Do not hesitate to book an appointment at Ferri Formals! Marylu and her staff are wonderful. They have a large dress selection and a gorgeous private fitting room area. I was extremely pleased with my dress and the alterations. But most important was the personal connection Marylu made. When I had last minute changes and my toddler had to come to my final dress fitting, Marylu held him the whole time! Highly recommend!

My experience at Ferri Formals was better than I could have hoped for. On my first visit, I had my own private suite and three bridal assistants to help me. I really struggled at previously bridal stores to find anything I loved but at Ferri’s, I had multiple dresses I loved right away. Their selection is amazing and their staff really listen and help you find the perfect dress. Such a positive experience. I also got my dress altered here. Marylu and her mother are magicians! I am amazed at their talents. Thank you!

Marylu and the Ferri Formals team are phenomenal! They made my wedding dress dreams come true. Our entire wedding party was dressed, including the MOB. I originally chose them because of the designers they carried, and ended up falling in love because of the personalized and competent customer service. At my first appointment, I let them know my budget and the kind of styles I was interested in, and I found my dress that day. They also did the alterations on site for us all and everyone’s dresses and suits fit perfectly after the first fittings. They’re attentive, flexibile, and welcoming. I never felt more beautiful than I did in my dress. Would highly recommend!

Ferri Formals and Bridals is a great shop with reasonable prices and so much variety in size and style. The location was convenient for me, so they ended up being the only place I went to shop for my wedding dress. When I was trying on dresses and searching for the perfect one, I never felt rushed or pressured. It was such a fun experience and they made me feel so special. I took my dress home with me and brought it back a few months before my wedding for alterations. I had my dress taken in quite a bit and it was still a little big on top after alterations. They did even more alterations and told me I could pick it up 2 days before my wedding. That was stressful, but they assured me it would be ready and that there would still be time left for more alterations if needed. They pulled it off and I was happy with how well my dress fit me. My husband and his Best Man rented their tuxes from Ferri Formals and the process was very easy for them. They also altered my Maid of Honor dress, even though it was purchased from somewhere else. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience with Ferri Formals and I'm looking forward to having them clean and preserve my dress!

Loved my dress and their selection. Great quality without the hefty price tag. Alterations were perfect, though scheduling them was a little funky at times. They also had beautiful dresses for my bridesmaids.

Marylou and her staff were amazing! They were very professional especially during COVID. When my dress arrived with a few issues, Marylou was able to get it solved for me! I had gone to a few different bridal shops before here and none came close to the quality and variety at Ferris. Everyone I worked with were wonderful and I never felt rushed or pressured. I was recommended to this shop by a friend and I was very satisfied with my visits. Not only do I think it's affordable, but the dresses are very cute. Both my dress fitting and day that I bought my dress were fun. I made sure to try on a few till I found the one that I will currently wear down the aisle. At the shop you will notice many dresses to chose from and accessories or veils if needed. The staff was very friendly and was excited about my wedding day as I was. If a bride wanted to look for a dress I highly reccomend this shop. Also keep an eye out for deals they have. I got my dress around Valentine's day and got my dress half off. Hope other brides are as happy as I am. 10 out of 10, would reccomend!!!!!

Marylu and her team at Ferri Formal’s was exceptional to work with and helped me find my perfect wedding dress. I began wedding dress shopping in July 2020, in the midst of the COVID pandemic. During this time Marylu provided a safe and comfortable shopping experience. Once I found my dress, Ferri Formals performed the alterations and stored my dress until the week of my wedding. I received multiple comments on how beautiful my dress was and questions on where I had purchased it from.

Marylu and her team were absolutely amazing at helping me find my dream dress. The selection of dresses was wonderful. I found a dress that I loved and Marylu customized the dress (added straps and buttons down the back) to make it perfect for me. The team is so patient and attentive to each and every client. Marylu and her staff were fantastic in finding the most beautiful gown for my wedding. Their ability to make you feel so special, heard and safe during all of the COVID-19 protocols was especially important during these trying times. Even after my wedding, Marylu has been so quick and responsive to my needs with dress preservation questions. I began my wedding dress search with Ferri Formals just over a year before my wedding and very quickly found a gorgeous dress that I absolutely LOVED. I was so thrilled with how everything turned out with my dress. They picked out a dress for me I never thought I would like and the minute I tried it on I fell in love with it and just knew this was the one. Ferri’s consultant was so patient and knowledgeable and beyond helpful it was a wonderful experience. Their alterations department was also very accommodating and easy to work with. I was in contact with Ferri Formals and Bridal throughout COVID-19 restrictions as I wanted a specific dress they had in stock and FINALLY got to go in person last week. I had an amazing experience there and would do it all over again. The first dress I tried on was THE one I went for and knew instantly, but tried some others on for fun. Pat and I had a great time, she was so patient and kind. She found the perfect veil and earrings to match my dress and was so compassionate with not just me but my family. My Brides and Grooms and their families can not say enough good things about Ferri Formals and Bridals. As a Custom Wedding Officiant I share the entire wedding planning process with my couples and one of their highlights is of course, choosing their wedding attire. Couples seem to ALWAYS find their dream dress and outfits at Ferri's. The owner, Marylu, approaches her business with an unequalled expertise. She knows her inventory and can really listen to what her customer is looking for then she finds options that are the perfect fit. She seems to be able to work within any given budget. Marylu also regularly advertises all of her sales and deals. Finally, like a bow on an already beautiful package, the alterations she offers gives the individual as custom fit - just as it was made for them! Best of all, she does it all with heart, she really cares. I have seen her come with needle and thread and help a bride that had an accident on her wedding day. She is that good. I met MaryLu at a bridal show and made an appointment. Then I found a dress at another store and thought this is it but decided to keep my appointment and I am so glad I did. Not only did I find the PERFECT dress, MaryLu and the sales woman stayed late to make sure we had all of the necessary information to make a decision. I enjoyed shopping for a dress here more than I did at Kleinfeld’s! I wasn’t rushed, they were able to accommodate my short time frame and I received their undivided attention. There were numerous dresses in my size (plus), even on the sample rack which pleasantly surprised me. There were tons of options for me to try on. I can’t wait to wear my dress!!! My only suggestion would be actual fitting rooms instead of curtained areas. But the shop itself was small and cozy with dresses galore.

I seriously enjoyed my experience with Ferri Formals. My first appointment was with Katrina, who was so patient with me and my entourage. She helped nail down my style and we found "the one" within 5 dresses! The fitting went smoothly, however, being an out of towner it was difficult to get there during the week (which is when I was told they do their fittings/alterations). My first fitting happened on a week day but they were able to work with me to have my final fitting take place on a Saturday. The final product was a dress so beautiful and felt made for me. Tip: Do not eat a large lunch beforehand! It made my waist a little bigger than how it actually fit on my wedding day. This was absolutely not the fault of Ferri Formals :) and you really couldn't tell from the picture that I had a tiny bit of extra room in there. I referred an old colleague to Ferri Formals for her wedding day dress, so I hope she has a great experience as I did! Full tranparency to help other brides: I picked out several dresses around $1500-$1900 to try on. I fell in love without looking at the price. When I did, I saw that it was off the rack / sample size Stella York on sale for $299. I almost died..... My alterations cost more than the dress! They were around $600-700. I don't think I could have gotten a better deal anywhere on the planet....

We had a wonderful experience getting my gown, accessories, bridesmaids dresses and also tuxedos for my husband and his groomsmen at Ferri Formals. The day I picked out my dress they made me feel so special. They were well versed in styles, designers and accessories. The moment I put on my dress I cried, my family cried and even the woman helping me got teared up. It was amazing! My husband and I live out of state and the staff at Ferri Formals was always available over phone and so helpful! Everything was perfect for our wedding day. They recently cleaned and packaged my gown as well! I along with my husband highly recommend Ferri Formals. They are incredibly kind, accommodating, and knowledgeable.

I went to other bridal places before i went to Ferri Formals. I had an image in my head and all the other shops only got me what i thought i wanted in a dress. I went to Ferri formal and i was able to walk around and pick my own dresses that i wanted to try on. They make it easy and fun. So happy i went to them and found the dress of my dreams!

I don’t know where to begin. What an incredible experience from the moment I called to make an appointment to pick up my dress weeks before my wedding day! I am a Wedding and Event Florist and many of my brides have used Ferri Formals for their special day. They have such an incredible dress selection and again amazing staff. Do not go anywhere else for your big day this bridal shop will not disappoint.

Service and timing were great at this store. Dress came in fast and alterations came out perfect!

My mother and bridesmaids walked into the shop on a Thursday afternoon and felt like we were royally catered too! We had the private room upstairs for 3 hours and our attendant never got tired of hauling up dresses for me to try on that fit the style I was looking for. I have recommended my friends here and they also have found their dress with wonderful service. Fast forward to almost 4 years later while looking for a place to preserve my Allure lace wedding dress and not willing to send it to a cleaner that is going to charge me $300, I call up Ferri's and because I bought the dress there, they gladly stated they will clean and preserve it in a box for half the price of the other cleaners. When I walked in I saw the same friendly faces as years ago and they genuinely ere interested in my life now and asked to see my wedding pictures! Now that is true customer service with a smile!

I had the most AMAZING experience here. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. this we the first place I had tried on dresses. I was immediately greeted walking through the door and told to look around as they check on the room downstairs. I started pointing out dresses to my mom and as soon as the woman came back up she gathered every single dress I had asked for- like 15..seriously!! As we were getting ready to head downstairs the bride that was upstairs finished and my stylist said "change of plans, I love the upstairs room and so will you! I'm gonna grab the dresses and bring them up". the upstairs room is enormous and so beautiful! we spent about 2 and a half hours trying on dresses walking around in them, everything. they had cookies and water and my stylist made sure to ask me if I needed a break or wanted a snack every couple dresses. she ran around looking for the perfect tiara to go with one of the dresses. she was so complimentary of everything I tried on. she really boosted my confidence and helpful with everything! There were 3 dresses that I loved and couldn't decide so I went home and think about it. after looking at another shop, I did not end up purchasing my dress here but I couldn't not give a review because my stylist, Patty, was the absolute best and made my first time dress shopping an experience to rave about! I would definitely tell any bride dress shopping to go here!!

Ferris is amazing. The young woman I worked with was a doll. She listened, asked question, and really got to know what I wanted and liked. She actually picked out my dream dress that I bought. The first time I went I went alone. She made me feel so comfortable. The second time she not only was again amazing but also kind to my mom and best friend who I brought. The bridal suit to try on dresses is roomy, and beautiful. I will be going back for my bridesmaid dresses. I can't say thank you enough. If I could give more then 5 stars I would.

I would like to say that Ferri Formal has an affordable and gorgeous wedding dress selection. I had no issue finding my dream dress stop #1 and only had to try on 4 dresses before I fell in love. Ferri formals has wonderful helpful staff and I would highly recommend checking them out for your wedding dress. From start to finish they have been great.

Marylu is great to work with, very professional, and very sweet. She ensures that the bridal shopping experience is special and doesn't make you feel uncomfortable or pressured. We purchased a wedding dress, 7 bridesmaid dresses, and rented 7 groomsmen tuxedos and had no issues. She has a great selection, and the alterations were also very good. They are the best and I would choose them again in a heartbeat!

When I started my wedding dress search I had NO IDEA where to begin! Ferri formals is about a block from my house and it’s where I found my first prom dress so naturally I had to go again to look for my wedding dress. Compared to other salons I can definitely say they don’t try to force you into anything you don’t want to try, they give you their honest unbiased opinions and make you feel so comfortable. I had an amazing experience with Marylu. They had a huge selection of dresses and she helped me find exactly what I didn’t know I was looking for. Marylu was excellent about suggesting ways to fix the little things I was worried about or wanted to cover up. She found the perfect accessories that gave my dress the extra touches it needed. Marylu was very knowledgeable about the fabrics and structures of the different dresses when I was trying to narrow down my favorites. I highly recommend booking an appointment!

I really enjoyed my experience at Ferri Formals. I found my dream dress there and have to say the quality of the dress for the price was remarkable. The dress itself was gorgeous (I'm a bit biased) and easy to wear. I got so many compliments on my dress the day of my wedding, I never wanted to take it off. Additionally, the alterations were spot on (all done in shop). My only qualm about the salon was that there were several times I arrived having an appointment but the salon had no record of me having an appointment. With that being said, they still accommodated me on the spot. A few times, staff seemed confused or unsure of their duties which wasn't the most reassuring feeling as a bride, HOWEVER, the staff that did know what they were doing were absolutely AMAZING. Overall, I think the quality of the dresses and the price points are on point. My advice, if you are a type A bride like me is to just double check on everything and ask a lot of questions. In the long run, I was extremely pleased with my dress and service.

Great experience for wedding and bridal party dresses. We had an opportunity to work with several of the staff and they were all great. I think Kim picked out my say yes wedding gown perfectly. Debbie assisted the bridal party with measurements and design and was delightful! Mrs. Ferri did all my wedding gown alterations and I absolutely love and adore her!

I have always been a Say Yes to the Dress girl. For months I searched magazines and sites. I fell in love with a dress by Lillian West so began my search of shops that carried the dress. I spoke with the owner of Ferri Formals who was very nice and worked with me to find the dress and have the sample come to their store. I had already been to a few shops and didn’t get the right vibe to buy from them nor did they have my dream dress. When I entered Ferri Formals it was a different feeling I knew this is where I would get my dress unfortunately the sample was too small to fit into. It took a few more dresses and Marylu’s assurance that the dress that didn’t fit was my dress. They even helped me figure out my shoes during the fitting and one of the girls helped me with my earrings. I certainly recommend going there and taking advantage of the deals and advice they offer.

I can't thank the owner and staff at Ferri's enough!!! 16 days before my sisters out of state wedding we FINALLY received dresses we ordered from another local shop that were wrong! I called Ferri's in a panic and not really thinking they would help me since we didn't originally purchase there. To my surprise the owner was beyond understanding, super quick to call the designer and arrange for new dresses to be sent to her shop. I brought her the wrong dresses and she is getting us the right dresses!!! We leave for the wedding in 8 days. She has completely saved my baby sisters wedding!!! I will forever be thankful for her! She has gone above and beyond to help us clean up a disaster that she didn't cause.. solely out of the kindness of her heart!! A true amazing business owner!!! The shop was clean and gorgeous, everyone working was friendly and so graciously accommodating.

Ferri Formals was my first and only stop when looking for my wedding dress for my wedding on 3/24/18.I found the most beautiful Justin Alexander gown right off the rack . No special orders needed. Marylu has a beautiful shop with a beautiful selection of gowns for wedding, proms and special occasions. We had a bridal party of 6 Bridesmaids and 6 Groomsmen along with the father of the bride and groom they outfitted is all. Our wedding party couldn’t say enough about how wonderful and professional they were. Marylu, Kevin and the rest of the staff at Ferri Formals are truly amazing they make you feel like family. I am very glad I went to Ferri’s for my wedding gown! The had so many to choose from and I tried on different styles until I found the perfect one. They were so sweet and really took an interest in me during my appointment. I would recommend them to anyone!

I went to Ferri's on a whim while visiting my Mom for Thanksgiving. Best decision of the weekend because I found my dress!!!! Debbie was my consultant and she was beyond amazing. From the moment she greeted us at the door, she made me and my mom both feel instantly comfortable and she was attentive, personable, and professional. She listened to what I wanted, gave suggestions on things that may look well with the dress, and never pressured me into a decision! I was nervous to start bridal gown shopping but if I had known I would be working with someone like Debbie, I wouldn't have been nervous at all. She made the whole experience FUN!! Debbie was not the only pleasant one we had the chance to work with. Marylu helped us get the gown ordered and offered advice/insight when choosing a color and accessories to go along with the dress. My mother and I had a wonderful time at Ferri's and wouldn't hesitate to shop there again!

I said yes to my dress at Ferri Formals. I walked in thinking I knew exactly what I wanted, and the stylist who worked with me brought a few dresses that fit that bill before she suggested I try on something a little different. It was the perfect dress for me and I'm so glad that she took elements from my original vision and combined that with her expertise! Ferri also did an outstanding job with my alterations and bustle. Their staff is extremely friendly and professional. I received so many complements on my dress and I have them to thank!

I had such an amazing experience buying my wedding dress here. All the staff made everything so easy. When I first came into the shop, I didn’t know what style I wanted and they spent lots of time with me to help me figure out what I liked the most. The staff were very attentive and always made sure I felt comfortable with my decisions. The shop was great at communicating timing of dress ordering, dress arrival, and alterations. Alterations were done through the shop and came out great! I felt so beautiful in my dress on my wedding day and ferri formals made that feeling possible!

Ferri formals was a great salon to work with, we used Ferri's for the bridal gown, bridesmaid dresses and groomsmen suits. A few if the suits were late but everything worked out well. I found a dress online by a designer they carry and they were more than willing to order the dress and let me pick a different dress if I didn't like the one I ordered.

I cannot speak highly enough of my experience at Ferri Formals and Bridals in Schenectady. The selection of formal wear was exceptional and the service was superior when compared to the countless shops that I went to prior to Ferri’s. I sincerely enjoyed working with the entire staff from the beginning to the end of my experience there. I first began working with Patty. She was amazing and she listened to what I was in search of and then provided me with exactly that. I appreciated this because I kept finding that at other boutiques I would explain what it was that I wanted and then the employee would pull the opposite of what I described. It almost felt like a ploy to get you to settle for the next dress you tried on in your size that was remotely close to what you envisioned wearing. After being so discouraged and feeling as if I was wasting my time, it was extremely refreshing to feel respected at Ferri’s rather than feel treated like a walking dollar sign. That same evening, the search was over and I had found my wedding gown! Mayleen did an unbelievable job with my alterations and added ¾ sleeves onto my dress. She is incredibly talented and I was impressed with the quality of her work. Her sense of humor and honest opinions were also very helpful throughout the process. Marylu, the owner, was fantastic to work with. She was genuine, fair in her pricing, and gave me the feeling that she truly wanted me to find the dress of my dreams. Holly, as well as the rest of the staff, was knowledgeable, very sweet and well organized (which I LOVED). We also used Ferri’s for our bridesmaid’s dresses, mother of the bride dresses, and my sister found a stunning prom gown there. We would have rented tuxedos from there if we had not already put a deposit down elsewhere. The prices are so reasonable but their customer service and professionalism is what sets them apart from their competition. You will not be disappointed at Ferri Formals and Bridals!

We were so impressed with the service that we returned for attire another event!

Plenty of selection when looking for wedding dresses! They have everything from ball gowns to tons of lace. It took no time at all for me to find a dress that I loved. Unfortunately, some of their samples are really small (like a size 6) so it did make it difficult when trying things on. I also ordered the guy's tuxes from here. They had a huge selection of different colors and types, which made it easy to match colors. The alterations on the tuxes were okay, but two of them were altered too small.

As a plus-size bride, I was a little concerned that trying on wedding dresses would be stressful and difficult as most sample sizes carried in-store are 8-10. Before driving and hour and a half to their location, I called and was assured there would be dresses in my size. I was not disappointed! Marylu was beyond wonderful from beginning to end. She was patient and at no time was I pressured to make a decision I wasn't comfortable with. I ended up with the perfect dress that came in well under my budget. I highly recommend Ferri Formals to all brides!

Ferri Formals is such a great place. I got my wedding gown there, and couldn't have asked for a better experience. My first time there we had a private room and Patty helped me pick out and try on dresses. I had my mother and bridesmaid with me and they were so accommodating. I found THE PERFECT gown and couldn't have been happier. Minor alterations were needed and the seamstress was a miracle worker, really wonderful work! Everyone there is super friendly and when I picked up my dress before the big day I got a congratulation and a hug from Marylu. I would recommend this dress/bridal shop to anyone. They don't pressure you to buy and really make an effort to make your experience a great one!

Ferri Formals and Bridals was excellent. They helped me find a dress for hours and hours and never seemed to be pressuring me. They helped me find the dress of my dreams.

The staff at Ferri Formals and Bridals is truly amazing! They are so accommodating and truly know how to make a bride's vision come to life. They even incorporated my grandmother's headpiece into my veil which meant so much! The dress was so stunning as well - I received compliments all night. I would definitely choose to work with them again.

Smells musty and bridal selection is on 1st floor and 3rd floor which doesn't make selection easy. Then I had to carry my own dresses up to bridal suite on 3rd floor. After she let me rome throughout and pick dresses to try on, which they had beautiful selection and I was very excited, she told me to put one on. At every other stores I had been to they gave me undergarments and helped me put the dresses on. After failing to get 2 dresses over my head I started looking at the sizes and realized they had no sample sizes that were even close to fitting me. It was a huge waste of time and I really wish they had told me that before I came there and spend time picking out dresses that would never fit me. And why the consultant let me pick dresses she knew wouldn't fit me I also couldn't figure out. Bottom line is if your a size 8 or 10 maximum you can find a dress there. If not you're on your own.

Ferri Formals was amazing to work with. We got everything we needed (tuxes, bridesmaid dresses and the bridal gown) all at one place for a reasonable price. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience.

I loved everything about Ferry Formals and Bridals; this is the place to go for your dress! They have a great selection not only for wedding gowns but all of the formal wear dresses for any occasion! All of the wedding consultants are so sweet and helpful, especially Patty who I worked with. Patty is the sweetest person I have ever met; she made me feel so special and beautiful! I found my dream dress, and cannot wait to wear it! Thank you Patty! There aren't enough compliments in the world to describe how great of an experience it was working with Ferry Formals and Bridals. I will highly recommend this place!

We had the bridal dress, bridesmaid dresses, and tux's. Absolutely everything came out great. We deeply appreciate the extra time and care that was given to us by the shop. We've even got great pictures to prove every outfit came out perfect! Thanks!

I'm so glad I stopped in to Ferri Formals one afternoon to browse for bridal gowns and met Marylou. After trying on a few dresses, I still had one on my mind I had seen elseware a few days earlier. Marylou assured me she would find that dress for me, and she did. After alterations by her talented staff, I had the most beautiful wedding dress. I received nothing but rave comments about my dress throughout my entire wedding day. This same bridal shop had even custom made bridesmaids dresses for my sisters wedding many years ago. Thanks again Ferri Formals!

Staff is respectful and knowlegeable. Never felt pressured or like we were shopping in a "department store". They were very accomodating and made the experience fun. By the day of the wedding, we almost felt like they were family; Good value for the money.

We had the pleasure of working with many outstanding vendors to put on our wedding. Unfortunately, Ferri Formals & Bridals turned out not to be one of them. We used them for our tuxedo rentals for our wedding party and other participants in the wedding. However, it went downhill from there. Multiple groomsmen had issues with providing their measurements and payment information to place their orders. When the tux orders came in, shoes were missing for at least one groomsman, shirts were missing for two groomsmen, and the shirt style was incorrect for all of the rentals. Also, they made it very difficult for out-of-town groomsmen to return their tuxes after our Saturday night wedding because they are not open on Sunday and have no alternative return procedure. The staff did not seem to comprehend how it was not possible for our out-of-town groomsmen to return their tuxes on Monday when they were flying home on Sunday. Fortunately, my now mother-in-law volunteered to return all of the rentals. Overall, I would not recommend Ferri Formals & Bridals for tux rentals.

I had a vision of my dream wedding dress, a princess ball gown. I tried on about 7 princess dresses and decided that it was not the most flattering for my body type. Patty, the Ferri's store manager was helping me. She started pulling an assortment of dresses that I didn't initially pick. In her choices was my dream dress! Somehow Patty knew what I wanted before I did. I didn't want to buy the dress at the first store that I looked at. I went to Somthing Bleu, Angela's, The Bridal Gallery by Yvonne, Jocelyns and Apropo. Although many of the stores were nice, no other staff was as attentive and helpful as they are at Ferri's. My mom also bough her dress at Ferri's. The entire process was seamless from shopping, buying the dress and the fittings. Patty is fabulous and my experience at Ferri's was exceptional.

I was originally working with a girl at Ferri's who was so helpful and then she left her job. I had to stay on top of the store to see if my dress was in or not. The bridesmaid's dresses I ordered were huge and not true to size. I really like Ferri's, just be ready to nag them a little bit.

I was so incredibly happy with the service and selection of dresses Ferri Formals had to offer. I worked with Celeste and she understood what I was looking for, but also suggested dresses she thought would look good on my frame. I ended up selecting Celeste's pick, a gorgeous Enzoani Dabra ball gown. Between the dress, veil, accessories and alterations, everyone at Ferri Formals made me feel special and helped me find the perfect look for my wedding day! Thanks to Marylu, Celeste, and the rest of the staff, you all are amazing!

Ferri Formals was recommended to me though a friend who used them for her bridesmaid dresses and had a good experience with them.I have to say my experience was completely different. At first the staff were friendly when I went bridesmaid dress shopping with my mother and saw the dress I wanted my girls to wear for at my wedding....but before making a decision I wanted all my girls to see the dress and try it on. They agreed that they liked it. We ended up ordering Mackenzie Michaels dresses from the store in May 2013. The staff member who assisted us with the purchases wrote down the sizes and had everyone sign that all the information was correct and I was told the dresses would be in by the first week of July and that I would be contacted by someone at the store when the dresses were ready to be picked up. That is when the trouble started. The first weekend in July I had still heard nothing and decided to call the store. The woman who answered my call said that the production company was a little behind and that the dresses would be ready for pick up the last week in August. I informed my bridal party and my out of town bridesmaid was planning on coming in that last weekend in August to pick up her dress. Well, the last week in August rolled around and guess what, still not call about the dresses. I wasn't too concerned at that point because my wedding wasn't until November 2013, yet I called anyway and was told the same story and that the dresses would be ready mid-September. I explained to the woman on the phone that I have a bridesmaid that lives out of town and couldn't get her dress on a whim and if there was a specific date the dresses would be in. She said someone from the store would contact me. Mid-September came around and now I was getting concerned and called the store yet again to see what was going on with the dresses. Explained the same story over again and said I was getting concerned and frustrated that I was being told different stories and not given a date that yet was followed through by a staff member....that I felt I was being given a run-around. They made a note to contact the production company and call me back. They did call and left a message for me to call the store and so I did only to find out that the production company still was behind that they would be in the last week of September. Not to my surprise they were not ready. Long story short, I called again that last week of September and still no dresses. And once again, I expressed my concerns as my wedding was approaching quickly and I was worried my out of town bridesmaid would not have her dress in time. As a bride this was extremely stressful, not knowing if my girls would have their dresses in time to be altered before the wedding. The Bridesmaid dresses did not come in until mid-October. Two of the girls dresses were too big, in the book on Ferri's desk the sizes had been changed to the next size up without the girls knowing and my out of town bridesmaid's dress had a rip on the bust in the lace(3 inches). She had to fly back home and the store was closed the next day. She called to complain and find out what they could do to help, which was nothing. They were not taking any responsibility for the ripped merchandise. I called the store and asked to speak with the manager and explained to her how upset I was with the customer service. She apologized but was unwilling to assist in any way. Did not take any responsibility or accommodations.

I'm a big watcher of "Say Yes to the Dress" but I went to several stores before Ferri Formals and did not get the experience I thought I was supposed to. They have a great selection here and you feel like they care - you are allowed to browse through all the dresses but if you have something else in mind, they know the stock, and they help you into each... it was great! When I finally found my dress, there was a flower detail on the top that I didn't like, so one of the seamstresses just cut it off so I could get the full effect! They really want to make sure you have a great experience. I spent more than I wanted to, but with the experience, it was worth it.

I went to Ferri to try on a few dresses but knew in my heart I did not want to pay more than $800 for my dress. I was wearing it for 6 hours and thought about the kids starving across the world. So I tried on a dress that I LOVED, then looked at the price tag $1800. So as I promised myself I walked out. I loved our sales woman and she was not pushing in the least bit. I cut ties with the dress and moved on mentally but could not stop thinking about it. It was meant to be...the sales woman (cannot remember her name) called me 2 weeks later and the excitement in her voice was so sincere. The owner just put up a sample sale sign and she wanted me to have my dress! $400 later..I was in my dream dress.

My mom, myself, and my Maid of Honor came here on our first stop to try on dresses. I'd never tried on a wedding gown before so I was pretty open to lots of things. The staff was very kind in letting me try multiple dresses and I ended up finding THE DRESS on this very first appointment! In fact, I found two dresses: I ended up getting a short reception dress as well. That being said, make sure that when you go in for your first fitting, there is a seamstress there (apparently this is not how they typically schedule the first try-on). When I went in after my dresses first arrived, they simply put them on me and didn't seem to understand my horror that they looked sooo ill-fitting. When I came in two days later for an appointment with the seamstress she put me right at ease and showed me what she was planning to do to make the dresses fit in all the right places. They did let me come in a couple more times to try the dresses on with the jewelry and underthings I'd purchased which I appreciated. And they further helped me to box up the gown so that I could ship it to my destination for the wedding. Overall I'd say that Ferri is a great place to look when shopping for a wedding dress or bridesmaid dress. They have a huge selection and a very reasonable price range.

Patty was just fabulous at Ferri's! She is very patient and kind hearted. She listened to all of my wants in a dress and found the Perfect gown for me! We also purchased our bridesmaids' dresses here, mother of the brides dress, and grandmother of the bride dress. Fantastic place to do business!

Ferri was the only store I went to when I started shopping - I found "The Dress" on my first trip. Even when busy, this store does its very best to assure you the personal attention of a sales representative at all times. Despite not having an appointment my first time there, I was given a private changing room and the staff was excellent at gauging what types of dresses would look best on me (for reference I'm a curvy girl whose bottom is a size larger than all other body parts, so shopping can be difficult). They gave me a 20% discount price flat out on a designer dress that was initially out of my price range. The only minor issue I ever experienced with them was that when I went for my last fitting, not all of the adjustments needed had been completed, but the seamstress assigned to us was able to fix these details right there within 15 minutes (impressive considering it involved tucking in and removing some boning from a bodice). I loved every visit I made to this shop.

I walked into this dress shop discouraged from many visits to bridal shops without finding what I wanted, at a price I wanted to pay - and I have to say these people are amazing! They were warm and encouraging, helpful without being overbearing, never making me feel pressured. Gave me lots of time, gave helpful suggestions, stayed closeby while I was trying on (but didn't barge in while I was changing (that was at another shop!!!), helping me with whatever I needed. Other consultants in the store were supportive and encouraging as well, and even other customers chimed in a little, with a collaborative, friendly feeling in the store. The shop has TONS of dresses to choose from. Once she found what looked good on me, my consultant, Patti, went and found a dress she thought was just what I was looking for, and it was perfect. I brought my daughter back to see it on the spur of the moment - even just walking in without an appointment, they accommodated us, and were just as helpful as my first visit. And I did order the dress Patti picked for me! Their seamstresses are top notch, and made some beautiful adjustments to make this dress unique for me. I'm very particular about fit and they made it fit beautifully, and I felt absolutely spectacular in that dress! My entire experience there was pleasant, PLUS it gave me a great feeling to give my business to this small-town business owner. I will shop there every time I need a formal dress. I highly recommend them (especially Patti :-)

My mother and I went to a few different bridal shops before going to Ferri Formals. However, one of the reasons I loved the shop was because they were the only shop we went to in the Capital Region that let us look through the dresses ourselves. One of the reasons my dress was so special to me was because it was one my mother picked out. I choose my dress- Sophia Tolli by Mon Cheri. The designer happened to have my size in stock and it was in the shop within 2 weeks. I tried my dress on and it was perfect. I started alterations in September and after 1 fitting it was perfect. The shop was very personal and kind and I am so glad to have bought my dress with them.

On a whim to another bridal appointment, my bridal party and I stopped into Ferri Formals to look at dresses. Erin was the perfect person to wait on us. She was personable, attentive, and knew what looked good on what body types. In fact, she had a dress for me in mind, waited for another bride to finish with it, brought it down to me and it was perfect! Not at all a dress I thought would be flattering, and it was a dream. Had I not stopped in, I would have certainly missed out. And the best thing... it was more than $500 cheaper than my budget! Thank you Erin!!!!

Ferri Formal was the third bridal boutique I looked in and was very impressed with their wedding dress and bridal party dress selections. I also had my groomsman tuxes rented from them. The dresses were beautiful and the tuxes looked great. The communication within the shop is poor and we had to make several phone calls to make sure everything was on track. I would recommend this shop for the bride who is very organized herself.

We got everything at Ferri's. I got my wedding dress, bridesmaid dresses, tuxes and grandmother/ mother of the bride dress there. Everyone was very pleased with the service, dresses and alterations. The tuxes were the only part we were not totally pleased with. Almost all of the guys tuxes had something wroing whether it was the size or the shirt was dirty, etc.

The Women in this bridal salon were very kind and friendly. This quaint little store has so my kinds of styles and brand name dress in store and they usually can order others with enough head notice. They took such great care with my dress and the dresses of my wedding party. They do alterations right there in the store and the seamstress were very nice. They even do tuxes there in the store which Erin takes care of and the measurements were dead on for my husband and the groomsmen.

I was very impressed with Ferris Formals, their staff was very nice and they did not try and rush you out of the store. The area to try on dresses was private and you were not in the middle of the show room.

A nice bridal shop...not my first choice, but I stopped there on a whim without an appointment and they accommodated me. Erin (my consultant) was very friendly and helpful and patient and I ended up finding the perfect dress there. I left the shop without purchasing and brought my parents back with me a few hours later...and then again a few weeks later...like I said, they were patient! :) It isn't the most trendy or polished of places (more like a shop that's been there forever), but they have a good selection of dresses at very reasonable prices and like I had said, the consultants are friendly (unlike a shop I went to in Saratoga)...and of course I found the most beautiful dress :)

I was very pleased with their service there. I wanted something very different then what i saw in magazines. i want a short and simple dress and had gone many other places and no one had anything i wanted. this was the last place for the day and was just tried and disappointed. As soon I walked in they were right their to help me and were honest with me. they told me they only had one dress that might be the style i was looking for and that it was on clearance. as soon i saw it i knew it was the one.. i couldn't have been happier to had finally find my dress and to find out that it was only $100. I ended up getting all my bridesmaids dresses through them as well for a really great price. they were very down to earth and didn't make me feel like i had to get a dress i didn't like. i would defiantly recommend them any one that is looking for a dress and doesnt want to deal with the stress of finding a dress

Ferri Formals was fabulous to deal with from start to finish. I found my dress when I was with my bridesmaids looking for theirs. It was the first one I tried on, and they helped me even though I didn't have an appointment. Everyone was very helpful when I went for fittings and to pick up the dress. The entire staff at Ferri Formals was wonderful. Not only did I get my dress there -- which was absolutely amazing -- but all of my girls got their dresses and my husband, the groomsmen, both of our fathers, and my step-son got their suits there as well. The service was great (especially Erin!) and everyone looked perfect. :)
