Kiersten was the planner for our wedding at Bluestem Farm in Hebron, IL. She was friendly and kind throughout the process. However, a few issues came up. She was often late (several days to a week) at responding to emails, and many times she only responded to a few of our questions at a time. During the last couple of weeks leading up to our big day, there were a few bigger details that still needed to be ironed out, which left us feeling rushed and worried. She is a pleasant person, but the communication and organization issues could be improved.
Kiersten was absolutely amazing. Her calm composure, kindness and hard working style helped make our wedding day the best day ever. She also brought a host of amazing vendors too and really guided us through the wedding process. Decor especially she was so great - she set everything up so beautifully. Kiersten - we couldn’t have done it without you! Everyone - definitely hire Kiersten if you can!
Kiersten was the planner for my recent wedding and she was amazing. We had to move our wedding due to COVID and she helped us with everything along the way. Our wedding had a lot of moving parts and Kiersten and her team made sure that everything was seamless. I am so thankful to have had her during our planning and wedding day. I am grateful for all the last-minute details that she was able to take care of so that I could enjoy every moment of our day. She was well organized and great to work with.

It was a magical day and as the mother of the bride, I enjoyed the every minute of it. Kiersten and her team handed the details from coordinating the vendors (we had over 10 - trolly, shuttle services, caterer, Lou Malnati's late night pizza delivery and a band), kept everyone on schedule, and is so enjoyable to work with. She even came to the church for the rehearsal to meet everyone and stayed until everything was cleaned-up after the reception. Kiersten and her team took the work out of our day.
Kiersten was organized, available for communication throughout the planning process and stayed through the whole wedding to help with set-up, clean up, and everything in between! The last thing I wanted was to be stressed on my wedding day and she made sure this didn’t happen! Thank you Kiersten!
Kiersten is great! She is so friendly, warm and welcoming. She always helped us feel at ease and we had complete and total confidence in her, no matter the task. Kiersten is very easy to work with, an important characteristic for a coordinator! She is also incredibly kind and offers a ton of support to make sure your wedding day goes according to plan. I felt so sure that Kiersten would handle all deliveries, details and decorations for us to allow us to be stress-free on our wedding day! She is also very aware of timing and keeping things moving along smoothly (even though my family tried to test that with long speeches!). We were in very close contact leading up to the wedding and going over all details to make sure we were organized and on the same page. I would highly recommend Kiersten - she's great and offers her services at a reasonable price point. :) She also has a collection of decorative items which are available for you use, which was something I found very unique and valuable so we weren't "wasting" tons of money on decorations specific to one day.
Kiersten was HEAVEN SENT! We originally hired her as just a day of coordinator, but changed our minds like 3 months from the wedding and she was all on board with no complaints. She took care of everything from contracts to walk throughs. I barely had to do anything but show up. Not to mention the day of the wedding she set up everything so perfect and practically catered me. She ran and got me water or food when I needed it, was there to move my hair for pictures, and even got some behind the scenes shots. I recommend her to EVERYONE for EVERY event, not just weddings!
I was the photographer at a wedding Kiersten did and she was on it! She came ready to do whatever was needed to be done. She was pinning flowers, moving items in wagons from one site to another, and all of this in the rain, too! She was a great vendor to work with.
Kiersten’s attention to detail made our day so special and memorable without the stress I was having prior to hiring her as I attempted to do alone! Having a wedding planner is definitely vital to relaxing on your day! She’s super sweet and charismatic and we truly enjoyed her being a part of it all making sure everything went smooth! Kiersten is hands-down the best wedding coordinator out there!! She delivered on all promises and went way above and beyond. My wife, Lucy, found her when looking through many options for this service. Kiersten's friendly attitude, extensive experience in this space, tons of resources on hand, and assistance with many other aspects of our wedding were incredibly appreciated. Without her our wedding wouldn't have gone as smoothly or been as fun - her services are totally clutch! She is the absolute best and can't recommend her highly enough!
Kiersten did an amazing job! Kiersten was so sweet and helpful throughout the entire process. We hired her about 2 months out for a wedding of about 50 guests, with 10 outside vendors plus the venue.
Kiersten jumped right in, speaking in person and via phone with us and all the vendors to ensure everyone was on the same page. She asked questions of us that we had not previously thought of. About a week before, she came to us & picked up ALL the stuff we wanted to take to the venue & transported it there for us. Kiersten let us use several decor items she had in her inventory.
The day-of, Kiersten arrived early & stayed late! She bounced back and forth making sure both of us were relaxed & didn’t need anything. She made sure the flowers got to each of us in the morning, carried a bag of post ceremony stuff for us, & helped the photographers get us where we needed to be. At the venue she worked behind the scenes to ensure our vision was carried out perfectly! Kiersten helped the florist decorate the venue, which looked beautiful! At the end of the night, she quietly packed up all of our stuff and took it home for us. We didn’t have to worry about a thing!
Kiersten was very responsive to calls, texts, & emails. We had not thought of hiring a day-of planner until towards the end, but are so glad we did! Kiersten was awesome to work with & we highly recommend her! We wish We would have hired her from the beginning!

I would highly recommend Events By Kiersten! My wife and I, were pretty laid back when it came to the wedding planning, and didn't think we would need any help, since we weren't doing anything over the top. We are so glad we found Kiersten, because there was no way we would have made it through the wedding day without her. When we had our first conference call, when deciding who to book, she stood out hands down above the rest. She was interested about us and our needs, rather than having her own plan and agenda like some companies that we talked to. We hired her with only a month before the wedding, and were so happy that we did. She asked us and vendors questions that we would have never thought to ask. We had no worries or unrelated stress due to vendors or timing, because of Kiersten. She is great, and so helpful! She did an amazing job for us, and was available at all hours of the day, so there was never any disconnect. We loved how our wedding turned out, and a lot of that was because of Events By Kiersten.
My now husband and I hired Kiersten just ONE WEEK before our wedding. We had been doing most of the planning on our own from across the country and as our special day approached we quickly realized we were a tad in over our heads. I reached out to Kiersten and she was immediately responsive and totally on board. She dove right and in absolutely took the reins without stall. She organized and reached out to all of our vendors, she coordinated their arrival time, their parking, their set up and their meals. She decorated our cocktail hour and reception hall with all of the small signs and decorations that we had as well as some that she provided for us. Our wedding day was spectacular and magically and my husband and I were able to fully enjoy ourselves, she truly made our day come to life! She even had my flats ready when she saw I was done dancing in heels!! She was an absolute lifesaver. She came with a wedding day emergency kit, her own running shoes and a big smile. She worked her A** off for us and we will be eternally grateful. WOULD 100% RECOMMEND.
I would recommend Events By Kiersten. At first I wasn't sure if I needed a day of wedding coordinator because my bridal party and family were willing to help and were super helpful the day of the wedding. However, even with the extra hands, there is just so much going on the day of the wedding and I absolutely needed Kiersten's help. It really helped the day go very smoothly! I was so happy with how things went the day of my wedding and I had a lot of the stress taken away thanks to Kiersten!
As a teacher, my planning skills are on point. However, as the wedding date came closer and more vendor emails/ meetings were coming my way, I realized I was going to need help to pull this off. That's where Kiersten came into the picture. She was amazing. She first walked me through everything she already knew she would be a part of and any additional meetings she wanted to be present for (meeting that would help her get to know the vendors, wedding party, etc). I knew she was behind the scenes keeping touch with all the vendors because she would CC me in ALL the emails. I could have never kept up with all the emails and calls she made for me. Every so often, she would catch me up on everything going on and really took a lot pressure off of me. I was able to be a guest at my own wedding because she handled so much on the days leading to the wedding, and everything the day of. I still managed to have a crying spell after the church rehearsal (not at all related to her) days before and she did a great job calming me down for that too! She really knows her stuff and is the perfect wedding coordinator.
Events By Kierste arranged an amazing party for us! Kiersten created an experience, not just a party. She listened to us, learned and understood what we wanted and then created a unique and fun theme, a signature drink, decor... which made the night! Her team of professionals who come to your home/venue is lovely, very efficient and attentive to every detail. Perfection is the work that comes to mind!!!
We were initially impressed with Kiersten when we interviewed her, but things started to unravel very quickly after we paid her. The way she spoke to me was as if I was the vendor and she was the client, often using phrases like "that's not my job", "either you pay me for my time or not" (which we DID pay her in full) "you need to take responsibility for..." Etc. And she even told me I wasn't treating her well even though all I did was ask her questions. We had to constantly walk on eggshells because all of her responses were defensive, aggressive and toxic. She made me cry two days before my wedding and that is when I cut off contact with her because I only wanted positive energy for my wedding. At the actual event, my mom, dad, MOH and several other people had to go find her to ask her to help get things organized. Everyone kept asking me where my wedding coordinator is and it was embarrassing. At the end of the night, she packed up and took home some of my decor and when we asked about it she told us we needed to come and pick it up from her. We were looking for someone to help with the details and take some of the stress off of us and what we got was exactly the opposite. Luckily, my wedding was beautiful. My photographer stepped up to run the show and we had a great night.
Kiersten was on top of her stuff! We wish we had hired her earlier. She brought tons of materials and made sure things were ready and vendors were where they needed to be.
Kiersten has the expert eye, finger on the pulse of what’s on trend and customer service standard that makes her one of the best in the biz. She will ensure your wedding is the one if your (and your guests!) dreams. Highly recommend!
I’m so grateful and thankful for everything Kiersten has done for me and my family!! She was so attentive to everything I needed. I know I was a bit demanding at times and she never once came back to me without a solution for whatever my crisis was at the time (which was basically the entire spring 2017!) She is definitely a strong organizer, planner, and detailed worker! She had no problem keeping things on track and in budget! She is extremely forward thinking and optimistic. Kiersten is to the point and gets things done!
We booked Kiersten 3 weeks before our wedding and she was a HUGE help! She finalized with all of our vendors, helped figure out lunch the day of, food in the bridal suite, and logistics on how the bridal party was getting from the hotel to the venue. She also stalked our florist as she wasn't responding. The day of she reminded me to take deep breaths, we did a few yoga moves in the morning, it was nice to get the morning started slow!
Kiersten was absolutely amazing! She went above and beyond to make our wedding everything we dreamed of! She was organized, detailed, and great with our family and friends. I was actually able to relax on our wedding day! The best thing I did during wedding planning was hire Kiersten!!
Kiersten you were a phenonenal help with our wedding in May!! love how calm you are, dealing with all the details so we could enjoy our day stressfree!! and i love how you decorated exactly how we like everything... really paying attention to our taste, style, theme, and budget... you're amazing to work with , lots of great ideas, and anyone would be fortunate for u to help plan their next event!
