Book Events by Emily! My husband and I are both surgical residents and needed full scale planning. Emily and her team did a fabulous job! Emily was professional, kind, and detail-oriented. I tend to be picky but indecisive, and Emily was very patient while we developed our vision. She recommended fabulous vendors, who helped bring that vision to life. Emily became a true friend through the process and was always available to lend an ear. (I will miss our texts and calls!) My husband and I were married at The Frick and were required to rent everything for the occasion, and absolutely nothing was overlooked.  Shannon, Hannah, and Emily assisted on the day, allowing us to relax and enjoy the evening. Our wedding day was perfection thanks to Emily and her team! I am incredibly grateful and cannot recommend them enough! 

Events by Emily is truly the best wedding planning team in the Pittsburgh area! I purchased the full planning package in early 2022 for my June 2023 wedding. Emily herself was assigned to planning my big day, but Melissa and Megan from her team also helped out on the day of the wedding. After interviewing numerous companies, Event’s by Emily was my obvious choice for multiple reasons. The biggest reason being that I could tell with just speaking to Emily, I wasn’t going to just be another number. So many of these companies have super high prices for bare minimum services and if you aren’t having a 250+ person wedding and aren’t spending over 10K in florals you tend to get put on the backburner. This team also has great relationships with many vendors in the city which helps a lot when it comes to quality vendor recommendations. Lastly as most bride alums know, things will go wrong and there will be fires to put out on the day of the wedding. Events by Emily knows how to handle those roadblocks with grace and efficiency so well that you wont really realize the day of. Emily is extremely diligent, personal, and knowledgeable about the industry. These are all of the attributes I hoped to have in a planner and I got those and much more. Emily has become a friend and someone I can trust will deliver. She was able to take my vision (and budget) and transform it into the intimate and luxurious wedding I dreamed of. I will be ever thankful for Emily and her team.

Emily, and her team, Hannah and Melissa were awesome coordinators! I had a more DIY-ish wedding, and they worked with me along the way to figure out what was most important to me even if it was a bit less formal than the typical wedding event. Before the wedding, they called all of my vendors and even caught an issue with one of the ones I had booked prior to hiring them. On the day of, I was shocked at how little I had to worry about -- there were a ton of small details they had sewed up while I was getting ready, they made the ceremony and reception incredibly smooth. At the end of the night, they made the wrap up extremely low stress and were super helpful. Thank you!!

Emily helped relieve so much stress on our big day! We were looking for a day of/month of coordinator to help make our wedding day run smoothly. Emily absolutely provided! We didn’t have to worry about any of the set up/clean up, and she made our reception space look absolutely amazing! Emily helped recommend vendors during the planning process and coordinated all vendor communication in the weeks leading up to our wedding day, taking a huge weight off of our shoulders. We are so appreciative of the hard work she put in to make our wedding day so special!

Emily and Shannon made the best team as day of coordinators for my wedding! Paying attention to detail, staying on top of schedule, and always checking in were just a few of the many things they did to ensure our vision came to life. Events by Emily was so helpful from the very beginning of my wedding planning process. Emily and Lauren were so responsive in any question I had ranging from vendors to pricing to decor. I couldn’t have asked for better advice. When it got closer to wedding time, Lauren was constantly in contact with my vendors regarding timeline and setup. This allowed my whole day to run seamlessly! Day of- Lauren and Hannah displayed professionalism and the most gorgeous set up (including an epic cookie table). I could not have asked for more. Events by Emily allows you to feel like you have a built in bestie throughout the wedding planning process to take the stress away! Can’t recommend enough!

Emily and her assistant, Melissa, were absolutely amazing! I hired Emily a few months before my wedding, and it was truly the best decision I made while wedding planning. Emily was so helpful from the moment we started working together. When it came to our wedding day, my husband and I had to worry about absolutely nothing. My mom, matron of honor, bridesmaids, and I got to spend the entire time before the ceremony relaxing and taking pictures, instead of worrying about what needed to be done. Emily and Melissa made sure that our day ran so smoothly. After our ceremony, Melissa chased us around with a plate of our cocktail hour appetizers to make sure we ate, while Emily took all of our ceremony flowers from the arch and chairs and repurposed them as decorations inside for our reception. May I add that our ceremony was outside, and they did all of this in the rain as well! While my husband and I were dancing the night away, Emily and Melissa grabbed our keys and packed literally EVERYTHING into our cars for us so all we had to do was say our goodbyes and head home. Emily was truly incredible to work with and made our wedding day totally stress free. If you are looking to hire a wedding planner or even just a day of coordinator, I highly recommend choosing Events by Emily!

Working with Emily was a dream. I felt like she was literally holding my hand each step of the way. My big day wouldn't have been able to come together without her help.

Emily is AMAZING. Truly you cannot go wrong by choosing her and her team to plan or help plan your wedding day. I was referred to Emily by a family member who had worked with her before and I couldn’t be happier that we chose to. We actually hired Emily as a “day of coordinator” which she explained is more like month of, but regardless, definitely not a whole planner (for what we hired her for). However, I was texting and calling Emily for almost 2 years leading up to my wedding and she never gave me an issue. She is so polite and understanding. She is so talented and professional. I am a very in control type of person and knew how I wanted things to be, and I really didn’t have to tell Emily much. When I arrived on site to the venue, she had things set up almost exactly how I imagined them being. She made sure the day ran as smoothly as possible and it sure did! If anything went wrong, I wasn’t aware of it because she handled pretty much everything. Coming toward the end of the night, Emily came to me and told me she cleaned up all of the tables, put all of the signage and decor all together, and cleaned up our bridal suite, therefore there wasn’t much, if anything at all for us to clean up. I was shocked because I didn’t expect her to do that. She really goes above and beyond for her clients. Her talent, advice, opinions, friendliness, professionalism, everything is just amazing. You seriously can not go wrong in hiring Emily and her team to help you with your big day!

Emily and her team, Hannah and Melissa were phenomenal!! We hired Emily about a month before our wedding for the day of. Our wedding went off without a hitch because of the team! They helped me get to enjoy the day and not worry about the small things! If I had to do it again I would 100% hire this team again and highly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding!!

I’ve always heard from other brides how it’s vital to hire a day of coordinator and how not hiring someone turns into a big regret. I wasn’t sure how Emily was going to fit in exactly since our venue came with a coordinator and had a lot of other inclusive elements. It became apparent in the 2 months leading up to our wedding just how much we needed her! Especially when our venue didn’t keep track of things or would say two different things. We were able to bounce some ideas off of her and get solid advice that really helped us with our big day and she made it SO special!! Emily went absolutely above and beyond to ensure our vision was executed and it was exactly what we wanted the day of our wedding and MORE!! Not only is Emily amazing at what she does, she’s truly passionate and you can tell that through her work and the way she communicates. Her bubbly, sweet personality is everything and I’m so thankful we chose her as our coordinator. Emily is creative, professional, kind hearted, and an expert at her craft. She also stays up to date with all things wedding/trends and really knows how to tie in key elements to bring your aesthetic to life! Not to mention she has built quite the community of relationships/top notch vendors to work with should you need any support in that area! I could go on and on but we truly had the most beautiful and perfectly executed day thanks to her, and we would highly recommend Events by Emily! 10/10 would do it all over again and have her by our side every step of the way!

Initially my now husband and I were going to try and handle the day of set up for our wedding ourselves. We figured we could ask a few family members and/or friends to help us out, but from the get go I was pretty hesitant with this idea. So I started researching wedding planners/day of coordinators on the side, just as a back up in case we changed our minds. As our wedding day approached I started to realize more and more how much we really needed someone outside of our friends and family to help us get things organized. I had been following Emily on Instagram for a while and decided to reach out. From the beginning Emily was super friendly and helpful and I pretty much immediately knew we needed her for our wedding day. I am so so sooooo glad we hired her. She was instrumental in helping us to get things set up, figuring out our timeline, reaching out and confirming vendors setting up/drop off times, setting up our wedding day decor, helping us with our rehearsal (which we would have royally messed up without her) among many many other things. Our wedding day was honestly one of the best days of our lives and I am 1000% sure that it wouldn't have been any where near as good if we wouldn't have had Emily's help. Out of all the things you may need on your wedding day, a wedding planner or day of coordinator is definitely someone you should consider bringing on. And if you are looking for someone, honestly, just reach out to Emily. She is THE best and will make your wedding day better than you ever expected. 😊

Emily and her team made my daughter’s wedding seamless and zero stress for me. They coordinated everything including the late night McDonald’s run for the end of reception snack. 100 cheeseburgers, nuggets, and fries. Emily was a pleasure to work with, very responsive, professional, and delightful. I’ve already recommended her for a friend’s wedding. I highly recommend Emily and team!

As my wedding was right around the corner, I was feeling anxious about getting my venue decorated given our time frame! Having expressed my concerns to my Bridal Boutique, Angelia from Blanc de Blanc put me in touch with Emily and we hired her as our day-of coordinator. Hands down this was the best wedding planning descision I had made. Emily took my anal tendencies in stride and executed my vision better than I could have dreamed. My only regret is that I did not hire Emily sooner as it would have saved me a lot of stress in the long run!

I booked Emily in late 2021 for a full wedding planning package for my wedding in February 2023. From the very beginning, Emily took the utmost care to ensure she understood our vision and priorities for the day. She carefully curated vendor recommendations for us which aligned with our concepts and style. She even arranged all of the initial vendor consultations! Emily joined all phone calls and even brought her own questions to ensure everything was up to par, and made sure we were satisfied. I do not live in the area and planned my wedding from states away, and Emily was more than willing to be my boots on the ground. She jumped in without hesitation to look at rentals and tour the venue on my behalf (sending lots of pictures along the way!). Emily was always very attentive to anything I was stressed about or wanted to get a jump start on. Her positivity and kindness was always reassuring! :) If for nothing else, you MUST book Emily for the day of! On the day of my wedding, I did not fret or stress or coordinate a single thing. Emily and her team handled coordinating all of the vendors, arranging table scapes, pouring champagne, bustling my dress, amongst many many other things that I'm probably not even aware of! She even delivered my cake stand to the baker while I was on my honeymoon!! Thanks to Emily and her team I was able to enjoy my big day to the fullest extent, and I cannot thank them enough!

I have been struggling to write this review because it is so hard to find the words to describe how absolutely incredibly Emily is. And not just as a planner, but also as a human. We did not initially intend on hiring a coordinator, but after 2 years of being engaged something made us change our minds and I’m so glad we did. We spoke with multiple planners/coordinators but we were immediately drawn to the warmth and passion that radiates from Emily, even through the phone. Emily was a huge asset in coordinating with our vendors. I loved that she could be candid with us about annoyances we were feeling, and then extremely professional and kind in any emails that went out to address those issues. I will be honest and say I had big dreams for my wedding decor, and in my head it was perfect. But in a way I think I may have given her a puzzle that only showed her half the picture. I had many family members who were assisting with set up tell me how impressed they were with her. She adapted when things were missing and assigned someone to run to the store, and in the end everything ended up exactly where it was supposed to. All of that is amazing, but what impressed me the most is how compassionately Emily handled the big upsets that happened on our wedding day. We had quite a few surprises day of and Emily handled the situation with so much grace. She did everything she could to remedy a problem she could have never prevented, and always made us feel validated and supported. I can’t recommend Emily enough, and if you’re on the fence definitely trust her with your day!!

Hiring Emily was one of the best decisions I made during the wedding planning process. She made my life SO easy leading up to the wedding and went above and beyond to coordinate any requests we had, including ordering a pizza for the groom to the reception. Emily’s kind, caring, and organized nature is evident. She was made to do this job. If you are wondering if you need a coordinator, Emily is the person for you. You won’t regret it!

You need Emily. She will go above and beyond for you. She made everything so nice and we got to enjoy every moment of our wedding day. She handled so much - including getting my family under control and where the needed to be (which is a full time job). We hired her as our day of coordinator and she went above and beyond her duties. Her assistant Becky is so adorable and also such a huge help. They took the time to make sure the day was exactly how We imagined it.

My wedding was a dream come TRUE with the help of Emily, Lauren, and Hannah! I wouldn't have been able to pull this big day off without you guys! Lauren and Hannah were my day of wedding assistants and they were super helpful in getting everything set up for me on time and finding/gathering all the guests to be where they needed to be - which is not an easy feat at my huge wedding venue so big thank you to you all! I can't emphasize enough how glad I am that I have chosen and trusted Emily and her team to help me with my wedding, so that I was able to really enjoy my wedding day stress-free!

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect!! Our amazing vendors helped make this possible. :) I had Emily's help from the very beginning and truly appreciated her assistance and advice throughout the planning process. She recognized an issue with the photographer and videographer we had initially hired and immediately went to work to find other options, who ended up being absolutely amazing. Thank god!! Emily was amazing to work with from the first consultation with her to after the wedding was over. Emily helped ease a lot of my stress and anxiety leading up to the wedding. The wedding weekend, Emily had two assistants as well that made everything run so smoothly. I would recommend Emily to anyone planing an upcoming wedding. I actually found her from Loyalty Entertainment as she used to work for them but branched off with her own company. My only regret is not using her for the whole planning process as I could have definitely used her help and expertise throughout. Thank you Emily, you are amazing!

Have you ever planned your entire wedding yourself?! It's a lot of work and even though I thought I could do it all myself... I gave in and asked for help. After a ton of research and social media browsing, I came across Events By Emily. I reached out immediately knowing I needed someone to put the finishing touches on my perfect day. I chatted with Emily, she is so nice, easy going, supportive and great with communication. Having someone set up the ceremony and reception was my number one concern. I've done everything myself to this point but couldn't spend the morning of bringing my vision to life. Cue Emily--- she was ready to make the magic happen. Now, I'm a control freak and insisted on making Emily a scrapbook detailing my vision for the venue. Emily took my book and nailed the presentation of my decorations. What I had dreamed of was a reality. I did not however dream of the sudden and severe thunderstorm that rolled through Pittsburgh two hours before "I Do!". Being an outside in July wedding, weather was always going to be a worry but it didn't stop a thing! Emily had to do some cleaning up and redecorating but everything was still perfect when the music started playing and the guests arrived. Not only did Emily decorate twice but she handled all of my vendor communications the entire month before my wedding. She ensured everyone was going to be where they needed to be and getting what needed done, done. Did I mention Emily is an amazing hype girl and support system too?! Because, she is! She was there for texts, emails, the venue walk through, the rehearsal, and the big day! So, to sum this all up. Yes, you need the extra help. Yes, it's worth it. Emily is just incredible. She cares so much about making your day special, she's phenomenal. We got the partial planning and day of coordination package. She would always make time to text us back whenever we needed anything, coordinated with vendors for us, gave us suggestions, multiple meetings (over zoom because we don't live in Pittsburgh), was so great at coordinating with the venue even when the venue staff said conflicting things. It is 100% because of Emily that our wedding day went off without a hitch. While we were a little bit busy getting ready on our wedding day, our parents told us Emily was NON STOP running around day of making sure we didn't see any mishaps or deal with any vendors or anything. The ceremony, reception hall, cocktail hour area...all of it was set up EXACTLY how we planned. Emily was a godsend and we're so glad we didn't settle on the first few planners we talked to - she really, truly cares about what she does and has a passion for weddings. You will not regret hiring Emily for your special day, she will work tirelessly to ensure it truly is everything you planned it to be.

Hiring Emily as our day of/month of coordinator was one of the best decisions my husband and I made. Emily took so much pressure and stress off of my shoulders. She was all in from the get go- I remember our first communication starting out with her apologizing for waiting a day or two to email me back because she was having a baby! She was always prompt to answer my questions and she knew what needed taken care of. I think we put a lot on her shoulders being our wedding ceremony venue was outdoors uncovered and I was set with not changing it to the backup plan, even with rain in the forecast. She was supportive of what we wanted the whole way through. Emily is so kind, easy to get along with, organized, and she’ll also stick up for you. On the wedding day I turned to my bridesmaids and said “could you imagine if Emily wasn’t here”? We all laughed. It would have been chaos. So glad we had Emily so me, my husband and all of our guests could enjoy the day.

I hired Emily as my day-of coordinator, and I will say had COVID not pushed our wedding planning process to be a 3-month race, I would've hired Emily sooner to help with everything from start to finish. Emily did more things for my wedding behind-the-scenes than I will probably ever know about, but on my wedding day when she arrived, she took the reins of EVERYTHING and my mind was at ease immediately (including my veil falling out about 5 steps down the aisle, and I think she caught it and had it back in my hair before I even realized it had fallen out). She quite literally is with you every step of the way. I think it's a true testament to her when both my bridal party and guests were approaching me after the wedding complimenting my wedding coordinator :)

Emily is just wonderful. She is so helpful, willing to handle anything I needed her to. We planned our wedding 3 times (rescheduled once, then moved venues once) and she managed all the details for me just perfectly. She is super kind and easy to get in contact with. Kylee with Events by Emily was such a big help for our wedding! Not only did Kylee and Emily check in throughout the planning process, but Kylee was also a big help on our wedding day, communicating with our vendors, helping set-up our beautiful cookie table, checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed, and she was especially a huge help with tear down so my husband and I could end the night dancing with friends! I am SO glad I hired Emily for my wedding! As a super stressed Covid bride who decided to move my wedding to a family home, I was in desperate need of a coordinator to make sure everything ran smoothly. In addition to making sure the day itself ran like clockwork, Emily also did the following with barely a week's notice: 1. Drove to the property and helped me assess a layout. 2. Confirmed logistics with vendors. 3. Picked up additional decorations. 4. Helped everyone prepare for private event logistics. My only regret is that I wish I would've hired her sooner!
