Chad first moved to Portland as an intern with the famous Portland Brewing Company. He realized that the one thing the city was missing was a decent ice cream shop and decided to trade brewing beer for dessert-making. A self-confessed ‘food science nerd’ Chad developed his own selection of flavors using local ingredients and cage-free egg yolks for superior taste and texture. Since starting Fifty Licks Ice Cream, he has opened three stores across Portland as well as providing on-location catering to private events of all sizes.
