First and foremost: WE LOVE KRISTIN!! If you make the brilliant decision to hire Fortuna's you will then have the honor of getting to know Kristin and Nancy -- it will make your wedding planning experience so much better. My wife and I got married on September 23, 2023, in Madison, CT. We knew from the get-go that food and drink would be central to our celebration, and that we wanted the wedding to feel like a massive, casual dinner party with all of our favorite people. Our wedding planner, the incredible Regina (of Weddings by Regina Marie), connected us with a small handful of possible vendors who she knew could make this feeling come to life. We fell instantly in love with Fortuna's after one conversation with Kristin. Her warmth and excitement about our possible menu carried through even a zoom screen (as we were planning our wedding from Denver, CO). We wanted to go with an eclectic menu, foods not typically found at a wedding. Kristin took our idea and created a drool-worthy, personalized menu. An olive and hummus bar, vegetarian samosas, garlic dips for chicken skewers, chickpea muhammara, butter chicken, turmeric rice, falafel -- just to name a handful of stars of the menu. My wife really wanted tater tots late in the night as well, and Fortuna's made this happen -- dipping sauces included! They also coordinated a cookie and donut bar for dessert which got truly RAVE reviews. Incredible! Kristin was so flexible as we made changes throughout the process. When we finally got to Connecticut for a tasting, Kristin and Nancy hosted not only us, but also both sets of our parents in their kitchen. The tasting was more like a meal that kept on feeding us for days after! When we requested little changes based on our guests' known preferences, they were so receptive and ready to hear that feedback. We also decided to have our drinks through Fortuna's, and they were a HIT! We have a friend who works in the wine industry and gifted us a ton of wine for our wedding. Kristin was, again, ready to adjust and helped us adjust our drink menu and cost based on the change. On the day of, the Fortuna's team was exceptionally warm, flexible with all of the last-minute rain-related changes, and took such beautiful care of us and our community. I could go (and have gone) on and on -- the day would not have been the same without Kristin (through every step of the way), and we are so deeply grateful.
