If you are looking for gorgeous invitations, look no further than Fingers in Ink! I feel so lucky to have found Nicole and am so very grateful for her meticulous eye for design and beauty. She provided me a series of mock ups, gave me what I asked for as well as a few other suggestions and one or two wild cards and I chose the wild card! She was mindful of my budget, provided great advice on where to spend and where to save and delivered for me what were the most beautiful and perfect invitations, menus and thank you cards quickly and while redoing her studio. Nicole is so wonderful and easy to work with that I feel compelled to throw a party just so I can work with her again!I highly recommend Fingers in Ink.
Fingers in Ink is the best in the stationary business! I was given Nicole's contact information after someone who had hired her for their wedding overheard me stressing about our invitations for the wedding. From the moment my fiance and I met Nicole at her shop, we knew we wanted to work with her. She showed us binders full of her work, as well as noted she could design anything we wanted. We decided on a DC theme using our engagement photos for the save the dates and sketches of DC monuments on various pieces of the invitation suite. Nicole was patient and helpful in working to create our vision within our budget. The final products were stunning, and so many of our guests complimented the work, especially the RSVP postcards. Nicole is nothing less than kind, neat, punctual and professional with everything she does. She made the entire wedding invitation process fun and stress-free. Our highest recommendation for a creative professional that can be trusted with your most important events.
Based on other reviews, I very disappointed with the experience we had with Fingers in Ink. We hired Fingers in Ink for our save the dates and wedding invitations. Our first meeting with Nicole went well, and we developed a game plan for our save the dates. Afer that, our experiences started quickly going south. There was a real lack of urgency on Nicole's end to respond to simple requests and tweaks to our save the dates. Turn around times for small changes such as a different font took over a week, and when the product was returned, it was a completely different layout. She let us know that she didn't understand the instructions from our planner so instead of reaching out to me (she had my direct info) or my planner, she did what she thought, and it wasn't what we had requested. Due to this, we lost another week on our save the dates and were behind in production schedule once again. Once we received the product, they looked fine, and we sent them out to our guests. She also let us know that one save the date "just didn't print right," so she would send it to be reprinted. After arriving at her store, I asked to see the save the date, and the printing was fine -- she just misspelled out guest's name, and it needed to be corrected. The guest's name was spelled correctly on the correspondence that we provided to her. While all of that was frustrating, the real icing on the cake was the quality of our save the dates. After sending them out, we heard back from 20+ guests within just the first few days that their save the dates were completely torn up and didn't hold up in the mail. So, after long wait times and going back and forth to get things right, the overall quality of the materials used was poor and left us with torn and ugly save the dates. We are extremely disappointed as these were the first correspondence of our wedding to our guests and really the first thing to set the tone. Our planner reached out to Nicole to let her know of our dissatisfaction, and she offered to reprint the torn save the dates. We let her know that it was already too late in our timeline to wait for a reprint and asked for a refund. She agreed to give us a refund if we agreed not to review her services. We simply declined as we felt it was important to review our experience. The worst part of this all is that the vendor never reached out to my fiance and me to apologize for all of this.
I contacted Nicole recently in order to get wedding invitations for my upcoming summer wedding. Although Nicole appeared friendly and professional at our initial meeting, she did not follow through with what she said she would provide. After Nicole met with me and told me she would provide proofs via email, I did not hear from her for almost two weeks. I then called her to follow up and she seemed confused about who I was and then stated that she already sent them to me. When I told her that I never received them, she said that she would send me a test email from another account and then send me the proofs. After she sent me the test email and I confirmed that I received it but still had not received the proofs, I never heard back from her. I called her back and left her a voicemail but never heard back. I made one last attempt a couple of days later asking if she could provide me with a date when she could send me the proofs. That was almost two weeks ago and I have still not heard back. Due to her wasting almost a month of my time, I now have to start over and find someone else for invitations. It's fine if she didn't want to provide us with invitations but she should have just communicated that to us rather than just ignoring me. I would therefore not recommend her for wedding invitations.
Nicole Fingers of Fingers In Ink is the epitome of professionalism and class. She is accommodating, creative, and talented in her ability to design and capture the vision for any invitation. She recently did all of the design and printing for my wedding suite, including invitations, personalized stationary, escort cards, seating menu, program, and bridesmaids gifts. The suite was sheer perfection and Nicole was an utter delight to work with. If you are looking for a easy, enjoyable vendor for your upcoming special event invitations and printing needs, you need not look any further than Fingers In Ink. You won't be disappointed!
It was a pleasure to work with Nicole of Fingers in Ink! She made us feel right at home in her shop and made an effort to get to know our style and likes. Once we finally chose our design, she was very helpful by showing us proofs in various color combinations/fonts until we find the one we loved. Couldn't recommend Nicole more!!

We used Nicole at Fingers in Ink for all of our wedding stationary needs and could not have been more thrilled with the finished product. Upon our initial meeting with Nicole we knew right away that she was the right person to trust with our wedding invitations. Nicole listened to what we wanted, showed us hundreds of samples she has created along with font types, paper styles and colors. My husband and I could not find anything online that fit exactly what we wanted, whether it be paper weight, design
