Owned and operated by Tracy Labastida, Field to Table gets its name from Tracy’s life journey from a farmer turned chef. Though the company was started in August of 2013, our roots are deep in both agriculture as well as the kitchen. Our close ties with local farmers are vital to sourcing the fresh produce that we are so fortunate to have access to on the Central Coast.
We take pride in offering full service catering throughout the planning process and all the way through the day of the event. Because everyone’s vision and palate are truly unique, our menus are customized for every client. From menu crafting, tastings, walk-throughs, food service, and the smallest of details, Field to Table Catering & Events will be your concierge, directing you from beginning to end, from planning to clean-up.

Where to begin.... Field to Table is the most delicious event and wedding catering you've ever tried. They curated a custom menu for us based on our food taste, and their chefs can literally whip up anything... and it's always delicious. We knew once we had our tasting that we had hit a home run. And of course, our guests are still talking about the fantastic food at our wedding to this day saying that it's the best wedding food they've ever had. Highly recommend!!!
Field to Table catered my wedding this past summer! Working with them was an amazing flawless experience. From the food tasting, to changing up the menu, to working with us for kids meals and allergies, to wedding day everything was perfect. ALL of our guests say it was the best meal they have every had in general let alone at a wedding. 10/10 I would use them. I am dreaming of the next event where I get to taste their food.
worth every penny. not only did we have an incredible tasting with them in their amazing tasting room but the food they executed at our wedding for 115 people (plated) tasted and looked like we were at a 5 star restaurant. They pulled together the most delicious custom menu based off our dietary preferences and favorite dishes - Several of our guests said it was the best food they've ever had at a wedding...and folks couldn't stop raving about the beautiful charcuterie table.

My husband and I wanted to do a wedding weekend experience for our wedding which included a rehearsal dinner, cocktail hour and reception for the wedding, and a farewell brunch the morning after. We were told by our wedding planner that Field to Table was the best of the best, and they definitely delivered! They curated menus for all three events for us; sticking to the themes and requests that we had (our rehearsal was on Cinco de Mayo and therefore we had a taco bar setup), and had no problem making changes to certain items that we didn't feel were fully "us". We got to have a private tasting to try out our proposed menu and we were blown away by the food. The private tasting was an intimate experience where we felt special by the cutest touches they added like a customized menu and writing of our names on a welcome chalkboard. All of the food was seriously so amazing - like 5 star worthy amazing. The whole team at Field to Table was easy to work with and shared in our excitement for the entire weekend. We often bragged to our friends and family about our wedding food, and to "just wait until they tried it!" We are still dreaming about many of the dishes they curated for our big day and we wish they had a restaurant so we could keep enjoying their food.
We absolutely loved FTT Catering. Not only was the food "the best wedding food" our guests have ever had, but their service was incredible. From the very beginning they delivered exceptional communication and made us feel so special. They worked with us on menu revisions until it was just perfect - and then they delivered the most insane meal. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed working with the entire Field to Table team and their food and presentation is top-notch! We worked with Alex to plan all the details and he was so helpful along the way. He worked closely with us to answer all our questions and give advice, and he and the chef helped us come up with a menu that was exactly what we wanted. We wanted to have burgers/fries/salad and they helped create a menu that was elevated and beautifully presented! All of the food was really delicious and all of our guests loved it! And so many people were talking about the delicious mac n’ cheese! The burgers looked beautiful and were very tasty, the salad was creative and so good, and fries and dipping sauces were delish! And our appetizers were so yummy and fun! We had chicken and waffles with a thyme syrup, crab cakes, a burrata tomato toast and a brie/jam puff pastry. The team is so great because they are open to exploring ideas and menus that are creative and true to the couple.
On the day of the wedding, everything ran very smoothly and the staff onsite were so great, friendly and professional, and we are so happy with how it all turned out. The team was very helpful and accommodating from the planning process all the way through the wedding day, and we are so happy we worked with Field to Table. Thank you to Alex, the chefs and the whole onsite team for making our dream wedding meal and vibe a reality!
Field to Table is spectacular! This is THE caterer to work with if you are having an event or getting married on the Central Coast. Like many other couples, we were a Covid couple that had to change their date 3 times, and Field to Table stuck with us through it all! Alex and his team are next level with their execution, professionalism and responsiveness. Their local and farm to table style dining is mouth-watering delicious. Our family and friends are still talking about how beautiful and exceptional the appetizers and dinner were. They voted that we had the best wedding meal ever! This coming from a ton of fellow dietitians and foodies!!! We did family style dining and everything was flawless. Their staff is lovely. All of our fellow vendors could not speak highly enough as well of them and were stoked to be having dinner with them. They are worth the splurge. We can’t recommend them enough and will definitely be hiring them for future events.
Field To Table Catering was the first wedding pro we booked after picking our wedding date. I'd eaten their food at other weddings before, and it was always incredible, especially for wedding meals, which aren't always that great because of the production on a large scale. But time and again, I enjoyed some of the tastiest dishes at weddings where Field To Table was the caterer! So we booked them as soon as we could for our own wedding day.
At our tasting a few months before the wedding, I knew I'd be happy with our menu, but my now-husband, dad, and wedding planner were also loving each course that came out of the kitchen.
Field To Table's kitchen and tasting room in Nipomo is so lovely and a comfy, welcoming environment. It was such a great part of the planning process to meet with Alex and Tracy to preview our wedding day menu! I legitimately dreamed about our appetizer choices (coconut milk ceviche, goat cheese croquettes, and ahi poke were our faves) and the second course of macadamia nut crusted mahi mahi with corn risotto -- just TYPING that makes me hungry for one of the most delicious dishes ever! At the wedding, I wouldn't let servers clear my plate because I wanted to finish my risotto after getting pulled away for portraits and our first dance, haha!
Field To Table also catered our rehearsal dinner (our guests couldn't stop complimenting the zuppa toscana as the best soup they'd ever had!) and late-night snacks at the wedding. My husband and I stood over the kitchen island at our venue after all our guests had left and enjoyed the leftover grilled cheese sandwiches with tomato soup -- YUM. I might have just been hungry after all the excitement of the evening, but I'm convinced that was the best grilled cheese sandwich I've ever tasted.
I'm pretty sure our families will be talking about the food for years to come; Field To Table delivered the most incredible experience for our beloved guests, and we'll be forever grateful to them for taking such good care of us!! They went above and beyond, and I enthusiastically recommend them to ANYONE and EVERYONE hosting a wedding or event on the central coast of California.
It’s been weeks and we are still getting compliments on our food! They were a JOY to work with and top quality! They truly are amazing!!!
The food this catering company created for our wedding was like something from a 5 Star restaurant. They worked with us for months dialing in the most eloquent and perfect menu that beyond impressed our guests and was served beautifully in family-style. Our guests mentioned several times how amazing the food was, and we could not agree more. They are the best of the best on the Central Coast, hands down and so professional. Highly recommend!
