My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our wedding day!
Largely because Kathleen Pacella, Fancy Figs Very Special Events, helped us plan our outdoor summer wedding at my home on the coast of Maine.
Kathleen is professional, extremely knowledgeable, efficient and detail-focused; all while being warm and engaging.
Before our wedding day, she listened carefully to our wedding vision, offered some great suggestions and guided its implementation.
On our wedding day, Kathleen coordinated the the entire event from the arrival of the rental company, the caterer, the florist, the photographer to the parking plan for the vendors and our guests. When an unexpected thunderstorm threatened a great evening of dancing, Kathleen fetched the tent's side curtain and assisted the band members to attach it; the music continued and the we never missed a beat. Throughout the day and evening, she checked in with us to make sure all as we wished.
Our guests has a wonderful time at our wedding and we had a splendid day! Thank you Kathleen Pacella, you are Exceptional!

Kathleen has a down-to-earth personality and calm presence that make her extremely comforting and enjoyable to work with during the overwhelming time of wedding planning. She is a skilled and upbeat creative problem-solver, and she is responsive, attentive, and impeccably organized. In the lead-up to our wedding, Kathleen was incredibly generous with her time in email correspondence and phone conversations to help us refine our wedding weekend timeline, tent floorplan, and other logistics, as well as offering to coordinate directly with our vendors to hone final plans. On the day before our wedding, Kathleen was prepared, patient, and ready to laugh with our families as she coached us for the "big day." We did several things on our own for our wedding, but of course some final details had gotten pushed to the very last minute -- Kathleen noticed the remaining holes that needed to be filled, suggested quick solutions, and even offered to help with some of the small last minute tasks we still had on our plate the night before the wedding. The morning of our wedding, it was clear that the small chance of rain we'd hoped would disappear had grown into a definite chilly, rainy day - but thanks to Kathleen's quick creativity and positivity, we wouldn't have traded our drizzly wedding day for a sunny one even if we could. Kathleen enacted our loosely-organized rain plan with such grace that no one even knew it was the back-up plan, and left us with absolutely no logistics to worry about so we could be fully present for what mattered most on our wedding day. We couldn't have pulled off our wedding without Kathleen - she was a joy to work with in the lead up to our wedding and was ready-for-anything on the day itself. We would recommend her in a heartbeat to any couples cobbling together most of their wedding logistics on their own but wanting a knowledgeable, creative, calming, guide to help weave things together and make sure nothing gets forgotten.
Kathleen was our day of coordinator and did a phenomenal job! From the moment we first spoke on the phone through to the event, she provided expert advise and insight, while being respectful of our design and decisions. Her organization and attention to detail were a huge comfort leading up to and on the day of the event. We highly recommend her for your wedding!
Hiring Kathleen to be our day-of-coordinator was by far one of the best decisions we made throughout our planning process. She made helpful recommendations when we first hired her more than a year before our wedding and then, given that we had hired her for day-of coordination, we started communicating in earnest about our wedding a few weeks before the big day. Kathleen coordinated set-up of our ENTIRE backyard reception (in a small-ish backyard, behind a small-ish house, on a busy road - NOT an easy job) while we were at our ceremony and the entire reception site (my parents' house) looked GORGEOUS and completely perfect when we arrived. The caterers, bartenders, and DJs had everything they needed and the party was in full-swing without us having to lift a finger. The entire night moved along smoothly with Kathleen's assistance and consistent communication.
Kathleen even served as the day-of-coordinator for my husband's best man's wedding the weekend after OUR wedding and my husband and I joked that the sight of Kathleen walking purposefully with her iPad was comforting, even at someone else's wedding! I could not recommend Fancy Figs more highly.
We enjoyed working with Kathleen and are glad that we hired her. She reduced my stress greatly when we first met with her several weeks before the wedding, and even more so when we met her a second time, the day before the wedding. She did a fantastic job making sure everything went smoothly for our reception, and hiring her took a lot of the pressure off me, my partner, and our closest friends and family. Don’t hesitate to hire Kathleen if you are looking for a competent, professional coordinator!
I really cannot overstate how great working with Kathleen was. She is calm, kind, professional, and so meticulous. She really listened to what we told her we wanted and helped us to execute it. Kathleen made several recommendations for other vendors who were also excellent and reliable. The timeline she crafted for our wedding day was truly a work of art - nobody was confused about where they needed to be and when! Our day went off without a single hitch, probably 99% because of Kathleen. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for extra help with planning their wedding.
My husband and I got married at William Allen Farm in June. We had to arrange all of our own vendors and bring everything on site. We couldn't have done it without Kathleen's expertise! She's organized, detail oriented, and thorough. She helped us craft a timeline and kept the evening running flawlessly. Kathleen is so personable and friendly and we truly enjoyed her company throughout our wedding planning process. I highly recommend her to anyone looking to put on a top-notch event!
We used Fancy Figs as a "month-of" coordinator before our 7/14/18 wedding. I had an absolutely amazing experience with Kathleen Pacella and Fancy Figs. My husband travels quite a bit for work and our wedding was semi-destination (in Kennebunkport, ME and we are located in Boston), so I was really relying on her in those last few weeks. I am not a very detail oriented person, and my biggest fear in wedding planning was that I was going to miss something really obvious; enter Kathleen, the most detail oriented person ever. Seriously, she was so wonderful. She outlined every item that needed clarification or that was outstanding. She also identified cost saving areas (we were able to save some money by switching vendors for some of the rentals), which was an added bonus. On our wedding day, everything went so smoothly because of her. And no one on our end had to worry about doing small tasks or errands, which was really nice. She handled communication with all rental vendors, the photographer, venue planner, etc.
When creating our budget, we went back and forth a lot as to whether it was "worth it" to use a wedding planner; my husband in particular was really on the fence. However, it was SO worth it. Since the wedding he has mentioned multiple times how happy he is that we worked with Fancy Figs.
If you are looking for someone to not only help you on your wedding day, but to help you plan the actual process, you don’t need to look any further than Fancy Figs. Our event coordinator, Kathleen Pacella, was absolutely amazing! We were having communication issues with our venue and over time without guidance and answers, it became extremely stressful to plan the simplest of our wedding day to the major events. We knew we needed extra help. We reached out to Fancy Figs, and immediately got a response from Kathleen. She immediately answered all of our questions and we instantly knew we wanted her to help us plan our wedding day. She took all of stress off our shoulders and helped us plan everything. The wedding day came, and we never had to worry about a thing. She worked extremely well with all of our vendors and made the day and timeline run incredibly smooth. She even took the time to put up our decor and clean it up at the end. We are truly so grateful for her. She is extremely professional and is also very creative. She is always open to suggestions and always has ideas in return. Our wedding day was amazing because of her. When people ask us for advice about the wedding planning, we tell them to hire an event coordinator/planner. We will always recommend Fancy Figs and Kathleen Pacella to plan any event. She is truly the most amazing event planner! Thank you again Kathleen from the bottom of our hearts!

We ended up working with Kathleen of Fancy Figs in what turned out to be a happy accident - the venue coordinator that we had been working with for over a year had an emergency arise and was unable to be present for our day and the 10 days leading up to it.
Needless to say, that was a bit of a stressful experience, but our venue thankfully connected us with Kathleen, who stepped in and picked things up where they had been left off without a hitch. She was warm, professional and proficient, and it was immediately clear that she is good at what she does! She took time out of her busy schedule to meet with us in person within a few days of the wedding, and provided some expert advice/input into last minute details - her suggestions were AMAZING.
On the big day, she helped keep things running smoothly and she did an absolutely amazing job. It must be very challenging for a planner to walk into that situation only having met the couple and reviewed the outline/plan a few days beforehand, but she made it seem like a piece of cake. We will be forever grateful for the work that she did for us. Had I known about her before that last-minute snafu, I would have asked her to work with us much sooner :)
