For Better or For Best Weddings

We used For Better or For Best’s day of coordination for our wedding in June. I wanted to splurge on this so that our moms were not running around the day of the wedding and could actually enjoy the day. I am so thankful we had Kelly to help keep things running on our day. She took care of a million little things (both seen and unseen). There were so many times that I would notice something small (for example - the caterers spilled some water while they were filling the glasses on the tables) and almost immediately Kelly was on it. I am thankful that we (and our parents) were able to relax and enjoy the day. Kelly’s demeanor is calm, but very professional. I knew she had my back managing all of our other vendors. If I had to plan a wedding again I would prioritize having Kelly on the team. She’s worth the investment!

My husband and I were planning a small, yet fairly traditional & formal wedding. Throughout the process I thought we'd be able to get everything pulled together the day of with the help of a few friends. The more I thought about it I realized I had did not want to ask friends to do any extra work on our wedding weekend - I wanted them to enjoy themselves! Thankfully we found Kelly! When I first reached out to Kelly she was very quick to respond and very understanding in our needs / budget etc. She tailored her services to exactly what worked best for us and our wedding. I loved the wedding document Kelly fills out with brides and we used a shared Google folder to keep all of our information shared and organized. The meeting we had just prior to the wedding was very well organized and I felt any wedding related worries fade away after discussing our game plan for the big day. The wedding weekend Kelly was everywhere and no-where at the same time. By that I mean she had everything taken care of (and honestly well exceeded any expectations I had) but you would hardly know she was there as a "vendor" and not just another guest. She was on top of everything and it seemed effortless for her. At the end of the night she let me know she had gotten all of our stuff packed up and I couldn't believe it. She was so quick! I am so thankful we made the decision to work with Kelly. She was so fun to hang with during the weekend, professional, organized, flexible and a good problem solver. If you are on the fence to hire a day-of-coordinator, I highly recommend hiring Kelly. I was so relaxed all weekend knowing she had our back!

I am writing to let everyone know how pleased we were with Kelly as a wedding coordinator for our daughter’s wedding. The ceremony was held at the MN Arboretum and we had some scheduling challenges that Kelly navigated easily. When I arrived at the Arboretum at 11am the day of the wedding, I had no idea we would not be able to get into the room to prepare the tables until much later in the day when I was scheduled for photos. Kelly used her time efficiently to listen to my detailed plan, sort the decor and set up everything without my help. The room was absolutely stunning and the ceremony lovely. Kelly was also on hand to remind us of our photo timelines and got us to the ceremony location on time. She served as point person for any questions that came up like helping the DJ to upload the slideshow, coordinating with the Arboretum staff and even keep my relatives’ meals warm while they stepped out for a minute. Kelly was there to respond to every question or problem that arose. She also helped organize clean up and packed the decor at the end of the evening. WOW!! Kelly was easy to work with and made it possible for me to enjoy my daughter’s wedding, eat a wonderful meal and celebrate the evening with dancing. I cannot speak more highly of Kelly’s ability to listen carefully, actualize that plan, herd our families around to pictures, ceremony and reception, and clean up. I would highly recommend Kelly’s services to everyone who is planning a wedding. Thank you, Kelly!

I did not know what a "Day of Coordinator" was until my bride suggested we hire one and I am extremely thankful that she chose Kelly. From our initial planning meeting onward Kelly was a pleasure to work with and made our wedding day absolutely lit. She was extremely responsive and left no possible detail to be missed. Kelly kept my bride calm during the entire process and because of her hard work and attention to detail we could focus on enjoying our special day. Any groom who wants to keep his bride stress free should absolutely hire Kelly. Trust me, it is money well spent.

Kelly was amazing. She made sure everything went well according to what we had discussed. She's so flexible and easy to work with. I was able to enjoy my day without having to worry about the little details. She took care of it. I would totally recommend Kelly for your day off coordinator. I don't know what I would have done with out her.

Kelly was incredibly helpful, sweet, thoughtful and hard working. Even though I was just a Groomsman who just met Kelly, she treated everyone like family. I sure wish my wife and I had knew of Kelly for our wedding day.

Kelly is amazing. She is such a positive person with a can do outlook. She went above and beyond to find us a ceremony musician, was great with our other vendors, humored all of our silly ideas, kept us on track, got everything set up and torn down in a tricky venue, and was a general joy to work with. Anne was our 2nd and she swooped in to help my MOH find her reading online when she realized she had it saved to an email and had no cell reception 10 minutes before speeches.

Kelly Houlehan is phenomenal!! She was calm when I was stressed. I was the Mother of the Bride and the main planner for my daughters large wedding. Kelly got everything in order for me and gave me assurances along the way that everything would be great. She even took over the DJ announcing duties when she needed to and really just anticipated and read the room for whatever needed to get done. Hire her, you will never regret it and best of all she'll make the event Better and Best!!

Kelly was a wonderful presence to have around on our wedding day. She brought a calming feeling with a smile wherever she went. Kelly met with us several weeks before the wedding to get a sense of our vision. She asked all the right questions, offering her expertise when needed, to make sure everything was completely thought through. At the wedding, she was able to pick up and do anything we asked her to do; and, thanks to her ability to understand our vision for the big day, she was able to pick up and do all things we didn’t think to ask of her. Kelly is incredibly personable. She introduced herself to family and friends and was always in the right places. Her ability to be kind and direct allowed us to sit back and enjoy the day, trusting that she would make sure everything was ready. She also took care of all the logistics of the day. She communicated with all of our “vendors” to make sure everyone was on the same page. She made all of the transitions happen seamlessly. She even stuck around to the very end to make sure that everything was just the way we wanted it. We didn’t have to do a thing except enjoy our wedding with our family and friends. We appreciated the joy, confidence, and quality that Kelly brought to our wedding. It was obvious that she loves what she does. Kelly made our special day even more special. She made our dream a reality.

For Better or For Best Weddings is hands down the best vendor we had for our wedding. Kelly was our day-of coordinator and was so incredibly helpful during the planning process, week-of and day-of. She was everywhere but no where to be seen, and made everything flow seamlessly. If there is one thing I will recommend to brides from here on out - it's that they hire a day-of coordinator and that they hire For Better or For Best weddings.

My son and his fiancé hired Kelly for their wedding last week and from their first meeting to plan and discuss details to the final box packed up after the reception the experience was perfect! Kelly's attention to detail, ability to think on her feet and her fun personality made the day stress-free. We could not have done it without her!

Kelly Houlehan was our day-of-coordinator and she was the best! As we were preparing for our wedding she answered all our questions. We had a very thorough meeting with her the week before, she conducted our rehearsal and she was our "Wedding Ninja" on the day of! She was stealth, unobtrusive, professional, responsive, discrete, attentive, calm and took care of everything we needed and did not involve the bride and/or groom unless necessary. Kelly helped rescue my wedding dress twice (before the first look and before my first dance), connected with all our vendors prior to the day, dealt with remaining payments and gratuities on the day-of, coordinated announcements, music and timing with the string quartet and DJ... I could go on and on about how fabulous she was for us! She was AMAZING and we highly recommend her services!!! Totally worth the investment!!!!!

Kelly is an absolute joy to work with. Her positivity, attention to detail, and ability to maintain calm under pressure are unmatched. She answered every question and attended to every need with quick thinking and creativity. I couldn't recommend her more highly!

When my wife and I starting planning our wedding, she thought she had it all under control, with a big binder and so many spreadsheets. But after we chose all our vendors and the plan started to come together, we realized there was no way she could make sure all the elements in that binder came to life the way we wanted them too. That's when we found Kelly! She listened to everything we wanted and took it from there, making sure our decorations looked perfect, keeping the day on time and solving little issues along the way. I can't imagine how distracted my wife would have been if Kelly hadn't been there to keep her eyes on everything. I highly recommend a Day Of Coordinator to reduce your stress and let you enjoy your day and Kelly is one of the best!

We decided only a couple weeks before our wedding that it would be a good idea to find a day-of- coordinator and I am SO happy we found Kelly. She was absolutely awesome to work with, even on our short timeline. We met in person a few days before the wedding to go over everything. Kelly was very organized, knowledgeable, flexible to our needs and immediately I felt a sense of trust with her. I think it’s a testament to Kelly’s abilities that I’m not even sure all of what she did that day- all I know is that everything on the surface went super smoothly. I never had to worry about a thing and the day was absolutely perfect. Only the morning after our wedding did I find out that the reason a few of our strings of outdoor lights were off is because Kelly noticed they were starting to melt and smoke at the outlet. She probably prevented an electrical fire that could have burned down the barn! I full-heartedly recommend Kelly. If you’re looking for a coordinator, she is the one to choose! Kelly was such a joy to work with! She was, of course, dedicated to making our day worry and hassle free, but her enthusiastic and engaged personality was icing on the cake - it didn't feel like we were just another job, more like she was an old friend. My husband's grandmother can not stop talking about "that nice young lady" and neither can we!

I would have been lost without Kelly. She took care of everything - from making sure the tables were set beautifully, to fixing my hair on the windiest day, to helping my grandmother find her seat. She's charming and bubbly and has a great sense of how to keep things running smoothly. By the end of the night, she felt like family and I was so grateful that I was able to let go of my anxiety about how the day would run. Kelly made me feel like everything would be alright, and it was absolute perfection.

Kelly is simply spectacular! She is a brilliant combination of fun-loving and efficient. I hired her as a day-of coordinator with the expectation that she would be the stage manager on our wedding day, but she was so much more than that! It was wonderful to have an experienced person to help guide us through the planning process. She brings an air of confidence, calm, and light-heartedness to each meeting. That's why we invested in For Better or For Best: Because we wanted someone else to worry about the details while we enjoyed each other, and our guests! Kelly made sure no detail went unrecognized: From wind-proofing our centerpieces to emergency eyelash glue for the mother of the bride, she thought of it all! However, as a bride, what I most appreciated was the calm she brought to our day. It's easy for weddings to feel frenetic, yet Kelly eased our minds from the moment we began working with her until the end of our wedding day. I will always be grateful for the headspace Kelly opened for us to simply enjoy our wedding day!

Oh my Dear Kelly, You and Daniel were amazing! Your planning every detail and that great sense of calm that you have, was what helped it make a perfect day in every way. You brought such a wonderful energy to this event. Most definitely a coordinator, doing the job yet being a really fun guest and presence. You were on every detail that needed to happen before it happened. From keeping the ceremony perfectly timed to serving up cheesecake. It really made it possible for me to be present and really take in all the great moments of my sons' wedding. It was so comforting to have you on my team.
