Melissa was incredible to work with. She helped us primarily with design and florals, and it was quite amazing to go from having no idea what we wanted just a few months before the wedding, to talking to Melissa, and seeing her translate our personalities and preferences so beautifully at the wedding. We couldn't have been happier, and are so grateful for everything Melissa and her team did for us.

Melissa and her team were lifesavers for our June wedding. I went into planning thinking I could handle everything myself but quickly realized we needed a professional! Our wedding was at a "non-wedding" venue, so everything from the ice to the napkins, to the chairs and a dance floor had to be brought in. Melissa helped organize, plan, and MOST importantly helped me keep my budget in tact. She was amazing and let my "vision" shine through while reeling me in from the craziness. Never forcing an idea or a preference of her own, just helping me figure out what it is I actually wanted. There were so many moving parts and Melissa made it seem so seamless and effortless. I can't recommend getting a planner in general enough - you think you don't need one and you and I wholeheartedly recommend Events by Missy & Company to everyone. So professional, helpful and just genuinely happy to be there and for us on our wedding day. It was everything I didn't know I needed.
Melissa was originally hired to be our day of coordinator but she became so much more. She was my voice of reason and she took over when I realized I was overwhelmed with trying to plan my own wedding. She also referred some excellent services, such as a make up artist who was available on a holiday weekend with only one week's notice. She is an inveterate professional who kept everything under control and managed everything before our wedding and on the day of. I would have lost my mind with her.

Working with Melissa was the best decision we ever made. My fiancé (at the time) was nervous about the idea of working with a wedding planner but after our first meeting with Melissa he looked at me and said YES! And from then on it was just the most incredible relationship. She helped manage the incredibly overwhelming wedding industry - for every vendor we had to choose she gave us options to choose from and I always knew that we could trust her insight & suggestions. She helped us watch our budget and decisions when they seemed to be coming from every direction. But more than her planning skills, her demeanor makes her kick-ass to work with. We cannot recommend Melissa & her team more highly, she was an investment in our sanity and it resulted is us having the BEST DAY of our lives!!
Melissa was absolutely wonderful to work with at every stage of the planning process and I would recommend her to anyone. She worked with us as our day of coordinator. She is incredibly kind and friendly, organized, dedicated, and always at ease. In the beginning, she was there to answer questions, go through checklists, and bounce ideas off of. As we approached the date, she made sure that every detail of the schedule for the day was well-organized, from the big things like our bus transportation to the minute details like where the bridesmaids should stand to pass out sparklers to the guests. On the day of the wedding, she coordinated with every single vendor so that they worked as one unit and made sure that everything went smoothly, informing me and my husband and our party of what to do and when. I don’t know what we would have done without her. Besides all of the logistics that she handled, she was always calm and made me feel at ease, even when I was incredibly anxious about the possibility of something going wrong. Thanks so much for playing such an important role in our day, Melissa! It was perfect.
It has been a little over a month since our dream wedding at Cipriani. We have been working with Melissa from Events by Missy since last June. I was referred to her by my friend Cara who got married a year ago and working with her was the best wedding decision we made. I work 50+ hours a week and my hubby is doing his externship at a hospital, so we knew from the beginning that we needed help planning. From start to finish she has helped with everything. Melissa helped us quickly problem solve when our original venue didn't work out, her quick action and experience led us to the perfect venue. Her ability to take our conversations and turn them into a working vision board made it easy for vendors to follow. Her creative vision made our wedding truly dreamy. All of our guests were blown away and some say it was the best wedding they ever attended. This is a direct result of Melissa’s hard work and dedication to her clients. She is a décor genius, organized, gives great advice, and will calm you down when you are on the verge of a bridezilla meltdown moment LOL. As perspired as we thought we were, we definitely weren’t. Hire a planner, hire Melissa…you wont regret it! My day was literally MORE then anything we could have possible asked for, all thanks to Melissa!
Words cannot express my gratitude for Melissa & her girls! My wedding was something out of a magazine! It was the PERFECT wedding and it's all because of them. I came to them with a simple idea and they worked their magic and brought it to life. If you think you don't need a wedding planner, think again and if you think you can go with just any one THINK AGAIN! Melissa is a top-notch planner and I was super lucky to have had her assistance. She always made us feel as though she had everything 100% under control. Trust me, you want this is a planner!! I loved everything she came up with! She respected my input and added her special designer eye to my ideas. The day of the wedding ran so smoothly. Everything, every person, every moment...
I used Missy as my wedding day coordinator and she was a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. She had great suggestions for the wedding planning process and provided a very detailed schedule for the day of wedding. She even had backup readings for mass just in case the readers forget theirs, she thought of everything! I also had a long list of day of tasks , and kept adding to it, for her and Dominique (she was great too!) and even changed up transportation a few days before the wedding and she was able to execute and accommodate it all! During my wedding day, Missy always made sure I was comfortable and calm and kept checking in on me, she helped make my wedding day an amazing day I will never forget!
I used Events by Missy & Co. for my October 2014 wedding. I did not start my wedding planning process thinking we would use a planner, but our schedules became pretty hectic as the wedding date got closer--with our jobs, moving into a new apt., and all the details associated with our big day--and we realized that it was a worthwhile decision to bring a planner on board to help keep everything in order and ensure that all went smoothly and according to plan, especially after all the time, money, and effort we already put into the planning process. We booked Melissa for her partial planning package about 7 months out from our wedding date and are so happy we did. She kept us on track and was very prompt in answering all our questions throughout the process regarding everything from timing, details, etiquette, etc. She created our day-of timeline, confirmed timing/arrivals with all our vendors, and made sure that on our wedding day everything went smoothly. The week of the wedding she lightened my load by taking care of chores like dropping our gift bags off at the hotel for me. The morning of the wedding, people kept commenting on how relaxed and calm I was (which is not usually the case!), and I knew it was because everything was taken care of and I was confident that if any mishaps did happen, Melissa and her wonderful assistant Dominique would step in to take care of it. For example, while we were taking family pictures outside, my mother's heels kept sinking into the grass... she mentioned it to Dominique, and within seconds she was provided with heel protectors to prevent her from sinking into the ground. When I got some mud on the train of my dress, Melissa was right there with a shout wipe to get it out. I thought I had a good emergency kit... but it paled in comparison to theirs! It sounds cliche, but our wedding was truly the best day we've ever had, and we are so grateful for all that Melissa and Dominique did to make it that way!
I don't know what I would have done without Missy & Co on our special day. From the moment we signed on with her she became an invaluable part of our organizing, following up with vendors and reminding me of all the little things that can so easily slip your mind. When I almost forgot about arranging pickup for my groom's cake she was right there to fill in .She was there to calm me down when things got crazy and make sure that everyone and everything was where it needed to be. Her pricing is beyond reasonable and she was worth every dime! I don't know what I would have done without her
Missy did the dessert for my wedding last month, and all our guests were raving about how tasty the cupcakes were. We chose 4 different flavors, and Missy was incredibly easy to work with, affordable, and professional. She responded very quickly to emails when I had questions, and I appreciated her expertise and attention to detail. Great job!
