Five Star Entertainment was an excellent vendor. They were detail oriented and helped us plan from conception to implementation. The DJ we got, Major, was excellent! He did a lot of day-of coordination, worked with our photographers easily, and guided us through the day with a deft hand. Absolutely recommend them again.

5 star was amazing! They made sure to go over everything with me and helped me with things I didn’t even know I needed! They are the reason my wedding was such a success! I would definitely recommend 5 star for any event!

Five Star Entertainment did an excellent job with my daughter’s wedding. The DJ services were very engaging, the uplighting was beautiful, and all the guests absolutely loved the surprise sparkler machine during the first dance. I would definitely recommend their services for your event.

Five Star Entertainment was absolutely amazing, we can’t say enough good things about this company. My husband and I just got married this past weekend and we received so many compliments on our DJ. He was attentive, fun and easy to work with on top of being so friendly. I appreciate how easy it was to work with this company, especially with how stressful wedding planning was. They were quick to respond, helpful and so kind. Our wedding day was absolutely wonderful with their help, it was better than we could have imagined!

Cannot recommend 5 Star Entertainment highly enough. Our wedding coordinator gave us a list of vendors but mentioned offhand that 5 Star was known for getting people on the dance floor, which was definitely a priority for us. Every step of the way, from booking to planning to set up to breakdown was so, so easy-- Vivian walked us through every deadline, and the survey that they had us fill out let us cultivate a fantastic wedding playlist. Two months later, people are still talking about how great the dancefloor and our DJ was the best wedding DJ they've seen all year. We also used their equipment for our service, and it made things so simple. I'm glad we had them for our wedding-- it made everything a breeze. Would hire them again in a minute for literally any event.

Working with the team at Five Star entertainment was enjoyable from the beginning. Vivian was communicative and answered all questions promptly. It was great how customizable things were including the background of our photo booth pics, the monogram displayed on the wall, etc. They provided a comprehensive worksheet to complete to help us choose songs and styles of music throughout our event and really helped us get organized with songs that represented us. My favorite aspect was the "candid photographer" that took pics during the reception and were displayed on our TV/projector in real time - a super fun and interactive aspect of a wedding that I really enjoyed!

Five Star entertainment made the entire process of booking them such a breeze! Vivian helped so much in going over the packages they offer and helping with organizing the entertainment timeline for our big day! DJ Major did such a great job with the entertainment on the day of! We would definitely book with them again for future events as they made this booking such a stress free one for us!

Five Star Entertainment, Don't look any further, this company is your one stop shop for DJ, lighting, photo booth, monogram, video screen and more......I was in your shoes once and nervous about choosing the perfect DJ for my wedding. I made the decision to go with Five Star Entertainment and I would choose them all over again. Major was our DJ and he kept our guest on the dance floor. Vivian was our person of contact/specialist that put everything together! Vivian answered any questions I had and assisted in giving different perspectives in regards to her experience. Let them do the work for you, choose your budget and discuss your vision with Vivian, and your wedding day will be just as you imagined and more with your DJ!

The was the most fun we’ve ever had at a wedding. Major was our DJ and he was fabulous, entertaining and very knowledgeable with everything and the timing of all the different events during our reception. All of our guest even commented on what a great job Major was doing during the event and after the event. I would highly recommend Major for any event. Thanks for a great evening!

Vivian and her team were absolute professionals from start to finish! They were detail oriented in planning and provided suggestions based upon their experiences. The day of was AMAZING. Without the experience of Five Star, we wouldn’t have been able to have a smooth reception! Mark and his team coordinated the entire event for almost 200 people with ease!!! I requested to get through the “formalities” and get to the partying as quickly as possible and that’s EXACTLY what they did!!! Everyone knows the DJ keeps the party going so it’s very important to hire the BEST! Vivian kept communication open for an entire year and a half! Communication and trusting your vendor to do their job is very important and Five Star experience is EXACTLY WHAT WE GOT!!!

5 Star Entertainment was a recommendation through Cape Fear Botanical Garden for our vows renewal. When I say top tier service and entertainment, I mean just that. Vivian helped make the arrangements flow so smoothly. The owner who was also the DJ had the reception rocking from start to finish without skipping a beat. He was the absolute beat. My wedding was 9/24/2022 and all I can say is that Five star entertainment went above and beyond to satisfy our needs and our guests needs!!!! Everything was on point from beginning to end… Ms Vivian was a GREAT help to me as well as this was my FIRST time planning a wedding, she was prompt with communication. Five Star Entertainment was amazing to work with from start to finish! From setup with Vivian Baldwin- She was on top of everything from the very beginning! She made sure to stay in touch and followed up on homework and zoom meetings (we were out of town). She knew the importance of having every detail to make sure the wedding was smooth and seemless. “Major” Darius Fryar is the absolute best DJ hands down! He worked the crowd, got everyone dancing, and “MCee’d” the entire wedding! His setup was super quick and clean. I would recommend this team to anyone and everyone!! Simply amazing! We are so happy we went with Five Star for our wedding. From initial booking all the way up to the wedding date, they made the process super easy! 5 Star was EXACTLY what me and my husband had envisioned for our wedding day! We specifically requested Major for our DJ.. being a wedding vendor myself, I have first hand seen him in action countless of times.. and new I had to have him and his enthusiasm and passion for my own wedding! Me and my husband, my entire bridal party, family, and all of my guests truly had one of the best nights ever! We were constantly on the dance floor and we will never forget it! They deliver exceptional service from the start, working with Vivian in the office coordinating, to finish with DJ and owner Mark Pezzella.  I've seen Five Star in action and had no doubt who would be handling my son and daughter-in-law's wedding. As always, you guys went above and beyond to help make this day both amazing and fun!

Living in Fayetteville NC we’ve heard great things about Five Star Entertainment. So when it came time for our wedding in Charleston SC we contacted them. Vivian was awesome to deal with, she maintained communications with us, was very patient with us and ensured every detail was covered. We made several changes and additions to our special day and Five Star was very accommodating and provided us with many many options. Once our special day arrived, the crew was there early to set up and what a set up it was from the up lighting, DJ set up to the wonderful photo booth it was perfect. Our DJ for the evening was the owner Mark Pezzella himself. From providing sound for the ceremony to the on site reception, He kept everyone entertained as did his staff and everone danced the night away. Superb candid photos. The only thing we would do over for our wedding was to have Five Star Provide the day of coordinating as well (its provided but we opted to go with a wedding coordinator we had paid for and it was a huge mistake). Mark not only pointed out many issues that the wedding coordinator and photographer were not doing and took the “bull by the horns” and got our evening back on track and kept the evening fluid and special. No matter how small or large your needs are you should definitely give Five Star Entertainment a call you won’t be disappointed. Like the old saying you get what you pay for well we got the best. We plan on calling Five Star for any future DJing needs.

The golden monogram that was projected on the brick wall was beautiful. Lots of choices for lights, colors, letter scripts. Music was perfectly timed for all the grand entrances. Five Star made the wedding event enjoyable.

Our DJs were amazing! They did exactly what we imagined. We loved their energy throughout the whole night. We were late arriving due to wedding pictures. The DJs adapted to this and played only the most popular songs from our pre-made playlist. We loved having an introduction song for each member of our wedding party! So many guests have told us they never even had time to sit or use the bathroom beaus the songs kept making them want to be on the dance floor! Highly recommend.

Their manager Vivian was very helpful and accommodating throughout the planning process. The dj was very friendly and apologetic for the mistakes he made with the music throughout our event. However, we feel that more attention should’ve been payed to other musical aspects such as the timing of the songs, and the music that was being played.

The service couldn't have been better! I would use Five Star for any future events. From start to finish everyone involved was extremely thorough and professional. They worked on every detail leading up to our wedding day, and let us choose everything. During the wedding was no different. They let us adjust on the fly, and were great entertainers! We had a smaller wedding for the venue, and they did an outstanding job making it feel like a huge event. The DJs made a great effort to get everyone involved and keep the energy up. We loved it!

5 star entertainment went above and beyond their service for our wedding day. We absolutely loved our personalised monogram and room lighting. The DJ even helped keep our guests entertained. We also hired the Photo booth which made for some really great memories, it also came with a personised design for the print outs. 100% would recommend this company for any event.

The whole process towards the wedding was as smooth as a bride can ask for. They were really professional, answered all my questions made all the necessary adjustments to fit my dream wedding. The Photo Booth crew was outstanding, somehow managed to broadcast all the pictures that the guests were taking on a screen. Both DJs were super accommodating to my latin background and played songs that probably americans never heard of! Highly recommended.

Five star was awesome! I enjoyed them from day one during our consultation. They did my sister's wedding in 2012 and did absolutely amazing, but since I work in events myself I had to compare other vendors. Five star out ranked other individuals throughout the Carolina's with no competition. Vivian walks you through EVERYTHING and exemplifies top customer service. The day of runs smoothly and everything is done with professional class. I recommend them to everyone. I live in DC so I had to plan my wedding out of town and they still utilized technology to make sure my day was the best.

Used Lane for our music for both ceremony and reception. Also did a photobooth and up lighting for the wedding. Wow! Everything looked spectacular and amazing! The photobooth was a ton of fun and the music was great! Highly recommend!

Mark and his assistant did an absolutely incredible job at our daughter's wedding reception. We were so pleased with the way it all went. They were professional, nicely dressed, courteous, and fun! The music was great and slideshow looked wonderful on the big screen. The administrative staff, from Dee Dee early on to Vivian at the end, walked us through all the planning and were so helpful answering our questions. Our guests loved our entertainment. Everyone had a blast! Five Star was an important part of making our day the incredible day that it was.

Our DJ Cory was excellent! We was entertaining, and played the perfect music to get people moving.

We used Five-Star Entertainment for our wedding reception and they are "The Best" in the business. We used their DJ services and the photo booth. The photo booth was a hit with everyone and was a fun add on for the reception. Mark Pezzella was our DJ and MC and he was amazing. He was there early making sure that the caterer was in place, as well as the florist and he even lit the candles before we arrived at the venue. Everything was so organized, we had several people tell us how organized everything was, and how smoothly everything went, even the buffet line was orderly. We liked the fact that Mark and his staff met with us a few weeks before the wedding to get names and numbers and to plan the entire program for the evening. We have attended events where the DJ runs out to get this info when the bride and groom arrive, but not Five-Star. They are very professional. My mom and I did not have to worry about a thing, Mark was a great coordinator and MC and he kept the dance floor full the entire evening. We paid a few extra dollars because we requested a specific DJ but their prices are reasonable and their services are worth the money. We will surely be using them again and we recommend them to everyone. Five-Star Entertainment made our wedding reception a night to remember.

Mark Pezella and his staff at Five Star Entertainment were exceptional! From the 1st meeting through the end of the event, their focus was on customer service and making all our dreams come true! We were lucky enough to have Mark at our wedding in May of this year. The dynamic room lighting was breathtaking as we walked into the tent. It was just like a Fairy Tale. Mark is more than JUST A DJ...he is an event coordinator. He introduced the wedding party, and kept things moving right along with the cake cutting, bouquet toss and garter toss. The Anniversary Dance was a hit and got EVERYONE out on the dance floor. He knew exactly how to read the crowd and when to really crank it up! The photo booth was a hit! We had toddlers to grandparents striking a pose...also served as great party favors! I highly recommend Five Star Entertainment...they are professional, courteous, knowledgeable and full of energy and enthusiasm. My family has already booked him for my brother's wedding next summer!

The monogram design and display was what I hoped for and more. Mark was the reception coordinated and made sure that everyone was happy and entertained.

We had Five Star do our ceremony and our outdoor wedding reception! It was the best experience we've had. They helped make our ceremony flawless. Guided everyone in the right direction and made it perfect! Our reception was absolutely a blast. Five star entertainment was the best decision we made when selecting a DJ for our wedding. The were our coordinators, Djs, guests...and by the end if the night felt like family! They made everything so smooth and everything went without off without a hitch (no pun intended lol). They made each and every guest feel involved and were funny, helpful, entertaining...just overall the best! Would def say not to even consider another DJ! Well worth every penny!

Five Star was fabulous!! They did the music for my outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. They made everything flow effortlessly. It wasn't at all stressful. After being introduced into the reception, they took control and it was so refreshing. They came to us and said "We'll be doing the anniversary dance (I highly recommend this dance. At first, I didn't want it but Five Star said it's a big hit at weddings and they were right) or "it's time to cut the cake". We didn't have to worry about anything. I HIGHLY recommend them for any event.

Our reception would not have been the same without Five Star Entertainment! The DJ did a great job of reading the guests, playing music accordingly and keeping everyone on the dance floor. Everyone from four year olds to grandparents were dancing. When he interacted with the guests he was very personable and fun. We received MANY compliments on the DJ services. We wanted the reception to be a big party where everyone had a blast and it definitely was thanks to Five Star.

OMG my wedding entertainment was amazing and they made my guest so happy. My wedding will always be remembered because of their entertainment. They are not only amazing but respectful of what you want and how you want it. They are perfectionist which is what every bride wants. They make me want to get married again just to use their services. I got the photo booth and that was a hit, so if you get them, that is a must. I love five star!

Good Job! Would definitely rehire through Five Star Entertainment. The DJ's were very professional and organized. The only thing my groom wasn't happy with was that the wrong portion of a song he picked for the introduction of the wedding party was played. My only issues with Five Star were two things. #1- having never been a bride I didn't know what to expect in planning my own wedding. Although a good beginning, the spec sheet did not cover everything that was requested from us for the wedding. Unfortunately during our first meeting I shut down because I felt overwhelmed having to come up with songs or commit to ideas that I hadn't even prepared to think about on the day of our final meeting. The spec sheet needs to be all inclusive, not just a general layout with a few key things. First time brides are in the DARK and are not going to see the wedding through the eyes of the professional. Secondly, and this is not a complaint, I was surprised at how attentive our DJ's were. I had no idea of what was included in the "Wedding Coordinator" experience. If we could have we would have tipped them more. The attention to detail, organization and professionalism speak to the merits of this business and I would recommend Five Sta to anyone.

An absolutely fabulous vendor providing music, lighting, and event planning. A one stop shop!! At first I thought the price was high but when I saw the service and quality they provided I realized that they were the real deal. They can make your event that special night you hoped for.

My wedding was absolutely beautiful thanks to the amazing up lighting, beautiful wall monogram, and ceiling lights provided by 5 Star!I am a huge ECU fan and wanted purple haze on my reception entrance and they worked very hard to make sure I got that :) The entire reception ran smoothly thanks to Mark and his staff! The music was great and everyone still talks about how much fun they had! I will recommend them to everyone I know getting married! 5 star makes the entire planning process stress free with the initial planning meeting, easy to reach staff through phone and emails and the detailed wedding reception worksheet! There really aren't enough words to explain my gratitude for their participation in my event. They were right there with me every step of the way and stood right by my side on the day of the event. They went above and beyond to make my day the fairy tale I had always dreamed of. I was stress free and in good hands the entire time. The organization was unbelievable during the ceremony. I also appreciate their adaptability. I had a blown disc that I was getting taken care of simultaneously. They made sure I took it one step at a time and make the appropriate changes when necessary to cater to my needs. The best part...no one else at the wedding knew. Everyone had a great time. The photo booth was a major hit, and not just with the kids! I wouldn't recommend anyone else.

I could not recommend a better group to do the entertainment at your wedding! They have so much experience in the field, and are always willing to speak with you about your wedding. Mark was excellent at my wedding, in addition to the photo booth and candid photographer. My guests really enjoyed seeing pictures of themselves on the video screen during the wedding. I received a lot of compliments on Mark, and what an excellent job he did. Everyone was dancing, and had a great time! I could not recommend a better entertainment company to utilize for your wedding.

These guys are great!!! They turmed the mood around at mywwedding and made things run perfectly!! I had no time to take photos but they worked things around so I was able to sneak off and take photos!! These guys are great and so very fun!!!!! Amber Gardner

Five Star set up and operated the photo booth for our wedding. While the pictures were great and they did a great job, there was a miscommunication. We paid for double prints and did not receive the extras for us and our guests. This was a minor error and they did end up making this up to us, but this is the reason for the 4 stars. I would recommend them to friends, but be careful to double-check that they have the correct information.

Five Star provided the lighting and DJ for our wedding. The lighting was beautiful and more than worth it! I was nervous because we had to start our reception much earlier than I would have liked and I wasn't sure if we'd be able to keep the guests entertained for 6 hours, but everyone had a blast! Mark ran the event and there was never a dull moment. The music played really made the night and all of our guests said it was the best wedding that they have ever been to. I definitely recommend Five Star for anyone's big event!

I had an amazing experience with Five Star Entertainment. Not only were they very prompt in keeping me informed on appointments, but they made certain that what I wanted at my wedding was annotated on the documents as well as my own. They were very professional and everything from the lighting to the microphones to the DJ was amazing and so worth it. Our specific DJ was so awesome as he not only kept us on schedule, but worked around what we were doing. He was very personable and made sure everyone was happy to include the bride and groom. He even came out on the dance floor to show us some moves and I thought that was extremely fun and showed us he was having a good time with us! We loved our experience and would choose this company again if we have another event.

I recently got married on November 10, 2012 on Fort Bragg. The place we chose to have the reception, was the O'Club, which is not the most beautiful place in the world. The building was large, which was perfect for our guest list of 250. When we had our initial meeting with 5 star, they were extremely kind and patient. They described in detail what could be done for our reception, and how they could make you feel as if you were in a completely different room. What we invisioned, is what was done. We went with purple colored lighting, which looke absolutely beautiful. We also decided to have a cake light, which made the cake pop out! It was the perfect touch. The last thing we added when it came to lighting, was the monogram. They made a few designs, and we were able to choose from there. The DJ made everything flow so perfectly. There was not a glitch in anything. Not only did he keep all of our guest on the floor, but he would check in very often to make sure that my husband and I were ok with everything that was going on. He really had a way of interacting with the guests. There were people dancing that I never thought would be up dancing, which was really nice to see. I had no idea that having the photo booth was going to be such a big hit!!! All of the guests LOVED it! When I returned to work after the honeymoon, my coworkers had all of the pictures in their stands all over the place. They came out beautiful. It was really nice how 5 star provided props and made it fun. I could not have asked for better service. There was no need to worry about how the reception would flow and if our guests were going to enjoy themselves. 5 star took care of everything! From the entertainment, to the music, to the photo booth--my guests had the best party ever!

Five Star Entertainment did an excellent job with our reception. Mark did a great job of, not just coordinating the flow of the reception, but making sure we (my husband and myself) were taken care of. Getting Five Star to do our reception with Mark as the head DJ of the event was the one non-negotiable thing my husband requested because of their organization at receptions and the atmosphere created when they play, and Mark did not disappoint. Overall, great job!

The owner of the company very nice and make you feel comfortable and they go above and beyond to make your day special and to help you out. They are reasonably priced and my only problem with them was at the reception they got my flower girl name wrong when they introduced her and they forgot to charge their battery on their computer and we had no music for about a half an hour. Other than that they recovered well and we had a great time dancing at the reception.

We hired Five Star for DJ and lighting at our ceremony and reception. Overall, we had a great experience with them. The lighting colors were great. Our guests enjoyed dancing the night away to Mark's great music.

Very professional, gave us exactly what we wanted

Five star entertainment blew me out of the water. Most of guests were on the dance floor the entire time. They played exactly what we had described - but Mark (our DJ) also had a great vibe for what our group liked. We had everyone from children to grandparents out on the dance floor. We had a huge variety in music which kept the group going. Mark was creative in getting people out on the dance floor right away. Games and announcements made by Mark went so great and smoothly. Ah we had so much fun at our wedding.

I had 5 star for my wedding photography and dj services. They were able to accommodate multiple services for us, such as coordinating our reception, music, and photography. Was definitely a one stop shop for us.

Mark got the party started right away with a great mix of dance music. It was awesome how it really helped to set the party tone of the event - just like we wanted. Mark was able to feel the mood of the people and adjust the music accordingly so everyone was having a great time. He was prompt and organized - something that we both find important. When we told him we were ready to get the entrance going there was no hesitation. He took charge and got things rolling. His professional but fun attitude was greatly appreciated. Five Star Entertainmnet was a raging success at our wedding reception. The DJ was incredible and the photo booth was loved by everyone who came. We will go back to Five Star with any future DJ needs and recommend them to anyone we know is looking for one. They were, by far, the best investment of our wedding!!

Not only did our DJ play exactly what the crowd wanted and kept the dance floor packed the whole night, but he also coordinated the entire reception to a T. He met the wedding party in the parking lot and gave us instructions on how we were to be introduced, Correctly pronounced everyone's name!, and managed every detail down to announcing when we cut the cake, when toasts were to be given, instructions and history of the dollar dance, etc. He even acquired a laptop and cable at the last minute when we realized we forgot it at home, to play our wedding slideshow at the reception. Five Star, also, supplied room lighting which was absolutely perfect in our wedding colors(Royal Blue) which completely transformed the reception area. I highly recommend this vendor and everything they have to offer!!!!

I had the best experience using Five Star Entertainment for my wedding! My guests loved the photo booth and we used the pictures as their favor. We also had the uplighting which made our venue look like a fairytale. Our DJ Lawrence kept everyone danceing all night and our guests have not stopped telling us what a great time they had at our reception. After our first meeting with Mark my husband and I knew that we wanted to use them for our reception at Highland Country Club. I love having things organized and when Mark gave me the packet that would help the reception flow I knew that everything was in Great hands! Five Star Entertainment did an amazing job with my wedding and reception! They have many great features to offer. I had them "DJ" for my ceremony and "DJ" for my reception. In addition, I rented out their photo booth and it was a hit among all ages! When weather was threatening the area, Ray called me the day before to see if we were going to continue as is and hope for the best or change locations. When we decided to move the ceremony to the place of the reception last minute Ray was very helpful in setting up and providing exactly what I had invisioned for my wedding. Rodney also did a fantastic job with the reception! He even got out on the dance floor and taught me and my mom how to do the dance to "Copperhead Road". Overall they did an amazing job and I walked away with many memories thanks to them! Yes they are a little pricey but the service and quality you get is worth the extra money. I would recommend them to any and everyone!
