I met Frank when I stood up in my friend (L's) wedding (2/15/14). He was BY FAR the most creative, professional, efficient photog I've seen--and I've stood up in 6 weddings to date..... As an engaged woman myself, I was enjoying L's wedding thr...ough a new lense (planning my own) and Frank was shockingly good at his job.
He was informative about how to stand as a bridal party, as we were thinking about other things, it was nice to have a "director". He was patient with family (L's family is HUGE!), he was direct and kind, and knew how to "get the shot" quickly and graciously. He was the perfect balance between patience and swiftness.
Planning the Day Of Itinerary, you forget how much time it takes to corralle people for pictures. (When all you really want as the B&G is to relax and celebrate with your people.) Frank's years of experience and attention to detail make him a cut above anyone else you could think to hire.
For our wedding (Labor Day, Sept 1, 2014), it was important to us that our friends-many of them talented photographers in their own right-enjoy the day too!! We didn't want to put our friends to work. Usually, the appeal of hiring friends is that they have a personal connection and will get candid shots and see things a stranger might not see. **Frank SHOOTS like a best friend of the couple, but has the focus and work ethic of hired professional.**
Frank is amazing-easy to communicate with, self-sufficient, impulsive and goofy when appropriate, quiet and stands back when appropriate... It's never "about him" and always "about the day". I know this review has already gone long, but as I think about the day, the planning leading up, the payment plan (40% when booked, 30% 2wks before, 30% when pics are ready); I truly cannot imagine a better investment. Frank is worth every penny and you'll want to double his price by the time he's done.
If you book him, consider yourselves in phenomenal hands; trust him, Frank's got you covered.
