My wedding was 06/17/22 at Falconwood. I absolutely can not say enough good things about this venue. They were the BEST! Brandon was always so cool and easy to work with responding quickly to my messages. Caitlin was ABSOLUTELY THE MOST AMAZING coordinator. By the time it was all over I felt like I made a friend lol. She was so patient with me and my daughter (whom helped me).... she always made me feel like I was the only bride and our wedding was her main priority; all while I am sure she is also working with many other brides. The venue itself is breathtaking. They did the best they could for the heat as our day end up being a record for heat. They were flexible and listened to me and my vision. We had them set up our reception and it was on point! I just can't say enough about the people or venue.
Our wedding experience at Hanke Hall was amazing! The staff was one of the main reasons we booked it. They’re so laid back and personable. We wanted this day to be fun, and they matched that vibe completely. Their communication was phenomenal. Jon, the wedding coordinator, and Shannon, the decorator for the set up/tear down package we purchased, made this process as absolutely seamless as possible. The grounds indoor and outdoors were beautiful and clean. We also had multiple options for selecting where we wanted our onsite ceremony to be. If I had to go back and replan, I would pick Falconwood again and again!
My only recommendations wound be having a table linen package available, even in just white or black, or recommend local vendors to utilize for this. One of my biggest headaches of this whole process was I made the mistake of buying my own because I didn’t know otherwise. When they were delivered, they were folded into squares which left a ton of wrinkles, and ironing 40+ took hours. The other recommendation would be more mirrors in the cabins. Nothing fancy even, but we rented a few to get ready in for the big day and there was only one very small one per restroom.
Overall, such a great experience!
Where do I start with this beautiful place? I am not the bride, but I’m a very close friend to the bride that was helping out with the day. I was very thankful we got to go see everything ahead of time as well as having time to practice for the big day .I really enjoyed the space everything was amazing from Ciera the coordinator to Tracy the owner, as well as the Decorator Shannon, our bartender John . All of the groundsmen that helped prepare the perfect spot for the ceremony. We stayed in a cabin right in front of the venue which was very spacious and so convenient. I’m also so thankful for the Bridal suite it helped when we needed a break, and had our very own private bathroom.Everything went smoothly and the whole place was just beautiful. The bride also opted into have the cake cut a plated, as well as having everything broken down the next day for pick up. Thank you again! We will definitely be booking them again for other events.
Any questions?
If you are looking for following then Falconwood is the place.
-Miss your daughters wedding rehearsal because the owner want to renegotiate the price for set up
-Have the grooms grandfather miss the wedding because the prior wedding sign was still outside the reception hall
-Have missing silverware for place settings
-Have salt and pepper shakes still packaging and in bowls
- Have open bar opened up early liquor served prior to wedding even though you requested no alcohol to be served prior to reception
-If you want the dj to play all the wrong songs at the ceremony other than the one for bride to walk down the isle
-If you want setup of reception hall NOT to be fully set up and have to rush to complete the 1-1 1/2 hours prior to wedding done by family members and the florist assistance to get it ready
- if you want cost of beer and mixed drinks to be doubled in price than what you were told
- if you want designated coordinator for your event not to be there for the entire event
-If you want the owner to constantly harass you throughout the event to talk about why you are upset and how to resolve the issues after you already told them you would talk at the end of the night
- if you want the owner then to continually then harass other family members throughout the event of how they had spent 44 man hours setting up, but in reality they spent 4 hours tearing down from the prior days event, then took a nap then started your daughters setup once they woke
- If you want their dj to blast music during the reception to so guest could not talk to one another without shouting
- if you want to be told you were missing one vintage china dinner plate after you had counted every tote the week of the wedding just to double check
-If you want their dj NOT to play requested arranged music
-If you want dj NOT to play requested music from groom and mother of the bride
-If you want chair sashes NOT on reception chairs
-If you want to be charged $300.00 for additional tear down fees because it took an extra 1 hour 1/2 to tear down
-IF you want groom to be billed the day following their wedding to be charged an additional $375.00 to place chair covers on reception chairs after it was already discussed and agreed it was part of the price when items were dropped off and the price was raised $50.00
-Lastly IF you want the owner throughout the evening walking through the reception in shorts and a t-shirt to wear guests were constantly asking who he was
-If you want to be told id you water glasses filled it will be $2.00 a bottle or $600.00 towards bar bill and ALL glasses were never turned over
-If you want to be told beer is $3.50 and mixed drinks are $7.00 only to have guests charged $7.00 for a beer and mixed drinks were smaller than a nyquel dose cup and charged $9.00+, for 2 lemon drops and one glass of wine the bill was $29.00
So, in closing IF you want all of the above then Falconwood is the location to use. If you do choose to use, recommend getting all prices in writing.
If we would’ve had a different coordinator all our problems would’ve been solved.
The coordinator made it very stressful for my husband and I the week of the wedding and the day of the wedding.
We showed up with the wedding party and our family she was wearing a Hanes sports bra and shorts.
I had asked multiple times for a mic for me because I wanted to sing coming down the aisle the coordinator informed me we would have one.
The day of the wedding right before the ceremony the owner informed me that there wasn’t an extra mic. (We also paid for the electronics package)
When we went to pick up our decorations the next day. (We paid them for set up and tear down)
They had some of our items with other peoples wedding stuff and she informed my husband the wagon we had wasn’t ours. She also spoke harshly to my family who was folding the linens because they just piled it all together that we just needed to pick up our items and leave but we wanted to make sure there wasn’t other things that were missing.
I understand that they had another event but we had to make sure we had everything that was ours.
Overall the venue was beautiful, we did have a lot of fun but some of the people that work there are extremely unprofessional and I wasn’t stressed out about our wedding at all until we had to communicate or at least try to communicate with our wedding coordinator. It was a hot mess.
There would not be enough words to describe how happy we were having our wedding at Falconwood. Brandon was available for any questions I had, and then Molly when she was assigned as our wedding coordinator. Everyone at Falconwood was SO fun the night of the wedding and even joined us on the dance floor. Any question/concern I had was dealt with in a timely manner and so kindly. Our ceremony and reception was everything we had envisioned. Thank you so much Falconwood Staff!!
We had our wedding at Hanke Hall in Falconwood Park in late spring 2023 and it was absolutely magical. It is surrounded by trees and has stunning views of the surrounding area. The vibe at Hanke Hall is chill and laid back, which is perfect for couples who want a relaxed and intimate wedding.
The staff at Hanke Hall are incredibly friendly and helpful. They were always available to answer any questions we had and they went above and beyond to make sure our wedding day was perfect. Molly was the BEST wedding coordinator I could have asked for. She ensured I had 0 stress the day of. Everything ran like a well oiled machine.
I was worried that the guests wouldn’t be able to find the location since it’s tucked away inside of Falconwood, but there is clearly marked signage, and every single guest was able to find the site on time for the ceremony.
We rented all the glamping cabins right next to Hanke for some of our guests, and I cannot speak highly enough of Tracy, the cabin coordinator extraordinaire. She ensured that the camping experience after the reception made the wedding that much more special & memorable for our guests. She was an absolute pleasure to work with. The cabins are adorable & it’s obvious they put a lot of creativity and love into them. They were spacious and comfortable, and they were everything we needed after a party. Our guests didn’t have to worry about making the trek home after & got to thoroughly enjoy their night. We were even able to serve breakfast the next morning, and continue the fun with our loved ones.
I cannot thank all of the staff at Hanke Hall enough for making our day so fun & so memorable. Our guests raved about the location, and the incredibly friendly staff. We were so happy with our decision to have our wedding at Hanke Hall. It was the perfect setting for our special day and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.
We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable wedding experience. It is the perfect place to celebrate your love with your family and friends.
10-7-22 Bride here, From the moment I book with Falconwood, up until the day after the wedding I cannot say enough good things! Brandon the owner and Caitlin the manager made my wedding planning, and wedding day better than I ever imagined. They answered my 100 questions leading up and day of. The venue was BEATIFUL, and I received so many compliments from my guests about it being the best wedding ever. We rented the cabins, which were beautiful and so convenient location wise. The whole Falconwood team, and the provided day of coordinator made sure we all knew what we were to be doing at every step of the way. This made my day, so stress free let me tell you. I purchased the set up and break down package, which was worth every penny. I dropped everything off at the rehearsal the night prior and picked it all up the next day. I provided a few pictures of my décor and inspiration, and they decorated better than I could have imagined. My things were packed up nicely and organized when I picked them back up the next day. I cannot stress enough how easy everything was dealing with Falconwood. I woke up the next morning so happy, I could not even picture a more stress-free perfect wedding day. If you are considering booking your special day here, what are you even waiting for?
We had our reception in the original pavilion and it was perfect. The lights and decor were gorgeous and all of the staff were friendly, quick, and accommodating. If we do a vow renewal or have some other function where we need to rent a space, we will be back!
My husband and I held our reception at Falconwood Park and it was the most incredible day of our lives, so far. Not only are the venue grounds absolutely stunning, but the entire Falconwood staff are like knights in shining armor, waiting to help make your dreams come true. Shoutout to our DJ, Nate, and coordinator/bartender, Caitlin!! We love Falconwood!
Falconwood Park was the perfect venue for our wedding! We loved the indoor/outdoor vibe, the ability to bring in our own catering, and the timely communication of the staff. We got so many compliments on our venue. Such a great value for the price.
Falconwood Park was a beautiful venue for our reception. Their in-house DJ Nate was amazing! Their staff definitely know what they're doing and helped guide us through every step of the night. The venue is very kid friendly with a playground, lots of room to run around outside, and yard games. They take a more laidback approach but everything came together beautifully.
We booked pretty far in advance due to COVID and I think this added some logistical challenges. We had started the process with one staff member when we initially booked, then when the wedding got closer we worked with a different staff member. Because of this there were times we had to repeatedly go over details to make sure we were on the same page.
- Brandon was amazing to work with! He was so easy to talk to in person and answered all of my texts (there were many). He allowed us to drop off our wedding arch the day before so that we didn’t have to worry about transporting it the day of. I couldn’t have asked for someone so easy to work with. My favorite thing about Falconwood is that you can have your ceremony and reception all in once place. They have so many areas that you can choose for your outdoor ceremony site. The building for your reception needs minimal to zero decorations as it has been beautifully remodeled since flooding.
- Brandon was also our DJ. I gave a really limited list of songs that I wanted (the basics). During the reception, he kept the music pumping and took requests from all of my guests, young and old. He also helped guide us through the ceremony as well (when each group were to begin their walk).
- Jessica came with the rental contract. She is every bit worth it and more. Jessica is super sweet and caring. She helped along the way of getting ready and during the entire ceremony and reception. She was definitely a jack of all trades. She was helping my bridal party before the ceremony, calling the caterer for ETA on delivery during photos and helped with bartending during the reception. She was exactly everywhere we needed her to be when we didn’t even know we needed her there. She was a blessing to have.
We loved having our wedding at Falconwood Park! It is a very cost effective venue option and the park is absolutely beautiful! Not to mention the staff is amazing!!! I couldn’t say enough about how kind and helpful both Brandon and Jessica were in planning for our big day! They helped us out in so many ways and were able to accommodate all the requests that we had! Our wedding day ran so smoothly and it really was all thanks to them!
It was extremely hot on our wedding day- over 100°, so the only thing that would make this venue better would be if it had air-conditioning... they do have two large fans that they use during the reception but it was still pretty warm inside. Just something to keep in mind if you are planning on having a summer wedding! It did cool down at night and the outdoor dance floor was AMAZING! Highly recommend checking out Falconwood Park as your wedding venue!
Brandon, Molly, and Marla all worked to give us the most special day on our wedding day. We had a weird, nerdy wedding (in which everyone wore medieval costumes), and they were totally up for all the fun. My biggest stipulations in looking for venues were a beautiful location (check!), freedom to decorate how I wanted (check), and freedom to book my own caterers (check again!). Falconwood offers a perfect spot for more DIY couples who are looking for a bespoke experience.
We were looking for a laid back venue that we could make our own and Falconwood was completely that! At an affordable price and flexibility for our own caterer, it was a great match for our wedding. Our ceremony was perfectly seated beneath the string lights and our guests enjoyed a fall day outdoors before moving inside for the reception. Would recommend!
Falconwood Park [formerly Sokol Park] was the best location we could have hoped to have our ceremony! Brandon, the owner, and the rest of the staff were very accommodating and really worked hard to make the day what WE wanted. There was no short list of "acceptable" vendors we were limited to chose from making it easy for us to get the best option and the right fit for us!
So many compliments on how cool our venue was! Brandon and Marla are really awesome to work with and helpful if you have any questions at all. Everything on their end went perfectly and they even cover a few holes made by other vendors! It is reasonable priced for sure and the ground gave a lot to offer! I would highly recommend Sokol/Falconwood Park to anyone.
