I raised the concern immediately, but staff dismissed my concern and insisted it was the same dress. After comparing photos side-by-side, it was clear the dress I received did not look like the one I initially tried on. The associate admitted the photos looked different, promised a solution, and said she would speak with the owner. When the owner of the shop returned from her vacation, she intervened and immediately accused me of changing my mind and cited a strict no-return policy – completely disregarding my concerns. She then passed me off to her husband, who spoke to me condescendingly, compared my wedding dress to a Pottery Barn couch, and blamed me for not noticing the color difference in-store. When I asked if they’d offer any form of resolution — a refund, credit, anything — he refused and sarcastically said, “I’m on the phone with you right now, aren’t I?” Ultimately, I had to repurchase the same dress elsewhere in the correct color. Flair offered zero accountability or empathy. They may have a Newbury Street address, but they do not treat brides with the care or respect they deserve. I would never recommend shopping here.

immediately understood my vision. As soon as I tried on the very first dress she brought out, I knew it was the one! Flair helped customize my dress so it was perfect for me. I also got my veil from there and Lauren immediately found the perfect one to go with the patterns on my dress. They were responsive and accurate with their timelines, and their pricing felt fair. The only drawback is that they don't have an in-house alteration studio like some of the other shops I went to, but they were able to work with a shorter timeline (7 months out) so I had enough time to get alterations elsewhere. Overall I was extremely happy with Flair and Lauren's help!

I also liked that they had a small dressing room with a mirror and a curtain and I was able to get into the dresses and have a consultant clip me in, I didn't have to be naked and step into dresses in front of anyone. They were kind, accommodating and communicative throughout.

This gesture was hugely appreciated because it meant that I was able to see myself in my dream dress actually fully zipped up and fitting me properly which was a huge help in selling me on the dress I said yes to! At the time of my appointment, my stylist was Kaitie and she was incredibly helpful in making my appointment quick and easy. She was fun and upbeat and even though I had a dress in mind, I felt like she was really listening to me at our debrief in the beginning for what I was envisioning. When I put on "the one" she gave me some alone time with my crew to let us all chat and work through the emotions of it all together, without standing there and pushing me to make a decision. They even helped me work through a beyond-last minute size change to my order. I really appreciate my experience with Flair and their staff that helped to make me feel seen and taken care of. Plus, it's such a cute little shop on Newbury St! Would definitely recommend giving them a try for wedding dress shopping!

The boutique is so cute and I loved that I didn’t have to go look through dresses like at other stores - she pulled them all for me and knew exactly what to pull based on what I liked and didn’t like. This took off a lot of pressure! I ended up calling to place the order for the dress, and it was super quick and easy, and they were able to add in customizations I wanted for the dress. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would recommend everyone to go here for their wedding dress!

I tried on first - one being a dress I had seen before the appointment and the other was a dress that my stylist, Kaitie, recommended based on my initial choice as well as some additional questions she had asked me. The second dress that Kaitie recommended ended up being the dress that I went with! I can be a very indecisive person, and when it came to choosing between those two dresses, Kaitie was incredibly patient, honest, and helpful in walking me through my decision which was so appreciated. I could not believe that the second dress I tried on ended up being the one I went with, and I would say this is a testament to how well Kaitie was able to read exactly what I was looking for. I still wanted to be absolutely sure that this was THE dress, so I went to multiple bridal shops that week and tried on countless dresses, and nothing compared to the personalized experience I got at Flair. I also found a gorgeous veil there and they had a great selection. They were able to ship my dress out of state to Minnesota no problem.

it down in words. I just started dress shopping yesterday, so I am still fairly early in the process of figuring out what style of dress I want. The bridal consultant who assisted me had a drill sergeant attitude and expected that I’d be holding a “yes to the dress” sign after trying on ~6 dresses within my strictly 1 hour appointment (which actually ended up being only 40 min…). I started trying on dresses and when my mom took a picture, she instantly made my mom feel bad for doing so. When I explained that taking pictures of the dresses was part of my process for finding a dress, she became defensive and then uncomfortably silent/passive aggressive for the remainder of my appointment. I am certainly not going to be rushed into making any multi-thousand dollar purchase, and buying a wedding dress is no exception. Wedding dress shopping is supposed to be an exciting, special, once in a lifetime experience (and the two bridal shops I went to earlier in the day helped create that experience for me), and yet I left Flair feeling upset and hopeless. Comically, the bridal consultant expects that I’ll be back to say "yes" to one of the dresses I liked. Even if I do end up deciding upon that dress, I’ll find somewhere else to buy it because I will not be returning.

I felt a little rushed saying yes to the dress and getting the order processed ahead of the next appointment. I customized the color of the underlying fabric of the dress and sent an email to confirm the changes the very next day. Despite being reassured via email that my entire dress will be ivory, not nude color, I was sorely disappointed when it arrived. Unfortunately, it cost me $1,500 in alterations to replace the top part of my dress and Flair wouldn’t even comp me $60 dollars to cover the extra fabric that I needed to order. I understand this is a one-time business relationship, but I was hoping for some customer service.

I worked with Katie and she understood my style, respected our budget, and prompted me to think about how I felt in every dress. Plus - she's clearly a pro because the first dress she pulled for me (just for fun since it wasn't exactly what I had envisioned) ended up being the one. I walked away with a Kelly Faetanini Ella gown of my dreams. The team was communicative during shipping and followed up to make sure I had everything I needed when it came to alterations and post-wedding cleaning.

Liz at Flair reached out to the Jenny Yoo team and coordinated getting the dress sample to Boston for me to try on at Flair AND helped me move my appointment several times so that important people could make it with me. When I came for my appointment, Zoe was incredibly helpful, kind, and knowledgable about the entire Jenny Yoo line - both what they had in store and what they didnt have but could order. I never felt pressured to purchase or rushed at all, but Zoe kept the appointment moving forward so that it was productive and left me with a few options to mull over. After going home to think about it, Zoe even squeezed me in to retry the dress a few days later just to confirm for myself that it was it. I went back alone and was given the space and support to have the special moment of realizing "this is the dress!" Zoe helped me order my dream dress, guided me on timeline, and recommended preferred tailors for when it comes in. The store itself is bright, intimate and beautiful, and everyone I interacted with was so kind. I can't say enough good things - absolutely recommend!

Then my dress was delivered exactly when they said it would be and I used one of their recommendations for where to get the dress altered and was extremely impressed. You can tell when you walk into Flair it’s a place that’s accepting to all different body types and types of brides. I am so thankful to them for helping me feel my absolute best on my wedding day!
