Fancy That Bistro and Catering

I had a tasting set up through my planner. I drove from Charlotte looking forward to tasting the food. When I called to speak to Harvey, he said he didn’t have my name down after I had already drove there. I called my planner to confirm the date and time, and she sent a screenshot of Harvey confirming said date and time. I called back to see what could be done. He answered the phone with an attitude and did not try to fix the mix up on his end because he had the wrong date in his calendar. In fact, he hung up in my face when I was trying to see if we could reschedule. On one hand I’m at peace knowing how they conduct business now rather than on my wedding day. Would hate to have unprofessional staff at such a special event. On top of that he told me he hated working with planners when he’s the one who got the date wrong. How narcissistic and rude.

I can't in clear conscience say that I would use this company for anything ever again. After proposing to my wife, she dearly wanted a wedding back in her home state of SC. Living in California, we relied on "Harvey" (if that's his real name) to make sure everything was perfect, and he promised it would be. Instead, he went AWOL several times while planning our day. My gut told me something was wrong, but my wife assured me it would be okay. The day of the wedding and we got word that he was nowhere to be found and during the actual ceremony, he and another guy showed up and began setting up. The food wasn't what we had discussed and paid for and to make matters worse, it appeared they had been drinking. At some point during the reception, Harvey stumbled up to my wife and told her she was beautiful - which she took as a compliment.. so imagine my surprise when he later tried to kiss her! His crew spilled wine on a bridesmaid, left a mess and cost us our deposit. What would have been a beautiful day to remember was definitely marred by Harvey and his drunken antics.

Delicious, mouth watering heavy hors d'oeuvres!!! Reasonably priced and so grateful for the coworker who told me about this hidden treasure.

For catering events DO NOT book with Fancy That Catering. Planning a wedding is stressful but planning a wedding 600 miles away from Columbia SC is worse. We scheduled a taste test and the food was good but the price was better(too good to be true). This catering company was also listed as a preferred vendor for the reception venue I selected. Since both my husband and I are busy professionals, traveling back to SC before the wedding was not possible. After the taste test and the quote, we were sold because his price included the food, bar services and alcohol. After putting the deposit down and sending the contract via fax, I received an email a month later stating he didn't receive my contract and to call the store for my full refund. I emailed, left messages and called back multiple times advising the contract was sent but didn't receive any communication from him. I'm disappointed in the quality of service I received. Planning a wedding is stressful enough and I was not expecting added stress from a "professional" catering company. I normally don't give reviews but I don't want another bride to have the same experience I did.
