Our experience with Sarah was very lackluster. Our wedding was beautiful and our guests had a great time, but it was more thanks to my bridesmaids/family than to anyone else. We hardly heard from Sarah throughout the year ahead of our wedding. When we did talk with her, she claimed she had all of our details on a different computer, so would repeatedly ask us the same questions (concerning). We had to contract all of our other vendors without her help. On the day of our wedding, she didn’t even come get me (the bride) when it was time to walk down the aisle. She just expected me to know it was time. During our rehearsal, my sister had to jump in and go over all of the important parts with us since we were not told anything to do. We never even heard from her the day after our wedding. I would steer clear of this wedding planner and save your money.
I never write reviews but Sarah at Everlasting Events was a waste of money and I want to help future brides/grooms from making the same mistake we did. Sarah was supposed to set up and take down our decor, which was in her job description. First, she didn’t even have all our stuff that I had labeled set up until right before the wedding and was talking to her assistant/texting instead of making sure everything was done. Then she had “packed” all our decor back up but we were missing all of our centerpieces, our arch flowers, and our cake toppers/extra cake. We had 50 people at our wedding and purchased a bigger cake to feed 70 people for leftovers and she did not have our cake packed up at the end of the night and I lost my cake toppers, one I had custom made of my dog. When contacting her about this the day after the wedding, she never answered and I never got anything back or any cake. It felt like once she had our money, which was a lot for the little that she did, she disappeared. We had our wedding at the Hilton Beachfront Resort & Spa and her company was recommended by the hotel which is why we booked her but she should not be recommended at all and we had told the hotel this for future weddings. Overall, our wedding was beautiful and all our vendors were amazing but we could have done everything ourselves without Sarah and it would have been done correctly, and have saved a lot of money. We also had only booked her for the day of the wedding so that’s all she had to take care of.

I HAVE RECEIPTS
Giving this woman 1 star is even too high for her, considering after we paid her our $2500 deposit, she did literally nothing and disappeared. We hired this individual for her full services, Wedding Coordination, and Floral, and we were played for a fool by her. We met with her virtually a few times as we were an out-of-state couple back at the beginning of August.
Within the last few months, she has done nothing and quickly ran off with our deposit, providing no resolution or explanation. She appeared to have decided to go even further and block my fiance's phone numbers and social media pages as we began our search for her. Our last interaction with her was in early September after multiple attempts were made back in August. In that previous interaction, she claimed she was in a car accident and that she would get back to us. SHE NEVER DID, even after multiple attempts and even getting our lawyer involved. Before anyone tries to give her credit and thinks she is telling the truth about her medical issues... she has been found out. My fiance reached out to her about hiring her for her services using another name and Google voice number to see if she in fact is a fraud, and she fell right into this trap, responded immediately, and tried selling us on the same package we already have with her. To boot, on her personal IG page she is showing off her cross-fit posts showing how healthy she in fact is.
Sarah Wright, you are a woman and a vet-owned business. SHAME ON YOU!!! You are supposed to be providing couples with peace of mind when you are hired. You promised that many times on our initial calls with you. As for your contract with us, I'd like to let you know that you are in breach of our contract, and I can only assume many more couples from the looks of your ratings on this site.
You should be ashamed of what you have done, taking people's money and thinking you can get away with it. As we have stated, I am lawyered up and have complete faith in my legal right to file what I can civilly and criminally to get my money back from you.
*Side note: she has many different businesses and seems to have a few other LLCs DO YOUR HOMEWORK people. Look up the address she supplies on your contract because it is a UPS store, even without a PO Box number.
I wish I could reach out to all the other couples who have been wronged by her and let them know they are not alone, and I am sorry they, too, have been going through this. The wedding industry is tight, so Sarah, you will be found out, and I believe you won't be able to continue this harmful and illegal behavior.
I hired Sarah a couple months ago. I paid the first payment of a couple thousand dollars, and then she completely ghosted me. Stay away from this fraudulent person…
We regret choosing Sarah as our wedding planner. Her absence on our wedding day was a huge letdown. Despite seeing her the night before, she failed to inform us that she wouldn't be attending, leaving her assistant (who tried her best given the circumstances) — with whom we’d had little-to-no communication — to manage things, resulting in a lack of coordination and mishaps like starting the cake cutting without the bride.
Throughout the planning process, Sarah's lack of attention to detail and clarity added unnecessary stress. We often found ourselves uncertain about what tasks she was handling and what she expected from us, leading to multiple follow-ups to even get a straight answer from her.
Moreover, Sarah's claim of offering flowers at “market rate” was misleading at best. The prices she charged were significantly higher than other vendors (~25%+ more expensive), making her supposed floral credit meaningless.
Lastly, she never even followed up with us after our wedding to see how the event went, but I suppose that we should've expected this given her lack of communication and consideration throughout the process.
While we appreciate her efforts, Sarah's overall lack of organization and communication made our wedding experience less enjoyable than it should have been. Your special day deserves better than her.
Plain and simple. She made wedding planning harder.
Sarah broke a light I paid 200$ for and then pretended not too (my step dad saw her drop it and when she asked why it was not working he told her she dropped it and she acted like she had no idea what he was talking about).
I didn’t hear from her ONCE on my wedding day, or really anyday leading up to the wedding unless I texted her. I basically had to put everything on a. silver platter and hand it to her to get her to do anything.
She was on her phone 80% of the wedding night, didn’t even put out some of the decor that was intended for the wedding. She even told a guest he needed to put his gift in his car because it was TOO BIG! WHAT?!
I was told 3 days before the wedding she will need help breaking it down (she ended up not lifting a finger).
I had family go help her set up because she acted like her job was not her job.
Horrible, horrible experience. I should have broken the contract but I was trying to give her the benefit of the doubt because as she said “she can plan a wedding in her sleep.”
I didn’t let it ruin my night or any of my wedding happiness, but it’s been a month now and I felt obligated to leave this review in hopes it will help others to not waste thousands of dollars like my husband and I sadly did.
We hired Sarah for a full-planning service, and after only a couple months in, we ended our contract with her. My fiance and I wish we had read some honest reviews before deciding to hire her.
From the start, Sarah wasn't the easiest to communicate with. Her response times were long, and we found ourselves having to ask multiple times for information we were looking for. Each vendor that needed booked, we did a lot of our own research to find options. She never seemed to have a list of vendors ready at hand to send us. Multiple times she told us she would look into vendors for us, but we never heard anything until we had to follow up again. We were paying for the full-planning service, but found ourselves doing a lot of the work. She seemed disorganized, claiming that emails must have gotten lost in her inbox, and in one instance, she even gave one of our vendors the wrong date of our wedding. All of this felt extremely unprofessional to us, therefore we decided to address our specific concerns with her, with hopes that we could work better together moving forward. After addressing our concerns, she became defensive and tried to justify each issue we had encountered with her. It began to feel that our wedding planning was becoming more and more frustrating because of the poor service. This is what ultimately lead to us breaking the contract with her. My hope in writing this review is to save another bride from the frustration (and waste of money) that my fiance and I endured.
BEST DAY EVER! Thank you Sarah for perfectly planning & executing my special day. You were an absolute delight to work with, and I will remember my day forever!
Sarah & her team are amazing and highly recommended. Sarah held my hand from the very beginning and helped me with everything., My wedding was beautiful, fun, and exactly what I wanted. They did the floral & decor too and it was gorgeous.
On wedding day, they were very accommodating and did an awesome job at keeping everything on track and everyone happy. Hire Sarah, and you won't regret it!
