Everyone was very accommodating and helpful, and they were very prompt with delivery and pick-up. We had a great experience with GJ's!
I have nothing but great things to say about G.J.'s rentals. From the moment I booked, Jen was very responsive and quick to get back to me. She helped guide us with tent sizing and add ons, gave us pricing estimates, and helped us switch around what we wanted up until the week before our wedding. In addition, our guest count went down as the date got closer and we were told about a smaller tent for cheaper. Most places would keep that to themselves in order to pocket the extra money. They are a very great company, reliable, and have wonderful communication services! I would certainly utilize them again.
If you are looking for a rental company for your wedding, I highly recommend hiring GJ’s Rentals! They have everything you could want for your wedding – tents, lighting, dance floors, tables, chairs, glassware, silverware, linens and so much more! We rented a dance floor and banquet tables from GJ’s for our wedding at Aurora Cellars on 8-1-2020. Our experience with GJ’s was great! The whole process was super easy and they have very reasonable prices! They were able to deliver and assemble the dance floor and tables for us the day before our wedding and then disassemble and pick up them up the day after our wedding.
We were over charged for a service that wasn’t provided. We reached out for our money back and the check was cashed without response. Terrible service and communication.
I truly hate to leave negative reviews, but would be doing future brides a disservice by not sharing my experience. Save yourself a headache and book another vendor. Once they cash the check, they stop responding, even if the services contractually agreed to were not provided.
1. The set-up team does not set-up tables, chairs or pole drapes - GJs will only tell you they don't set-up chairs... the rest is a surprise!
2. Those pole drapes that we were not told until the day of that we had to set-up, my planner and her assistant tried, none of us were able to figure these out so they were returned all in the boxes they came in (with the exception of the one we tried to set-up) and GJs refused to offer a refund, saying that they were all returned used which is a flat out lie (essentially conning us out of almost $800)! We have pictures to prove it!
3. Two weeks before my wedding I was contacted by GJs to say I didn't have enough lights booked (I was only ever taking their recommendations on this, so they didn't book me the appropriate lights up front) and that I needed to double, so I agreed. The set-up team came and thought I was crazy for having so many lights and cut it back down to half. The set-up crew then asked me how I wanted them set-up when all along I was being sent diagrams by GJs and just agreeing.
4. We changed to the largest size dance floor last minute and still felt that it was a little small. When it was set-up it was gross. We had to get the set-up crew a mop to clean it off, which they had no plans of doing. There was grass sticking up between all of the dance floor pieces also, not very professional.
My wedding planner was going to use them for another event and quickly decided not to after seeing how difficult and disappointing the set-up process was.
GJ's has been the largest and most successful rental company for a reason, they are easy to work with, super helpful the day of your wedding and AFFORDABLE. If you are planning to have an entirely outdoor venue (especially during COVID) rentals will add up quickly. I dropped the ball and didnt secure a tent until 6-8 mo prior to my wedding but they were able to hook me up with a gorgeous tent, draping, wood fold out chairs and farm tables for 180 people. You will see some companies having inconsistent reviews/experiences, but GJ's is not one of them. They are consistent and reliable. What you see is what you get and that is HUGE for such an important, logistical part of your wedding.
We rented a tent for our wedding from GJ’s and they were so easy to work with! I know nothing about tents and what I would need for our day. They helped me with everything and provided quick and easy service. I never felt pressured into anything. When they arrived for delivery, they did a great job setting up the tent. They even surprised us by using the concrete anchors instead of the 55 gallon water barrels so they were less noticeable to our guests. So glad we chose to use GJ’s Rentals!
I can’t say enough good things about our experience with GJ’s in planning and implementing my daughter’s wedding. Their customer service and willingness to adapt to our changing needs was great. The set up and pick up of tents,tables, chairs, glassware for 150 was very smooth and efficient. Every worker was polite and professional. Thank you Nicky and Linda for the guidance in planning.
GJ's Rental was great; they were very accommodating. The linens, glassware, plates, etc. were perfect.
I was perfectly happy with the chairs and tablecloths I rented for me wedding. Staff were professional and delivery and pickup were as scheduled. Our site was down a hill, and even though we did not pay any extra delivery fee for the distance they were kind enough to bring them all down for us at no extra charge.
We contracted with GJ's Rental for 57 wedding chairs for our daughters beach wedding in Frankfort on June 17th, 2017. We agreed on a 2:00pm delivery time. Which was in the contract? I got a call on that Wednesday before the wedding telling me the delivery was going to be before 12:00. I reintegrated our contract time of 2:00pm. The woman wasn’t happy to stay with that time. She said she would call me back on this. She did call back and said they would be there at 2:00. The day of the wedding at 11:20, we just arrived at the Hotel to decorate. I got a call from the delivery guys telling us they were at the beach to deliver. I said "NO". You are not to be here this early. He said to me and I quote..."excuse me for being good at job". He was nasty and very unprofessional. We had words about the contracted time. Then he said "do you want to the chairs or not"? Needless to say, we left the hotel and ran to the beach. We didn't have the seating paperwork with us yet. So we quickly made up one to give them. I paid extra to have GJ set up and take down the chairs. When we arrived back at the beach later, they didn't even try to set them as we asked. We had to redo them all. I called on Monday and left a message for the owner (I was told he was at lunch) to discuss how his employees were representing his company. As I write this review on Wed. -no return call yet. Must be some long.... lunch. I will say we were happy with the quality of chairs. There are not many other options in this area for rental needs. But if you can find one, keep this review in mind. They were great!!!! We had ordered chairs for our wedding ceremony and added a table on at the last minute. They were easy to work with, timely, and the pricing was great. I was very happy with the service and rentals :)
We ordered glasses and chairs from GJ's. They couldn't really help with recommendations on how much to order for our number of guests which was disappointing. Other than that, we had no issues! They delivered everything right on time and brought it all inside for us. We didn't even have to worry about pick up - they worked with our venue to come the next day. The delivery crew was super nice and accommodating.
We used this company for our outdoor wedding. Lynda, particularly was amazing! I contacted them many times over the 6 months leading up to my wedding and each time was such a pleasant experience. At one point, I called in a panic as the other rental company I had been going to use for our chiavari chair rental was backing out. Lynda was able to secure the chairs I needed and calmed my nerves in a single 5 minute phone call. They were willing to deliver the rentals 3 days prior, allowing us to set up and make sure the reception area was perfect. We could not have been happier with the service and the quality!!
I rented chairs and a wedding arch from GJ's. Although we had a little trouble nailing down a delivery time, everything else was great. They cleaned all the chairs on the spot to make sure they were ready for guests, and put together the very pretty arch. They came a few days later and packed everything up, which was a huge help!
