I really appreciated working with Gabrella Manor. The venue was beautiful, the owners and staff were very accommodating, and I was never nervous that they were going to drop the ball on any of our details. Brenda and Brittany were excellent supports, very communicative, and made everything really easy for me, which is exactly what I needed from them. I would definitely recommend getting married here.
Gabrella Manor was the perfect wedding venue for my now husband and I! We can’t stop replaying the day over and over in our heads. Brenda and her team made the whole process so easy from start to finish. Their pricing is reasonable and you get a lot for your money. It is a full service venue so you don’t have to worry about a thing. You work with a planner, a designer, and will have a day-of coordinator. They will truly bring your vision to life with no hassle. We had several in-person meetings and countless email threads. Never once did we feel unheard or bothersome. The venue itself is gorgeous!!! It doesn’t need much decor, but they do take care of all the decorating for you. They have their own caterer, Happy Catering, who is also great and you don’t have to worry about guests not loving your food! The venue also provides all your florals, including bouquets and boutonnières. They will recommend a DJ for you, and have great connections with any other vendors you may need. One of the perks is that most of the vendors will be managed by Gabrella so most things will be on one easy invoice for one easy payment. Another perk of them taking care of all your vendors, is you don’t have to coordinate them all! They will take care of it all for you! Your day-of coordinator will ensure your whole day runs smoothly. We had Brittany and she was the best! She was so gracious and kind. She kept everything running seamlessly. She had everything totally under control and left me so relaxed and confident throughout the night. I seriously can’t get over how beautiful this venue is and how easy they made everything! Our one concern when booking was potential noise because it it right next to the highway. Don’t let this deter you from booking. You will not hear the traffic during the ceremony or reception! No one even noticed.
Included in this gorgeous venue is charming historic character, his and hers suites for getting ready, a gorgeous courtyard, and a dance floor that is sure to get your guests out of their seats. We cant thank Brenda, Brittany, and her staff enough. We had the best day with a no-stress planning process! Our family and friends continue to comment on this perfect wedding venue!
You will be sure to love it here!
The venue its self is beautiful, except for the lawn clippings that weren't picked up and got suck all over my dress while trying to take pictures. They are seriously lacking in communication and will promise you things that are not available. 3 days before my wedding I was told I could not have the Linens that I was told I could have. Now I understand that doesn't seem like a big deal but when you planned your whole wedding around very dark linens and then white accents it's a huge blow. I was also told by the owner of the venue that I was going to make everyone upset and ruin my wedding (because I was upset we had to use white linens. and then spray paint all my table numbers and Mr & Mrs sign). The beautiful venue is not worth the lack of communication and attitude of the owner.
They were fantastic to work with and the wedding was absolutely beautiful. Everyone who attended has given nothing but the upmost praise. They truly gave me the wedding of my dreams.
This venue is very inclusive, as in you use their caterer, florist, decorator and they offer other services if your interested. It can get pretty pricey if you're not careful but Brenda and Lori are very helpful and our wedding day was beautiful!
The lady who was my wedding planner the day of my wedding was a nightmare. She never talked with me. No one knew where they needed to be at 10 minutes before the wedding started because during the rehearsal on Friday evening, we did not practice coming from the manor; we only practiced under the arbor; and honestly the rehearsal was kind of all over the place as well. Then the wedding day, what was discussed during the rehearsal for the receiving line, etc was not where we were instructed to go on wedding day which caused a lot of confusion and chaos. It is in the contract as a line item of where the photobooth was supposed to be located, but that was not in the correct location. I also wanted the sign-in table at the front where when people got out of their cars it was right there; and my sign in table was tucked away where a lot of guests said they didn't even see it and a lot of the fans went to waste. The venue claims it was because there was a chance of rain, but there was no rain the whole afternoon and they did not ask me about this so I feel like they shouldnt have made that decision on their own.. and they have a tent so it's just BS. They shouldn't say that the venue price includes a wedding director.
I am 100% infuriated about the food situation. First of all, it was delicious, but they fed their staff with the food I paid for! Completely unacceptable. My brother never was able to even fix himself one plate to eat because he was taking pictures and helping with my niece and nephew and when he finally had time to go grab his meal, it was all put up. I had guests who said they enjoyed their first plate of food and then when they went to get seconds, it was roped off and put away. My husband and I weren't really able to eat anything during our private dining because the food was all cold; so when I wanted more later on, it frustrated me that the food was gone.
Also, the man bartender was a nightmare. He looked rude, was rude, and his behavior was completely unacceptable. I did receive praise about the lady bartender and that she was awesome. After hearing all the complaints from my guests, I wish she would have served the entire time.
The sound system during my wedding was so bad. It was also hard for people to hear us during the unity cross. Really clueless on why you pay $5,000 for the venue when they do not maintain a good sound system or provide anything for that really besides the venue location.
The "wedding director" was not helpful, even afterwards they were taking away my bridesmaids flowers when they needed them for the pictures under the arbor and with my extended family, which is on the contract that there will be more pictures after the ceremony.
There also wasn't as many tables out in the reception as was discussed! When we sat down and discussed the reception they said that there would be 15 tables, which is also what is listed in the original pricing guidelines that states the 15 tables are included for the base price.
The venue was beautiful. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful location and all of the decorations that my parents made for me really brought my vision to life. I just wish they would have delivered on their promises with the wedding director and event planning team, and wouldn’t have taken away the food before at least 930PM. Wedding ceremony started at 7, reception started at 730, so food should never have been served to their workers instead of my guest.
I did my ceremony and reception at Gabrella Manor, and Brenda and Lori made the wedding planning process a breeze. They helped me stay within my budget, while still making the wedding absolutely beautiful. The fact that the venue takes care of so much (food, decor, flowers) meant I had a lot less on my plate, for which I was immensely grateful. The florist they use is INCREDIBLE. Plus the food was delicious. I only took off one star because the guy running the sound/music for the ceremony (who was not their usual guy) did not have the music loud enough, nor did he start some of the songs at the right time (it seems our rehearsal should have included the music). But otherwise, the venue was fantastic.
Ok, so I have not had a wedding here . I'm actually venue shopping and fell in love with two places . Gabrelle Manor and Matthews Manor . My fiancé and i have had a lot of venues book our dates because it is first come first serve and we still had quite a few venues to see wash day for almost a month now . We finally said we are going to decide between our two favorites . Of course budget is a big thing Matthews Manor gave me a quote very quickly and the owner was super friendly I then called Gabrelle Manor and left a voicemail this was Saturday then Monday I sent an email and not until later that day when I got an email back did I find out they weren't open until Tuesday . Well I had someone from the Knot app contact me about speaking to them . She said I could call them to give them more info so I waited until they opened today and called . Since my fiancé and I are making our decision this week I was finally going to be able to see which venue I should go with . The owner answered the phone call she said she would have to transfer me to heather so I can get a quote . The owner Brenda just put the phone down. And I heard her say that it's Julia the one that is dying for a quote she's called and emailed so much . I honestly didn't think I was bothering and that's how I felt like I was bothering her I was mad at first and it just hurt me I'm excited about my wedding I want to book a day before someone comes in and books it that day and we get shut out again . All I needed was a quote and I am offended by what the owner said so rudely . I honestly think it is such a lovely place and heather was sweet when I met her and sweet on the phone maybe Brenda is having a bad day but still if she can't handle a bride trying to get the info she needs asap and I wasn't even rude or anything maybe she shouldn't be running to place . It sucked hearing what she said cuz im not dying for a quote or anything I'm simply just trying to make my dream wedding come true .
Gabrella manor is breathtakingly beautiful. The staff is friendly, excellent, and helpful. The food was delicious, and the details were perfect.
Gabrella Manor was a lovely location; the instant my husband and I visited we both looked at each other and said "sign me up!" Gorgeous place. The staff was also wonderful to work with! Brenda and Lori were so prompt with their communication and easy to talk to. The planning process was also very smooth- they handle almost everything there! My wedding day was- dare I say it- perfect.
A few small critiques: when you book with Gabrella, you don't get the entire day. You get a time slot. I wish I had been able to just book the manor for the whole day (like other venues I heard about) you can add additional hours, but that gets expensive fast.
There were a few strange charges on the final bill (having to pay shipping for curtains we didn't get to keep) but I guess that is to be expected with any venue.
That said, Gabrella does it all! Catering, Floral, officiant, photography (optional) It was so nice to have one place take care of four major vendors! Loved it, would not have done a thing differently.
Amazing venue and team! We loved our wedding at Gabrella Manor. They made the process so easy and everything exceeded our expectations. We can't say enough good things about Gabrella and everyone there, we've received so many compliments on the wedding and we owe it all to them. Having an all inclusive wedding venue like Gabrella makes planning a breeze, and the gorgeous venue is second to none. You won't be disappointed!
The ladies at Gabrella Manor are A M A Z I N G! I absolutely loved working with them.
amazing..
they were incredibly patient and helpful. answered every question and made my day absolutely perfect. the venue is so breath taking you really dont need any serious decor...it's worth every penny.
The first of the year open house impressed everyone & the discount for booking during the open house event was the first step to the dream wedding at Gabrella Manor, Birmingham, Alabama. The first fall-like evening in September in the South, a gentle breeze, candlelit and organza lined aisles leading to the natural arbor at dusk, & violin music made for a fairytale wedding setting that guests described as "magical." Afterwards, wedding party & 240+ guests enjoyed dinner & dancing with elegant table settings, lush floral arrangements designed exactly as the bride & her mother wished, & a gourmet menu (fruits/cheese, hot spinach dip & breads, green salad, potato bar, roasted veggies, pork tenderloin, crab cakes & chicken tenders) fit for a king & all provided by the venue vendors to perfection. The wedding cake, as displayed and seen through an oval picture framed window looking out onto the courtyard of the manor, invited guests in to enjoy the "sweetness" of the event. The stained glass throughout the manor, the pretty tiles and fixtures here & there, & a bridal suite fit for any princess bride perched at the top of an antebellum staircase, added to the feel of a wedding in a mini-Biltmore, without a Vanderbilt price tag. The wedding planner & director were friendly, but professional, handled every detail timely, leaving nothing for the client/wedding party to do except soak in every moment of the event. From arrival to departure, every need was met, every wish granted. A request would be made for a last minute change or addition here or there & the reply was "we can make that happen" & they did! There is easy access from I-59 for guests to locate the venue. Security & complete valet parking was provided as part of the plan making guests feel safe and at ease to enjoy themselves. The venue's suggested photographer made the usually stressful time of photos an enjoyable part of the day, and the couple expects to have glorious memories recorded through the photographer's expert eyes and work. From start to finish, Gabrella exceeded our expectations in every category.
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Gabrella Manor. We don't live in Birmingham so we needed a lot of help and Gabrella Manor was great in providing all of our vendors for us and they were all great. They did the catering, drinks, band, ceremony music, flowers, cakes, invitations, etc for us so we really only had to get our hair and make up done and show up. It was great. During the planning phase we only had one issue of concerning (they do not permit any drinks prior to the reception) which my fiance was unhappy about but that ended up being fine. I really enjoyed the entire experience and was so grateful for all their help. Everyone at the wedding said they loved it and we had a blast. The biggest help for me was that I only got one invoice for all the services and vendors so I knew exactly how much I was going to be spending which was fantastic.
Gabrella Manor made the whole experience so easy! I've heard that creating the wedding of your dreams can be stressful, but not with Gabrella! They handled everything for us...flowers, invitations, food, photography ...everything! They even made my mom (who was paying) feel at ease as well! I would recommend them to anyone!!!
everything was wonderful as planned
Having my wedding at Gabrella wedding was one of the best decisions I have ever made. They made everything perfect. The handled all of the details the day of so I had nothing to worry about. The venue looked beautiful. The food and flowers were amazing. All of my guest loved the wedding and had a great time!
Gabrella is a wonderful place to celebrate your big day. The overall look is sure to amaze your guests. They truly handle EVERYTHING from flowers & decor to cakes to food, you name it. They do a fantastic job with decorating & all by your guide. They have a few picky rules, but otherwise we were very pleased!
My wedding day is a day I have dreamed about all of my life. From the first time I laid eyes on Gabrella Manor, met the owners and staff I knew this was the perfect place for me. From day 1 everyone was wonderful and more than willing to help. After many planning sessions my wedding day finally arrived and it was better than I ever imagined. It was absolutely perfect. If you are looking for a venue to do it all this is the place...it's like a Sandals Resort wedding venue. They can do everything and you just simply show up. Planning a wedding with Gabrella Manor is basically stress free, sit back, relax, enjoy the ride, and sign the checks! :)
Happy planning.
Staff was wonderful and enthusiastic about service. Was able to give me valuable advice and suggestions for flowers/meals/etc. Beautiful venue that can satisfy any request! I wish I could have another wedding there!
Would surely use them again!!
the place is absolutely beautiful, had an outside wedding and home served as perfect backdrop
I picked Gabrella Manor for my wedding venue because I could have both the ceremony and reception there, the main wedding are was outdoors, and the house and property were absolutely beautiful. The staff was helpful and accommodating. Gabrella Manor requires that you use their florist, caterer, cake baker, and bar service if you book the property. While this might seem limiting to someone who wanted more freedom to drown in details, it was perfect for me. They have an on site wedding planner who won't let you mess up anything major through your own negligence. You pick all the details of the wedding so its very customizable and then they fuss over all the nitpicky stuff to make sure it all works out. They way they did things was great for me because I was never that girl that fantasized (or even thought about) my wedding day, so I had no idea what I wanted. They showed me options, walked me through all kinds of stuff I'd never considered, and it all went really well. I got SO many comments about how beautiful, unique, and fun our wedding was. It's well worth what you pay for, and they have more economical options than what I chose. The food and cake were excellent, and the venue cheerfully and creatively accommodated my wish for vegan options at the reception and cupcakes and miniature pies instead of traditional bride and groom cakes. I have absolutely no complaints, and my one criticism is that sometimes its hard to get someone one the phone but they do return calls when you leave a message.
