Maria was absolutely amazing to work with. I wasn’t sure if I was going to hire a day of coordinator… Maria was well worth it! Not only did Maria walk me through everything she kept my day organized, on time, and stress free! She was so easy to work with and professional. I had such an amazing day! She is your girl, hire her!
The attention to detail, the calming presence during chaos, the running behind scenes and preventing any mishaps, Maria is beyond incredible!! Not only is she AMAZING at what she does, but she is so sweet and fun! Her down to earth yet professional personality makes the entire planning process a fun experience. She absolutely blew us away with all she did for us. She kept everything running smoothly behind the scenes so Tyler and I were able to just relax and enjoy our day. We absolutely LOVED our experience with Maria and Everly After Events! We felt confident in her organization and guidance throughout the entire process. She was very open to all of our ideas for decor, etc and gave us great suggestions to help us along the way. Although we booked her as a partial coordinator, she was helpful and responsive throughout the entire time and sent monthly email lists to keep me on track with my to-do list, which I found very helpful. I would definitely recommend!!
Maria is by far the best wedding planner and day of coordinator that is. She was very thoughtful, thorough and dedicated to giving us the best wedding day we could have imagined. Being from out of the Virginia Beach area having Maria there was so nice as she was able to meet with vendors and handle everything on the ground so we did not have to make many unnecessary trips down. Maria really did think of everything possible and even took our vision and made it a reality. Maria is very on her game and took care of any issue many times be we even knew about it. Maria had our backs throughout the whole planning process and made it all super easy. Her role as the day of coordinator as well left us speechless. She was able to keep us on track per the schedule but also pull an audible if the game plan needed to be changed on the fly. It seemed like she was ready for any all possible issues that may arrive and have them handled even before we knew about them. I don't know what we would have done without Maria through everything. We highly recommend Maria for a wedding planner and day of coordinator. You wont be disappointed we guarantee it!
My husband and I got married on 11/17/23 & 11/18/23! We did our research before choosing a wedding coordinator. We searched online mostly and came across Everly After Events LLC. After narrowing our selections down, chatting via video chat with Maria, and chatting again amongst ourselves for final confirmation....we made the decision to hire Maria as our coordinator!
From the beginning, Maria was very attentive and caring. We had a 2-ceremony, Traditional Nigerian/White wedding ceremony. I believe this was their first time working on this type of ceremony but even still, they prevailed and successfully pulled off our double ceremony event! Maria attended all Zoom meetings, answered our many questions and calls, and worked very well with other individuals that helped make our day a very special memory.
Maria provided many beautiful professional venues for hair and makeup, florals, etc. On the day(s) of our ceremonies, her team was very helpful as well! I have only great things to say <3.

My wife Dani and I got married on a Saturday last November at The Historic Post Office in Hampton, VA. I cannot stress to you how quickly you should stop your search for a wedding coordinator once you come across Everly After Events. We used Maria strictly for day-of coordination (well, she works with vendors and confirms their plans in the preceding weeks) and I am truly unaware how we could have survived the day without her.
Months before the big day, Maria sent us a very detailed document of all the pertinent information she needed to fulfill her role. It was helpful in tracking things we may have even overlooked ourselves. She met with us 6-8 weeks before our big day and walked through any confusion she had about any of our responses. As we made last-minute edits to that sheet, she was a phone call or text away at all times to discuss those changes. Once she had all of our information on that sheet, she took off and handled everything for us. Food, DJ, flowers, and even communicated with all the important folks (Maid of Honor, Best Man, etc.) for us as far as what is expected of them.
Everyone is confident before their own wedding. "I won't be stressed. We have planned this for over a year. I'm going to be sooooo chill." And then you wake up that morning and that all goes out the window. I am pretty sure I texted Maria before the sun came up that morning about [insert irrational anxiety here] and I believe she called me in 0.2 seconds. It sounded like she had been at work for hours but she had a very calming tone to her. And she maintained that tone throughout the day. While we were a ball of nervous energy, Maria was that calming pat on the back. After the first few hours of the day, I realized I didn't need to bother Maria with any more messages... if there was an issue, she was going to handle it using her experience as a coordinator. If she did have a question, she approached us in a very calm manner. It was refreshing.
While we supplied decorations, candles, and so on, we let Maria have creative oversight as far as how everything was laid out. She conveys such a calm, professional presence that we trusted her to decorate our entire venue to include the reception area. And boy did she knock it out of the park. And after 8 hours of prep work, the wedding finally started at 4 p.m. That's when I learned just how amazing Maria is. It is worth noting that she had a teammate whose name is escaping me but I do remember her being outstanding as well.
Once the festivities kicked off, it was like Maria was trying to hit 50,000 steps in the net 4 hours. Like a cloud of dust, she was all around the venue like a pinball making sure everything went off without a hitch. Whether setting up the desert table, moving furniture, or cleaning up, she was doing it all. I think the thing that stuck out for me the most was when I was on the dancefloor and I took a step back to kind of look around the room for someone. She came up to me and said "is there anything you need? Can I get you a refill?" Who is going to say no to a fresh Jameson and ginger. And what kind of WEDDING COORDINATOR provides that kind of care to her bride and groom.
If you are looking to be as relaxed as possible on your big day and "employ" (feels weird saying that because she quickly felt like a friend) a professional, respectful, funny, and timely wedding coordinator, look no further than Maria DeGalleford and her team at Everly After Events. She took so much stress off our shoulders and ensured our wedding day would go perfectly without a hitch. Maria and her team made our day magical! Really, we could never have pulled it off with out them. Hiring Maria for our coordinator was the best decision we made. Maria was easy to work with and very patient, organized and detail oriented, she helped us turn our vision into a beautiful wedding. Day of they did a little bit of everything and kept us on track schedule wise and stress free the day of the event. If there were any issues we never even knew. I don't know how I would've done it without Maria & Everly After Events! Maria was amazing to work with! She had been working with me for about two years in preparation for the wedding and I never felt like I was on the back burner. She answered all of my questions and was there to make the day go so smoothly. She is the absolute BEST, don’t miss out hire her now!!
When we started planning our wedding, we knew a lot of what we wanted, but we wanted some additional help for the week/day of to facilitate everything going smoothly. I've been in many weddings where the bridal party is working on the day of the wedding and in charge of their own schedule, and I can absolutely now say that paying for someone to coordinate for you (at least for the day of) is 100% worth it. We hired Maria but had to push our wedding a year due to COVID- through all of it, she continued to check in and send me to-do lists to make sure I was on track with all the details. She was also a wealth of knowledge for referrals to vendors in the Hampton Roads area throughout the process. In the few weeks leading up to the wedding, Maria was great with being super responsive, attending final walk-throughs at the venues with me and asking all the detail questions I wouldn't have known to ask. She was able to use contacts to source things for the table settings, etc., and her prior work with several of our vendors made confirming details with them super easy. The single most helpful thing, however, was that she took over a final schedule for the of the wedding (and the night before), and once we got there, she took over so that I didn't have to run around making details happen. As a very type A control freak, I felt very comfortable turning over these details to Maria as she demonstrated over and over again that she was on top of everything. On the day of the wedding, Maria just kept in contact with my sister and one of the groomsman, and none of us had to wonder what was going on, what time things were happening, etc. Once the party started, she made sure my husband and I were fed and happy and kept all the events running on time so that we only had to worry about being with our guests. And she took care of getting any remaining items to my sister the following day so that I didn't have to worry about a thing. Frankly, in the grand total of our budget, hiring Maria was a small line item, and she was absolutely worth every penny. If you can at all afford to hire a planner, I HIGHLY recommend it, and Maria is definitely your girl!
Maria coordinated the entire wedding from start to finish. As the wedding was at a private residence for over 160 people, it required the coordination of over a dozen vendors including lighting ,tents, transportation, catering, port-o-potties ..the list goes on. The wedding was perfect and flawless. She paid attention to every detail and was an absolute pleasure to work with.
Maria was absolutely wonderful. Her calm and collected demeanor made my wedding day so much less stressful. She was organized and personable and setup my venue with no problems. I don’t think I could’ve done it without her!
After our first in person meeting, it was like she read my mind and knew our vision perfectly. If any "bumps n the road came up" I knew Maria would be there with the right words and solution. We booked Maria over a year out of our September 2020 wedding. She kept us on track for planning our big day from the beginning, which was no easy task considering neither of us are from the area and both work very demanding hours. She offered suggestions of vendors which did not disappoint. She also helped us navigate a million changes in timeline and attendance once the pandemic began to impact wedding planning. She remained calm and was flexible to work around tough schedules of the bride and groom. She went out of her way to accompany us with meetings with vendors or even the dress fitting. On the day of, she made sure the entire process was stress free for all involved. She set up decor for both ceremony and reception, making the space absolutely beautiful. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to take stress off of planning for their big day!
Maria and her entire team are the best of the best! Everly after goes above and beyond to make any vision come to life, we got engaged last October and started to plan right before Covid happened, we decided to continue to push forward and Maria worked so hard to accommodate us and help us with every bump in the road that came our way! We were able to have our wedding on October 3rd, and it was unbelievably magical and perfect all thanks to the Everly After team! I wish I could give more than 5 stars, they are amazing! I will book them for every event I ever do. 10/10 would highly recommend.
Maria helped us navigate a wedding during the pandemic. She was flexible and informed and kept our stress level low! Her recommendations for the caterer and florist were both perfect for our event.
Maria added her personal touch to the decor for the venue and it was beautiful. Her staff is very professional and worked hard to take care of any need that arose during the evening.
I cannot speak highly enough about Maria and her work ethic. She’s so kind, professional, and truly has all of her T’s crossed and I’s dotted at all times. She was our superwoman! We had another local planner bail on us in the eleventh hour and Maria put together an entire wedding of 120 people, redid our entire weekend timeline, contacted 20+ vendors to coordinate our big day all in less than a week. Not to mention coordinated our rehearsal dinner and wedding without seeing the venue property prior to. Our wedding was truly a dream come true and we couldn’t have done it without her. We were so blessed to have her as our planner and so glad everything worked out the way it did. Do yourself a favor, take the pressure off yourself and book her ASAP!
We hired Maria back in 2018 to help plan our wedding. Nearly two solid years of planning. I was very direct and told her that I wanted her to do it all :) She didn’t disappoint and literally took care of everything outside of collecting the guest list and addresses from our friends and family. Unfortunately, we had to do that ourselves. She was able to give us a variety of choices of different vendors that fit our style and budget. 2020 has been a crazy year and we had to postpone our original wedding date twice. Each time, Maria was extremely helpful and flexible. She reached out to all of our vendors to reschedule/request refunds if possible. A week before our final wedding date, the governor decided to reduce the gathering count due to Covid. By that point, I was ready to just be done with it all. I checked out. However, in less than a week, Maria and my husband was able to plan an entirely new wedding. This included a new location over 30 minutes away, a built venue, new catering. Literally a new wedding in a week. All things considered, it turned out great! We are so thankful for Maria and can’t recommend her and her team enough.

The first major decision that I made after getting engaged was to hire a wedding planner. After doing some research, I found Maria with Everly After Events. Maria turned out to be one of the best decisions I made in the whole wedding planning process. She was able to interpret my bohemian/natural/organic/winery theme and turn it into the most beautiful and ethereal event. She helped me find a phenomenal team of vendors who were also able to take my vision and run with it. My wedding day was a stunning success because of the fantastic group of vendors that Maria recommended.
Maria has perfected a wedding planning system that is a must for anyone looking to take the stress out of planning a wedding. There is no way that I could have stayed organized without her monthly timelines. She promptly answered all my questions, accompanied me to tour the wedding venue, provided me with impeccable design suggestions, took care of the set up and break down of the wedding and reception space, and lessened my anxiety considerably leading up to the wedding. I highly recommend Everly After Events and I promise this will be the best wedding decision that you make!
Maria was truly a lifesaver. While my parents were local, my now husband and I were living in different parts of the country thanks to grad school and the military. Maria's monthly email checklists kept us on track and she was always available to answer any questions we had leading up to the big day. She was super organized and was so helpful during our walkthrough and rehearsal day. On the day of the wedding, she was calm and such a relaxing presence even when things were anything but! We had a last minute mixup with linens from another vendor and Maria went above and beyond to find some replacements for us. I don't think any guests noticed what was going on behind the scenes! Not sure what we would have done without her and her team! I would recommend Everly After Events to anyone planning a party!
I can't say enough positive comments about Maria DeGalleford and her team at Everly After Events. From our first meeting about 10 months before the wedding to the packing up after the wedding Maria was kind, professional, efficient, and available to help with any small or large detail.
The wedding day and the week leading up are the most stressful time in the wedding journey. Maria was the glue that held everything and everyone together. A last minute problem that we assumed could not be fixed was calmly taken care of by Maria. I am so thankful we picked Everly After Events for my daughters special day!
Maria and her team were great! We used them as a day of coordinator but she helps out if needed much more than that! She sends checklist throughout the whole process. She helped us find a DJ when I couldn’t find anyone! Maria and her team have a lot of helpful tips and tricks and she won’t let you forget anything
Maria was great in helPing us achieve our dream backyard wedding. Despite of having short notice of having a wedding, Maria assisted every way she can. She made our dream come to a reality!!!! She was very informative and flowing ideas on how to arrange our venue. I would definitely recommend her to anyone who wants to have the fairy tail wedding
Maria is AMAZING! I knew up front that I could handle most of the planning aspects of a wedding, but that it would be imperative to have someone else running the show the day of so I could focus on enjoying myself. Maria was so helpful from day one, and was always available to offer her expertise and advice on things I just wasn't familiar with in regards to wedding planning, budgeting, timeline, etc. Everything was perfectly organized ahead of time so there were no last minute details to worry about. She executed my design for the ceremony and wedding space in a way that was even better than I had originally envisioned, and kept things running smoothly despite numerous unexpected hiccups and last minute changes. I'm going to miss her now that the wedding is over! This seems to be a recurring statement, but she was truly the best money we spent on our wedding. I cannot speak highly enough of her!

Hiring Maria and her team was the best decision we made related to the wedding! She has a great knowledge of local vendors - she listened to exactly what we wanted and then got us in touch with the perfect florist and caterer. Her help day-of was invaluable. Because of her, we were stress-free during the planning process and on the big day. Our non-traditional vegan beach brunch was a success!
My first contact with the Everly After team was with Maria and from the moment I got on the phone with her I knew immediately she was the one! I interviewed three other very well known wedding planners in the area prior to speaking with her. Although they all seemed to have a lot of experience there was no spark or personal connection. Maria is so warm, and genuine, she truly CARES. Right off the bat you will notice how upbeat she is, she seems to radiate positive energy. I was at the point in the planning process where I was overwhelmed, and stressed out! I desperately needed someone to take hold of the situation, and make it an exciting and memorable experience for me and my family. Maria did just that! She was available 24hrs a day 7 days a week, and never once made me feel like an inconvenience. She was very knowledgeable about the industry, and had at least one friend working for every vendor in the area (because she’s so likable). It helps to have someone on your team who not only knows what they are doing, but doesn’t intimidate you, and come off pushy or like a know-it-all. When you’re planning your wedding it’s an emotional process, the last thing you need is someone you’re afraid to open up to, or speak your mind to. It’s your special day, and every detail should feel personal. If you want someone who tailors the experience to every couple I highly recommend Everly After Events. If I had to do it all over again I would still choose them, if that tells you anything!
Maria and the EAE were beyond AMAZING!! From the beginning to the end, she was there always two steps ahead. We decided to have our wedding at the cavalier on short notice and she only had 3 months to throw everything together. I didn’t have time to research vendors or even think about the little details. She decided on everything better than I could have ever imagined. She made everything so easy and stress free. I’m so thankful for her and the entire team.

She takes such detail and precision to everything she does but yet is soooo sooo relaxed and easy going in how she coordinates wedding. We hired EAE to do day-of wedding coordination for us and the owner, Maria, was AMAZING from start to finish! We hired Maria as our day of coordinator and could not have been more pleased. I had my ceremony in one location and reception at another with multiple pieces being used for both. My church was also fairly non-responsive. Neither of these concerns were issues with Maria. She handled anything that came up without me knowing and was so kind and helpful all day. We had Maria for a “day-of” coordinator and she did way more than just the day of the wedding. She is super responsive, extremely helpful with any questions and she helped give me the wedding of my dreams! I did a lot of DIY crafts that required a lot of assembling and putting together and she made it happen! I wasn’t sure if we would need a wedding planner, but to any brides, she was the number one thing I am happy we spent money on! I had no stress the day, and even the week before the wedding because of her! The flow of the wedding was very nice, everyone was aware of what was going on, she had everything under control and even she had a few girls helping her and they were nice as well! I can’t express in words how amazing she was! Thank you again so much Maria!
We were looking for a “day of” coordinator and Maria was highly recommended by our venue. She did so much more than I would imagine a day of coordinator usually does and was very affordable! Maria coordinated with all of our vendors and helped us plan the details of the day, including the ones we didn’t even think of. The week of the wedding Maria picked up our decorations and on our wedding day she set them up perfectly. She also picked up our flowers and donuts! Maria and her team handled the details of our wedding so well. Everything ran smoothly and we were able to truly enjoy our day!
I can't say enough about Maria and her Everly After Events team. I was planning my wedding from afar so was worried about having everything in order. Once we hired Maria, everything was a breeze. She is the definition of classy, professional, and hard working. She kept us updated and made sure we were on target with each deadline. She also gave us so many suggestions that we were able to use during the wedding from decorations, to bridesmaid/groomsman lineups etc. She was so present the wedding weekend as well, running our rehearsal and then being there for literally everythin, the day of the wedding. My mom, the groom, and myself are all SO HAPPY we came across Everly After Events.
We just got married October 21, and the day went off without a hitch because of Maria and her team. I knew that I wanted a "day of" wedding planner because we wanted to "enjoy" our wedding and not worry about organizing or concern ourselves if things were getting done.
Maria always made me feel comfortable, addressed all of my needs and questions and remained calm when I was getting stressed which helped me be calm :)
Maria is an absolute beauty and the value for her service was worthwhile in my opinion.

Maria and her staff were seemingly everywhere at our wedding, making everything run smoothly (without making us feel like we were on deadline), handling every hiccup, and making it possible for my wife and I (and our moms) to not worry about what needs to get done, because Maria was on top of it. Everly After was immediately responsive to every email, and as our wedding was in another state from where my wife and I live, Everly After handled a lot of the groundwork in advance that we were unable to do. Maria provides tremendous value, even more so for the level of service she provides, and I can safely say having her as our coordinator is the best decision my wife and I made in hiring vendors for our wedding.
I can't express how thankful we are to have found Maria and Everly After Events. We couldn't have dreamed of a more accommodating, caring, creative, available, and hard-working day-of coordinator. It was like hiring a friend! I think my mom considers her a daughter now, as well ;P Our wedding was beyond perfect, and it was thanks to these women. And the "bubble" we were put into a few days before the wedding, where if something went wrong, it was handled and we didn't know about it, was the best part. We had a completely stress-free, fun, and special weekend. We highly recommend!
