I'm informing you, a year later, after the post below; nothing has changed! My rings should've been sent for inspection and repair around February 2023, but I truly have been holding off because of the hassel this company has given me last year. Now, there is a new process to submit a claim online. So, you can either type in the customers phone # AND zip code or the Order Number AND zip code. It doesn't matter if you have your receipt, your lifetime care plan information, nothing. They need the person who bought it's information. That should not matter, as I am the owner of the property now. I have been getting my ring serviced and maintained for the past 4 years and now you want to tell me it's not honored?
What a croc.... I'll never buy another item or ever refer anybody to this company!
June 27, 2022
I purchased my engagement ring through Littman Jewelers February of 2019 & my wedding band shortly after. I've had all the maintenance work done to it as directed. My store in Greensburg closed down at the end of 2020, so now I am forced to send my jewelry to Fred Meyer Jewelers. I sent it out February of 2022 to be inspected, only to have to turn around in May to send it back because there were diamonds that were loose. I didn't have any issues in February, however, this time around has been A NIGHTMARE. I sent it on May 26th, and it arrived the next day. On 6/8, they send me an email stating my rings are not under the "Lifetime Care Plan" even though I had two receipts that say otherwise. Needless to say, after 2 days of going back and forth with them, they "settled" with me and said they'll add it on the plan, even though It's on there.
Last week, 6/21, I contacted them to see how far along they've gotten, because at this point... I DON'T TRUST THEM! They tell me, "We were waiting on you to give us a card on file because you don't have lifetime care on it." We then "got it straightened" out again, with a million apologies and said my ring was going to be expedited to be done. Fast forward a week later- 6/27/22 and they're STILL telling me my ring has not had the work to it because they have to send me an estimate because again, I don't have a lifetime warranty plan. She then proceeds to tell me she's sorry and I can't talk to anyone else until they get her email because they work remotely now due to Covid. This company I feel is trying to scam people telling them they don't have this lifetime care plan to gain more money. This is sick. DO NOT buy jewelry from this company.
I have reviews on other sites if you want the full scenario, but here's a piece because there aren't enough characters on here to explain all of the problems in our 3 MONTH ordeal with this jeweler.
First of all, my fiance and I were informed towards the end of this ordeal that the salesman who sold him the ring should have informed him in order to get the size we needed, the ring should have been custom made which means every problem we have had was completely avoidable if one person would have done their job correctly to start with.
We were on a trip when he proposed so we weren’t able to immediately bring the ring in for a stone that was missing when he proposed. We brought the ring to the Meridian Fred Meyer on Fairview in the middle of September when we returned and the saleswoman insinuated that I must have been too rough with the ring to make a stone fall out. When I corrected her that it was missing when I received it, she gave me an apology and said it was fixable since we bought the most expensive care plan. The ring also needed sized to my finger which she said was no problem and that sizing wouldn’t affect the stones in my band. I was given a carbon copy for my records and told the ring would be back in a week in the right size (she sized me as a 4, this will be relevant for future mistakes).
One week later, a different person calls me to inform me that their local goldsmith didn’t have equipment to work on this ring, but the goldsmith hadn’t informed them of that fact until the deadline the ring was supposed to be fixed in. I was disappointed, but understood and told them it was fine to send the ring out to get repaired. The salesman said it would be back in one week from THAT day now, if the ring had been right when it came back. It wasn’t. So my fiance picked up the ring from the Meridian Fred Meyer for me and when I got it, I had a very difficult time getting it on my finger. I thought maybe my fingers were swollen and it was my fault. I took it back to the store that Tuesday, but decided to go the Fred Meyer closer to my work. They sized the ring and the ring was a size 3¾, a quarter size too small. I felt relieved it was the ring and not me, but also frustrated that the ring was sized incorrectly. I was resized at this location, given apologies and the saleswoman told me I wasn’t a 4, I was actually a 4½ which made sense to me because the ring seemed very small. I told them I trusted whatever they thought my size was.
One week later my ring came in, again, in the size 4½ and the store manager, Steve, gave it to me to try on. The ring was too big, significantly. He apologized and explained that a lot of the staff at the various stores are new and don’t know how to size for rings like mine properly and that he would size me and make it right. He sized me and sized me as 4 (which is what I was originally sized). The ring came in as promised on Friday which we were very grateful for and thanked the manager and it fit! I wore it for the weekend and then Monday morning noticed that the exact same stone that had fallen out before was missing again.
We took the ring into the Franklin Fred Meyer to talk to Steve. He looked at the ring under the microscope and said that all of the prongs on the sides were damaged from the resizing and it was likely stones would continue to fall out.
It is 11/19/18. I STILL do not have my ring right now.
Supposedly, I will receive my ring tomorrow. We’ll see if it fits.
Fred Meyer Jewelers staff was absolutely amazing. They were very thorough explaining our payment options and were able to get a payment plan that worked great for us. Also, they special ordered my husband’s ring and had it rush delivered just in time for our big day.
Came to the Fred Meyer Jewelers in the Kent/Des Moines area to look for a birthday gift for my wife. An associate by the name of Tracy helped me. I told her kind of what I was looking for, my budget, etc. She kept guiding me to things that were the complete opposite of what I wanted! It's as if she wasn't listening to a word I said. Extremely frustrating. She didn't seem the friendliest either. In a jewelery store, where I know they get paid commission, you'd think they would be happy to greet a customer. Tracy seemed so annoyed that I walked in there - just a really cold feeling from the get-go. After a while and almost leaving with nothing for my wife, the associate that had been cleaning glass came over. I believe her name was Kay or Kaylin. She was very friendly and very helpful. She guided me right over to a pair of diamond studs within budget and sold me on the care plan which is actually a really good deal. I will be coming back to shop here, from her specifically.
Found exactly what we were looking for! Very friendly staff!
Our experience at Fred Meyer was great! We got both of our wedding bands here. The service was great and the employees helping us were awesome!
I had a bad experience with Kay Jewelers so I tried Fred Meyer on Bakerview in Bellingham, WA. They were fine and I really didn't have any complaints. I bought my husband's ring, got some jewelry cleaned, repaired and my rings resized and joined together for a decent price.
Only complaint was that the woman helping me was hot and cold depending on the day so it was a little unsettling not knowing how she'd treat me. Also whoever fixed my bracelet left black smudges on the metal so I had to wipe and scrape it off. Nothing big but it freaked me out for a minute.
My husband found a very unique ring that he loves there! All of the staff was very friendly and helpful and did not pressure us.
we have used them before and loved them. my husband has always bought my jewelry from them so he went back there and they gave him a great deal! super nice and always clean jewelry for free!
My husband chose a beautiful Canadian Ice solitaire and we paired it with a 10 diamond channel-set band. Simple, yet truly stunning.
So good! Our rings were beautiful! And such good service and free add ons:) Great!
When my fiance went in to buy my ring the guy checked his credit and saw that it was good and tried to sell him a ring that was way more than he should have spent... thankfully he did not... Do people really spend three months salary on an egagement ring still?
Other than that I love my ring and matching band and my husband loves his as well... have bought several other items from them since then just went to a different sales person who let us choose what was right for us.
Exactly what I had envisioned and at a great price for the quality
My bands came together perfectly to create a truly spectacular ring! The ladies there were perfectly professional and helped me find what I was looking for!
We got my engagement ring and our wedding bands at Fred Meyer jewelers. I loved the selection and I have the perfect rings!
I'm so happy with the ring that my husband got me. It is a unity band, so it does not have a separate wedding band, but is all one piece. I love that is feels very unique, but classy at the same time. I know that by buying my ring here there is a chance that others could have the same ring, but my husband and I looked at many places and this one was by far the best style for me and the value was excellent. I will love looking at this ring everyday :)
they were so helpful and kind and very considerate.
My husband picked out my engagement ring here (he did a good job!) and I picked out the wedding band. The one I pick went perfectly with my ring. The lady who helped us was very friendly and talkative.
My now husband got my bridal set from Fred Meyer Jewelers in Covington WA when he was picking out the engagement set. After he proposed we went and picked out his band and he was really pleased with what he had selected. I have gotten mine resized several times and he actually lost a couple of the diamonds and they replaced them without any hassle--we have the lifetime warranty and are grateful as we have more than used our fair share. The employees are really nice and helpful! And it's nice to be able to get your ring cleaned while you shop!
We got a good deal on our rings.
Great customer service and value
we bought our rings here. Great quality and great service. Would definitely recommend
We found my wedding ring so easily at Fred Meyers. Every location we walk into just to pick at was nicer than the last. The staff was kind and patient. The prices were great and I love everything about the lifetime warranty. We bought all of our rings here and I suggest them to everyone.
We got all our jewelry from Freddy's, and we couldn't be happier. the stones are beautiful. They do free cleanings and dippings. LOVE LOVE LOVE my ring!
these guys were great! they have a diamond event 2x/year where they have amazing deals with the diamonds and the setting separate.
We purchased a 1.7ct solitaire and gold band with diamonds from Fred Meyer's in Alderwood Mall (Lynnwood, WA). The ring came in silver so we had them remount the diamond of my choice in a gold setting. It was ready in just a few days!! The workmanship was beautiful and the service exceptional.
The lifetime warranty was very well priced and when I went back for the 6 month check up in the DC area, the staff was just as wonderful and kind! They do not just forget about you once they've made a sale. I'm a Fred Meyer/Littmans customer for LIFE!
Great prices and fantastic service. Love the fact that I can have work done on the ring at any of thier locations arcoss the country as long as I have the warranty papers with me. Also very fast, I have had my ring sized twice, and each time it was done the same day.
