My wife and I worked with Finishing Touch for our wedding in March 2024. I can't say enough great things about the quality of work and expertise Sandra and her team had from start to finish. One of the most remarkable aspects of our experience was the impeccable organization and coordination. Every element of our wedding, from the food vendor to the floral arrangements, was meticulously planned and flawlessly executed. During the wedding day I didn't even have to think, Sandra and her team had everything outlined and prepared. There was a moment where we sat down at our Sweetheart table to start the main reception and I had a thought, "I need to head to the bar to get myself and wife a drink." Right at the end of that thought I had one of her staff deliver us our plates of dinner along and asked what drinks we wanted. Within what felt like seconds our cocktails magically appeared. I know it's small but at that moment we felt pretty darn spoiled and taken care of. Because Sandra and her team were so attentive it really allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the joy of our Big Day. Also big shout out to Sandra for helping us resolve a small family situation. We had a service drop off our Chinese Grandma (94 years old) but they dropped her off like 45 mins early at the venue while we were taking pictures elsewhere. Grandma was with a family member who doesn't speak Cantonese so they were both confused on what to do and where to go. Sandra rushed over to them and spoke to Grandma in Cantonese and handled the situation. That's the level of care you'll get from Finishing Touch. From the start we were impressed with Sandra’s professionalism, expertise and calming presence. Neither of us have any experience with event planning, let alone planning a destination wedding(!!), but Sandra and team made everything easy and FUN. They took our vision for the wedding and made it even better than we could have imagined. Throughout our entire wedding process, my husband and I kept saying Sandra was the best decision we made. We found Sandra by researching online but realized that she had done two different weddings of people that we know in Asia. Our Hawaii wedding was a destination wedding for us and we started planning one year out, so we interacted with Sandra over a twelve month period over many emails and Zoom calls. Sandra and Kandis were absolutely fantastic from start to finish. I really don't know what we would've done without Finishing Touch. A couple of things that really stood out: They got my vision completely and tried to work within our budget. I liked that Sandra wasn't pushy with anything. I never felt like she was trying to make me spend more than I wanted. She was extremely responsive (I had heard horror stories of planners in Italy for example not responding to emails for an entire month). She was very thorough in answering all of our questions and always provided alternative options/solutions. She is also very detail oriented so I never had to worry that anything would fall through the cracks. They are process-oriented, which I appreciated. Given our planning process was a year-long, I liked how there was a rough timeline, i.e. there were certain decisions that could be made early on but there were also certain things that had to wait closer to the date. Sandra made sure we hit all those milestones and got all the prep work done in a timely manner. I really appreciated the questionnaires she made us fill out as it really helped nail down a lot of the details, especially things that I hadn't thought about. Their execution on the day of was flawless. I've been to weddings where I've seen the bride stressed out on the day of her wedding. I was determined not to be like that and Sandra and her team made that possible. I didn't have to worry about a single thing and the entire schedule ran smoothly. It was truly stress-free and that was all possible thanks to Finishing Touch. Lastly, the vendors she recommended were all excellent. I was skeptical about a few since we hadn't done a trial with some of them, i.e. we hadn't really heard the band sing live before, but we were blown away by all the vendors. They were all excellent and you could tell that they've worked with Finishing Touch many times before. We received so many compliments on our wedding and you can see from the photos how beautiful it was! Finishing Touch is really worth every penny, especially if you are looking to do a destination wedding. I enjoyed working with Sandra and her team so much and highly highly recommend her to anyone looking for a planner in Hawaii!

We are so glad we went with Finishing Touch for our wedding. Sandra and her team did an incredible job, specifically they executed the wedding day and surrounding events flawlessly. Sandra was fantastic at rehearsal and directed the wedding party accordingly. We also saw Sandra overseeing the tent and chair set up the day of the wedding. It was really a wonderful feeling to show up at our wedding events and see everything come together perfectly. Our wedding weekend was truly amazing. Everything we envisioned came to life and all the events went seamlessly. We were truly impressed by how everything turned out - Finishing Touch was really able to understand our vision and design ideas and executed them to perfection! Sandra is worth every. penny. She planned and designed me wedding on Oahu while we were living in Washington. I thought I had a pretty general idea of what I wanted my wedding to look like, but it turns out I didn't because Sandra asked me so many questions about the small details I would have forgotten. I am not sure where to even begin at how much joy and happiness filled my year during the entire wedding process. I wish I could relive the year of 2022 all over again up until my wedding day. I can honestly say It was literally the best day of my life. Every single detail was exactly what I envisioned my day would be and it was all thanks to the Finishing Touch team. It's been almost a year since our wedding and my husband and I still say that choosing Sandra as our wedding planner was the best decision we made for our wedding. When our daughter and her fiancé decided they wanted to have a Hawaiian wedding with us living in the Southeast, we knew we had to have an excellent, local, wedding planner. I recieved some recommendations from a resort on Oahu. It was in the height of covid, but only 2 out of the 10 people I called returned my call. One of the two was Sandra of Finishing Touch. Based on a brief phone call, we decided to take a risk and hire Sandra. Sandra and her team exceeded our expectations! Neither my daughter nor myself have Pinterest or had any dream wedding ideas. Because of our lack of input, we made Sandra's job so much harder, although she never complained. We were not able to visit the site, taste the food, meet the hair and makeup person, photographer, hear the band in person, etc. We had to trust Sandra's advice. We were blown away by every choice she made. The hair and makeup girl (Mai Tokioka) made us all the very best versions of ourselves. We had the most relaxing day getting ready because of her! Sandra had everything and everyone perfectly timed. Everyone reached out to us; we didn't have to worry about anything. The photographer and videographers made everyone feel comfortable. The venue was perfectly beautiful. The flowers were the most beautiful flowers we had ever seen. The food was divine. The staff was so professional and attentive and the band was AMAZING! Everyone who attended said it was the best wedding they had ever been to! We could not have been happier! Sandra is professional, detail oriented, very knowledgeable, and a calm and calming person. She knows Hawaiian venues and the vendors. We had a few things happen that we were concerned about (truly acts of God) and Sandra calmed us down and had the perfect solution. We cannot recommend Sandra and Lei of Finishing Touch more highly!

My friend recommended Finishing Touch to me and I am soooo happy I listened to her. Sandra and her team are absolutely amazing at what they do. She is super friendly and easy to talk to / work with, which made the whole planning process a breeze. We had begun our planning Dec 2019 for a March 2021 wedding, but as we all know covid hit. Although we didn't get our big celebration in 2021, she still offered some help for our mini backyard wedding by keeping me in communication with some of the vendors that I still wanted to use for our mini celebration. Also I just want to add in what a challenge it must've been for them to plan all these weddings during covid due to all the rollercoaster of changes in regulations that needed to be followed. But they continued to keep us in high spirits and were so organized in keeping us updated and moving our wedding date with the vendors. I didn't even have to do anything, but tell her which new date I wanted to postpone to! And in 2022 that's when we had our dream (second) wedding at Lanikuhonua. There was no way I could have pull off everything they did for a venue that provides nothing, but a big open space with a breathtaking sunset. The amount of details and logistics they had to provide seemed so effortless. Sandra basically asks you what you want for your wedding and makes it 10x better than you could have expected. For example, I didn't even think about how the table setting would be or even look like, she just gathered a dinner menu, our favors, and a name place card from me and she added in a little sprig and had the napkins folded a certain way, she even ordered gold utensils! They truly add in their own little finishing touches and it truly makes all the difference. One thing that impressed me the most was the behind the scenes action. So we had an open bar and bought all our beverages from Costco and my husband and I thought we knew our guests drink preferences well, but clearly not! Of course they all went for the hard liquor, which we were almost out of before the reception even begun! But here comes Sandra behind the scenes sending one of her team members to make an alcohol run for us so that we wouldn't run out. I was so impressed. And I only found out because my mom told me later about it. Crazy right?! And we all know how important alcohol can be at a wedding, lol. There really isn't anything bad I can say about Finishing Touch. They are a bit on the pricier side, but in all honesty SO worth it. The amount of planning, designing, and coordination they put into weddings is phenomenal and I would not have had it any other way. On that note, if you want the wedding of your dreams, save yourself some time and hire Sandra and her team! We truly appreciate and are so lucky to have had her. Thank you!

Lei and Sandra were a dream to work with and we would not have been able to have the wedding of our dreams without them! In the early stages of planning we were hyper focused on cost savings and were going to try to do most of the planning ourselves, but our venue required a day of coordinator. Finishing Touch was highly recommended by a friend of the family and so we reached out. They were very professional, fair and honest laying out all of our options. After consulting with them, we decided to do the full wedding planning service and when all was said and done, were so thankful for that decision. They helped us through postponing our wedding and were always so hopeful and professional while we navigated through our emotions. Within three days of meeting with them to discuss our postponement they had taken care of everything and we had a new wedding date! I cannot say enough amazing things about these two ladies. They truly were a blessing to work with and I would recommend them times 1000 to anyone planning a wedding in Hawaii. Professional, organized, genuine, kind hearted, simply a dream! I was lucky enough to watch Sandra work when I was a bridesmaid for my cousin's wedding. I knew from the get go that she was someone of another caliber; she is someone who gets the job done and the problems dealt with, all without interfering with the bridal party. One thing that stuck out most to me was when the father of the groom requested seat and table changes to accommodate guests. This was a very formal wedding, so even the tiniest mishandling could make a world of problems. Also, how do you rearrange seating while people are already in their seats? I got stressed out as a third party person! Needless to say, she snapped her fingers, and everyone was none the wiser. Fast forward to my wedding, I knew I wanted her, but I didn't know if my laidback super casual wedding could warrant her expertise; it felt beneath her almost! I reached out to her a month prior to the big day, thinking I needed only a day of coordinator. After reviewing what I had planned so far (I had secured only the venue, videographer, photographer, and caterer), she let me down gently, stating that I need something more of a wedding planner. I couldn't imagine how much work it would be to decorate a place to my standards, thinking I'd be ok with anything, so it took me a minute to consider taking her on. It was seriously the best decision my hubs and I ever made. The thirty days leading up to our day consisted of her emailing me invoices and me responding with credit card info and signatures. I did this all at work, so it was no sweat off my back. I gave her full rein and she did a great job helping me stay within my budget. Day of, I had three venues for the day from 1pm-1am, and Sandra was there for much longer than I expected and she kept me right on schedule. At one point, there was a dress fiasco, and the zipper on my skirt busted open. One of her team members ran off and came back with a sewing kit. Sandra and her team are always prepared and they have everything under control to a T. This is definitely confirmed in the other reviews. Overall, I cannot relate to the bad reviews here. If I had to say something bad, it would be that I wish she could've just forged my signatures and filled in all my credit card info for me. I honestly could've given her a checkbook that was presigned and dated, but I am thirsty for miles and points. That is how much (or little) I would have wanted to be involved in the planning process. Obviously, that is unrealistic and likely illegal, so all you brides and grooms out there find a solution for this if you're at all anything like me. I cannot recommend Finishing Touch enough. She definitely seemed pricey at the start, but the amount of money and time she will save you with her expertise and knowledge of the industry surpasses her fees. Every invoice she gave me was half or lower than the amount I expected for all these vendors. Also, she will ask all the questions you are too afraid to ask before you think to ask them. To end, most brides book their wedding planners a year out. I hired her a month out. Logically, I would have had to pay her more than the person who booked her a year out because she had to work 12x as fast and as hard. Don't be dumb like me and think you can do everything yourself. Be smarter than me and hire this team so they can elevate your standards while saving you money. Win win win win win.

We had our wedding coordinator for "day of" services. At first I thought we didn't need one. I was glad we had their help. Even thought we got the day of service, they would send email correspondent through out. That kind of kept me on schedule and pointed me to the right direction of how planning should go down. When the day finally came, I felt so blessed to have a professional there to take care of things. I was really able to relax and enjoy "the day" and not have anyone come and ask you what's next or something or someone is not here. I would definitely recommend Finishing Touch and bride to be to get a wedding coordinator!

Finishing touch did a pretty good job. The only thing that we were upset about was that my mom missed seeing my husband's reaction upon first seeing me in my wedding dress because no one told my mom about it while she was in her room. But other than that I think our wedding planner was worth the $$.

She is very knowledgeable in her field, and made things so easy for us! We gave her our budget, told her the important aspects, and she planned accordingly.
