g our father to make us take down ours.
I had my brothers wedding reception hosted at 5 Star last night. It was the worst experience I have ever had at any venue and I am someone who works in the event industry I worked at many different venues and I have never seen anything like this.
It was 300-400 people and they only set up one line for the buffet. Most of our event time was lost just waiting for people to get food and we couldn't do many activities that were planned. When we asked them to open up the other side of the table for two sided buffet they said "no because we would have to refill the trays sooner". But isn't that your job??
We had our cake vendor drop of the cake and when we asked the manager on the floor to have it brought out he said "I've been here since 4 and nothing was delivered" had us thinking that we had no wedding cake. Mind you we went in and inquired and it was all in the fridge as was delivered by the vendor". This man was rude, disrespectful, completely unhelpful. We went, found the cake in the halls fridge ourselves, brought it out our selves, transferred it to the table ourselves and amidst that he is pushing me to grab the cake and at that point I said "WE GOT IT we don't need help" as I'm mid holding a heavy multi tier cake and he is not moving out of my way and proceeds to scream at me.
They said no to literally every place we tried to put our vendors, please keep in mind I stayed away from entry exits for both guests and staff and even then they were pushing our dj, vendors everyone all around with lies that the outlet won't work or some other nonsense which was not true (we checked).
I deeply urge no one to go with this hall, your event will be ruined. Save yourselves and go ANYWHERE ELSE.
Arun is a scam artist. We booked an event 2 months in advance with him for his rooftop. He quoted us a price and we signed, and agreed to the terms and condition of the contract....
And we paid for a $2 million insurance policy requested by him.
2 weeks before our event Arun contacted us with some lie stating Community affairs and police chiefs reached out to him and informed him not to host our event. He said he could get around it and we could still do our event if we gave him an extra $5000. We reached out to a couple of our associates and they informed us that he regularly does this with people and companies that aren't well established.
We met with Arun in hopes to salvage the event. He told us that our social media presence gained the attention of the community, however we never even promoted his venue once on our social media. We asked to see the complaint and he said he didn't have it, instead he show us a DOB inspection violation for his establishment.
He said this was happening to us because the color of our skin, which i couldn't believe even came out of his mouth. I heard about racist scenarios occurring with this establishment previously but by the way Arun initially presented himself I didn't choose to believe them, he seemed like such an understanding and enthusiastic person at first but little did we know. He tried to take advantage of an up and coming racially diverse group of individuals because he seen opportunity.
Please do not do business with this establishment, they will look to get over on you one way or another.

all. All the arrangement functioned faultlessly and we found your staff courteous, welcoming and responsive. We had the most wonderful day on Saturday. All our guests without exception were full of compliments about the Ballroom and the meal Five Star Catering produced for us. Can I firstly thank you for all your help during the buildup to the day and on the day itself. Management for their professionalism, and the serving team who produced the meal so wonderfully. Please extend our very grateful thanks to them all.

mpeccable, being attentive but not too obvious or overbearing. Binder & Arun and the whole team combined to make it a very slick and relaxed event. We can’t thank you enough; I only wish you and the team every success for the future. " Ramsaroop Wedding (bride & groom)
You did a wonderful job for us and I am very grateful for the expert input you provided in advance of the big day. We had a wonderful day and that is in no small part to your work....
Five Star Banquet Hall is a terrific venue and had a real ‘wow’ factor for our guests. In addition to that the service, food, lighting and indeed everything was from the very top drawer. You are an ‘Event Designer Extraordinaire
From the day we met with Arun Vasudev of Five Star Banquet Hall he understood our wedding day vision and maintained that focus for the year of planning our special day. There was i...
n instant connection with Arun in our initial meeting and our personalities meshed very well. We walked away from that meeting feeling confident that we would be well taken care of. Our instincts proved right and we couldn’t have asked for a better Wedding Planner! Whether you need a full-service planner or only services on the day of your wedding Five Star will not disappoint you. We opted for a full service package because we lived and were being married in two different states. Friends and family were amazed at how calm we seemed (outwardly! ) in the planning of our destination wedding. Five Star made it easy. If you’ve envisioned your wedding day down to the smallest detail, Five Star will help you make that happen. And if you have a limited view of your wedding day, they will help you develop your vision. They can work with any budget. You can use your own vendors or Five Star has some great vendors to choose from. If issues arose with the vendors before, during or after our wedding, from the biggest to the smallest concern, Five Star served as our representative and advocated for whatever change was needed. They were readily available to answer any questions or concerns we had and we never waited more than a day to respond (especially important for the nervous bride!). Arun coordinated, and was present at all of the vendor meetings, and assisted us in reviewing all the vendor contracts and making sure everything was in order. Arun was also on hand from the rehearsal and all day of the wedding, with a timeline that ensured that everything ran smoothly. The wedding day team that worked alongside Arun were fantastic. They were extremely attentive, made sure our wedding party was well taken care of and kept them and guests on time and happy. This allowed the bride and groom to relax (as much as one could on their wedding day! ) and enjoy without worry. We knew that we had chosen the right Wedding Planner when we first met Arun, but our guests confirmed it by saying how good Five Star was and how they managed our wedding day so seamlessly! omer service. The catering was perfect! They went above and beyond the call of duty. It's because of Mr. Arun and Five Star that we even had a wedding at all! 6-weeks from the wedding we had no decorations, linen, flowers, favors, etc. For the ceremony and reception. With a few phone calls, Mr. Arun came in and saved the day! Within weeks, his staff put together a portfolio of lovely flowers, décor, drapes, etc. , and we knew we were in good hands. We received wonderful feedback from family and friends on how lovely, professional, and creative the decorations were... Especially the fresh flowers and bouquets, lighting and the crystal tree arrangements around the room! Most importantly, Mr. Arun & Five Star staff made us feel apart of their family, and made sure we were taken care of. We have already recommended Five Star to our friends!
Sincere thanks and gratitude, Mark & Pamela Bernard (02/18/2019, Westbury, NY)
