We had a small backyard wedding and Nicholas and his team from Fitzgerald's were amazing. The food was delicious, everyone loved it and was raving about it. The team was incredible, getting everything done in our own kitchen and leaving the place in spotless condition. Would def hire again.

I have nothing but great things to say. The food was amazing. From the fresh flowers on the passed appetizers to the outstanding buffet. Service was fabulous. Couldn’t be happier.

Fitzgerald's (Nicholas Shope and Chef John) were great to work with for our wedding at Lighthouse Point in New Haven (catering + setup + breakdown). They've done a lot of work there and it shows - the venue looked perfect and the food was even better than the tasting. Nicholas was easy to work with and responsive throughout our planning. Definitely recommend.

We had Fitzgerald’s cater our outdoor, “backyard” 130 person wedding last year and they helped make it feel like a true venue. Through the entire process Nick was there and helped us curate a menu that fit our wants while also staying in a budget we were comfortable with. From the freshly shucked oysters to the fun and unique passed apps (don’t skip the chicken and waffle) our guests were never hungry. For days after the event we had people complimenting the food. There never seemed to be any hiccups in the service and the serving of food buffet style was smooth and seamless. We would absolutely hire them again for future events and recommend them to couples looking for catering on their wedding day. My sister also used them for her wedding in 2019 and it was exciting to get to relive their food all over again for our day. 10/10!

Nicholas and his team at Fitzgerald’s are HANDS DOWN, the BEST caterer a bride could ever dream of working with. They were soooo easy to work with, so flexible, to easy-going, so incredible!! The food at my wedding was knock out delicious and there was SO much of it!! My now husband and I were given everything we asked for. The guests at our wedding raved about the taste of the food and the sheer amount of it- no one left hungry. Brittany, our maitre D of the night, was incredible incredible incredible. She took care of us and always made sure we had a drink in our hands and even helped to make sure the night stuck to the timeline. She fluffed my train and veil before I walked down the aisle. What more could you ask for?! My only regret was not eating during the reception! But the team sent us home with plenty of leftovers. My husband and I will be talking about this caterer for years to come and will recommend them to everyone we know. Use them for your wedding and you will have ZERO regrets!!!

Nicholas was a pleasure to work with. Very prompt at returning phone calls and emails. Nicholas worked within our budget and was very accommodating.. His staff did an amazing job at our wedding. They were very professional, on top of everything checking in with us if we needed anything. They managed the event with professionalism from start to finish. The food was delicious. Our guests raved about the meal and even asked the staff for business cards. They exceeded our expectations. Our day was perfect and Fitzgerald Catering was a big part of that. We would highly recommend them for any catering event.

Absolutely the best team! I’m so thankful for them! We had compliments all night and days after about the food at our wedding! We will use them for any big event we ever have! They’re kind people with absolutely delicious menu options!

We couldn't have asked for the catering to go any better on our wedding day. Their staff was so professional and responsive to our needs and the needs of our guests. They accommodated all of the dietary restrictions, including family members who had allergies and who were vegan without any questions or issues. The food was absolutely incredible, not a single appetizer or main dish was anything less than delicious. Everybody kept raving about how good the food was, which is sometimes not the case for all weddings.The bartender was amazing and there were no lines for the bar even though we had 75 people and only one bartender. My day of coordinator was commenting all day on how easy they were to work with and how welcoming they were to her presence at the wedding. They were very efficient and respectful during the setup and breakdown and their team worked together very well. It was very apparent that this team is full-time with Fitzgerald's and are not just some teenagers working part time. Pre-Wedding, Nicholas was very responsive to any questions I had and didn't make me feel silly for anything. Overall, we could not recommend them more.

Nick is AWESOME!! We loved our tasting before we hired them as our caterer. Our guests kept saying how delicious all of the food was. You know the food is good when we actually got to sit and enjoy it. They also offer bartending packages that was so great to have! I’m still drooling over the thought of my dinner.

Nick and his team were absolutely amazing. From start to finish they handled every moment of our day so we did not have to worry about anything. They set up, made amazing delicious food, and cleaned up with no issue. Nick was very attentive, answered every question, and kept us sane over the nine months of planning. Everyone raved about how amazing the food was and how great the bar service was. We had children at our wedding and Nick went out of his way to make sure they also enjoyed themselves. Nick and his team were top “knot”-ch to work with! Communicative, timely, and DELICIOUS! Our guests are still raving over the food and we had our wedding almost a week ago. We had a BBQ style buffet for 165 total people. The wait staff were polite young-adults who were so kind and took great care of our guests! We had the time of our life! Fitzgerald Catering catered our wedding in April 2023 at the Stamford Museum and Nature Center Farmhouse. Nicholas was great at communicating leading up to the event and flexible and accommodating for dietary restrictions. We had an all vegan/vegetarian buffet and we had multiple guests (meat eaters) compliment the food - it was such a hit! They took care of all the linens and cutlery too - nothing to worry about! Thank you to the entire team for the wonderful catering of our wedding reception food and bar. We received multiple compliments on the bar service as well! We definitely recommend Fitzgerald Catering for a fair price, delicious food, and reliable service!

Fitzgerald's Catering was by far the absolute best caterers we've ever used. Their entire staff was absolutely amazing amazing amazing. They were incredible from beginning to end and the food was out of this world. All of our guests and our vendors were raving all night about how good the food was. We are still getting messages 2 weeks later from friends and family on how delicious the food was. Five stars is not enough, we give them a 100 stars.

After choosing to have our wedding at a family members residence in Westport CT, We knew one of the most essential components was finding a caterer . In the midst of interviewing 10+ caterers, reviewing menus, and choosing who we wanted to work with for our special day, it was no doubt that Fitzgerald Fine Catering stood out. Not only did they offer honest and reasonable prices , they also eased the stress by providing waiters, staff, linens, and dish ware, which we would have had to seek out separately. Nick was one of the first venders we chose , and gave us constant advice the entire time on hosting a wedding in a backyard with 150 people. Nick was responsive, patient, and kind whenever I reached out with questions relating to the wedding. Nick offered many options for food, including anything extra that we wanted such as providing warm hot pretzels for our guests at the end of the night as a favor, and providing our signature drinks ! On the day of the actual wedding I was so worried I wouldn’t get a chance to eat so the staff brought me constant samples to try, and good thing because the food was amazing! Nick made it a point to come to the house to do a walk through, making sure everything was ready, and decorated the tables just as how we envisioned. I had every guest at our wedding tell me how much they really enjoyed the buffet style food, because they wanted to keep having seconds. The best part of the wedding was that we got to take home most of the leftovers and eat it for the next few days. From the chicken francese to the pesto tortellini, we loved every bite! We will definitely recommend Nick and his crew to anyone who asks, and have nothing but great things to say from start to finish ! Thank you for making my wedding day so special!

Nick and his team are the best! They did an incredible job catering our wedding at Lighthouse Point Park. The food was delicious and served to our 120+ guests (buffet-style) super quickly, and the bartenders made sure there was never a line for drinks. The staff were very attentive to me and my husband and made sure we got to eat and drink plenty. Most importantly, Nick made us feel at ease throughout the whole process as he and his team are super professional and experienced. We felt so relaxed on our wedding day knowing the food, drinks, set-up and service were in great hands, and just got to enjoy it!

I used Fitzgerald's Fine Catering for my future daughter-in-law's bridal shower. I liked how quickly my phone calls and texts were answered. Nicholas was very helpful in coming up with the menu. His staff set everything up for me. They were punctual, friendly, and very easy to work with. Top notch service all around.

Fitzgerald's Fine Catering was one of the best choices we made for our wedding! From our first meeting with Nick, it was a perfect match. He was so easy to work with and always available when I had questions. On the day, Nick and his staff were amazing. I've always heard the bride and groom never eat because they are so busy, they made sure we ate and what we ate was delicious!! We chose the Autumn menu, and it's been 3 weeks and I still have people telling me how delicious the food was. On top of the food being delicious the staff was fantastic, our bartender Mike gets a special shoutout because he was AMAZING. I was so happy with the outcome and I plan to hire Fitzgerald's in the future again.

Nicholas and his staff are INCREDIBLE! We contacted him last year for our 9/24/21 wedding with the request of a mostly vegan wedding as we are both vegan and wanted to be able to eat everything (sans a few meat dishes included in the entrees) and he did NOT disappoint. The food was incredible and enjoyed by EVERYONE! His staff made sure the bridal party was fed while we waited to be introduced. They helped make sure all of our guests were taken care of and they packed all the leftovers up for us to chow down on after the party. Nicholas was so fun and communicative—he made us very comfortable and confident to be able to just enjoy the day without any worries. I cannot recommend Fitzgerald’s enough.

Amazing! Nick and his crew are one of a kind and delivered delicious food all of our guests were able to enjoy. The team is easy to work with, Nick is communicative with all clients and was able to manage all of our needs. Fitzgerald's Fine Catering was exceptional! We hired Fitzgerald's for our wedding (125 guests), and received countless compliments about the food! Nicholas Shope and his team met with us for a tasting in March and kept in touch with us via email to help plan our menu for our wedding. We highly recommend Fitzgerald's!

Nicholas and everyone at Fitzgerald's were just impeccable throughout our long process of planning our twice-postponed wedding. At the tasting, my husband and I could not believe how delicious everything was. They coordinated with my in-laws who provided champagne for toasts, while Fitzgerald's took care of the rest of the bar (and at a very competitive price). One of my family members has severe food allergies, and they accommodated it with no issues at all. On our wedding day, the team made sure my husband and I always had something to eat, even bringing a tray of hors d'oeuvres over after cocktail hour in case we hadn't gotten to try something. They are truly full-service - there is no kitchen, linens, or equipment at Lighthouse Point Park, and Fitzgerald's was able to bring in everything we needed and serve a truly delicious meal. Some standouts: steak, eggplant rollatini, cavatelli with broccoli and garlic, as well as ALL the hors d'oeuvres. They went above and beyond to make sure that we enjoyed our day!

I can not say enough great things about this company! We had a small backyard wedding on 10/10 and the group provided us with such amazing service! They were all so friendly and most importantly accommodating, and the food was phenomenal. There were many compliments!

Wow! The food and bar service was ever better than I expected for our wedding. All of the guests raved about their meals and the staff was so helpful making sure we always had enough to eat and drink while mingling with guests. You can’t go wrong with hiring Fitzgerald’s.

Fitzgerald’s Fine catering exceeded all of our expectations. I have not stopped hearing all of our guests talk about how good the food at the wedding was, the Mac and Cheese Nuggets were the biggest hit! The staff was so attentive to not only me and the groom but all of our guests. Not only did they keep all of our guests well fed and buzzed but Nick Shope was incredible to work with leading up to the event and was so reassuring and easy to talk to! Nicholas A. Shope is a genius when it comes to catering to a crowd who has complicated multi dietary needs. Imagine a crowd of 175 hungry wedding guests- all passionate about their vegan/macrobiotic/pescatarian/ gluten free/ dairy free/ carnivorous fare. Nicholas was able to design a menu to satisfy each and every palate, creating scrumptious dishes that were devoured by all. His staff was amazing. They flipped the room from sanctuary to reception hall during the cocktail hour, setting tables and setting out goody bags for guests --all while running the cocktail hour simultaneously. And .. they were professional, friendly, helpful and smiling throughout. They made this event a success and many thanks to them for doing so... I wouldn't consider using anyone else! Perfection!

Fitzgerald's catered my baby shower and I have to say, it was a HIT!! Working with Chef Nicholas was effortless. I gave him an idea of what I was thinking and he was able to craft a perfectly tailored experience for my guests! He made thoughtful suggestions and enhancements to make the day super special. The onsite team was prompt, courteous and professional. I think they ended up leaving the kitchen cleaner than it was in the first place! And Holy Smokes!!! The chicken and waffles!! Yummmm!! It would be shame to have any other word come first because the food was absolutely incredible. As “foodies” ourselves it was so important to share some of favorites with our guests and we could not have done that without Fitzgerald’s. Our wedding featured a lobster bake with steamers, NY strip steaks and so much more, which is great in theory but how would it all taste when catered for 120 people? Beyond delicious! I don’t know how Fitzgerald’s does it but they show up with their own equipment and everything is unbelievable. Our family is filled with food critics & seafood lovers and all we heard was how it was the best food that they’ve ever had at a wedding. If the food wasn’t enough, the staff is even better! They were all extremely polite and helpful. Making sure that the we (bride & groom) had everything we need or wanted, cracking lobsters, and saving us a special plate of the passed hors d'oeuvres that we missed during photos. They were attentive to all the other guests too, be conscious of allergies, helping with lobsters, the bar tenders were extremely polite and made delicious drinks. Nicholas & his team are the best and we would recommend them to everyone! We had a lot of unique requests and Nicholas was more than accommodating to help each one of those dreams come true. From signature drinks & infused water stations to linen colors and plate settings. Our wedding would not have been the same without Fitzgerald's and we cannot thank them enough!

Fitzgerald's was excellent - extremely easy to work with. They made it easy to put together a menu and get everything set, and their staff kept everything running throughout the wedding with no intervention needed on our part.

I can't recommend Fitzgerald's Fine Catering enough. Nicholas was SO great throughout everything! He wasn't phased by our tented wedding in the park (with absolutely no kitchen setup) and he handled all the permits. He gave us an extensive tasting and helped us pick a well-rounded menu for dinner. We had a s'mores bar, which was a HUGE hit. The communication and planning was great throughout the entire process. He and our coordinator handled all the details of the setup and put our DIY centerpieces together beautifully (we made the pieces and trusted Nicholas to assemble them). Nicholas and his staff made the whole event absolutely awesome.

Nick from Fitzgerald’s was absolutely amazing. He was responsive, professional, and confident in his work which helped put us at ease through the entire wedding plan in process. Fitzgerald’s is the most reasonable caterer without sacrificing quality whatsoever. The service day of was out of this world, every server and bartender went above and beyond and were polite and friendly. We had a fantastic raw bar that our guests can’t stop talking about. All of the food was amazing, for our entrees we had tuna which was cooked to perfection and beef tenderloin so tender you could cut with your fork! Can’t say enough good things, hire them!!!

We hired Fitzgerald's Fine Catering for our daughter's wedding this June. We had never held any event like this and Nick was very patient and helpful in arranging. The day of the event his staff showed up on time and transformed the venue in a flash. The food was better beyond our expectations. We had a "barbecue" theme, brisket, pulled pork, BBQ chicken, slaw, tortellini salad, etc. Everything was as good as any BBQ restaurant we'd been to (and I'm a huge BBQ fan). The staff was also outstanding - VERY attentive, courteous, friendly, efficient - I could go on. Even the selected wine was good. Guests even asked for "doggie bags" to take some home! Two weeks later, we're still getting complements. So - we can 100% with no reservations recommend Nick and company for your event. You won't be sorry!

We had a 260+ person backyard wedding under a tent on 9/15/2018, and I don't even know what the event would have looked like without Nick and his team, who were absolutely incredible from the start of our planning process through the wee hours of our reception. First, the food was amazing. Our guests are still talking about it and I regularly think about how sad it is that I can't have Nick's cooking all of the time! Beyond that, Nick and his team provided a level of service above and beyond what I could have imagined and made it possible for us to enjoy the day without worry. Darcy and the rest of the staff repeatedly checked on me and my husband to ensure that things were going according to schedule and that we got to eat and, when a guest spilled a drink down the front of my dress right before our first dance, they sprang into action to help me get the stain out. I truly can't say enough good things about Fitzgerald's Fine Catering and will be eternally grateful to Nick, Darcy, and the team for making our wedding such a wonderful experience.

It was great working with Fitzgerald's Catering. The food was absolutely delicious and the staff were so attentive and helpful. I am kicking myself for not remembering the name of the woman who headed up our wedding but she was a godsend. She made sure that we were able to eat (THANK YOU!) and really made the effort to check in on us throughout the day to make sure we had everything we needed. Our venue was not the easiest to cook at (a campground where the kitchen was quite far away) and they magically made it happen. And...did I mention how good the food was?!

Nick absolutely KILLED it. His food was amazing, his service was impeccable, absolutely nothing to complain about. If you want to make sure your wedding day is complete, definitely have Fitzgerald cater it.

Choosing Fitzgerald's was one of the BEST decisions we could have made for our wedding day. From the first time we met Nick at our private tasting, it was obvious he knew what he was doing. Darcy and the rest of the team were so professional, yet easy going, honest, and accommodating the day of -- it was over 90 degrees that day, yet still they made sure everyone had everything they needed effortlessly. My mom told me Darcy was so amazing throughout the whole set up prior the reception, adding small touches here and there, and she even boxed up leftovers for us at the end of the night without asking -- anticipating our every need. We got so many compliments from guests about the BEST WEDDING FOOD they've ever had, and little do they know it was affordable! We even added a sundae bar and had some last minute adjustments the week of without any issue, and there were no secret hidden costs or surprises. Nick advised us we shouldn't have to lift a finger or stress on our big day, and we didn't thanks to him and his team. We still feel the love, Nick! I would recommend Fitzgerald's catering to anyone in a heartbeat.

Fitzgerald's Fine Catering did an AWESOME job in catering my daughter and son-in-law's wedding at Penfield Pavilion in Fairfield!! I have been overwhelmed by the compliments that I have received from so many of our wedding guests. The food was delicious and so beautifully presented and served. Nick and his team of waiters, bartenders, and chefs were outstanding and so professional! There is not one thing that I would have changed about the entire evening! The table settings, bar and buffet tables all looked lovely! Nick guided us through every step of the planning and preparation for their reception. We would highly recommend Fitzgerald’s Fine Catering to anyone!

Nicholas and the rest of his staff were amazing to work with! The food at our wedding was phenomenal and they did so much to carry out our ideas and make it an incredible night. Our guests can't stop talking about the crab dip!! Nick answered all of our many questions so quickly and made us feel so at ease through the planning process. He is extremely down to earth and sweet, and was so accommodating when it came to working with our budget. We were even able to supply our own alcohol for the bar which most caterers to not let you do. Nick knows Lighthouse Point like the back of his hand and has the whole setup process down to a science! If you are getting married there you should absolutely go with Fitzgerald's Fine Catering, I can't recommend them enough!

We used Fitzgerald's Fine Catering for our wedding on 9/22/18 at Lighthouse Point Park in New Haven, CT and were thrilled with the experience. Throughout the lead up process to the wedding Nick was accessible and incredibly flexible with what we were able to do. It was difficult to narrow down a menu because he will truly do whatever you want, which is a great problem to have. When we were struggling to finalize our choices, we had no problem setting up a call with him and walking through our thoughts which helped us clarify things and come up with a selection we were super excited about. It's one thing to see a nice looking menu on paper, but to see the perfect execution of it was a joy. Many guests commented on how excellent the food preparation was and we both can attest that it was a delicious meal. The lobster in particular was cooked perfectly, and the chicken and steak dishes were both properly prepared and super tasty, which sometimes is a struggle for mass produced food. In addition to the great meal, the staff and services provided by Fitzgerald's on the day of the event were extraordinary and alleviated so much stress for us. We were concerned not having a wedding planner or day of coordinator, but the staff took our decorations the week of the event and set everything up beautifully. Sue in particular was amazing. She slightly tweaked our welcome table design in a way that made it even more visually appealing and was sure that we were taken care of all night, whether it was getting us drinks or making us plates of food. The bride and groom came first and we were treated like royalty by the whole staff. Fitzgerald's also offers the best value you can find for an open bar at $15pp, which is absurd. They even served cases of craft beer and additional liquor we brought. Overall, from the venue set up, food preparation, and incredible staff, Fitzgerald's was a home run and I couldn't recommend them enough. 5 stars all the way.

I can't even remember the number of times I said to my now-husband during the planning process that going with Nick is probably the best decision we made in planning our wedding, and the wedding day only solidified that. Nick was so accommodating and responsive throughout our 18 months (!) of planning, his staff was incredible and so fun at the reception, and the food was awesome (we did the clambake and our guests are still raving about it...) I dont have room for all the good things I want to say about Fitzgeralds, but THANK YOU for making our day so incredible!

After our initial tasting, it was clear to both my fiancé and I that we had to have Fitzgerald's Catering for our wedding on 8/12/18 at Carousel at Light House Point. Not only was every single food item amazing at our tasting, but Nicholas and his assistant, Jonathan, were friendly, funny, and flexible. It was clear that they would be willing to work with the customer to make the customer’s vision and their dream wedding happen. Throughout the planning process Nicholas was timely and responsive to my many emails. It was clear how professional, organized and knowledgeable he is. The day of Nicholas and his staff ensured every detail was correct to my OCD liking… including (but not limited to) center pieces, lanterns, plaques, and escort cards. Darcy continuously checked on me and my groom, offering to bring us personal hors d’oeuvres during cocktail hour as we chose to do our bridal party pictures during this time. She Darcy offered to put additional hors d’oeuvres in the bridal room or at our table. When we didn’t have a chance to eat dinner (as your wedding day FLIES) she hand made us both plates and put them at our seats for us. At the end of our night she also packed up all the left overs so we could enjoy them later. Nicholas, Darcy, Sue, Jonathan and all the other staff were so attentive throughout the entire night. They continuously checked in with us to ensure that everything met our expectations. Fitzgerald's Catering will exceed all your expectations and is definitely a wonderful addition to any wedding!

If you want an amazing caterer, look no further. Nick and his team and the ultimate professionals. They respond to all emails in a short period of time and are willing to work with you. We went to their shop for the tasting and they were very courteous. The food tasted the same at the tasting as in the event! The apps were gone by the end of cocktail hour at my wedding. The food was incredible and the staff are attentive. They brought out apps to is during the photos and when we were waiting to come back down. Also, when we asked them to cut a special cake, they were more than willing to help! I highly recommend them to anyone!
