours before "I Do!". Being an outside in July wedding, weather was always going to be a worry but it didn't stop a thing! Emily had to do some cleaning up and redecorating but everything was still perfect when the music started playing and the guests arrived. Not only did Emily decorate twice but she handled all of my vendor communications the entire month before my wedding. She ensured everyone was going to be where they needed to be and getting what needed done, done. Did I mention Emily is an amazing hype girl and support system too?! Because, she is! She was there for texts, emails, the venue walk through, the rehearsal, and the big day!
So, to sum this all up.
Yes, you need the extra help.

Emily is just incredible. She cares so much about making your day special, she's phenomenal. We got the partial planning and day of coordination package. She would always make time...
to text us back whenever we needed anything, coordinated with vendors for us, gave us suggestions, multiple meetings (over zoom because we don't live in Pittsburgh), was so great at coordinating with the venue even when the venue staff said conflicting things.
It is 100% because of Emily that our wedding day went off without a hitch. While we were a little bit busy getting ready on our wedding day, our parents told us Emily was NON STOP running around day of making sure we didn't see any mishaps or deal with any vendors or anything. The ceremony, reception hall, cocktail hour area...all of it was set up EXACTLY how we planned. Emily was a godsend and we're so glad we didn't settle on the first few planners we talked to - she really, truly cares about what she does and has a passion for weddings. You will not regret hiring Emily for your special day, she will work tirelessly to ensure it truly is everything you planned it to be.
Hiring Emily as our day of/month of coordinator was one of the best decisions my husband and I made. Emily took so much pressure and stress off of my shoulders. She was all in from...
the get go- I remember our first communication starting out with her apologizing for waiting a day or two to email me back because she was having a baby! She was always prompt to answer my questions and she knew what needed taken care of. I think we put a lot on her shoulders being our wedding ceremony venue was outdoors uncovered and I was set with not changing it to the backup plan, even with rain in the forecast. She was supportive of what we wanted the whole way through. Emily is so kind, easy to get along with, organized, and she’ll also stick up for you. On the wedding day I turned to my bridesmaids and said “could you imagine if Emily wasn’t here”? We all laughed. It would have been chaos. So glad we had Emily so me, my husband and all of our guests could enjoy the day.
I hired Emily for a “day-of coordinator” and it was definitely helpful! She made sure I had everything done and ready to go, it was assuring to me knowing everything was scheduled ...
