For a luxury hotel, their newly appointed event manager in charge of weddings, Stacey, is exceedingly difficult to work with. She was uncommunicative, most of the time not responding to emails for weeks unless I followed up. She was horrible at taking notes and could not be trusted to remember anything I told her.
For example, I wrote in an email that we wanted a cookies and cream cake. She responded to that same email confirming that we would be getting a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream.
She went behind my back and told our decor vendor not to bring the champagne glasses I ordered because she incorrectly wrote down that we would not be having champagne - I never once said we would not be having champagne.
She sent me an email saying she booked us the complimentary room that comes with the wedding package. Then a week later she informs me that she cancelled the room because she had mistakenly sent us a list of entrees that were not part of the “wedding package”, and because we chose an entree from that list, the entire wedding package (complimentary room, cake, etc.) was now negated. She did not inform us of this when we did the menu tasting months prior. If she had, we would have chosen different entrees. But she herself completely lacks understanding of the menu options for weddings, so she didn’t realize her mistake until her manager caught it.
She kept tacking on random fees, like a $200 fee to move the existing tables out of the reception area. Her manager later admitted that these fees are supposed to be for corporate events and not weddings, so she had to remove them. And they charge a $500 fee to bring in a cake from an outside vendor.
I could go on with dozens of other mistakes Stacey made, but then this review would become a novel. And with all of these mistakes, she never once took personal accountability, instead trying to shift the blame onto us. I am generously giving them two stars because the execution of the actual wedding day went smoothly. But everything leading up to the wedding day was very stressful, and not at all the level of service one would expect from a luxury hotel. The view from the balcony is pretty, but if I could go back in time I’d choose a different venue and save myself the hassle.
When we toured we fell in love with Kristen, the event coordinator. She was extremely organized and well spoken. After we confirmed our date, we got passed on to someone else who was fine but not Kristen. Kristen was amazing from the start but then we didn’t hear from her after about a month post signing the contract.
Thank god we had a wedding planner to keep the hotel on track. This is the most unprofessionally run hotel I have ever come across. They refused to set up my wedding in a reasonable amount of time due to “chance of rain” even though the wedding day coordinator through the hotel assured me they would set up rain or shine because the chance of rain was so low. The stage was set up totally incorrectly and again my wedding planner had to come to the rescue and tell them to rework the stage. My wedding started late. We told the hotel to set up for 205 people, they set up for 250 for the ceremony, so there were a ton of open seats. The ushers for my wedding couldn’t guide people to fill the seats front to back like we told the planner/ four seasons staff because the set up was so late and people arrived and were waiting for the set up team to finish. It was incredibly unprofessional.
This luxury hotel was the most un-luxurious event I have ever been apart of.
That was all the day of, the prep for the wedding was terrible too. When we arrived with our decor, the drop off spot staff refused to help with the decor though the event staff assured us they would guide us and help us take the decor to the storage room.
They market the venue as being a hands off wedding venue and no need for any wedding planners because they take care of you on the day of the event.
Then, after we signed a contract, they later suggested hiring a wedding planner for the day off coordination. Again, thank goodness I decided to hire an outside wedding planner.
If the servers and decor outside vendors provided weren’t so great at the reception I would have more to say. The chairs for the ballroom are also so ugly and the event staff even admits it, that again, we would have had to rent chairs to make this “luxury hotel” look luxury. Which again, this “hands off venue” had another thing to add onto the price to make it more hands ON.
We paid so much for luxury wedding service and this venue was the furthest thing from luxury service. The hotel is stunning but the staff seriously needs to get it together.
Lastly, the food at the tasting and the food at the event was different. This seems small but the chicken at the event was different than the chicken breast at the tasting two months prior. Why change?
Our experience overall at the Four Seasons was wonderful. It is a beautiful space and they provide almost of the amenities you could need. They were very accommodating to our dietary needs, which is why we ultimately booked them for our large wedding. Kristen, the sales manager, was amazing when we toured the venue, but we did have some difficulties with our event coordinator. We saw her once during the day of the wedding, and multiple things did not end up going as planned (lights were incorrect, dessert was served too early, hors d'oeuvres not adequately passed, etc.) None of this ruined our wedding, but given the cost of the venue and the amount of money spent, it was disappointing to see.
We had an absolutely stunning and flawless wedding ceremony and reception experience at The Four Seasons Hotel in St. Louis. Our guests are still raving about the smoothness of the evening from the execution of the order of events to the food. Kristen did a great job communicating throughout our wedding journey, and whenever a discrepancy occurred, she’d always be willing to work with us. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because our guests were definitely inconvenienced by a few things that I wouldn’t expect at such a luxurious hotel that prides itself on guest satisfaction and experience. On the Friday before the wedding, I’d say over 50 % of our guests were not able to check in until 6pm or after because the rooms were not ready. We had a rehearsal dinner at 6:30pm, so that was stressful for all of our out of town guests. The room service was also incredibly slow to non-existent. We also paid for immediate families’ rooms months in advance, but they were all charged the same room amounts that were already paid for. We received several phone calls the day after our wedding from unhappy friends and family members who’s cards were incorrectly charged- meaning that the hotel double charged for the rooms. That was very embarrassing for us. I really, really wanted to give a 5 star review, however the things that did go wrong were major and could not be overlooked. The hotel did rectify all of the inconveniences experienced by our guests, my husband and myself. If you’re looking for an elegant wedding experience book here, just be cognizant of staffing issues and other internal things that may still be affected by the pandemic that a lot of hotels are experiencing still.
Four Seasons Hotel did an absolutely unbelievable job with our entire wedding weekend & engagement. The venue is stunning, the food is some of the best food we have ever had (guests agreed), and the service was wonderful. Specifically Kristen Swidrak, the event coordinator at Four Seasons, helped us make every decision from small to large. She answered multiple emails with a long list of questions for our entire 18 month engagement. She executed all of our plans beautifully and made our wedding a dream come true. She met with and coordinated all our wedding vendors without our prompt, ran our rehearsal, and gave us her personal cell phone number the weekend of the wedding in case we needed anything. Four Seasons was not only beautiful, but it was efficient for the people planning the wedding & the wedding guests. You have a one stop shop for the food, alcohol, pastry chef, tables, linens, and day of coordinator. If you chose to not use Four Seasons house items, you can bring your own in - but it was so nice to only have to go to one meeting for all of these items. You don’t have to be emailing a ton of vendors because it is all through the same venue. For guests, once they arrive they don’t have to leave the venue if they don’t want to. There are great restaurants, room service, relaxing pool & spa, and more. If you even need a babysitter to stay in the hotel for kids during the wedding reception, they can help you find one! This made our process stress free. We can’t thank Four Seasons enough for their wonderful service & the beautiful wedding they hosted for us.
Kay and Kristen responded super quickly and were incredibly helpful. Our reception venue fell through last minute but Kristen was able to help us quickly book Four Seasons and we planned a wedding in 5 months!
The staff was so sweet the entire day and the food was AMAZING. A lot of people have told me it was the best wedding food they’ve had!
The view to the arch is perfect for people visiting from out of town and different sections of the venue (6th floor) allowed for people to be outside or indoors.
Took good safety precautions during the pandemic too.
Everything was perfect!
I could not recommend getting married at the Four Seasons enough. Their event coordinator, Kristen, was beyond amazing. Her communication was prompt and efficient, I don't think I ever had to wait 24 hours for a reply (no matter how many questions I had!). She made my planning my perfect day a breeze and she helped accommodate every request we had. Their whole staff was top notch and everything on the day of the wedding went so smoothly, even when we had to make last minute changes. Our wedding was about a month ago and we have not stopped getting compliments on how beautiful and wonderful everything was. And the food and the cake were AMAZING! I'm still dreaming about the dinner. I could not be happier that we chose to have our wedding here.
I truly can not recommend The Four Seasons enough, not only for a wedding but any special event. The staff, especially the Director of Catering/Wedding Coordinator Kristen, was exceptional! Her precise detail, prompt communication, and lovely spirit enhanced our experience tremendously. The dream wedding I always wanted came to fruition because of every fine detail that the staff puts so much effort into. The food was incredible, and every staff member went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. It was a day and memory we will cherish forever due to the wonderful experience we had!
The most professional, detail-oriented and stunningly gorgeous venue! Thank you to the Four Seasons for giving us the most incredible day and memories for a lifetime. Kristen is great to work with. She is very professional and accommodating! We were also so impressed with the incredible cake that the Four Seasons pastry team created for us. Thank you so much to the entire team for everything.
I can’t say enough wonderful things about the Four Seasons St Louis and especially about Kristen S! She removed so much of the stress of wedding planning and was there throughout the wedding day to ensure everything went as planned. We loved the outdoor terrace for the ceremony site with the Arch as a backdrop. We used many vendors from the Four Seasons recommended list and loved all of them. The food was excellent and every detail we requested was ensured. I would recommend the Four Seasons to anyone looking for a personalized, elegant event in the St Louis area and would choose it again in a heartbeat.
We can’t recommend The Four Seasons St. Louis ENOUGH for any kind of event, but especially your wedding. The event coordinator at the hotel, Kristen, is very prompt, knowledgeable, and efficient. She listened to what we envisioned and made it happen! Our wedding went so smoothly, and a huge reason why is because of her.
The venue itself is gorgeous and makes for beautiful and versatile pictures. The staff members were all so welcoming, kind, and professional. The food was delicious- especially the carrot cake wedding cake (some of our guests even said they don’t typically like carrot cake, but they liked the four season’s)!
Convenience was a huge factor for me when planning our wedding. It was handy having the food, dessert, and alcohol provided by the venue, so I didn’t have to hire those vendors separately. A lot of our guests also expressed how amazing it was to have an evening ceremony, go straight to cocktail hour/reception, and then take an elevator up to their hotel rooms at the end of the night!
We’re so happy we chose to have our wedding here!
The Four Seasons was wonderful to work with, always professional, and made us feel like we were the most important people in the room. The cake and food were so beautiful and tasty! We were lucky that we got to work with the staff at the Four Seasons. If you're on the fence, I'd say go for it, because the Four Seasons is super accommodating.
Our wedding at the Four Seasons was FLAWLESS!! Kristen & Danielle were both amazing!! Our tasting was so much more intimate than what we were expecting and turned into a super fun date night! Pre-wedding/rehearsal and the day itself was a dream! They took care of everything and it was as beautiful as I imagined. Highly recommend the brunch wedding! We had a Sunday morning 11am ceremony on the rooftop in May and the weather and scenery were gorgeous! I cannot say enough about why you should get married here! Kristen and her team will literally do it all for you! Danielle took care of our rehearsal dinner and it was a dream! We sat outside and had custom menus that I pulled from Pinterest and Danielle made it come to life. Another awesome'ism about this place, the champagne just kept flowing! They made us feel so special!! We stayed 2 more days on a "mini moon" and enjoyed the spa, the pool, and the cinder house bar. We have ZERO complaints! It was PERFECT! Thank you Four Seasons, Kristen, Danielle, and team for making our day so magical!!

Kristen and her team could not have made our wedding weekend any better. Their level of service and commitment to our needs was simply outstanding. Not to mention, the venue itself is breathtakingly gorgeous. Can’t recommend them enough!
Four Seasons was the first venue I visited & it was love at first sight that I didn't even care to visit the others I had in mind (no regrets whatsoever). My husband & I originally decided to get married next year when covid calms down so we can have a bigger wedding but life happens & we ended up rushing our wedding in 38 days.
I couldn't find a wedding planner last minute but fortunately, Kristen was there & assured us things will run smoothly. From the beginning, Kristen helped us with any way she could & accommodated all of our requests. My husband says Ramo was also a big help during the day of because Ramo was there making sure things were getting done on the guys' side. One of the things guests will remember about any wedding is the food. The food was definitely higher quality than any weddings I have been to! Kristen & Ramo even found a loophole for us to have a traditional Bosnian meat/cheese plate at each table so that we can have that "touch of Bosnia" feel because it is against their policy to bring outside food.
We had our ceremony on the arch view terrace. The rain was on & off that day but luckily, it stopped raining when we needed the terrace. Four Seasons didn't even force us to move the ceremony inside & waited 'til last minute to see if the weather would change & I am very grateful for that because I really wanted my ceremony outside in front of the arch! The ballroom is an amazing space to have as a reception because of the amazing chandeliers, high ceiling, & space - it will really give your guests that WOW factor. Just a few steps from the ballroom is another terrace which also has some nice views. Smoking is allowed there, which made our smoker guests happy. We also had a surprise firework show on that terrace & it was convenient for the guests to walk from the ballroom. The bridal suite was spacious, clean and had an amazing view of the arch. My bridesmaids were very impressed. Even to today, we still get compliments on our wedding. Four Seasons just made our wedding feel "high class" & I am glad I was able to have my wedding there. This is one of the memories I will forever cherish.
Our wedding was October 23, 2021. The Bridal Luncheon, wedding reception, and farewell breakfast were all held at the Four Seasons. All of our guests stayed there as well! Everything couldn’t have been more perfect. The service, food, drinks and rooms were all top notch! We couldn’t be happier with the experience we had with the Four Seasons. Kristen and her team are amazing!
Choosing the Four Seasons as our ceremony and reception wedding venue was one of the best decisions we ever made! Every single detail from the view, amenities, service, professionalism exceeded all of our expectations. Our guests still talk about it to this day.
Kristen and the entire Four Seasons St. Louis team were a pleasure to work with! They were extremely timely and responsive during the entire planning process. She was always there to make accommodations and handle any request we may have had.
On our big day, we truly felt like royalty. The bridal suite has so much space for getting ready for the entire bridal party and/or friends and family. The service was impeccable all day long - from bringing in coffee to the bridal suite, brining in extra refrigerators so we could have more space for our refreshments, ironing the mens clothes in the spa and so much more. During the ceremony and reception, every Four Seasons staff member was extremely professional and efficient. All food and drink service was quick and great quality - above expectations.
I would highly recommend this venue for all of your wedding needs! They make it an easy and stress free process from beginning to end!
Choosing the Four Seasons as our venue was the best decision we made in planning our wedding. From the start, we were impressed with the professionalism of Kristen - who guided us through the entire process!
At each stage of preparation we were given incredible recommendations and our difficult requests were accommodated! We were made to feel as though our event was the highest priority.
On our big day, the care and attention paid to every detail despite unforeseen changes and challenges made what should have been stressful, very easy.
On top of that, the service, amenities, view and perfect food and drink made us and our guests feel like royalty!
Finally, the bridal suite was so spacious and luxurious that we did not want to leave. Can we please move in with you Four Seasons? LOL thanks so much for having us!

My experience at the Four Seasons was over the top! Everything for my daughters wedding last September was truly perfect! If there was something along the way that we needed to change they did it! Kristen Sidwak and her team were amazing! She pulled out all the stops , and our wedding was truly perfect! She was so easy to work with, and made the whole experience so enjoyable! When my daughter wanted her wedding outside and the weather was not going to cooperate that day, once again Kristen came to the rescue, and made it happen! The wedding was magical, and everything from the Decor, food, cake and everything in between was perfect! I would highly recommend the Four Seasons in Saint Louis Missouri ❤️
My fiancé (now wife) and I spent a lot of time researching and interviewing different wedding venues in Saint Louis. The last place we interviewed was the Four Seasons and it was clear that we needed to hire them for our wedding (and fast). I can honestly say the entire team (especially Kristen Swidrak) were some of the most professional group of people I have ever been associated with in my life. I know how busy this group of people are with various events every week but I have to say that my wife and I always truly felt as if we were the most important customers they had. They (by far) exceeded every single expectation we had for our wedding. It was been 8 months and people are still talking today about the elegance and professionalism that night at the Four Seasons. Thank you everybody who was involved with our wedding! We will always be grateful to you!
Our entire wedding planning experience at the Four Seasons, from our initial tour to our wedding day, was completely incredible. We worked closely with Kristen and Samantha to make sure every detail, big or small, was just how we wanted. Most incredibly, the Four Seasons was able to accommodate an all KOSHER and VEGAN menu! And all our guests raved about the food :) The entire Four Seasons team, from the front desk staff to the kitchen crew, were extremely professional and attuned to our every need. Any little snag was taken care of being we even had to mention it or realized it in the first place. It is the small and thoughtful touches that the Four Seasons brings to weddings that really sets it apart. As the bride, I felt like a princess when I arrived in my bridal suite and found a huge basket of bridal goodies for myself and my bridesmaids. Additionally, we were surprised and delighted to find out the Four Seasons had left cookie decorating kits in the rooms of our child guests. I cannot more highly recommend a wedding at the Four Seasons. Everything was topnotch and left us with the most unforgettable memories :)
PERFECT!! This is the best way to describe our daughters wedding weekend! Kristen, the director of catering and conference services was outstanding! She was extremely calm, organized and confident! From the tasting, to the brunch the morning after, it was flawless! The entire staff, including the chef and everyone involved were kind, professional and accommodating! Perfect venue for our daughters wedding and reception! The wedding was to be outside, with the arch as the backdrop! Unfortunately, weather conditions had a different idea. Within minutes, Kristen moved the event inside with no flaws! It looked stunning!!! Twenty minutes from the airport, made it so convenient for our guests from all over the country!! Cinder House restaurant was unbelievable for breakfast, lunch on the patio and a romantic dinner! The outdoor beautiful bar area was fabulous for conversation the evening prior to the wedding. Thank you Four Seasons for making our daughters dream wedding come true!!
I had the pleasure of having my wedding reception at The Four Seasons in the Grand Ballroom and I cannot say enough about our experience. From the moment we checked in, the front desk staff knew that we were the Bride and Groom to be. We were greeted with glasses of Champagne and tons of smiles and congratulations. Leading up until the actual wedding day, I was stress free. The staff, especially my Event Planner Tarin, took care of every single request...No matter how big or small...things just appeared out of nowhere! The morning of my wedding leading into the reception was absolutely flawless!! The food at the reception was delicious, the cake was amazing, and the Grand Ballroom is EVERYTHING! The chandeliers even change colors! I chose a beautiful pink hue that made everyone look LOVELY. I want to say THANK YOU to the staff at The Four Seasons Saint Louis, from the Valet, Bell men, Front Desk staff to my AMAZING Event Planner Tarin!! I highly recommend this venue!!!
My husband and I made the BEST decision by having our wedding at the Four Seasons St. Louis. We had our ceremony on the terrace and the reception in the ballroom. It is a beautiful venue, from the amazing view of the arch to the exquisite ballroom. The Four Seasons made us and all of our guests feel like royalty during our wedding weekend. The staff was phenomenal to work with! Danielle offered advice every step of the way and was so great about comminicating with us in a timely manner. She made the stressful tasks of wedding planning so easy and fun! ALL of the staff who worked during our event helped make our night so special. Maurice waited on the head table and he was SO attentive. He made sure we had everything we needed and, most of all, he made sure we were having a blast. We loved our experience at this hotel and will cherish the memory of our wedding day. The Four Seasons Hotel is the perfect wedding venue downtown!! We will definitely be back to celebrate our anniversaries in the future.
