We were able to do a tasting before the wedding, which was both fun and delicious. It was really important to us to have fantastic food at our wedding, and our family and friends raved about it. The presentation of all of it was beautiful—from the cocktail hour through the dinner service. It felt so elegant. We had the perfect wedding day, and Family Catering Service was a huge part of that!

uests eat a cold meal, especially paying money for a head waiter and other staff to be there. The waitstaff disappeared when it was time for everyone to get served and had to be hunted down so we could begin eating. Maybe I just had bad waitstaff, but definitely a let down on that side.

nything bad to say. The catering and bar staff the day-of were also pretty great and we have no complaints in regards to the service we received. However, my score is in reflection of an incident that occurred and how Family Catering chose to handle it. My husband, I, and our family were very disappointed with how Family Catering handled our aunt’s severe nut allergy restrictions for our reception food. When picking our reception menu, we made sure to make them aware of the allergy, removing all nuts from the menu except for one dessert we said would be the exception (carrot cake). We were very upset when we walked up to cut our cake at the reception and saw not only additional desserts that we did not pick, but additional nut desserts. It looked like half of the desserts had nuts and we couldn’t recognize what the desserts were or which contained nuts because nothing was labeled. This caused about 2 hours of panic and frustration that took away from our reception as we feared our aunt would go into shock from how many nuts were in the room. When we reached out to Family Catering after the wedding to ask why these desserts had been added without our knowledge, and why they thought it was okay to add nut desserts knowing that nut allergy was a concern of ours, we received a very unprofessional email back that lacked empathy and genuine apology, as well as blamed us in detail. Despite all of the conversations we had regarding the aunt’s allergy, removing the nuts from the buffet, and discussing the nuts in the carrot cake, they said we had to verbatim tell them “no nuts on desserts” for them to have known not to add extra nut desserts to our dessert table. We admitted to them that we should have removed the carrot cake altogether and will take responsibility for that, yet they did not own up to any faults of assuming that they could add extra nut desserts without our approval. We believe that they lacked thoroughness in their services, attention to detail, taking initiative, and asking enough questions. They did not reach out for clarification regarding our nut allergy restrictions (just assumed), and did not clearly explain to us ahead of time that they would be adding random desserts to our table. In their email back they mentioned certain things they “suggest” when it comes to allergies, but they never actually suggested or mentioned these things to us leading up to the wedding. Their response to our concerns speaks volumes for how they run their company, they clearly do not care about our feedback and how their decisions affected our day. Good customer service acknowledges the customer’s feelings and feedback regardless if they agree with it or not, not blaming the customer and explaining why they are wrong! We requested reimbursement for the desserts since my husband, his family, and I didn’t partake in the dessert bar out of fear we would spread the allergen and didn’t want to take the chance, yet Family Catering did not even acknowledge this request in their email back. We will NOT be recommending their catering services to anyone and would suggest that if you value quality customer service and attention to detail, to look elsewhere. Their good food did not outweigh their terrible customer service and professionalism.

re rushing around which had me stressed out right before my ceremony. Even our venue owner was helping them set up last minute. They day of staff was not as professional as other caterers I have worked with. There was no water at the bar and when the groom asked for water he was handed empty plastic cups. The bartender was extremely sweet but it seemed like there was a lot of kinks in the event likely to their late arrival everything seemed chaotic.

ilda truly made our visions come true. My husband and I wanted a casual wedding- where our guests could eat, drink, dance and have fun! We did not want a formal dinner and Icilda helped us come up with the perfect stations for dinner. We had a taco station, grilled cheese & tomato bisque station, salad and steak station. It was a compelte hit with all of our guests! Everything tasted delicious! I just wish that I was able to have more time to eat and not mingle with all of our guests because the food was that amazing. Icilda and her team made our entire vision come true and we could not be more thankful for them! We had such an amazing wedding day and know that Family Catering Service played a huge part in that. You will not be disappointed!

2018. Family Catering Service was easy to work with, and very responsive to questions. The big day was yesterday, and when the team arrived, they were just top notch in service and professionalism. The entire menu was delicious, we received numerous compliments from our guests. In fact, many people told us that the food was the best ever at a wedding or large event. In face, the food was just as delicious as the tasting day. The serving staff could not have been kinder to our guests or to me. Our family helped provide a "Family Recipe Dessert Buffet," and in all the details of the day, I had forgotten to address dessert plates for the dessert table. As I was busy uncovering desserts for our guests, I was told to go enjoy our party, they would take care of everything and even brought over some of the cake plates from the cake table. See? Top notch. Thank you, Family Catering Service, for helping make our daughter's wedding day the magical event she wanted and that our guests deserved.

At our wedding everyone raved about the food and how delicious it was. The bartenders were professional and overall everything went great. I did not hear of any complaints. I wish I could give more of a review about how the night went, but literally no problems were brought to my attention and I was told everything went smoothly. So I was one happy bride and could not asked for more!!!!

We had approximately 10 fewer guests than we planned for, so her team decided to give larger portions. In theory this sounds fine, but it was done before everyone wasn’t served so my vegetarian friend was unable to secure any vegetables ... imagine how embarrassing this was when i went table to table and greeted her... wow! After the wedding when i called yo discuss, icilda, the owner stated i would have to talk with the manager on duty from my wedding day because she was unaware of what transpired. Although allegedly unaware, she gave me numerous excuses in a loud tone before i finally told her the discussion wasn’t worth my blood pressure elevating. Darn shame, this company has the potential to be great, but this family owned business truly needs a little more professionalism, especially when catering in the wedding market .
