Welcome! I am so glad you found me. Congratulations on this wonderful new chapter in your lives! Events by Pamela Joy offers officiating and wedding planning. I am from Pelham, Massachusetts. Whether you are planning a small intimate wedding or a grandiose one, my wedding planning team is ready to assist couples and make their dreams come true. All weddings are approached with love and energy to ensure each couple’s day is personal and stress free. You're here because you are planning your dream wedding and want it to be delightful, personal and memorable. Or perhaps you are here because you want to renew your wedding vows. Maybe even bless your new little one with a special ceremony that is designed especially for the new addition to your family. If this describes you, you are in the right place. I have been a wedding planner for over 35 years. I began officiating during Covid, it was “my covid pivot.” I was missing my couples and the wedding celebrations, so I got ordained! I was delighted to marry four of my couples during Covid. It was magnificent. There is nothing better than joining a couple, with the ceremony script we’ve developed together, and standing in front of their friends and family. People always ask me why I officiate weddings. It’s very simple, because I love it! My goal is to provide you with a memorable and romantic ceremony that you and your guests will always remember, which is why I accept only a limited number of weddings each year. You choose between a Religious, Non-Religious, Spiritual, Interfaith or Themed style ceremony. However you label it, right now you are at a significant moment in your life's journey. No matter what type of ceremony you desire, I will work with you to make it memorable and meaningful. Wherever your ceremony is taking place, I’m happy to travel to that location.

Pam is lovely to work with! She really works with you to personalize and bring your own specific flavor to the ceremony. She had a lot of really great ideas but ultimately helped us keep our ceremony short and sweet. We loved working with Pam!

Pam is a wedding genius! She truly loves what she does and it shows. She helped us find all our vendors, even the cellist for the ceremony when we couldn't find one who would reply. We met in person the day before the wedding for the first time and it was like we had been friends for decades! Pam is so sweet, knowledgeable, and this day wouldn't have come together without her. If you live in Massachusetts and need to plan a wedding, Pam is the best there is.

Everyone had told us that a day-of wedding coordinator is essential so that you can focus on enjoying your special day (and not, e.g. whether the caterer had arrived or whether someone had bought the ice cubes). Pam came recommended by one of our colleagues and I am so thankful we had her support! Although we initially hired Pam as a day-of coordinator, she started connecting with us monthly starting half a year prior to our wedding. This was invaluable, particularly since our venue wasn't all-inclusive. Pam helped keep us on track with vendor bookings, reviewed vendor contracts, and suggested resources to realize our vision within a budget. As the wedding approached, she took over vendor communications, ensuring that we remained excited and stress-free about our big day. Our wedding turned out beautifully and flawlessly, thanks to Pam's meticulous behind-the-scenes coordination with our vendors. Her proactive approach, starting well before the wedding day played a crucial role in making our day perfect.

Pam was our daughter's wedding coordinator in July 2023. Pam rocked. Planning a wedding from out of state was difficult enough but Pam was with us every step of the way with texts/emails/monthly meetings and made things move so smoothly. The day of the wedding, Pam and her assistant were right on the ball making sure everything was in place and that things moved along. Thank you so so much Pam!!!! We appreciate everything you do :).

We could write a novel about why we loved working with Pam. To keep it short, we think it boils down to 3 key things: 1) even as a Day Of, she supports you through the planning process. Monthly check in helped us stay on track, she helped us find and coordinate with a few of our most critical vendors, and she was plugged into the vibe of our event from day 1 2) She’s a great hyper woman. The planning process is exhausting and there are definitely lows. Pam was ALWAYS reassuring, chipper, enthusiastic. She brought good energy to the table 3) on the big day, she was an unobtrusive organizational mastermind. She has great intuition for what decisions you want to be asked about vs the ones you want her to make. She was never “in the way” and really made sure everything moved at the pace we wanted it to. We can’t recommend Pam enough. Hiring her was one of our best decisions.

I jokingly referred to Pam as my "wedding therapist" throughout the entire planning process, but I wasn't kidding. My wedding wouldn't have happened if not for Pam. We hired her in the summer of 2019 to be the day-of coordinator for our October 2020 wedding. She immediately made me feel at ease and guided us through the whole process. When COVID hit and we had to dramatically alter our plans, she calmly figured out a new date with all our vendors, kept us informed of what was happening in Western Mass, and stayed positive. We ended up asking her to be our officiant for our mini-ceremony on our original date, and then continued to work with her to make our postponed reception a success. From monthly phone meetings, to always responding to emails quickly, to finding a new hair stylist when the original one had to back out, and finally, to making sure our big day went off without a hitch, Pam was incredible. Hiring her is the single best investment you can make for your wedding. Don't even consider another wedding planner.

Positive: Professionalism, Responsiveness, Value Pam helped us plan our "covid" wedding where we unfortunately had to postpone our original date and then change our venue 30 days before our wedding ! She helped us tremendously along the way , was so quick to respond with any questions, and had so many recommendations and suggestions to help us get our planning going.

Going into our wedding planning we didn't think we would need or hire a wedding planner. We quickly learned there were so many things we couldn't do or didn't want to do leading up to and on the day of our wedding. We reached out to Pam who promptly responded and we hired her as it was easy to see she was a great fit for us. From that moment right through our wedding day she went above and beyond and was there for us every step of the way to make sure our wedding day was perfect. She is kind, organized, knowledgeable, super helpful and a blessing to have around on your wedding day. She set up so much for us at the venue ceremony and reception spaces on our wedding day while we couldn't be there and we didn't want to rely on friends or family to do this. She also helped with cueing us during the ceremony and reception. She also helped create a detailed timeline that she shared with all of our vendors. Overall she made our day easy and stress free for us. We highly recommend Pam and would hire her 10 times over!!

Do yourself a favor and hire Pam! We hired her as a day of coordinator for our wedding, and it was the best decision we made. From our first meeting on, she was so friendly and sweet. Her bubble personality makes her such a delight to work with. She checked in with me once a month leading up to the wedding helping to keep us on track with planning. She was always available for questions or advice, and helped ease my anxiety along the way. We ended up postponing our original wedding plan for 2020, and held a micro-wedding instead. We decided to add her services for the micro-wedding to set up our backyard reception. I sent her a list of items and where they should go, and she set everything up perfectly! I am a perfectionist, especially when it comes to events, and she really exceeded my expectations. Pam is an absolute pleasure to work with, and has such great insight and ideas. My husband and I highly recommend her services. We can’t wait to work with her again for the big celebration! Thank you, Pam!

Pam was the first person I knew to call in planning our big day. Her amazing personality, always smiling eyes and fantastic ideas assured us we were going to be just fine. She works with all sorts of budgets, indecisive clients, and has wonderful relationships with local wedding vendors. We started our planning just six months before, and we managed to pull off the most magnificent event. The day of the wedding could not have been as smooth were it not for her expert coordination and attention to the smallest details. You just have to relinquish control, sit back and watch your fairytale dream day unfold. Call her today!!
