I cannot say enough amazing things about Family Catering Service! When I tell you that their food is incredible, that’s an understatement. My wedding guests RAVED about the dinner all night. It was simply perfect. Family Catering Service is an affordable option, and the staff are kind, flexible, and easy to work with. One of their staff, Whitney Anthes was also my Wedding Coordinator. She was amazing to work with throughout my wedding planning process. She worked so hard to ensure my day was perfect, and there are not enough thank you’s to give her. I will 100% be using Family Catering Service for future events, and I highly suggest you do too!

Talk about delicious! All of our guests are still raving about the food we had at our wedding. Even our photographer commented it was the best taco she ever has had at a wedding, and she has eaten at MANY! We were so happy with all the food and service at our wedding. My only regret as the bride is not making time to eat MORE. That is how great everything came out. We were very happy with Family Catering and highly recommend them for your big day!

Whatever ideas you have about the type of food you want at your wedding, Family Catering Service can do it, and do it well! We asked for Peruvian chicken, plantains, cilantro lime rice, tacos (shrimp, chicken, and brisket), and sangria, and what they served tasted better than we had ever imagined. We were able to do a tasting before the wedding, which was both fun and delicious. It was really important to us to have fantastic food at our wedding, and our family and friends raved about it. The presentation of all of it was beautiful—from the cocktail hour through the dinner service. It felt so elegant. We had the perfect wedding day, and Family Catering Service was a huge part of that!

I highly recommend this catering service! The food for our wedding was absolutely delicious and we also had a cocktail hour …they had so many options of what we can choose from. Dinner options also had an array of items to choose from! And our dessert table was absolutely amazing, including the decor that they put on the table as well. and the two employees that were doing our Buffet they were absolutely amazing as well. They were very nice and accommodating. I highly recommend this catering business. You won’t be disappointed!

The process was great booking and tasting. The food was amazing and had many compliments on the steak! However, the appetizers and meals were COLD! So embarrassing to have all my guests eat a cold meal, especially paying money for a head waiter and other staff to be there. The waitstaff disappeared when it was time for everyone to get served and had to be hunted down so we could begin eating. Maybe I just had bad waitstaff, but definitely a let down on that side.

OMG! We chose this catering company after being absolutely ripped off by another catering company. Family Catering went above & beyond for our wedding. We did a couple of food stations & a desert board and it was outstanding! Our guests still talk about how it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Service was also 10/10. 100% recommend using them for your wedding if you want delicious food and amazing service.

Huntersville Family Catering catered my rehearsal dinner and my wedding. They went above and beyond! The food was delicious and all the guests could not stop talking about how much they loved it! They are very accommodating and made me a special plate (as I do not eat meat). The entrees, sides and dessert bar was all fantastic! The tasting was even magnificent. Would recommend highly!

Family Catering Service catered our wedding last month. As far as the food, it was delicious and would be deserving of 5 stars. Everyone talked about how great it was, nobody had anything bad to say. The catering and bar staff the day-of were also pretty great and we have no complaints in regards to the service we received. However, my score is in reflection of an incident that occurred and how Family Catering chose to handle it. My husband, I, and our family were very disappointed with how Family Catering handled our aunt’s severe nut allergy restrictions for our reception food. When picking our reception menu, we made sure to make them aware of the allergy, removing all nuts from the menu except for one dessert we said would be the exception (carrot cake). We were very upset when we walked up to cut our cake at the reception and saw not only additional desserts that we did not pick, but additional nut desserts. It looked like half of the desserts had nuts and we couldn’t recognize what the desserts were or which contained nuts because nothing was labeled. This caused about 2 hours of panic and frustration that took away from our reception as we feared our aunt would go into shock from how many nuts were in the room. When we reached out to Family Catering after the wedding to ask why these desserts had been added without our knowledge, and why they thought it was okay to add nut desserts knowing that nut allergy was a concern of ours, we received a very unprofessional email back that lacked empathy and genuine apology, as well as blamed us in detail. Despite all of the conversations we had regarding the aunt’s allergy, removing the nuts from the buffet, and discussing the nuts in the carrot cake, they said we had to verbatim tell them “no nuts on desserts” for them to have known not to add extra nut desserts to our dessert table. We admitted to them that we should have removed the carrot cake altogether and will take responsibility for that, yet they did not own up to any faults of assuming that they could add extra nut desserts without our approval. We believe that they lacked thoroughness in their services, attention to detail, taking initiative, and asking enough questions. They did not reach out for clarification regarding our nut allergy restrictions (just assumed), and did not clearly explain to us ahead of time that they would be adding random desserts to our table. In their email back they mentioned certain things they “suggest” when it comes to allergies, but they never actually suggested or mentioned these things to us leading up to the wedding. Their response to our concerns speaks volumes for how they run their company, they clearly do not care about our feedback and how their decisions affected our day. Good customer service acknowledges the customer’s feelings and feedback regardless if they agree with it or not, not blaming the customer and explaining why they are wrong! We requested reimbursement for the desserts since my husband, his family, and I didn’t partake in the dessert bar out of fear we would spread the allergen and didn’t want to take the chance, yet Family Catering did not even acknowledge this request in their email back. We will NOT be recommending their catering services to anyone and would suggest that if you value quality customer service and attention to detail, to look elsewhere. Their good food did not outweigh their terrible customer service and professionalism.

Family Catering Service did a great job for our wedding. Our guests could not stop raving about how amazing the food was and many even said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding! Family Catering has a ton of different options to choose from and their prices were extremely fair. They were very accommodating of all of our needs and easy to work with too. I would highly recommend them for all of your catering needs!

I LOVED this catering service for our big day! My husband and I wanted to blend my Hispanic culture into our wedding, and what better way than food. We asked to do a taco bar with empanadas and ceviche as passed appetizers, and they did such an amazing job! The food was fresh and so flavorful. We still keep getting compliments from our guests on how good the food was, and luck for us we were able to enjoy leftovers! Thank you Family Catering Service for the amazing food and experience!

Icilda and Amber were fabulous in helping us in planning my daughter’s wedding—extraordinarily patient during the trying days of the Pandemic and our postponement. And the food! The passed appetizers and meal were fabulous! The servers were knowledgeable and courteous and constantly asking if they could help with anything. Good food was very important for us for our wedding. We had to reschedule our wedding three times due to COVID. Family Catering was wonderful to work with during COVID. The tasting of food options was extremely helpful, but hard because everything tasted so delicious. On our wedding day the food served was amazing for all nearly 200 guests. My husband and I are complete opposites, and it seems the only thing we have in common is our love of GOOD FOOD. Our search for a caterer was quite difficult; most wedding food similar and boring. Then we found Family Catering. Icilda is wonderful to work with, and she can help you create a menu that you love. And the food that you taste to sign a contract is the same caliber that your guests experience on your big day. We had SO MANY compliments on our food. Two words: chicken sauce! (Try the parmesan crusted chicken-- it is out of this world!)

Delicious food and great prices. Icilda thinks of everything when it comes to the food. Highly recommend the flank steak! To die for!!! Guests went back for several plates. We had a dessert table instead of a large cake. We were so excited thinking of all the leftovers we would have. However, our guests literally ate it all. They RAVED about the food. I recommend this catering company wholeheartedly.

Icilda and Amber were always very quick to respond and worked with as we edited our menu and drinks a lot! A few issues on the day of as they arrived late on the wedding day and were rushing around which had me stressed out right before my ceremony. Even our venue owner was helping them set up last minute. They day of staff was not as professional as other caterers I have worked with. There was no water at the bar and when the groom asked for water he was handed empty plastic cups. The bartender was extremely sweet but it seemed like there was a lot of kinks in the event likely to their late arrival everything seemed chaotic.

Family Catering Service was amazing! They were incredibly easy to work with in the planning stages of our wedding and outstanding the day of! Our guests LOVED their food! My mouth is watering just writing this review. The staff was so friendly and professional. They were well within our budget and we felt like we got a lot of bang for our buck. Icilda and her team were absolutely amazing. We were referred to her from our wedding venue (Sweet Magnolia Estate). They were the first and only catering company we met with. Icilda truly made our visions come true. My husband and I wanted a casual wedding- where our guests could eat, drink, dance and have fun! We did not want a formal dinner and Icilda helped us come up with the perfect stations for dinner. We had a taco station, grilled cheese & tomato bisque station, salad and steak station. It was a compelte hit with all of our guests! Everything tasted delicious! I just wish that I was able to have more time to eat and not mingle with all of our guests because the food was that amazing. Icilda and her team made our entire vision come true and we could not be more thankful for them! We had such an amazing wedding day and know that Family Catering Service played a huge part in that. Family Catering was the absolute best! It truly feels like family is catering your special day- from your tasting in Icilda's dining room, their constant communication and industry knowledge/feedback, to their friendly staff- they are s beyond accommodating to both your budget and your needs to find the perfect balance for your day! They were also able to recommend other vendors we were still searching for that we ended up loving, too! So pleased with this caterer! The food was absolutely delicious but the best part was the team who worked our wedding. They were attentive to detail and went above and beyond!

We initially met Icilda and her team for a tasting consultation for our daughter's wedding in 2017. Our daughter and her fiancé finalized a menu for their wedding in September of 2018. Family Catering Service was easy to work with, and very responsive to questions. The big day was yesterday, and when the team arrived, they were just top notch in service and professionalism. The entire menu was delicious, we received numerous compliments from our guests. In fact, many people told us that the food was the best ever at a wedding or large event. In face, the food was just as delicious as the tasting day. The serving staff could not have been kinder to our guests or to me. Our family helped provide a "Family Recipe Dessert Buffet," and in all the details of the day, I had forgotten to address dessert plates for the dessert table. As I was busy uncovering desserts for our guests, I was told to go enjoy our party, they would take care of everything and even brought over some of the cake plates from the cake table. See? Top notch. Thank you, Family Catering Service, for helping make our daughter's wedding day the magical event she wanted and that our guests deserved.

Icilda and her team were amazing from start to finish. At the first tasting we tried a variety of foods to decide what we wanted, it was all so yummy. From then on my emails were responded to quickly and we even talked over the phone numerous times. Icilda stuck to my budget and even gave input where I needed it and did not try to up sell me. At our wedding everyone raved about the food and how delicious it was. The bartenders were professional and overall everything went great. I did not hear of any complaints. I wish I could give more of a review about how the night went, but literally no problems were brought to my attention and I was told everything went smoothly. So I was one happy bride and could not asked for more!!!!

I cannot thank Icilda and Mandy enough for the most delicious food and red carpet service they provided on my wedding day! There was more than enough and everything was fresh and presented beautifully. I wish I could eat like this everyday.

I can’t say enough about how great family Catering Service is! The food was delicious and our guests couldn’t stop complimenting it. The staff was professional and courteous. They made the night so easy and carefree. Everything from the hors d’oeuvre to the buffet was great! I would recommend them to anyone and everyone for weddings and other events , too!

Our initial meeting with icilda was great... the food , ambiance, all of it. Everything was great until the day of my wedding. We opted for a plated meal and each plate was different. Some had sauce, done didn’t, and the food was less favorful than what we sampled at our initial tasting. We had approximately 10 fewer guests than we planned for, so her team decided to give larger portions. In theory this sounds fine, but it was done before everyone wasn’t served so my vegetarian friend was unable to secure any vegetables ... imagine how embarrassing this was when i went table to table and greeted her... wow! After the wedding when i called yo discuss, icilda, the owner stated i would have to talk with the manager on duty from my wedding day because she was unaware of what transpired. Although allegedly unaware, she gave me numerous excuses in a loud tone before i finally told her the discussion wasn’t worth my blood pressure elevating. Darn shame, this company has the potential to be great, but this family owned business truly needs a little more professionalism, especially when catering in the wedding market .

I was honestly highly dissatisfied with Family Catering. The food= amazing. The professionalism and care for her customers was highly lacking. We felt constantly pressured to spend more money. With every change we made to the invoice, she stated that she “had to” add another server (which raised the prices a lot!). The owner was unwilling to work with outside vendors (cake makers, China settings) because she wanted to “be in control of everything”. The servers never once refilled glasses— after we specifically asked beforehand if they would. The servers even tried to change the cake icing after the baker dropped it off (we wanted designs in the icing, which the servers took the liberty to completely smooth down!!). The servers did not help unload water bottles to reception areas. My bridesmaids were hauling them across the venue in their dresses, until they caught on and helped (they should have done this prior to the wedding even beginning). We ran out of bread rolls and tea (and we weren’t over our estimated count, I don’t know why there was not enough brought). Overall, the food was delicious but the service was highly disappointing.

First of all I would never use anyone else again to cater an event. When reaching out to them for our wedding Icilda was the only one who emailed me back the same day and wanted to meet us in person. She gave us great advice and they were in our budget. We were blown away at the tasting and booked them right then and there. On our wedding day I was blown away. Being a meeting planner they nailed every food station from the decor to the food. It was the BEST dessert station I have ever seen. All night we had great reviews on the food. The onsite contact Mandy was amazing.. She checked on me all night to make sure I had food or anything else. The staff was fabulous. The best item was the waffle cones with pimento cheese or chicken salad. I really can't thank Family Catering enough for making our wedding so special... All our guests raved about them all weekend! Not only to they exceed my expectations but blew it out of the park! Thank you again!

Family Catering Service was recommended to us through our venue so we reached out to Icilda and made an appointment. Icilda was on top of it! She was very knowledgable and made us feel pretty confident that she knew what she was doing. She made the whole process so simple. Our guests LOVED the food and still talk about how good it was (our wedding was in December). All of the staff were very friendly and we were very impressed by how easy they made it. We Hired "Family Catering" for our son's Wedding November 19,2017. All I can say is what an exceptional job they did!!! Everyone raved about the food!!! Not only was the price reasonable but the quality was exceptional!!! Icilda made sure that she did everything that we wanted and her staff who set up and served, paid attention to all the details. I was a little nervous about not having an all inclusive reception with a caterer on site, instead bringing in a caterer, but we were so pleasantly surprised of how great everything turned out! The one thing every one of our wedding guests made a point to tell us was how great the food was. They also made our cupcakes and cake tier for cutting and it was delicious too! They were reasonably priced and a great find. I would absolutely recommend Family Catering Service for any event especially weddings.

Family Catering Service set the bar for wedding catering! My goal was to have great food at my wedding. When we went for our tasting a few months before the wedding, I was amazed by the quality, presentation, and taste of the food. As the mother of the bride, Family Catering Service did a fantastic job at the Chillemi wedding! The food was delicious. The service was excellent. The young attendants were on time, very thorough, and completed the job perfectly. I would highly recommend them for another event!

The food arrived on time and all my guests say it tasted really good. I didn't get to eat much, basically took 2 bites because of attaining to guests but everyone else said it was great. They brought food for my husband and I to our table so that we wouldn't have to stand with the guests in line to get food. The appetizers were great. The server came upstairs and served us appetizers to the groomsman and bridesmaids. They are the most affordable out of 4 caterers from the list i had to choose from the Separk Mansion.
