Everything was perfect! From photos to the video to the ceremony. Janet, the minister, she’s very great. Very professional and said very kind and genuine words. Jessika, the day-of-coordinator, and Victoria, the online-coordinator, were also great and very funny! Paul the photographer took great Candids! We bought the copyrights to all photos and took them home with us. The only issue I had was trying to contact the office for instructions on where I was to go and how early I was to arrive if I didn’t want my guests to see me before the ceremony.
We just went to Vegas and got married at the Tropicana. The ladies were amazing and SO thoughtful. I would recommend it to anyone. We also got a Groupon for the ceremony.
Made our day very special.
The Arbor, early evening, is the spot if you're looking for a small, intimate wedding. Gorgeous garden around with perfect lighting. Staff was helpful throughout the entire process of planning. From start to finish was perfect!!
The Havana room is the BEST place to get married in Vegas!!! Everyone was phenomenal! The food! The desserts! The venue! Everything was PERFECT!
We enjoyed the overall experience and thought the coordinator did great for the fact that she didn’t meet us until the day before. The photographer was amazing and everyone was nice. Cost was good. We were told that we would have live stream, which was offered at their location, but that was a mix up, isn’t wasn’t the coordinator that told us but the booking agent. The only reason I give them three stars was paying for a photo package to have 40 or so photos from our day selected, only to be told that we aren’t able to post them anywhere or make copies and that in order to do a single dang thing with them....unless we paid $1,000 to own the rights to all. This was completely undisclosed to us and we felt very side swiped by it. It was extremely upsetting and I wouldn’t recommend them do to that.
I had the absolute best experience with Tropicana LV Weddings! I honestly did not have to worry about a THING. I never thought I would be able to plan a west coast wedding from the east coast. Their packages are so reasonable and they were more than accommodating with any and all our special requests. Their staff was personable, responsive, kind, energetic and just on top of it!! I cannot thank them enough. Best experience ever!!
It is unfortunate that the memories of our special day have been scared by the team at Tropicana Weddings. This is obviously just a revenue stream for the hotel, and the least of their concerns is the happiness of bride and groom. We have been emailing and calling various people regarding this and have been ignored. We received one return phone call, from the hotel's F&B manager, in which we received an apology and were told someone would reach back out to us once they had a chance to talk to the wedding chapel. That was two weeks ago, and we have still not heard from any one at the chapel.
Some of the issues we had: our menu for the reception was completely changed 6 days before the wedding, the cake we ordered was not the one that was presented to us, there was no knife to cut the cake nor could we get a staff member to get one, the bars ran out of white wine (IDK how that's possible in a hotel), dirty and unpolished glassware, gift bags for guests were not put out per our request, one of our guests had to save our guest book from the trash as the staff had thrown it away, and our wheel chair bound granny with cancer was harassed by staff to the point where she was so distraught that she left. The icing on all of this was the following day. Still reeling from a sub-par experience we went to go look at our photos and found out that even though we had requested the rights and ownership to all of our photos, it was never included in our package. This stuck us with an $800 surprise bill! So until that is paid off we won't even have our wedding photos!
The venue was amazing ! THE PLANNING VERY EASY!! THE VENUE IS ALSO AMAZINGLY PRICED!!
We planned our wedding from Arizona, and it was simple to do via email. We planned a weeding in the courtyard that was beautiful, and reception in the Beach Cafe. The staff was good and the food was excellent. I do wish we had been given a server for drink orders rather than everyone having to walk up to the bar for cocktails. The wedding planner was not the one I'd been working with but she was helpful and very nice. They do get you with add tons, and I didn't like that. You cannot bring in any of your own flowers, and theirs are very pricy. The photographer was another thing I didn't like. We were not allowed photos during the ceremony while he took pictures, and we were expected to give him a sizeable tip. We didn't even need him as we had our own photographer. We got the email to view the photos. 14 4x6 prints with the package. 4x6? Is that even acceptable for wedding photos? Oh, and by the way...$40 to send them to us. Shipping cost? Really? No thanks. Overall good experience but send the photographer away post haste and take your own photos.
We selected Tropicana LV Weddings because their packages were affordable and we loved the court yard area for our wedding ceremony of 50 guest. However now we regret going with this venue, if I would have known that my wedding day was going to be ruined I would have paid an extra $1,000 and gone with Mandalay Bay or Venetian for their great customer service and attention to detail.
The planning of the wedding ceremony was great, simple and seamless, so it seemed. However, the day of the wedding everything seemed to rushed. We provided the entrance song as they requested and when it came time for me, the bride to walk down the isle the song was over, the person incharge of the video and sound wasnt capable of clicking "play" on the ipod because they didnt want to risk any errors in the video, so I'm extecting the video to be FLAWLESS. My entrance was akward, just silence and everyone looking around waiting for music to play......This is the momnet every Bride dreams of, walking down the isle to the perfect song, that is the hightlight of the bride something she will always remember, any my moment is akward silence, nervous looks and dissapointment.... After the ceremony, after signing a few documents, we were rushed to take photos our one on one session wasnt long, maybe about 15 mins, then rushed to get the limo. We didnt even have time to greet and take pics with our family, we would have skipped the limo we we would have known we werent going to have time to greet our guests. And to top things off, multiple guests told us that there were beer bottles, cups and trash on the floor if the ceremony area, that was so embarrasing to hear. Of course we brought it up to the staff the day after the wedding and all we got was, we do the best we can...HORRIBLE response, if your in the business of coordinating one of the most important/special day in a persons' life you have to do more than "we do the best we can." You have to offer great customer service, staff that can multi-task and know how to improvise in any situation, and most importantly attention to detail, be able to keep the venu/area clean/spotless and presentable.
I spoke to several venues in Las Vegas a few days after my wedding and each person told me how they prepare in advance to make sure the bride walks in to MUSIC, they time the song, the whole entrance including the wedding party/flower girl/ring bearer/parents and make sure the song is playing properly. They close off the area of the ceremony before and make sure it is free of trash. And most importantly they make sure the customers leave happy, and try to make up for/take responsibility for any unforseen errors.
My FH and I are in the process of planning our October Wedding here. While every one I have spoken to has been extremely friendly, please make sure you get everything in writing! I called before we booked to discuss what types of add-ons we should expect for the package we selected. I was told that our package was one of the better options and as expected the only likely add-ons would come from photography and flowers, no surprise there. However, I only found out from reading other reviews that the arch seen in all pictures is a $150- $200 charge depending on whether or not you want the fabric. Of course, this is mentioned no where in the product options. Lastly, if you want t0 upgrade to the chiavari chairs, it is $10 per chair, with no credit from the white chairs originally included. So while this venue appears to be a more affordable Las Vegas option, it adds up fast.
I just had my wedding here last week. I live in Canada so it was done by email. The emailing back and forth was ok, I think a few important details were left out until last minute like the time I needed to be there and that you needed to make an appointment to view your photos right after the wedding.
One thing I wasn't told until I literally stepped off the isle with my husband is that they want the tip for the limo and photographer right then and there. They hand you envelopes that require a mandatory tip of $50 & $90. I only brought enough cash to pay and tip the people I knew about in advance so I said I would pay with credit card when I go for the photo viewing. I also got an email reminding me about the tips the next morning. I had an appointment the next morning to view the photos, the limo scheduled to pick me up never came. I got a taxi and when I arrived to view the photos, I didn't know what I was getting into. I had to go through 700 photos and select the ones to print and wait for them to be printed. I couldn't wait a couple hours for that because I had plans, my dad had to pick them up for me. He didn't know about the tip and they wouldn't give him the photos until he paid them the tips.
I just got home and checked out the photos and video. The photos are ok, standard wedding posing, kind of a lot of the same shots. The video however is HORRIBLE. It's burry, has a weird glow, there is dust and dirt on the lens and the audio is terrible. I'm glad I hired an outside videographer, hopefully his work is better (however he couldn't film the ceremony so that's lost).
They could have definitely been more clear about what is expected and I wish I had some better video/photo memories at the end of it all. They also made sure to hand me a promo card to give to others for $50 of their wedding - right after our vows.
They were amazing! My day was just as I pictured! Photography was a little rushed and they didn't say you may now kiss the bride. However we had our first dance during our ceremony sonthat may have thrown the officiant off.
Headline: ceremony was great, but for the love of god, do not go through them to plan your reception. I got a ceremony & reception package. After the ceremony ended we were waiting awhile for the limo's to arrive to take us to the reception, eventually one limo showed up and we had to wait an addition 10-15 minutes for the second limo to show. It just felt a little disjointed. The thing that made me the most angry, was when we arrived at the reception at Bucca di Beppo, we found we were set-up in the middle of the restaurant. There was even a table of men eating near our wedding party. I had requested through my coordinator that space be left for dancing (as there was no true dance floor) and no space was made available. When I raised this complaint to my wedding planner at the Tropicana after the reception, I was told that they "can pass along requests, but can't control what the venue decides to do or not do". Why use a service to plan reception for you if the venue is so out of their control? When it came time to discuss how we ended up in the middle of the restaurant, I was told the "Cardinal Room" at Bucca di Beppo was "open" and that this had been discussed with me, it certainly had not, and I know I would remember being told our reception would not be in a private room. Looking back through all my emails this wasn't described anywhere in writing or on my account. If booking a room for a private event one would expect the room is private, right? While booking the reception with my planner/coordinator I was told "other parties" had been booked in rooms next to us so we'd need to get the DJ approved through the venue. I was thinking "are the walls paper thin?" additionally, thinking there were "other parties" so I paid extra to have a bar set-up so guests didn't have to wait for drinks. Well, since we were in the middle of the restaurant, we were right next to the bar, and there were no other parties booked at the same time as us. I felt manipulated and lied to, that the Tropicana told me what I wanted to hear so I'd approve them booking our reception. They literally label that space in the middle of the restaurant the "Cardinal Room" when there are no walls, or a door. I could have just shown up to the restaurant and requested dinner for me and 30 of my friends. The worst part? The Tropicana labeled the whole thing a "misunderstanding", there was no written communication that the reception would be in an "open area", and they repeatedly referred to the reception as a "room" which was extremely misleading. I'm extremely upset I paid as much as I did for that reception, and even bought add-ons thinking we were going to be in a private room. What a joke.
We planned our wedding from a distance all online and had no issues. The staff is responsive and accommodating. We got married in the Island Chapel and it was simple and wonderful with an Island flair. Our minister Charlotte was fantastic and took the time to really listen. The photographer took time after the wedding to bring us around outside near the chapel and took some fantastic photographs. Only issue we had was picking those out, no one seemed to know what was going on and where we went to do that. Once we got there Jose was really great.
The TropLV was a great place to get married. They made planning easy and the venue was beautiful. The pictures were amazing!
Olivia and all of her staff were just outstanding at our wedding at the Havana Room at the Tropicana Hotel. The venue was just absolutely stunning and was perfect for our crowd of almost 120 (it can seat more). The food was INSANE. ALL of our guests kept telling us how amazing the food was - they made a gluten free lasagna that was INSANE it was so good and no one could even tell!! They accommodated everything I needed gluten free. Everyone loved our venue and could not say enough good things about it!! I wish we could do it all over again!!
The wedding coordinators at the Tropicana are amazing! Olivia coordinated with me through email and together we were able to plan my entire wedding online. I have never been to Las Vegas and the fact that I was planning for my wedding made me a bit nervous, but Olivia set me at ease. She was able to accommodate my every request answered all my questions, even though most trivial questions immediately. I even requested a time change after I signed the contract and she was able to accommodate my request with no problem at all. I arrived to Las Vegas the day before and Angelica met with me to show me the venue and answer any last minute questions I had. The day of my wedding Katie and Angelica took care of everything to make sure that my ceremony was perfect, down to my weird request of wanting to start a song at a certain time mark. This was also the first day I saw my wedding bouquet. I requested to bring my own peacock feathers and other bouquet embellishments and they offered to place them in my bouquet for me! The flowers turned out perfect.
Naturally I was so worried about things going wrong at my wedding day, especially since it was going to be in a location I have never been nor seen. Not only will I always recommend Vegas to get married but I will always recommend Tropicana for the venue. If you want extremely attentive, responsive, and friendly wedding coordinators this is the place to be. The ladies took care of everything, all I had to do was show up. My wedding day was perfect and beautiful and I couldn't have done it without their help.
Even tho it was a extremely hot day, I couldn't ask for a more perfect wedding than the one the tropicana provided. Olivia was incredibly helpful with all the preparations leading up to the wedding including answering all of my hundred emails rapidly. Angelica and Olivia made sure everything we had asked for was on point for our special day. If there is a doubt for anyone choosing a venue let this review be ur guide and use tropicana Las Vegas.
Anyone considering getting Married at The Tropicana - say I do!
Our wedding day was perfect. Katie and her team were amazing. They were so sweet and helpful, and calming. We had a truly magical day and it couldn’t have been better. It wasn’t just the venue that made it so perfect, it really was Katie, Olivia and Angelica. Such fab girls.
Our flowers were absolutely stunning, so so beautiful. I also had my hair and nails done at Glow – also perfect. Our Minister was absolutely lovely too. A very warm and kind lady.
I can’t speak highly enough of our perfect Wedding Day at the Wedding Chapel at the Tropicana.
We had our wedding at White Island Chapel, On 8/30/2014. It was amazing, beautiful and so much more. Katie and Olivia we were great and quick to answer my questions. Even when i would ask about flowers over and over again. I ended up bringing my own fresh flowers myself, they were okay with that, and set it up for me. All the packages are wonderful, we got one of the middle packages for a great deal, and included a photographer. I didnt have my reception here but if i did im sure it would have been great to... I must say pick this chapel is modern, white and romantic not a usual chapels on the strip and a great value. I would suggest checking this out before going for another chapel on the strip that cost way to much. -Ashely xoxo
My husband surprised me for our 15th anniversary with a vow renewal ceremony. It was a beautiful event and everyone was great at the Trop!
Amazing venue! We had a small wedding at the Island chapel at Tropicana with about 35 guests and it was simple. We were very pleased with the amazing service we received from Katie and Olivia as they were so great with communicating before the wedding since we were in Alabama and they were in Vegas and then they made sure everything was just perfect for the big day! Could not have asked for a more perfect ceremony! Had a perfect wedding with great photography, videography, and the minister was perfect as well!!!
I would like to say thank you to the Tropicana Las Vegas, NV!! You did an amazing job with my wedding ceremony and reception. Everything turned out beautiful and amazing!! I couldn't have asked for more! The food was great, service was great and the Havana Room was amazing for our reception. So beautiful! Everything ran smoothly and we have no complaints. I would definitely recommend our friends and family to use your services! Thanks for an amazing day!!
the chapel was just beautiful inside and out. The grounds were well kept and the outside was pretty all around. Everyone was beyond helpful and professional. we planned everything Texas and they were so quick to respond to my many emails, sent pictures of everything when I needed it and aided me in so many ways. they made my experience as a bride wonderful and we were so happy with how everything turned out.
We were married on 5/17 at The Tropicana. Our ceremony took place at the Garden Courtyard and our Reception took place at The Tropicana Pool in the Palms area.
CEREMONY
Our ceremony was lovely and our coordinator, Katie Sinnett, was incredible to work with. She's super responsive, enthusiastic and makes you feel as though you're the only wedding she's working on throughout the whole process. The ceremony was short and lovely and our flowers were gorgeous! If this was just a ceremony review it'd be a 5/5.
RECEPTION
We loved loved loved our reception location! We had looked at other places where we could have an outdoor reception and they all had ridiculous food and beverage minimums or rental fees. The Tropicana was affordable and willing to work with us on the location and details. Our coordinator for the reception was Leah Abbs. While Leah was always very friendly, she was sometimes hard to get a hold of or took a while to respond to questions. As we got closer to the wedding, our communication did improve. We also got a nice note from Leah when she sent the final bill, but you could tell she's just really busy, which I understand, but our overall experience in planning our reception just wasn't the same as it was planning our ceremony, and despite us hiring a day of coordinator, Katie was at our ceremony and we did not see Leah at our reception. It didn't ruin our day or anything, but I wanted to share an honest review of our experience.
Moving on – the food at The Tropicana was incredible!! Seriously delish. We got tons of compliments and everyone ate a lot. We also did our bar by consumption and the alcohol prices were extremely reasonable.
OVERALL
We'd have our wedding and reception here again in a heartbeat. Our day was fun, simple and very "us" and we thank The Tropicana for all they did to make that happen.
I have to express my sincere appreciation to Katie Sinette (wedding coordinator) and Leah Abbs (catering manager). I had my wedding here in May and my wedding went beyond my expectation. Katie was very helpful and attentive. She made me feel like I am the only bride, although I know that's not the case I saw multiple wedding/vow renewal on the daily event board. Katie makes the whole process easy and classy.
My wedding was small (we have 22 guests), we had the ceremony at the Arbor, it was gorgeous, the pictures turned out so beautifully. The pictures on their website do not do the justice of how beautiful the venue actually is. It was very good value as well. I have done some research and the price is fair and I definitely get first class treatment without paying first class price. The food was amazing, all my guests were raving about it. Everyone had a wonderful time.
Katie and Leah were very accommodating, they even allow me to bring my own decorations so that way I can save some money. I have encountered other Tropicana staff during the planning process, they have always answered my questions promptly and very welcoming. I couldn't thank them enough for the pleasant experience. I highly recommend this hotel if you are planning to have your wedding in Vegas. They truly made my day extra special.
I am so glad I found Tropicana when I was looking for wedding venues in Vegas.
I chose Tropicana because of the beautiful Havana Room and how helpful the wedding planners, Katie and Trish were when we met the first time.
They had good ideas and were willing to make the wedding anyway I envisioned it.
The pricing at Tropicana was very reasonable as well.
I spent around $15,000 for ceremony package including photographer and pictures, the Havana Room rental, Sit down dinner with wonderful beef filet or snapper.
We also had open bar for 3 hours.
The chapel is cute and intimate for weddings.
I surprised my husband and had my brother dress as Elvis and perform the ceremony.
I swear there was a big smile on everyone's face.
The Tropicana wedding officiate was there to make it legal and the coordinator made sure Elvis was hidden before the wedding to make a grand entrance.
There were plenty of beautiful places outdoors to take pictures and the photographer Courtney was super. I recommend breaking tradition and taking pictures like 1-2 hours before the wedding. It saves the time you would miss enjoying cocktail hour with your guests. I felt the pricing for the photos were very reasonable and they had items ready to leave with you the next day.
I can not say enough about the beauty of the Havana Room. It made me feel like a princess because the room features a huge chandelier in the middle of the room. It really impressed my guests.
My guest raved about the beef and said it was so juicy and tender. I had never tried snapper before and I loved it.
I requested a special penguin bride/groom topper that I had seen online and sent baker a picture. The cost to make it was so low and it was like a "cake boss" type of décor.
I was allowed to bring in my own candy table which is always a hit at weddings.
The Tropicana Lounge was great for after the wedding and had awesome, free entertainment.
I loved the Club Suite we booked for our stay - roomy, bar to entertain guests....
Our wedding couldnt have gone any better, other than hitting a jackpot in the casino! The staff at the Tropicana were great to work with, organized, extremely helpful, and cared how things turned out. I would recommend this venue for anyone looking for a beautiful venue without spending a ridiculous amount of money. The catering staff were fantastic and prices are tough to beat for the quality. Trust me, if you book through the Trop, you will not be disappointed! My wife and I would do it again tomorrow!
craig from CO
I got married here on 9/13/13 and everything was fantastic. I wish I could do it again just so I can spend time with these people again. I was a princess that day because of all of them
They made our day perfect. There are not enough words to describe how perfect and special they made our day. Can not wait to go back for 1st anniversary.
I don't usually give all perfect scores via internet ratings because I beleive there is always room to be better. However, in this case, everything was absolutely perfect! We selected the "Storybook Elegance" package and from start to finish, the Tropicana did a fabulous job with our wedding! We literally had 1 week to plan our wedding and began our daunting task to try to find the right venue for our special day. We wanted an outdoor venue that had waterfalls and ncie scenery...done! We got connected to Katie Sinnett, who orchestrated everything for us. When there were items in the package that we weren't going to use, Katie contacted me and gave us "replacements," which worked out perfectly. We even decided to change the venue for the wedding at the last minute and she was able to make sure that we had the ceremony where we wanted. Janet (forget her last name) was our minister and she was also great. It was a quick 15 minute ceremony, which was perfect since it was 105 that day and we were outside in the courtyard. We had a videographer and photographer through Cashman Professional Photography and were very pleased with there service. Ty was our Photographer and was great to work with. He was very personable and fun and took amazing photos!
So all in all, this was the best weekend of my life. Obviously since I married the girl of my dreams and also that the Tropicana made it a special day to remember.
beautiful background, smaller, quieter, cleaner casino. My dress did not get dirty here! One of the last original "old strip" casinos. Just underwent a wonderful remodel, reasonable room pricing.
We had a small wedding in Las Vegas and decided to stay in a suite while at the Tropicana in hopes of having our reception there. We only had about 20 guests and were looking to save on costs and have a little get together in our room. We booked a Paradise Suite and to our surprise we had plenty of room for everyone! The night before the wedding we called up guest services and asked for a few more single serve keurig coffees. About 5 minutes later there was a guy at the door with about 10 mini bottles of water, more coffee, cups and sugars/stir sticks for us. The front desk staff was very accommodating and would tell us congrats any time we called with questions. The room was beautiful and had plenty of seating and table space for everyone. The reception was all we were hoping for and the room was a great price!
Living in New Jersey, I was prepared for some hectic planning for a wedding in Las Vegas. Boy was I mistaken! From the very first email I recieved, Victoria and her crew were AMAZING. I didn't have to worry about a thing!
Upon arrival, our names were on the Trop's billboard and we were treated like gold! The ceremony was fabulous and they were able to accomidate all of our requests to ensure the day was "us" and exactly as we wanted.
Our post ceremony dinner was at Biscayne, which is a restaurant in the Tropicana. It was PHENOMENAL! Food was delicious and the service was great too! The best part of dinner was the cake! It was made by the in house pastry chef. I wished for a giant slice my entire plane ride home.
If you are considering a Vegas wedding, definitely check out the Trop!
I had both my wedding and reception at the Tropicana and since thet have been going through a major remodel there were no recent reviews. I went in praying all would go smooth and i couldn't be happier! They are by far the best value for packages and what you get. Also they have beautiful gardens throughout the grounds that look beautiful in my pictures. All my guests were pleasantly surprised as none had stayed there in the past. All my guests say they would return and stay there. The remodel looks great and i cant wait to go back for our anniversary!
They were very accomidating to us. They even moved us up to a suit just because we got married!!! Any questions I had they were right there with the right answer!! Love them!!!
Great place to have drinks and dance
My guests were very pleased
It was inside the hotel, technically it was a back area of one of the restaurants. I loved how wonderful the staff was and how easy they made it for us to come in from the ceremony.;Be aware that even though your eating area will be blocked off, any restaurant patrons will still be able to eat close to you.
