Events with Soul is a full service wedding planning and design company. We specialize in bringing your wedding inspiration pictures to life across every aspect of your wedding. I work to make sure that everything from your bouquet, centerpieces, stationery designs, and even your cake reflect the designs, colors, and feel you envision for your wedding day.
I will then work with all of your fantastic vendors to make sure that your wedding day runs as smoothly as possible and that every little detail, down to the champagne toast, is prepped and ready.

Jennifer and her Events with Soul team did an amazing job helping guide us through our Wedding in the Fall of 2021. We selected Jennifer to be our Wedding Planner in late 2020 and had her help with a few of our major wedding vendors, plan our big day, and be on-site at the venue seamlessly walking us through the wedding festivities. We had an early vision that Jennifer brought to life with a Boho, Rustic theme for a country wedding in Weston, MO. Her being available for unlimited calls, texts, video conferences leading up to the wedding helped us plan our big day from our home on the East Coast. She made sure we accounted for everything you could think of from major vendors like Catering and Floral all the way to little details like candle holders, champagne glasses, and envelope box. She didn't miss anything and it really made our Wedding day go by stress free. The best way to describe Jennifer is professional, detailed, to the point, creative, and she makes sure your day is all about you and you don't even have to think about anything besides having a good time. Pricing for her services is affordable and there's no way we could've had the Wedding we did without her help. We would highly recommend her to anyone considering a Event Planner for an upcoming Wedding/Event for anything from full planning to even just day of services.
We had a lot of different vendors involved with my daughters wedding. Jennifer was calm and organized during the entire process. While at the church it was reported that setting up the reception venue was not progressing. Jennifer very calmly said, let’s get this finished and I will make sure things are ready. When I arrived at the reception site, I attempted to jump in to help finish before the guests arrived. Jennifer said, trust me it will be ready. And it was. We received numerous comments from the guest and the bride was ecstatic that her vision was brought to life.
I was on the fence about hiring a wedding planner and family thought it was going to be a waste of money, but hiring Jennifer was 100% worth it. Jennifer is extremely on top of things, detailed, and able to work with last minute changes. We had a huge issue with our venue that came up just days before the wedding and she was our saving grace! I was on the verge of tears, ready to give up my vision on things, but she made it all happen. After the wedding was over our family couldn't stop raving about how much help our planner was and how beautiful, smooth, and problem free our wedding turned out to be. She truly goes above and beyond. If you're thinking about a planner, Jennifer is the one!
Jennifer was extremely helpful facilitating our big day. She helped remediate any issue that came up during our day and made it as stress free as possible. It's rare to find someone so hands on and detail oriented. She truly listens to everything you have to say and makes it happen. I can't recommend her enough!
Jennifer was so wonderful throughout the whole process. Highly recommend to every bride!! We hired her with the partial wedding planner package. She was wonderful in helping find the last 3 vendors (beauty and florist) and those vendors were excellent!
The week before we met with each vendor and she got all the details. Even was reassuring when a vendor had made an error and took the initiative to reach out to that vendor to make things right.
The day of she took care of everything and I was able to sit back and relax and enjoy my day!!! Couldn’t have done this without her!
Andrea and Jennifer were AMAZING and the BEST thing I did was hire them as my wedding coordinators! Seriously, if you're on the fence about hiring a coordinator, do your future self a favor and go ahead and book them as you won't regret it! My day was so much more enjoyable then I ever imagined as my mom, sister, and I didn't have to worry about a thing! Andrea and Jennifer have your best interests at heart and have your back throughout the entire process. I hired them for my day-of coordination and they went with me to all the last meetings with the DJ, florist, and venue.
Jennifer and Andrea are VERY accessible via email/text throughout the entire process and as soon as you hire them, they will answer any questions you have in a timely manner. Jennifer is very detailed oriented and excels at the timeline and reading over contracts/payments/budgets while Andrea is fantastic at the stationary and signage at the rehearsal dinner/ceremony/reception. They also have an amazing selection of decor and design items to rent for your big weekend! This takes away the stress of adding another vendor into the mix. They also beat any deal from other companies for the rentals to help the bride out. Jennifer and Andrea have the greatest personalities that work well with anyone! They were also fantastic in keeping the bridal party on task on my wedding day. Overall, they were amazing and you want them on your team for your big day!!
The ladies at Events with Soul were outstanding in their organization, knowledge, and poise to assist our wedding day needs. We used their day-of coordination services knowing that the day would go by so quickly, we didn't want to waste time being stressed or spouting logistics at other vendors. Andrea and Jennifer complement each other so well! Andrea has immense creative vision and she can match any bride-in my case, an indecisive and unsure one-but she found our style and executed everything perfectly. Andrea also designed the stationery for our invitation suite, hand lettered the envelopes, and made the church program, seating chart, and monogram for the reception. She is so talented at graphic design and listened to all our feedback throughout the process! Jennifer handled the technical side of organizing family for photos (not an easy task with parents and stepparents), creating our timeline, and communicating clearly with all vendors. She has a way of being polite yet firm to advocate for what the couple wants and gave us the best day! These two handled everything including transportation, centerpiece settings, steaming all dresses and bustling my dress, shuffling bridal party and siblings to the correct locations, serving us a plate of food and drinks throughout the night, helping clean up a guest's puke at the reception without me knowing, hearing a song play from my "do not play" list and immediately reconciling it, cleaning up the venue and getting gifts into cars, and being FUN to be around the whole day! I would highly recommend Events with Soul for coordination and stationery; it adds a personal touch to have custom designed paper products and it's an affordable way to have "insurance" on your day that things will go the way you want!
I can’t say a single negative thing about these ladies. They were absolutely amazing to work with. They were always timely with responding to questions and willing to make all of my wedding visions come true!
Andrea & Jennifer were the first vendors we hired for our wedding, and we are so glad we did! Not only did they help us with our day-of coordination, they helped us with budget management, finding vendors, event design, invitation design, floral arrangements, Photo Booth, access to their decor inventory, and were available via email and text for any questions we had. My husband, my parents, and I credit Andrea & Jennifer as the reason why our wedding planning was so smooth. As for our wedding day, Andrea & Jennifer were at our hotel early in the morning to help organize things before the wedding, then off to the venue to set up for our ceremony and reception, and were still at the venue long after my husband and I left to make sure everything was cleaned up and loaded into cars. We did have a few bumps in the road on our wedding day, but Jennifer handled everything wonderfully and did not stress us out by bringing us into it. Andrea did an amazing job from designing our save the dates and invitations, to creating a vision for our ceremony and reception that was perfection. I am not a creative or design savvy person, but all Andrea had to do was ask me what I did and did not like and she created the perfect mood board for us. What I love about this dynamic duo is Jennifer is the organizer and planner, and Andrea is the creative one that can make your wedding dreams a reality, and they work perfectly together. When my bridal party had met Andrea & Jennifer at our rehearsal, they were all impressed with their professionalism and efficiency. One of my bridesmaids even said she wished she had hired wedding planners like them when she got married! We have been planning with Events with Soul for our wedding for over a year and we (including my parents!) are sad that all the planning is over and we will be parting ways. I discovered Events with Soul on The Knot and after reading reviews and meeting with them in person, I knew that these ladies were the ones I wanted to help us plan our big day. My husband was reluctant to hiring wedding planners at first, but after meeting Andrea & Jennifer he was more open to the idea, and looking back he said he is so glad we did. I would recommend Events with Soul to any couple that is debating about hiring wedding planners, they are definitely worth it!
I cannot say enough about Jennifer and Andrea! We hired them as our day of coordinators for our wedding and they went above and beyond! Even though they were “day of coordinators” we met a few times before the big day and they put in several hours/days of work prior to our wedding. They were always easy to reach and offered quick responses.
The day of the wedding went without a hitch because of these two ladies! They did all of the behind the scenes stuff and helped me to be able to enjoy my day, stress free!
Again, there are not enough words to explain how wonderful Events with Soul is! I highly suggest hiring them for your wedding!!
If you are looking for wedding planners no need to look any further! They are amazing!!!! I have been to a couple of weddings and this made me realize even more how much they did for me on my special day. I could not imagine my day without them they helped make it the most perfect day of my life! Without them I would have been lost and not organized like it was! I can't thank them enough for everything!
I was so excited when my daughter announced that she was engaged. We did some online searches for the typical wedding things like venues, catering, etc. My head was already spinning. I had no idea what vendors to trust, what the going rate was for venues, food, and drink or how to calculate quantities needed. The best thing I did was tell my daughter to find a wedding planner! I was so passionate about wanting one that I paid for it myself...my gift to myself. She pushed back because she thought she could do it on her own...she wanted to do it on her own! To appease me she promised to meet with 3 different planners. The first two planners Lesa and Chris did not click with and they were ready to give up but, they had an appointment scheduled with Jennifer and Andrea and did not want to cancel at the last minute. After the meeting Lesa called me, she was excited to tell me her and Chris found their planners. Lesa felt like Jennifer and Andrea listened to them and what they envisioned for that day at the budget that we agreed upon. Chris loved working with Andrea and Jennifer because he felt like his voice was heard and all the things that were important to him were incorporated. The whole entire process was so awesome! We, the parents, got to enjoy the process of marrying off our kids without all the headaches of details. We made basic decisions while Andrea and Jennifer executed them. It was amazing to see how hard these ladies work to give you the wedding that you envisioned. Skeptical? Give them a call and meet for coffee, you will not be dissapointed.
So, I may be pretty partial since Andrea is my sister and I’ve known Jennifer for several years, but these girls go above and beyond. My sister was in my wedding and she still made sure everything was perfect. Jennifer coordinated wonderfully with my hectic family and my husbands family of 18 not including grandparents.
These ladies put in an insane amount of time and detail into every single one’s wedding. I’ve seen it first hand. I’ve worked a few weddings with them for their photo booth and have seen them behind the scene and was speechless.
I cannot thank them enough for making the big day feel like a big day. I still remember that I had strained my knees, but had bought heels and I was DREDDING it! Jennifer told me to take them off and wear comfortable shoes because the last thing I want is to be focusing on the pain. I could not have appreciated that more.

Hire them!!! You won’t regret it I promise!!
The only regret I have is not hiring them the day my daughter got engaged!! They are amazing to work and made my daughter's wedding day stress free and run extremely smoothly. They are both extremely talented at what they do and go above and beyond to make sure you get what you want, but will give you their opinion based off of their experiences what works best. They have catering experience and graphic design experience so really can give valuable input into those area's. Also, they made the entire bridal party feel comfortable and know everyone is in good hands with them their directing the vendors and the wedding party. They were a dream to work with and extremely reasonable price wise compared to other wedding planners. So thankful and blessed to find them and when our next daughter gets engaged you will by our first phone call. Your biggest mistake would be not hiring them for your wedding!!
We were so pleased with Jennifer & Andrea!! When we got engaged we were actually living in Lexington, KY so we were wanting someone to help us coordinate everything in KC since we weren't even living in the state. Jennifer & Andrea were great from the beginning. They helped us organize all of the vendors and they got everything arranged for us. I gave them some pictures of what I was wanting for our wedding and they went above and beyond what we could have dreamed of. My father passed away a few weeks before our wedding and they were there every step of the way and told us not to worry about anything because they would handle everything, and that they did! The day of our wedding went so smooth and they did everything for us, so we did not have to worry about anything. The decorations were absolutely beautiful and many of our guests told us that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to! We would not have been able to do it all without their help. I would recommend them to any newly engaged couple and I promise you will not be disappointed!
I cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about Events with Soul! We hired Jennifer & Andrea for the full event coordinating and I’m so glad we did! From finding the perfect vendors that fit our budget to handle ALL the meetings. I promise if you show Andrea & Jennifer your vision for you wedding, give them your budget and then let them handle the rest, you will get exactly what you envisioned and then some! Not only was our planning process smooth but the day of was INCREDIBLE. Not only was our day stress free for my husband and I but for our families & wedding party too. They made sure that all of us got to sit back and really take the entire day in and enjoy every minute. My vision, print work, timeline, flowers, centerpieces and day would not have been half as perfect with these two ladies. Thank you ladies so much!!!
Just a little side story in case you are on the fence about hiring a wedding coordinator… The day I booked my venue the lady asked me if I was planning on hiring a coordinator at all, I was undecided at the time. She proceeded to tell me that she had just sat on a panel with 10 different brides to ask them various questions and the last question was, “If you could go back and change one thing about your wedding, what would it be?” All of the brides answered the same with hiring a wedding coordinator, whether it be the day of, month of or the full time! this was the best advice I received through the whole planning processes! You can’t go wrong with Events with Soul!
Andrea and Jennifer were awesome at my daughter's wedding this past weekend. They did everything possible to make the day run smoothly so we could enjoy it and not be stressed. We were also very pleased with the wedding programs that Andrea did for us. I would highly recommend them for your coordinators, decorations and programs and invites. They work extremely hard to make it The Best Day Ever!
We were so thankful to have Jennifer and Andrea there to help us on our wedding day, taking care of us and relieving us of our stress. We felt the girls went above and beyond and we really grateful for that. From our experience/process of our wedding planning and day coordinating , I would tell all to be married couples for sure to have someone like them to be there for advices and make sure everything go smoothly as planned, especially on the wedding day. My husband and i are highly recommend this amazing team to anyone who is getting married.
We had Events with Soul do so much for our wedding and we couldn't imagine our what our wedding would've been like without them!! I can not say enough about these wedding coordinators. They are the best & very professional. They can do everything you will need. They designed our wedding programs. They also decorated the clubhouse where we had our reception. They also had beautiful place settings for every guest. That night and after everyone praised the decorations and how well planned out the ceremony & reception were. Anything you need, they will help with. They worked very well with other vendors, even when some of the other vendors were difficult to work with. Andrea & Jennifer Hougland are awesome. We couldn't have asked for anyone better & they are so reasonably priced. We highly recommend them!! They made our night magical & one we will remember forever!! :)
I can not tell you enough how thankful we are for Soul Press. Originally, my husband and I were not going to hire coordinators as I thought that a 2 year long engagement was enough time for me to plan the wedding myself. After discussing the idea, we thought we would give meeting the girls in person a chance. We were immediately blown away! The girls were so organized and brought up ideas that I hadn’t ever thought of (or pinned)! All three girls have been married themselves and have experience with the planning process. We met with them several times throughout the planning process and I was in constant communication with them. They were so great at answering any questions I had within no time. The girls made sure to get in touch with all of our vendors and ironed out all of the details, meeting times, etc. We had troubles with our venue and our photographer backing out the night before our wedding and these girls simply replied to me “go home, take a bubble bath, and enjoy your night”. Upon arriving at our venue the day of the wedding, the girls had hired not one, but two additional photographers to make sure our day was captured beautifully. I HIGHLY recommend these two photographers as well (they were great J). When arriving to our bridal suite and grooms suite in the venue, the girls had surprised us with a champagne bar and snacks along with a mini bar and beer for the boys, how thoughtful! Since we weren’t allowed access to the building until the morning of the wedding, the girls all decorated and set everything up beautifully (ask them about their stock of GORGEOUS vintage decorations). The girls even did the clean-up for us so after the wedding we headed off and arrived into our hotel room with all of our wedding gifts waiting for us! If you are even slightly considering a coordinator for your big day, DO IT, and do it with these girls! They are reasonably priced and offer so much more than you could ask for. From sketchy venues and photographers to drunken bridal party members, these girls can handle anything!
I cannot say enough about our day-of wedding coordination from Events with Soul. Our wedding day was beautiful and so easy thanks to the Events with Soul team. The team decorated both our ceremony and reception venues using my decorations and details they supplied for us. I only checked in with them once in the morning -- they reassured me everything was under control and sent me on my way! They handled everything on our wedding day from helping with travel to vendor communications to payments and even stayed after the reception to clean up, allowing me, my new husband and our families to continue celebrating without worry. Andrea also designed our invitation suite, our programs, and other paper details that made the wedding really come together. I cannot imagine how we would have survived the wedding without their coordination, and it was infinitely more beautiful thanks to their decorating. I highly recommend the Events with Soul team for your wedding day coordination!
