Amazing photos capturing a beautiful night.

Some of the best wedding photos I’ve ever seen! And it wasn’t my wedding and I technically wasn’t in the wedding. I may be biased as it is my best friend but I have a couple best friends and they are also married and these photographers take the cake! If I am getting married in an area that they could be my photographers I must say I’d book them. Gorgeous photos, lovely people, amazing night and they captured the memories in a way that takes my breath away.

From the Hip Photo took the photographs for one of my best friend’s wedding. They were INCREDIBLE. To every guest they were personable and kind. They were very helpful and efficient directing each of us to get all the shots the bride and groom wanted. The pictures themselves came out absolutely perfect. I am so happy her day was so beautifully captured!

Nina and Danny were exceptional. They traveled to Crested Butte for our August wedding and captured every single moment from our rehearsal dinner, to the epic first look dance party, our beautiful vortex of a ceremony and our reception with all of our favorite people. We never noticed them which made everything that much more organic. Every single person looked like super models. What an adventure! Nina and Danny are not only superb photographers but just generally really awesome people. My husband and I are in the wedding industry ourselves so we have worked with many talented photographers, many of whom we could have chosen to help us with our wedding photos. But after we saw the pictures from our surprise proposal shoot, we knew for certain that we wanted From the Hip to share our wedding day with us as well. We used From the Hip Photo for our Engagement and Wedding photos. We loved working with such positive and creative people, our photographer Josie was the absolute best. To me photos are one of the most important pieces to get right for your wedding and From the Hip Photo captured some great memories of our day for us.

We absolutely loved our From the Hip Photo team! They came fully prepared with a plan to get the best possible photos of our wedding and they managed awkward family conflicts with grace. We couldn’t be happier with the finished product and most of all we enjoyed spending time with them on our special day!

I loved the work From the Hip did with my engagement shoot and wedding. For our wedding, Ashleigh and her assistant had amazing energy, kept everyone going, and got everyone moving (when they weren't paying attention). The photos turned out gorgeous, and there are too many to choose from that are the type we wanted- candid, happy, capturing the feeling of the day. If you're thinking about whether or not to do an engagement shoot, DO IT. We had so many nerves doing our engagement shoot (and somehow still had beautiful pictures), but the shoot helped us get comfortable with being in front of the camera, and allowed Ashleigh a chance to get to know us before being a part of our wedding day. When we first visited the from the hip photo studio, we felt welcomed and that we were around total professionalism and kindness. They were such a pleasure and so easy to work with and communicate with. Our big day was amazing! Thanks to Ashleigh our lead photographer who got it done! All of our request were easily taken care of, and we had such an amazing experience! We are still waiting to see our photos, but I’m positive they will be beautiful with Ashleigh’s artistic view and professionalism! We love you from the hip photo! From the first meeting, everyone at From The Hip was kind, friendly and easy to work with. On the big day, we unfortunately had a medical emergency that affected the timeline of events, but Josie our photographer was flexible and professional. She easily rearranged things so we still got all the photos we wanted, including a first look in front of an amazing Colorado sunset. I would recommend From The Hip to everyone I know!

My experience with Nina with From the Hip was exceptional. She did an outstanding job on our engagement photo shoot (I heard from a lot of people that our photos looked like a picture out of a magazine!); and an amazing job on our wedding up in the mountains even though we had some weather complications. I could not have asked for a better photographer. She was very detail oriented, and full of fun ideas to make our photos totally different than every other wedding photo! She went above and beyond what I had expected from my photographer. she even let us use her phone and offered to buy us food while we were stuck on top of the mountain due to lightning. We were a little hesitant since their pricing was higher than what we wanted to spend on our photography, but it was worth every penny and we were super super happy with the outcome! Many of our guests, including both my and my husband's family came up to me after the wedding and told us how good of a job Nina did at the wedding by being a ninja photographer and capturing every moment.

We recently had Ashleigh and Nina photograph our wedding in the Highlands/Denver a couple weeks ago—we were just so thrilled with the experience and can’t wait to see our beautiful photos. They made us feel comfortable and confident, giving us cues and organizing our wedding party and family quickly and efficiently. They were cognizant of getting our desired shots taken while letting us get the most out of our big day! Everything went so quickly and I wish I could have been in all the places at once—but knowing we’ll have beautiful memories taken by the From The Hip team makes my heart happy.

Words cannot explain how amazing our experience was with From the Hip. They were so easy to work with from the moment we contacted them about being our photographers for our destination wedding. If I could give more stars I absolutely would!! From the first phone call with Danny we knew that FTH would be our photographers, they were so personable and down to earth! We had a unique situation in that we had our ceremony in Colorado and our reception in NJ. Nina and Danny were able to accommodate our request and we were so happy to have Nina with us for both of our celebrations! The photos were incredible and they were great to work with from start to finish, we couldn't be happier! Highly highly recommend.

I wish there was sixth star I could give Danny and Nina. They helped made planning the wedding fun. Over a beer, no less, we came up with how we wanted the event captured, and the results were exactly what we wanted. We had them shoot both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding, highly recommended, and bring along a photo booth to the wedding. (They staff the "booth" with a photographer to make sure every image is picture-perfect. I still see friends posting their pictures!) And how lovely it was to have them there!

After doing our engagement shoot with From the Hip, we knew our wedding photos were going to be just as spectacular. For both the engagement session and the wedding, my wife and I were nervous about feeling too staged and cheesy. We absolutely LOVED From the Hip Photo and can't recommend them highly enough. We got married at the Botanic Gardens and had a reception at Moss Denver and they were incredibly easy to work with, familiar with both locations, and made everyone feel comfortable and beautiful the entire day. Communication in the beginning was very good, I did ask once or twice if I could meet with the photographer. It's crucial to have clear communication about what's expected from everyone. Did not receive a clear answer, but was told that if I have any questions or photos that we would like to have our session inpsired by, to let them know. I sent about 4 photos, none of which are close to ours. WHICH IS OKAY, a simple "we may not be able to duplicate these" would have been appreciated. They told us to pick the location and they were happy to book it. We found it on their website. We had a session on a Sunday night, and there were about 20-30 other people there. Being we took the inspiration from their website, one could assume the photographers are well aware that there may be a crowd of people. We would have picked a different location. That was inconsiderate. Our photographer was very nice and friendly and even asked us if we wanted any additional shoots we had in mind after our appointment. It did feel a bit rushed. I understand, It's only an hour. However, I would so much rather have only 10 incredible pictures than tons and tons of posed, awkward pictures. The background was so beautiful. I cried for so long when I saw these pictures were not what I had expected. And I've looked on their website, I had sent pictures so they could at least get a feel what I am looking for, it was just not even close. In my opinion. And so I emailed one of the owners and politely stated, we are not interested in downloading or purchasing any of the photos and asked if we could get a refund. I even thanked them for shooting with us! I received a phone call while at work, and a voicemail from the other owner explaining that she received my email and wanted to touch base. I didn't want to touch base. If I wanted to make fuss or give any feedback I would have called. But I emailed. A simple "Unfortunately Victoria we do not give refunds" email back would have been 10000000% fine. I just wanted to move on. With hesitation, I called back and left a voicemail explaining that I was at work, but am on lunch. Owner calls me back asking for feedback and I explained that it felt rushed and we were just not satisfied with the photos, they seemed posed, and only wanted to know if we could get our money back. She says to me "to be frank, I think they came out really beautiful." I told her thank you and that's great you feel that way but at the end of the day they are not her photos. This went BACK AND FORTH for what felt like 10 minutes. She kept telling me it was her favorite shoot and that she thought I looked really beautiful, again, thanked her for the compliments but we did not feel that way. She asked if they could do additional tweaking, don't know why since my complaint were the poses. She offered a new shoot, she would do it herself, at this point BEYOND not interested. Mentioned they couldn't refund, I said that's okay I just wanted to move on. Eventually I got fed up and told her that her continued opinions on our photos felt like she was trying to make me feel guilty or to agree. She insisted that wasn't the case. Throughout the ENTIRE conversation she laughed. I asked her if she thought this was funny, she said it was "awkward." The most unprofessional conversation ever. Most unpleasant experience. So pushy. So rude.

The whole team was amazing from the start of planning our wedding to the wedding itself! Ashleigh was amazing at bothe sessions we had with her! Such a great company to work with and the pictures are incredible!

They were so easy to work with, they were not intrusive, if we asked for a specific photo, it was done! Beautiful pictures!

As is fairly typical, my lovely (now) wife took on a lot of the planning for our wedding. Though I often do sweat a lot of details, I knew that most wedding details would matter more to her. I was happily a participating passenger rather than the driver for our big day. With most wedding choices she'd present a few options and we would work towards a choice together. Easy peasy. Choosing who would document this day in photographs was an entirely different story. She pointed me to From the Hip's site and let me know she was setting up a meeting. The portfolio was (is) impressive. I had no problem with her choice. The meeting was with Danny. There was a natural click that both put us at ease and made us very eager to work with From the Hip. Each example looked like a model wedding...Except they were real weddings because Danny would talk fondly of the people in each photo they chose to present. Like he was a friend who enjoyed his work. Deal:sealed. Nina photographed our wedding. Nina is great to work with and had all kinds of great ideas. Your wedding is a day when you should feel special. We did that well, and Nina was instrumental in us feeling very VERY cool on top of that. Seriously, rock stars. Nina and Danny have to be the very raddest couple around. In the end all you have are your memories. Nina and Danny captured our day better than we could have ever remembered on our own. They made me want to host more events. And have them all photographed.

From the Hip went above and beyond for our wedding. Not only do our photos look more beautiful than our wildest dreams, but they were also the most helpful and easy to work with team. At any point in the process, they were available for anything from recommending makeup vendors to just generally calming my nerves as a bride. Our wedding photos are beyond amazing! We love each and every photo. Nina took the time to look through sample photos that I loved so we could recreate exactly what I pictured and she took many others that were better than what I had envisioned. She captured everything from the little detail up to the large landscape of our Arrowhead venue. She has the talent and the eye and made us look good! For our engagement photos, we couldn't come to Colorado since we were living in Miami and crazily enough Danny was coming to Miami for another shoot and carved out some time for our engagement shoot. He was very flexible and pleasant to work with and our photos turned out great! When we showed friends and family our photos, they said it looks like a cover of a bridal magazine and we agree. We couldn't believe how well it all turned out. We are extremely glad we went with From the Hip to capture one of the most important days of our lives. I picked From the Hip and could not have been happier. Since i had a small court wedding i didnt need the whole 4 photogs for 6 hour deal. From the Hip sent one photog who was fabulous to help capture the moments for a a fee that was very reasonable. Would recommend them every time!

If I could give more stars, I would! From the beginning, photography was my number 1 priority when it came to wedding budgeting. I scoured the internet, and me and my (new!) husband interviewed many great candidates. From the get go, we knew that From the Hip was our #1 choice. These people just "get it!". Our photographers were Kristin and Katie, and they knocked it out of the park. We were able to do a most cherished at-home engagement shoot prior to the wedding that left me breathless. Even shots that I could have sworn would be less than flattering were just breathtaking, playful, light and tender. The same applies to our wedding photos. They so captured the essence of our fun day, and were even more excited about our quirky details than we were! Communication with our photographers was astounding throughout the whole process, and both Katie and Kristin were respectful, sweet, professional and creative in every encounter along the way. I cannot say enough good things about From the Hip- book them and you won't be sorry!

A family friend of ours suggested that we use From the Hip after they did their wedding. We are so happy we used their suggestion because they were fantastic!! The pictures turned out absolutely beautiful and Nina was amazing to work with! I cannot get enough of the pictures and my friends and family agree!

We just finished looking through the photos from our wedding on October 4th a few days ago and we are blown away! From the Hip did such an amazing job getting creative photos of us all around the Botanic Gardens, as well as capturing moments throughout the day that were really special to us. Their experience is really evident in the photos they captured without me noticing they were even standing there! I couldn't believe it when I saw a photo of my dad's face the first time he saw me in my dress because I didn't even realize they had walked into the room and were photographing. From the Hip is a gem of a company. From the moment we contacted them, they have been great. We were paired with Kristin who has such an easy personality to just let you be yourself. We did the Cherry on Top package and it was totally worth it...it included an hour session which I used as a boudoir session, an engagement session which Kristin drove to where we lived, two photographers for the wedding plus a third photographer for a photobooth. Kristin and Nora made the day of photos so easy and fun and they felt like old friends. They helped scope out a location for First Look photos and made that little session a lot of fun and easing pre-ceremony jitters. The photobooth was such an unexpected hit and the photos look so wonderful. It can be hard to just be photogenic but they gave great directions and made it fun and easy on top of great photography. Our favorite aspect of From the Hip is how authentic the photos look...less posed and stiff. They really work their asses off to capture people how they really are.

FROM THE HIP PHOTO went above and beyond to capture our wedding. They were documenting our day from beginning to end, but they also used their photography to tell the story of our day. They focused on details as well as the big picture. FROM THE HIP PHOTO also brought creative ideas to the table which allowed us to have those fun/off-beat and unique photos. Most importantly, they really gave us a lot of great proofs to choose from, and they went the distance when it came to editing down our top pictures. We can't recommend them enough. Seriously amazing.

Danny and Nina were amazing! From the very start they were very easy to work with and the communication was great! They have a creative eye and their photos are just beautiful. While we were conscious of cost in looking for vendors for our May 2015 wedding, one area where we knew we were not spending but INVESTING was in a photographer. We searched high and low for the perfect photographers and found them in FTHP! I am VERY detail oriented and was quite tedious in my questions. Nina was gracious, patient, and kind throughout the entire process. I did a boudoir shoot two days before my wedding and my husband LOVED the photos. Our wedding photos were perfect. We had oodles to choose from and they captured all of the "must have" photos we requested plus countless more. Our friends and families love the photos as well. Our wedding album is in the works and I have no doubt that it, too, will be wonderful. I highly recommend From the Hip Photo for ANY type of event that needs to be photographed.

They are excellent. The package included the engagement shoot, the boudoir shoot, 2 photographers for 8 hours on the wedding day, a photo booth, 2 rounds of editing, $100 print credit, and probably more things I can't think of at the moment! They provide a lot at an amazing quality.

Danny and Nina took photographs both at our wedding and reception, and there are few words to express how pleased we are with his level of service and the results. To start with, Danny and Nina have been punctual, polite, and downright effervescent during the entire process. I cannot begin to explain how important that fact is when the stress of a wedding descends. Simply being able to rely on his energy levels and knowledge during the events was a godsend. Furthermore, Danny and Nina (and the whole From the Hip team, including Katie and Kristin) have maintained excellent communication with us during the entire lead-up to the process, addressing not only our concerns but also adapting to our ever-changing schedule of events seamlessly. Lastly, THE PHOTOS ARE BEAUTIFUL. 'nuf said.

My husband and I could not have been more pleased with the work and product provided by the team at From the Hip Photography. They are friendly, down to earth, creative and incredibly talented in the world of photography. They also provide incredibly fair and competitive price structures. We received all of our images from our wedding within 6 weeks of our wedding date. It was incredibly difficult choosing which of the original photos for re-touching, as ALL of the images taken that day were incredible. But, it didn't matter because the team at From the Hip allows you to keep ALL of the images they take during your wedding. We certainly will be using their services for all of our photography needs in the future.

From the Hip photographed my wedding and did a phenomenal job. Jess was professional and got so many stunning shots, I couldn't believe it. She and her co-photographer were amazing at catching everyone in just the right moment making people look great...definitely hard to do! The two were also very unobtrusive, many people barely noticed they were there. They got all the images I had wanted and were very affordable for their quality of work. The owners/photographers are also gracious and just all-around great people. I would highly recommend From the Hip!

I love these guys. Danny and Nina captured so many moments from our wedding day that were truly precious. I cherish the memories from my wedding day, but as most brides will tell you, it goes by in a flash. I cannot stress enough how important it is to have an amazing photographer (or two!) to make sure you are able to relive those memories for years to come. I literally welled up with tears when I was able to see the special moments that were captured. From the Hip went above and beyond to make sure we got everything we wanted out of our wedding photos. We had a lot of obstacles on our wedding day from running really late, to bad weather, and everything in between. Danny & Nina's cool, composed attitude, and go with the flow nature were SO helpful in making sure we got every shot we wanted amidst all the stress and chaos of the day. Funny side note- I ended up not having a ride from the hotel to the wedding venue at the last second, and these guys were there to actually drive me to the venue! Nina even got a gorgeous shot of me from the car that ended up being one of my favorite photos of the day. My husband and I are now expecting our first child, and when I think of maternity pictures, and family photos for years to come, I can't think of anyone else I would want to share our family's moments with than FTH.

We had the pleasure of working with the wonderful and talented folks of From the Hip for our wedding. From the moment we met Danny, his warm and welcoming personality confirmed that we would be in good hands! Prior to the wedding, the collaboration and flawless communication allowed us to all be on the same page when establishing a "vision" for the images and photography style that we wanted to bring to life. On the day of the wedding, both Danny and Jess were awesome. We had videographers as well and they all worked in tandem so beautifully, helping us to capture our big day in such a graceful manner. Post wedding, we received our picture "proofs" only a few weeks later which was amazing! Nina was an absolute joy to work with as we chose our final selections and came up with editing styles / requests. Again, flawless communication and always willing to go the extra mile for us! We are in the final editing stages and as much as I can't wait to receive our images and custom book, I'll certainly be sad to say goodbye!!! I cannot even begin to truly put into word how much I love Nina and Danny and FTH. From the moment my (now) husband and I met Danny, we knew we wanted to hire them. We first met Nina when she took our engagement photos. Not only did she have great vision, but she was fun to be around and managed to keep our kids involved and interested. By the time we saw her again on our wedding day, it was like an old friends was there to take our photos. And she did an amazing job. Our oldest called her a "ninja" - she seemed to be everywhere all at once, but also managed to be unseen. And, most importantly, we love our photos. More than I can even describe. We would recommend From the Hip Photo to anyone! They did our wedding in July in Estes Park and they did an absolutely phenomenal job! They were very communicative before our wedding to see what we wanted and Danny and Jess were so calm and pleasant during our wedding. It was so nice working with them. Also, Nina did a great job doing all the behind the scenes work on our photos. Within the first two weeks of our wedding, they shared a "sneak peak" of our wedding photos and they shared the rest of them shortly after this. We were thrilled with the quality of our photos and how fast we received our photos. Danny even gave us Voodoo Doughnuts when we met with him to view our photos. Our guests raved about the quality of the photos. It is so nice to be able to relive our wedding through the spectacular photos that they took. Overall, everyone at From the Hip is so nice and passionate for the work that they do. They are so pleasant to work with and the quality of their work is absolutely phenomenal. Nina and Danny were wonderful at my wedding. The process leading up to the wedding was seamless and they were great at explaining everything to my husband and I. During the wedding, they were super attentive and professional. They were up for anything! The photo booth at the reception was a big hit and Danny was awesome with the guests who used the photo booth. I received access to my photo gallery within two weeks of my wedding! And now I have to choose what images I want retouched. All of the photos are beautiful, so it is really hard to choose!

We decided to go with From the Hip because they already had great reviews and awards in the Denver area. We made a GOOD decision! They were straightforward and fun from the first time we met them. We really wanted a laid back feel to our wedding, and don't like to do too much posing for photos, and they accommodated every idea we had. The preview, the photo booth and the proofs were already able to be viewed 2 weeks after the wedding. In the end we get to pick which photos we want to be re-touched AND we get to possess every single photo taken at our wedding, no watermarks or logos. That is becoming a pretty rare service among wedding photographers! We have friends who have waited months and months, and had to practically fight for the photos they wanted, didn't get to choose their favorites, etc. So they are worth every penny not only for that, but for their creative skills. We have some photos that are simply jaw dropping. Couldn't speak highly enough of Danny and Nina! : )

Love, love, love. From the Hip Photo is an amazing team made up of the husband and wife duo, Danny and Nina. They photographed our engagement shoot as well as our wedding and they were amazing. Nina We mainly worked with Nina throughout this process and she was more than great, she was and is incredible. Yes, they are pricey, but when it comes to capturing the details of a once-in-a-lifetime day, you want a team like FTH to be there. The are extremely professional yet cool and flexible with how you can devy up your photography time. We had a two day wedding and we were able to split up the 8 hour photography allotment into two days, truly great service. We received our images from the wedding a few days ago and they are GORGEOUS! I'm so happy with our decision to go with FTH. Thank you Nina.

We decided to splurge on a photographer since for us, photos are tangible memories. Danny and his crew were great. He really understood that our wedding was not like others and we appreciated that. We had two photographers and they were very professional. They try to fulfill all your requests and they have some of their own to add in. I'm very pleased with our choice.

The value of their packages are just a bonus to the wonderful servie and quality of work that they provide. They were so much fun to work with on the day of, but were extremely helpful throughout our entire wedding planning process. I stressed for so long about finding a wedding photographer that I wanted. I knew that, to me, our wedding photographs were the most important thing other than the ceremony itself. Nina and Jeremy shot for our wedding, and did a first rate job of it! Our photographs were even more beautiful than what we expected from their website! We loved their candid way of taking pictures-when we look at our photos now, it really reminds us of what our wedding day felt like. They did an excellent job of catching the emotion of the day. (Although they didn't focus on the posed pictures, which everyone appreciated, the few posed shots that they did were also excellent.) We also really appreciated how upfront they were about their pricing, and that we get a disc of all of our images with FULL RIGHTS to them. That means that, if we want to make a scrapbook with our wedding pictures in it ten years down the line, we don't have to worry about contacting our photographer to get permission to reprint the images or get a watermark removed. When we were working on making the plans for the wedding and signing our contract, they were always quick to respond to our emails and phone calls. We are so glad we pick From the Hip!

In a world of a million wedding vendors and options, these guys not only do it right, they do it with fun and flair. Photography was the most important vendor on my wedding day, and From The Hip delivered. I got so many compliments on their work from guests and our wedding party. And we haven't even seen the final finished product yet!

Everything about From the Hip Photo has been amazing from start to finish. Danny and Nina are so nice and easy to work with. They are creative and take beautiful photographs. They are unobtrusive while documenting your day - people didn't even realize they were there. We purchased their biggest package, which was more than I planned on spending, but the value was totally worth it. It included engagement photos (15 retouched); 8 hours of wedding photography with two photographers (150 retouched); a photo booth; a photo book; an additional shoot with 15 retouched photos (could be a shoot for trash the dress, pregnancy, baby, family, etc.); and all of the digital images. I didn't want the additional shoot, so they applied the value to an upgrade of the wedding book. We received over 300 engagement images, over 1900 wedding images, and over 400 photo booth images. Nina even brought a third photographer for no additional cost because we had about 270 people at the wedding. I cannot recommend From the Hip highly enough. They are amazing!

If I could give From the Hip 10 stars, I would. However, I am a little biased as the owners are not just my photographers, but my friends. Truth be told, I knew I wanted Nina to shoot my wedding long before I planned it. If you want candid, fun, and absolutely stunning wedding photos, From the Hip is a vendor you need to check out. They're located in Denver, so if you're local, then you especially want to check them out! Nina captured the feeling of the day and of us perfectly. Our pictures are amazing!

I met Nina and Danny at a bridal show about a year before my wedding. They are a husband/wife team who are both not only extremely professional, but very welcoming and kind. They answered an array of questions throughout our planning process and Nina saved the day when our wedding planner came up short on the actual day. The marriage license was supposed to be on the unity candle table for the ceremony and it wasnt....so Nina discreetly suggested incorporating it into our cake cutting! Genuis. It all went very smoothly and our photos came out very lovely. Would definitely recommend~!
