This is going to be a long review, however If I can save another bride from the stress and tears, I went through then it’s worth it.
I can’t say or express this enough… RUN from Kerri at Forever us Destination Weddings & Honeymoons. I started working with Kerri in February of 2024 and I should have known when she rescheduled our first meeting together 3 different time that this wasn’t going to be a good experience for me or my guests. She did reschedule THIS meeting saying it was due to a family emergency, so we were understanding however through the entire process the family emergency excuse was used no less than 10 times making it seem like it was just another excuse. She was always out of the office, having family emergencies or connectivity issues.
After we signed the contract with Kerri it was one issue after another. I feel I did her job more than she did, I constantly had to ask her to send emails to my guests who reached out, send quotes (she said she sent them but due to whatever system they use no one was getting them and of course this wasn’t her fault, but when asked to “resend” them my guest received them fine), update the tracking spreadsheet (a spreadsheet she created so I could see who requested quotes, who booked, their booking dates and room category), run my guests credit cards, and update our wedding website. No matter what happened it was never Kerri’s fault, it was travel impressions, or the IT department, or gmail, or the resort. She never took responsibility for anything she did even when we all knew it was her mistake.
July 2024 I was feeling extremely defeated from working with her and I expressed my concerns to her, she told me she would audit all my guests invoices the next day and ensure everything was taken care of up to that point and FINALLY send people invoices because she never sent them when you would book and put your deposit down. Upon her audit she emailed one of my guests and told them they never paid their deposit, the guest replied showing the credit card transaction and Kerri replied that travel impressions lost the deposit and applied it to the wrong person…. How are we not checking where money is going when we are charging people cards, if I didn’t ask for this audit when would it have been found and corrected? She emailed people wrong payment amounts on invoices, wrong amounts of deposits paid, she would take weeks to run peoples credit cards (one time the digital card expired 2 weeks prior, when I had to ask her to please run the card). She overcharged a guest’s card, for an amount that wasn’t approved or even part of any discussion when it came to room cost. I also have a guest who received a free $700 night because her bookkeeping/organization skill are so terrible she didn’t realize she forgot to ask the resort to the change the dates until it was to late. Another guest was told she was paid in full; Kerri never ran her card and was emailed about potentially having her reservation cancelled because the room wasn’t paid for by the deadline (this was a month after the deadline). She told multiple guest’s wrong prices, and they had to question her in order to get the correct pricing. There is so much wrong when it came to how my guests were treated and the constant errors she made, most of my guests feared we wouldn’t have rooms when we arrived in Punta Cana it was so bad.
When my husband and I arrived in Punta Cana, we had no transportation (included in our room block), I reached out to Kerri’s boss as she is the contact when you are in country and received no reply for 3 days. My sister-in-law ended up calling from the states and was assured they would get this taken care of, and I would be emailed new travel documents by the end of the day. We ended up getting a ride to the resort ourselves and when we checked in with the transportation company for our return travel 2 days later, they still had no reservation for us. New documents were sent to us 3 days later but only after I emailed her again because 3 of my wedding guests didn’t have transportation either because Kerri had them on the wrong flights even though she was given everyone’s flight information. Kerri told me this would be taken care of, and she sent those guests updated paperwork…. The transportation company still had all the information incorrect and said she never reached out.
If you have stuck with me this long Thank you. This was the worst experience of my life, and I cried way too many tears over how terrible Kerri was. She truly made my wedding planning experience terrible, and I wanted to cancel everything way too many times because of her. She has acknowledged that she failed to prove herself trustworthy and apologized for how terrible this experience was…. But apologizes only go so far when you continue to make the same mistakes and missteps after the apology. Please don’t take my warning lightly…. RUN from this travel agent and company.
