Do not hesitate to book an appointment at Ferri Formals! Marylu and her staff are wonderful. They have a large dress selection and a gorgeous private fitting room area. I was extremely pleased with my dress and the alterations. But most important was the personal connection Marylu made. When I had last minute changes and my toddler had to come to my final dress fitting, Marylu held him the whole time! Highly recommend!

My experience at Ferri Formals was better than I could have hoped for. On my first visit, I had my own private suite and three bridal assistants to help me. I really struggled at previously bridal stores to find anything I loved but at Ferri’s, I had multiple dresses I loved right away. Their selection is amazing and their staff really listen and help you find the perfect dress. Such a positive experience. I also got my dress altered here. Marylu and her mother are magicians! I am amazed at their talents. Thank you!

Marylu and the Ferri Formals team are phenomenal! They made my wedding dress dreams come true. Our entire wedding party was dressed, including the MOB. I originally chose them because of the designers they carried, and ended up falling in love because of the personalized and competent customer service. At my first appointment, I let them know my budget and the kind of styles I was interested in, and I found my dress that day. They also did the alterations on site for us all and everyone’s dresses and suits fit perfectly after the first fittings. They’re attentive, flexibile, and welcoming. I never felt more beautiful than I did in my dress. Would highly recommend!

Ferri Formals and Bridals is a great shop with reasonable prices and so much variety in size and style. The location was convenient for me, so they ended up being the only place I went to shop for my wedding dress. When I was trying on dresses and searching for the perfect one, I never felt rushed or pressured. It was such a fun experience and they made me feel so special. I took my dress home with me and brought it back a few months before my wedding for alterations. I had my dress taken in quite a bit and it was still a little big on top after alterations. They did even more alterations and told me I could pick it up 2 days before my wedding. That was stressful, but they assured me it would be ready and that there would still be time left for more alterations if needed. They pulled it off and I was happy with how well my dress fit me. My husband and his Best Man rented their tuxes from Ferri Formals and the process was very easy for them. They also altered my Maid of Honor dress, even though it was purchased from somewhere else. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience with Ferri Formals and I'm looking forward to having them clean and preserve my dress!

Loved my dress and their selection. Great quality without the hefty price tag. Alterations were perfect, though scheduling them was a little funky at times. They also had beautiful dresses for my bridesmaids.

Marylou and her staff were amazing! They were very professional especially during COVID. When my dress arrived with a few issues, Marylou was able to get it solved for me! I had gone to a few different bridal shops before here and none came close to the quality and variety at Ferris. Everyone I worked with were wonderful and I never felt rushed or pressured. They had a large variety of dresses and were very accommodating to work with. All of the staff were genuinely interested in hearing about your wedding and helped look for your perfect dress. I was recommended to this shop by a friend and I was very satisfied with my visits. Not only do I think it's affordable, but the dresses are very cute. Both my dress fitting and day that I bought my dress were fun. I made sure to try on a few till I found the one that I will currently wear down the aisle. At the shop you will notice many dresses to chose from and accessories or veils if needed. The staff was very friendly and was excited about my wedding day as I was. If a bride wanted to look for a dress I highly reccomend this shop. Also keep an eye out for deals they have. I got my dress around Valentine's day and got my dress half off. Hope other brides are as happy as I am. 10 out of 10, would reccomend!!!!!

Marylu and her team at Ferri Formal’s was exceptional to work with and helped me find my perfect wedding dress. I began wedding dress shopping in July 2020, in the midst of the COVID pandemic. During this time Marylu provided a safe and comfortable shopping experience. Once I found my dress, Ferri Formals performed the alterations and stored my dress until the week of my wedding. I received multiple comments on how beautiful my dress was and questions on where I had purchased it from.

Marylu and her team were absolutely amazing at helping me find my dream dress. The selection of dresses was wonderful. I found a dress that I loved and Marylu customized the dress (added straps and buttons down the back) to make it perfect for me. The team is so patient and attentive to each and every client. Marylu and her staff were fantastic in finding the most beautiful gown for my wedding. Their ability to make you feel so special, heard and safe during all of the COVID-19 protocols was especially important during these trying times. Even after my wedding, Marylu has been so quick and responsive to my needs with dress preservation questions. I was in contact with Ferri Formals and Bridal throughout COVID-19 restrictions as I wanted a specific dress they had in stock and FINALLY got to go in person last week. I had an amazing experience there and would do it all over again. The first dress I tried on was THE one I went for and knew instantly, but tried some others on for fun. Pat and I had a great time, she was so patient and kind. She found the perfect veil and earrings to match my dress and was so compassionate with not just me but my family. My Brides and Grooms and their families can not say enough good things about Ferri Formals and Bridals. As a Custom Wedding Officiant I share the entire wedding planning process with my couples and one of their highlights is of course, choosing their wedding attire. Couples seem to ALWAYS find their dream dress and outfits at Ferri's. The owner, Marylu, approaches her business with an unequalled expertise. She knows her inventory and can really listen to what her customer is looking for then she finds options that are the perfect fit. She seems to be able to work within any given budget. Marylu also regularly advertises all of her sales and deals. Finally, like a bow on an already beautiful package, the alterations she offers gives the individual as custom fit - just as it was made for them! Best of all, she does it all with heart, she really cares. I have seen her come with needle and thread and help a bride that had an accident on her wedding day. She is that good. You will love her!!!!! Look no further. As you can tell, I am not only a colleague but also a customer:)

I met MaryLu at a bridal show and made an appointment. Then I found a dress at another store and thought this is it but decided to keep my appointment and I am so glad I did. Not only did I find the PERFECT dress, MaryLu and the sales woman stayed late to make sure we had all of the necessary information to make a decision. I enjoyed shopping for a dress here more than I did at Kleinfeld’s! I wasn’t rushed, they were able to accommodate my short time frame and I received their undivided attention. There were numerous dresses in my size (plus), even on the sample rack which pleasantly surprised me. There were tons of options for me to try on. I can’t wait to wear my dress!!! My only suggestion would be actual fitting rooms instead of curtained areas. But the shop itself was small and cozy with dresses galore.

I seriously enjoyed my experience with Ferri Formals. My first appointment was with Katrina, who was so patient with me and my entourage. She helped nail down my style and we found "the one" within 5 dresses! The fitting went smoothly, however, being an out of towner it was difficult to get there during the week (which is when I was told they do their fittings/alterations). My first fitting happened on a week day but they were able to work with me to have my final fitting take place on a Saturday. The final product was a dress so beautiful and felt made for me. Tip: Do not eat a large lunch beforehand! It made my waist a little bigger than how it actually fit on my wedding day. This was absolutely not the fault of Ferri Formals :) and you really couldn't tell from the picture that I had a tiny bit of extra room in there. I referred an old colleague to Ferri Formals for her wedding day dress, so I hope she has a great experience as I did! Full tranparency to help other brides: I picked out several dresses around $1500-$1900 to try on. I fell in love without looking at the price. When I did, I saw that it was off the rack / sample size Stella York on sale for $299. I almost died..... My alterations cost more than the dress! They were around $600-700. I don't think I could have gotten a better deal anywhere on the planet....

We had a wonderful experience getting my gown, accessories, bridesmaids dresses and also tuxedos for my husband and his groomsmen at Ferri Formals. The day I picked out my dress they made me feel so special. They were well versed in styles, designers and accessories. The moment I put on my dress I cried, my family cried and even the woman helping me got teared up. It was amazing! My husband and I live out of state and the staff at Ferri Formals was always available over phone and so helpful! Everything was perfect for our wedding day. They recently cleaned and packaged my gown as well! I along with my husband highly recommend Ferri Formals. They are incredibly kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable.

I went to other bridal places before i went to Ferri Formals. I had an image in my head and all the other shops only got me what i thought i wanted in a dress. I went to Ferri formal and i was able to walk around and pick my own dresses that i wanted to try on. They make it easy and fun. So happy i went to them and found the dress of my dreams!

I don’t know where to begin. What an incredible experience from the moment I called to make an appointment to pick up my dress weeks before my wedding day! I am a Wedding and Event Florist and many of my brides have used Ferri Formals for their special day. They have such an incredible dress selection and again amazing staff. Do not go anywhere else for your big day this bridal shop will not disappoint.

Service and timing were great at this store. Dress came in fast and alterations came out perfect!

My mother and bridesmaids walked into the shop on a Thursday afternoon and felt like we were royally catered too! We had the private room upstairs for 3 hours and our attendant never got tired of hauling up dresses for me to try on that fit the style I was looking for. I have recommended my friends here and they also have found their dress with wonderful service. Fast forward to almost 4 years later while looking for a place to preserve my Allure lace wedding dress and not willing to send it to a cleaner that is going to charge me $300, I call up Ferri's and because I bought the dress there, they gladly stated they will clean and preserve it in a box for half the price of the other cleaners. When I walked in I saw the same friendly faces as years ago and they genuinely ere interested in my life now and asked to see my wedding pictures! Now that is true customer service with a smile!

I had the most AMAZING experience here. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. this we the first place I had tried on dresses. I was immediately greeted walking through the door and told to look around as they check on the room downstairs. I started pointing out dresses to my mom and as soon as the woman came back up she gathered every single dress I had asked for- like 15..seriously!! As we were getting ready to head downstairs the bride that was upstairs finished and my stylist said "change of plans, I love the upstairs room and so will you! I'm gonna grab the dresses and bring them up". the upstairs room is enormous and so beautiful! we spent about 2 and a half hours trying on dresses walking around in them, everything. they had cookies and water and my stylist made sure to ask me if I needed a break or wanted a snack every couple dresses. she ran around looking for the perfect tiara to go with one of the dresses. she was so complimentary of everything I tried on. she really boosted my confidence and helpful with everything! There were 3 dresses that I loved and couldn't decide so I went home and think about it. after looking at another shop, I did not end up purchasing my dress here but I couldn't not give a review because my stylist, Patty, was the absolute best and made my first time dress shopping an experience to rave about! I would definitely tell any bride dress shopping to go here!!

Ferris is amazing. The young woman I worked with was a doll. She listened, asked question, and really got to know what I wanted and liked. She actually picked out my dream dress that I bought. The first time I went I went alone. She made me feel so comfortable. The second time she not only was again amazing but also kind to my mom and best friend who I brought. The bridal suit to try on dresses is roomy, and beautiful. I will be going back for my bridesmaid dresses. I can't say thank you enough. If I could give more then 5 stars I would.

I would like to say that Ferri Formal has an affordable and gorgeous wedding dress selection. I had no issue finding my dream dress stop #1 and only had to try on 4 dresses before I fell in love. Ferri formals has wonderful helpful staff and I would highly recommend checking them out for your wedding dress. From start to finish they have been great.

Marylu is great to work with, very professional, and very sweet. She ensures that the bridal shopping experience is special and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable or pressured. We purchased a wedding dress, 7 bridesmaid dresses, and rented 7 groomsmen tuxedos and had no issues. She has a great selection, and the alterations were also very good. They are the best and I would choose them again in a heartbeat!

When I started my wedding dress search I had NO IDEA where to begin! Ferri formals is about a block from my house and it’s where I found my first prom dress so naturally I had to go again to look for my wedding dress. Compared to other salons I can definitely say they don’t try to force you into anything you don’t want to try, they give you their honest unbiased opinions and make you feel so comfortable. I had an amazing experience with Marylu. They had a huge selection of dresses and she helped me find exactly what I didn’t know I was looking for. Marylu was excellent about suggesting ways to fix the little things I was worried about or wanted to cover up. She found the perfect accessories that gave my dress the extra touches it needed. Marylu was very knowledgeable about the fabrics and structures of the different dresses when I was trying to narrow down my favorites. I highly recommend booking an appointment!

I really enjoyed my experience at Ferri Formals. I found my dream dress there and have to say the quality of the dress for the price was remarkable. The dress itself was gorgeous (I'm a bit biased) and easy to wear. I got so many compliments on my dress the day of my wedding, I never wanted to take it off. Additionally, the alterations were spot on (all done in shop). My only qualm about the salon was that there were several times I arrived having an appointment but the salon had no record of me having an appointment. With that being said, they still accommodated me on the spot. A few times, staff seemed confused or unsure of their duties which wasn't the most reassuring feeling as a bride, HOWEVER, the staff that did know what they were doing were absolutely AMAZING. Overall, I think the quality of the dresses and the price points are on point. My advice, if you are a type A bride like me is to just double check on everything and ask a lot of questions. In the long run, I was extremely pleased with my dress and service.

Great experience for wedding and bridal party dresses. We had an opportunity to work with several of the staff and they were all great. I think Kim picked out my say yes wedding gown perfectly. Debbie assisted the bridal party with measurements and design and was delightful! Mrs. Ferri did all my wedding gown alterations and I absolutely love and adore her!

I have always been a Say Yes to the Dress girl. For months I searched magazines and sites. I fell in love with a dress by Lillian West so began my search of shops that carried the dress. I spoke with the owner of Ferri Formals who was very nice and worked with me to find the dress and have the sample come to their store. I had already been to a few shops and didn’t get the right vibe to buy from them nor did they have my dream dress. When I entered Ferri Formals it was a different feeling I knew this is where I would get my dress unfortunately the sample was too small to fit into. It took a few more dresses and Marylu’s assurance that the dress that didn’t fit was my dress. They even helped me figure out my shoes during the fitting and one of the girls helped me with my earrings. I certainly recommend going there and taking advantage of the deals and advice they offer.

I can't thank the owner and staff at Ferri's enough!!! 16 days before my sisters out of state wedding we FINALLY received dresses we ordered from another local shop that were wrong! I called Ferri's in a panic and not really thinking they would help me since we didn't originally purchase there. To my surprise the owner was beyond understanding, super quick to call the designer and arrange for new dresses to be sent to her shop. I brought her the wrong dresses and she is getting us the right dresses!!! We leave for the wedding in 8 days. She has completely saved my baby sisters wedding!!! I will forever be thankful for her! She has gone above and beyond to help us clean up a disaster that she didn't cause.. solely out of the kindness of her heart!! A true amazing business owner!!! The shop was clean and gorgeous, everyone working was friendly and so graciously accommodating.

Ferri Formals was my first and only stop when looking for my wedding dress for my wedding on 3/24/18.I found the most beautiful Justin Alexander gown right off the rack . No special orders needed. Marylu has a beautiful shop with a beautiful selection of gowns for wedding, proms and special occasions. We had a bridal party of 6 Bridesmaids and 6 Groomsmen along with the father of the bride and groom they outfitted is all. Our wedding party couldn’t say enough about how wonderful and professional they were. Marylu, Kevin and the rest of the staff at Ferri Formals are truly amazing they make you feel like family. I am very glad I went to Ferri’s for my wedding gown! The had so many to choose from and I tried on different styles until I found the perfect one. They were so sweet and really took an interest in me during my appointment. I would recommend them to anyone!

I went to Ferri's on a whim while visiting my Mom for Thanksgiving. Best decision of the weekend because I found my dress!!!! Debbie was my consultant and she was beyond amazing. From the moment she greeted us at the door, she made me and my mom both feel instantly comfortable and she was attentive, personable, and professional. She listened to what I wanted, gave suggestions on things that may look well with the dress, and never pressured me into a decision! I was nervous to start bridal gown shopping but if I had known I would be working with someone like Debbie, I wouldn't have been nervous at all. She made the whole experience FUN!! Debbie was not the only pleasant one we had the chance to work with. Marylu helped us get the gown ordered and offered advice/insight when choosing a color and accessories to go along with the dress. My mother and I had a wonderful time at Ferri's and wouldn't hesitate to shop there again!

I walked in thinking I knew exactly what I wanted, and the stylist who worked with me brought a few dresses that fit that bill before she suggested I try on something a little different. It was the perfect dress for me and I'm so glad that she took elements from my original vision and combined that with her expertise! Ferri also did an outstanding job with my alterations and bustle. I had such an amazing experience buying my wedding dress here. All the staff made everything so easy. When I first came into the shop, I didn’t know what style I wanted and they spent lots of time with me to help me figure out what I liked the most. The staff were very attentive and always made sure I felt comfortable with my decisions. The shop was great at communicating timing of dress ordering, dress arrival, and alterations. Alterations were done through the shop and came out great! I felt so beautiful in my dress on my wedding day and ferri formals made that feeling possible!

Ferri formals was a great salon to work with, we used Ferri's for the bridal gown, bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen suits. A few if the suits were late but everything worked out well. I found a dress online by a designer they carry and they were more than willing to order the dress and let me pick a different dress if I didn't like the one I ordered.

I cannot speak highly enough of my experience at Ferri Formals and Bridals in Schenectady. The selection of formal wear was exceptional and the service was superior when compared to the countless shops that I went to prior to Ferri’s. I sincerely enjoyed working with the entire staff from the beginning to the end of my experience there. I first began working with Patty. She was amazing and she listened to what I was in search of and then provided me with exactly that. I appreciated this because I kept finding that at other boutiques I would explain what it was that I wanted and then the employee would pull the opposite of what I described. It almost felt like a ploy to get you to settle for the next dress you tried on in your size that was remotely close to what you envisioned wearing. After being so discouraged and feeling as if I was wasting my time, it was extremely refreshing to feel respected at Ferri’s rather than feel treated like a walking dollar sign. That same evening, the search was over and I had found my wedding gown! Mayleen did an unbelievable job with my alterations and added ¾ sleeves onto my dress. She is incredibly talented and I was impressed with the quality of her work. Her sense of humor and honest opinions were also very helpful throughout the process. Marylu, the owner, was fantastic to work with. She was genuine, fair in her pricing, and gave me the feeling that she truly wanted me to find the dress of my dreams. Holly, as well as the rest of the staff, was knowledgeable, very sweet and well organized (which I LOVED). We also used Ferri’s for our bridesmaid’s dresses, mother of the bride dresses, and my sister found a stunning prom gown there. We would have rented tuxedos from there if we had not already put a deposit down elsewhere. The prices are so reasonable but their customer service and professionalism is what sets them apart from their competition. You will not be disappointed at Ferri Formals and Bridals!
