Great service and great food!! All my guests have largely complemented on the food and there were plenty of gluten free options! I requested for them to cut my cake and they were able to with a fixed fee of $150. Loved them!

HomeTeam BBQ is the BEST! It is a favorite in Charleston to begin with, but to have them cater our wedding was actually a dream. Communication was absolutely perfect, very fast response times too. The cost was definitely up there but you get what you pay for! We were very happy with everything.

We were so happy with Home Team BBQ catering for our wedding! We specifically went with them over other local BBQs because their experience doing weddings, ability to do passed apps, and their versatility with dietary restrictions. And of course, the food is absolutely delicious!! So many of our guests told us that one of their favorite parts of the wedding was the food. Additionally, Katie and Bo were super communicative, answering all our questions in a timely manner and even helping us adjust our order as our guest count changed to help us with our budget. They even were able to add options for some of our vegan guests, which is incredibly impressive for a BBQ establishment. Katie herself, was incredibly sweet, personally serving us for cocktail hour and during the cake cutting. My only regret was not ordering everything on the menu because each dish tasted just as good at the tasting as it did on the official day of the wedding. Thank goodness there is a restaurant so that we can continue to enjoy their hospitality after the event. Highly recommend!

We hired the Home Team BBQ catering team to handle our dinner for our wedding day. From day 1, they were super flexible and absolutely a breeze to work with. They dealt with my (many) changes to make our menu perfect, including some very last-minute changes. They also provided our favors (BBQ sauce) and were super quick to assist in any way we needed. They were always very responsive--we received replies within a few hours. We can't recommend this team enough to help with your big day!

They are AMAZING! We received multiple compliments about the food and they were definitely the most reasonably priced caterer my husband and I could find in the Charleston area. They always emailed me back quickly and were super helpful in every way. They accommodated our venue space (the Carolina Girl yacht) with ease.

We were recommended by a friend to try them out so we scheduled a taste testing. During the taste testing, they were very nice and gave us options so we can create the menu we wanted for our wedding. Their food is delicious so we had to book them for our wedding. Seems like our guests agreed because our guests kept complimenting the food and lots of them went for seconds. They are also very accommodating. A few of my family members have celiac and they were kind enough to set aside meat just for them. Of course, we brought gluten-free food for them as well, but it was nice they still were able to ensure the meat was separate from any of the gluten food to avoid cross-contamination. We worked with Bo Benedict and his team and they were so professional. Bo even went around to the guests to make sure everyone was happy with their food or if they needed anything. If you want barbeque at your wedding, definitely recommend using Home Team BBQ.

We visited Home Team BBQ for a tasting when we were still deciding on caterers for our wedding and quickly made our decision! John and Bo at Home Team answered any questions we had an were extremely nice to work with when we stopped in for our tasting. We ended up getting the chip/dips bar and the tostadas for cocktail hour and they were a hit! The brisket, chicken, mac and cheese and collards for dinner were amazing as well. The brisket was extremely tender and the mac and cheese is just unreal. All of our guests have been raving about the food and our friends immediately went back for lunch the next day to try more food. Thank you again to the Home Team staff for being so easy to work with and for making amazing food at our wedding!

Home Team did an awesome job for our wedding. Meeting with us for our tasting, we really felt like they were going to take care of us and they delivered! All our guests loved the food!! John worked with me during our planning process and did a great job communicating with me leading up to our wedding as well as my day-of coordinator the month of and day of our wedding. He made sure everything was taken care of and the day went smoothly. I think their prices are much better compared to other catering companies in the area. I would definitely recommend Home Team BBQ to anyone having a wedding or event!!

Hometeam BBQ did a great job catering our backyard wedding this past October. They were extremely helpful in suggesting the correct amount of food for our guest list. On the day of, they did a great job of serving appetizers during our cocktail hour and then shifting into a full BBQ buffet. It started raining about half way through the afternoon and they did a great job of making sure the food was covered up and protected from the elements. They also did a great job of assisting with cleanup, which our wedding coordinator greatly appreciated! Overall, we were very happy with Hometeam’s service at our wedding!

We wanted our wedding to be romantic but still feel like a fun party, so we thought we could best accomplish this by getting food that we already love. Home Team was fantastic to work with. We had a few requests (nacho bar, dry run wings) that just weren’t meant to be, but everything else worked out. We worked with Ashley and Amber who were both great. They ever agreed to pack up small dessert plates we provided on our own at the end of the night with no additional fee. The food set up looked beautiful (clean and neat).

Pros: The food taste really good and all of my guests loved what we chose. The servers were very nice! Home Team was always responsive to emails and calls. All food left over was packaged for us! Cons: They only offer 2 hours of service time (Please read that in the contract). We thought they may throw in an extra hour since we ordered appetizers for the cocktail hour from them, but they were not flexible. We did not get to try any appetizers.

We used Home Team for the catering at our wedding and it was absolutely perfect. We had pulled pork, pulled chicken, baked beans, and mac and cheese. Everyone had more than enough food and we even got to take home leftovers! They also provide paper goods and bring sweet tea as well which was a nice touch. Also, if you've never had their mac and cheese, it's a must-try. Seriously...it's the best.

Home Team BBQ was one of the best choices we made in planning our entire wedding! In need of catering for our Welcome Dinner, we wanted something casual and delicious. We hit the jackpot with Home Team! From the initial tasting to the menu planning, the entire Home Team staff was a pleasure to work with. Hope and her staff gave great recommendations and really worked with us to make sure we had the perfect amount of food and staffing for our event. When the day finally arrived for our Welcome Dinner, the Home Team staff that catered the event could not have been more professional and friendly. The set-up was perfect and the service was flawless. The food was also a huge hit! We had countless guests approach us and tell us that this was the best BBQ they had ever had. I highly recommend considering Home Team BBQ for your catering needs. You will not find better BBQ or better service in Charleston!

We are still receiving compliments about the food from our wedding. The BBQ from Home Team is to die for! Seriously, it's the best in Charleston. If you're looking for good southern comfort food this is it. The only down fall is that they do not serve the food themselves, but the cost of the food is so inexpensive that it makes up for finding servers. You also have to rent china and silverware from your rental company. However, they do provide plastic if that's what you're looking for. We knew this before booking so it was not an issue. We were extremely satisfied with our food. It was hot throughout the entire buffet time and there were plenty of leftovers, which they kindly boxed for us ( and made for some amazing pre honeymoon meals). Our guests went back for seconds and thirds in the buffet. We're so happy with our decision to use Home Team BBQ for our wedding.

My husband and I frequent Home Team BBQ and I knew that I wanted them to cater our reception from the beginning. They turned out to be very economical, too. The food was all prepared on-site, so it was fresh and delicious. And there was more than enough for everyone to have seconds. My husband and I even got to enjoy the leftovers for the next week after the wedding. Their food never disappoints, and this was not an exception.

We wanted something local for our wedding, and this hit the spot! When visiting Charleston to find our venue, we stopped by and got a platter with different meats and sides to sample everything. We decided on the pulled pork, dry rubbed chicken, gouda mac & cheese, potato salad, and baked beans. We had 4 sauces- original, sweet, white, and mustard. Everyone loved the food, and it wasn't pretentious or anything. It was really, really good. My only suggestion would be to order a little less than what you need, as we had lots of leftovers. (Not because it wasn't delicious, but because bbq catering tends to come with a lot!) We can't wait to come back to Charleston and eat at Home Team again!

We used Home Team for our rehearsal dinner on Folly Beach. The wings are amazing & don't forget the Alabama white sauce! We had BBQ, low country boil, Gouda Mac n cheese, cole slaw & baked beans. The service was great & very professional. It was the perfect meal for a low key rehearsal dinner. Highly recommend. & if not at least go by & check out the wings...best ever.

Home Team provided our food and bartending services for our plantation wedding. We had pulled pork, collard greens, cucumber/tomato salad, and poppy seed slaw. The bbq was the best I have EVER had! So good. The staff wrapped up the extras for us to take home. The staff and food were both excellent.

I hired Home Team BBQ for my casual wedding on IOP. They catered, pulled pork & dry rubbed chicken, mac n cheese, baked beans, cole slaw and banana pudding. Catering included sweet & unsweet tea, all paper goods, ice, buns and an array of BBQ sauces. Catering manager Hope was awesome to work with, and the two caterers who came the day of were very friendly. They made the best of a small space where almost everything is permanently screwed to the floor. The leftovers were packed up for us and left in the refrigerators. The leftovers were quickly used for midnight snacks and brunch the following morning. This is some amazing food. I made sure I made time to sit down and savor some at the reception.

Home Team BBQ and Hope were amazing! The food was awesome!! Everyone raved about this food and could not stop talking about it for weeks! We absolutely loved the feeling that we received as soon as we walked into their restaurant, they made us feel so welcomed and so much at home! The beef brisket and chicken was cooked perfectly and had the most amazing flavor! The mac and cheese of course is world class and to die for along with the Tomato and Cucumber Salad!! AWESOME!!! Cannot wait to go back to Charleston to eat at Home Team!

wanted barbeque at our reception and Home Team delivered great barbeque and sides at a great price. Also had waiters that helped throughout reception and cleaned up afterwards too.
