Gamberdella’s staff was amazing in helping me, my mother, and bridesmaids find and alter their dresses. Theresa was such a big help in finding my dress, as well as my mother’s. Jen did an amazing job with alterations, so that we all felt our best on wedding day. They were always happy to answer any questions and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy.

I can’t say enough good things about Gamberdella. Mary and Clare made me feel so special and helped me to find the perfect dress for me. I loved dressing up as a fairy princess as a little girl, so they helped me to find the perfect dress to fit my dreams. They helped me to remove the sleeves in order for it to be exactly what I wanted. They found me the perfect accessories and the most gorgeous veil. I never felt pressured and they truly listened to what my hopes were for my big day and made it a reality. They also altered my dress to perfection. I felt the most beautiful I’ve ever felt in my dress. They also helped my bridesmaids to find the dresses that they looked and felt the most beautiful in. This was especially impressive since I had so many! I am forever thankful to Gamberdella for making my day so special.

Mary and her team were so wonderful to work with from day one of picking out my dress, to walking out the door with the final product just before the wedding. They even helped me find a veil that matched perfectly with my dress. Everyone at Gamberdella was patient, knowledgeable, accommodating, and never tried to rush you out the door. If you’re looking for an enjoyable, laid back, but professional experience, this is the place to go!

Mary and her team are nothing short of amazing! During COVID, she set up virtual calls with me, sent me fabric swatches and made the entire experience amazing!! She helped me find my dream gold ball gown - the perfect dress for my day. She went above and beyond at every turn. I highly recommend working with Mary!!!!

I had the best experience at Gamberdella! They special ordered a dress that I wanted to try and it ended up being my dress! Clare and Mary helped me find my perfect dress and were so supportive and helpful. It was great to use their video chat feature as my family lives out of town. Gamberdella was super accommodating of my requests and appointments. I highly recommend Gamberdella to anyone wedding dress shopping in the DMV area. It was WELL worth the drive for me as I had bad experiences with multiple shops in DC. Their alterations were phenomenal and I thought very reasonably priced given the work done. My dress looked amazing and fit me perfectly for our big day.

Highly recommend Gamberdella! The team at Gamberdella (especially Mary, Clare, and Teresa) make you feel like family the moment you walk in. I went to several dress shops before visiting Gamberdella and was starting to feel frustrated that I couldn't find that one. Mary, Clare, Jen and the entire Gamberdella team is absolutely amazing and accommodating! In April of 2019, my daughter found her dream dress at a salon in Denver, where she was living at the time. However, she soon thereafter moved back to the east coast. Gamberdella carried dresses by the designer but not the exact dress my daughter wanted. Mary Gamberdella had a sample of the dress shipped to her salon from the designer in NYC. We wound up ordering that dress from Gamberdella in May of 2019. My daughter’s first fitting was in February, 2020 for her June, 2020 wedding. Then Covid hit. Her wedding was then postponed 2 more times until she finally got married in May, 2021. Gamberdella kept her dress in safe keeping for over 1 year until my daughter could safely return for fittings. My daughter had several fittings and because she lives in Boston, she often needed fittings that were outside of Gamberdellas normal business hours. Nothing was ever too much trouble for Mary and her team! We have found a new set of friends! Thank you, thank you to Mary and her team for such a professional, positive and fun experience! Gamberdella played a huge part in making my daughter’s wedding soo magical and beautiful!

My experience here was pretty nice. Would have rated it a 5-star if it hadn’t been for this one specific older woman with short, grayish blonde hair who always greeted me and my mom at the door as if we were intruders come to rob her at her home. She literally would open the door and peep her head around the door asking us “May I help youuuuu?” Each and every time we came for at our appointment time. Mary and the youngest lady there (I can’t recall her name) were super nice! Also, the seamstresses were the best ever! The adjustments they made to my dress (especially the bustling) were incredible! My dress fit like a dream and everyone loved it and said they never had seen anything like it! Thanks for everything!

This store is incredible! They have so much experience in the wedding world. My veil was a showstopper. I never would have considered or found it if it wasn't for Mary and Clare's help! My bridesmaids got their dresses from here. Most live out of town, but Mary was able to give advice on which size to order based on measurements and her experience with the material. They were very impressed with their service. I especially appreciated the patience, experience, and advice that they offered. Not to mention the beautiful store! It is recently renovated and elevates the experience. I was even able to do a video chat with my sister/MOH who lives in Florida on a TV! It really helped her to feel a part of the process.

Mary was amazing to work with! The entire staff at Gamberdella was very accommodating! My dress was exactly what I imagined it to be.

The ladies at Gamberdella were so great! I went back twice to try on dresses and they were extremely accommodating and picked the most beautiful dresses. All of the dresses are such amazing quality and the space is beautiful. Definitely the bridal experience that you want when trying on your dress. Alterations were quick and easy and I was able to pick my dress up pressed and ready to go three days before the wedding.

I tried on so many wedding dresses, but I just couldn't find "the one". I told Mary that I loved the body of one of the dresses I tried on, but I hated the skirt and couldn't see myself wearing it on my wedding day. She immediately said she would contact the designer and see if we could pick out a new skirt to go with the body of the dress that I loved. The end result was better than anything I ever imagined. I was so worried about getting my dress in and not liking it since it was a custom piece that I never got to try on, but it was perfect! I am so thankful that Mary gave me this option, she works so hard to make sure her brides are happy.

I honestly didn’t have the best experience here. I went to try on wedding dresses- my 3rd shop I’d been to. I told them what I liked, and told them my budget. I felt that since my budget wasn’t too big, I felt a shift change in the attitude($1700 was our budget). They didn’t have dresses I or my mom + friends could pick from to try. They picked some out for me but none really wow’d me. I felt the staff wasn’t very interested in me or my wedding and didn’t make it seem personal or inviting. They didn’t really ask too many questions about me. They just handed me dresses to put on and didn’t seem enthusiastic at all. Felt very business like, rushed and not special. I was out within 30 minutes.

If I could leave zero stars I would. This salon was terrible. After having just left a salon that treated me, and my bridal party, like queens, this place left me in tears! I was anxious about trying on dresses and I’m sooo glad my day didn’t start with this salon. I was “greeted” if you could call it that, by the store owner. She asked me what I wanted, in a gruff tone. I told her I had an appointment. After finding my name, she argued with me about my wedding date. She had October, I told her three times it was November. Her final response: “whatever”. She then pushed me into a fitting room and told me to put on a robe. Before trying to get to know me, ask what I like, etc. I brushed it off and put on the robe. Only the robe didn’t close all of the way. I told her the robe didn’t feet (already feeling like crap about myself at this point) and she says “what do you mean?” Thank you lady. I feel so beautiful. She then came in and yanked a dress over me. I hated the dress. Everything about it. Since when are we not allowed to see a dress before we try it on? Since when can I Not even know your name before you see me naked? My bestfriend walked in at this point (she was down the road getting pizza... we had skipped lunch to come to this appointment but the pregnant one needed to eat!) my bestie was not greeted. When she asked for me a lady told her she didn’t know what she was talking about. She found us, saw the look on my face and immediately told everyone that we were done here. The high school girl that was working with us tried to be apologetic and accommodating, but the damage had been done. This was, by far, the worst experience of my wedding planning so far. K & B Bridals is down the road. They treated me like a queen. Recommend them a million times over.

Mary and her team are amazing. They stay on top of the latest bridal trends, while also honoring the timeless classics. Their newly remodeled salon looks incredible, and makes brides and their guests feel like they are receiving the royal treatment. As a wedding planner, I recommend all of my Baltimore-area brides to Gamberdella, knowing that they are in good hands.

Gamberdella was an absolutely amazing bridal salon. Everyone there was so kind and supportive! They made me feel comfortable and like I could really be honest about how I was feeling. They let me take my time and did not rush me which was so important. They have a great selection of dresses and even work with you to try to figure out ways to adjust and make it work for you. They brought out lace covers to try on over dresses and were open to all sorts of alterations. I can't recommend it highly enough!!

I had a specific dress in mind that they happened to have, Casablanca Bridal. I was set on my price point, no more than $1000 for the dress because you know how alterations are. And they helped make my dream come true! We added straps and a belt and my dress felt one of a kind. Thank you Gamberdella!

I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Gamberdella’s has a beautiful selection of dresses, the staff was so helpful, and the owner (Mary) made sure we had the best experience possible.

Reasonable prices and very accommodating

This was my first stop and definitely my last ! They were so kind and understanding ! They definitely put my nerves at ease! I met the owner while I was there and she was very nice! Being a younger bride I was very nervous and they were super accommodating and made me feel like I belonged. It was a very great experience! I'm so glad they are apart of my wedding process!

Mary Gamberdella knows dresses and she knows women. She brought a ball gown into the room and told me just to try it on. She had to tell me multiple times to try it on, but once she finally got me in it, it was the dress. Something I never even imagined I’d like or buy or wear. And it was stunning and unique. Make an appointment to see Mary, she gets it done and her staff is lovely too!

This is a difficult review to write. While this is the only bridal salon that brought in/offered to bring in my dream dress (that I did end up purchasing) that was one the only positives about my experience. My mom, aunts, and cousins had also gotten their dresses from here which is why I wanted to also. When it came to the initial consultation, it did not feel like the girl helping really understood what I wanted and because all the dresses they have are behind closed doors its even more difficult to show ideas unless you have pictures on your phone/printed out. Even after purchasing my dress the communication was not great. I emailed and left messages about getting a size change which I never got responses to, but thank god they did change without telling me they did because I was measured incorrectly and it would have been a size too large. It also fell on the bride to call to find out when/if their dress was in instead of being called. Having ordered it in July and hearing nothing until I had to call in April was highly nerve wracking. All of the alternations went smoothly, but I was lucky because it really only needed to be hemmed. One of my biggest complaint was having to stand at a locked door for up to 5 minutes for some of my appointments because no one sits at the front even when they have booked appointments and I am not sure if their doorbell actually works.

I stopped in to look at bridesmaid dress colors...I am letting my bridesmaids pick their own dresses, but wanted to provide a specific color and was having a really difficult time because there are so many different shades of wine. Mary helped me decide on a specific designer and color - she provided me with so many helpful tips! Although my wedding is in Georgia and my bridesmaids are all over the place so they were planning to purchase online, she still took time to work with me. One of my girls does live in Maryland so she will now be purchasing her dress at Gamberdella's! To top it off, she offered to help me out with my alterations even though they typically only do dresses purchased in their store. Mary went above and beyond and I definitely recommend others to check this place out :)

Unfortunately I didn't have a great shopping experience here, my worst experience to date. When I first arrived I was greeted by an older woman ( may have been the owner). She was warm and inviting sadly that was the only good thing about my time there. The consultant I was paired with was dry,chad no personality, and most importantly didn't really listen to me. I gave her a few options to work with as far as what I liked but after we discovered they didn't really have one of the looks I was looking for...she kept bringing in dress after dress that was the complete opposite of what I told her. In fact I described a dress I specifically didn't like an she brought in 3 of them! I mostly helped myself in and out the dresses. It wasn't enjoyable at all. I really wished my consultant listened to me more or at least pretended like she enjoyed her job.

I recently had an appointment at Gamberdella's to look at wedding gowns. I made the appointment well in advance (2+ months) for 3pm on a Saturday, our last stop in a day of shopping. We arrived on time for the appointment and were not greeted (I was with a party of 5). After 5 minutes of us standing there awkwardly, someone came over and looked at us (implied greeting, I suppose). 10 minutes later, the owner (presumably) let us know they were running late, ("getting close to a closing a sale") and would be with us shortly. They did not invite us to look at gowns or give us anything to do other than sit there. More than an hour later someone brought us back into the room to try on gowns. The shop was officially closed at this point, and the girl helping us (she didn't introduce herself throughout the hour we spent with her, or I would identify her here) did not seem pleased to be working overtime. She hardly said two words to us throughout the hour we were there, did not listen to any feedback from me or my group, and continued to bring out gown after gown with features we had previously said we weren't interested in. Overall, it was an extremely awkward and unpleasant trip, and I would have thought an establishment that is expecting me to shell out $1000+ on a dress would have a higher level of customer service.

Great salon, they had a good selection in my price range, and a ton of bridesmaid dresses as well. I worked with Claire and she was very helpful and considerate of my preferences.

Loved working with them! I found the most amazing and unique dress here. They worked around my busy schedule and it wasn’t wasn’t because I was coming from out of state. Would recommend them to any future bride.

I had a wonderful experience at Gamberdella's, they even added sleeves to my dress! Eve is a magical seamstress, we love her!!

GO TO GAMERBDELLA'S - Mary will find you the perfect dress! The first bridal shop I went to left me feeling discouraged as I felt they were making me trying on dress after dress that was not me. Luckily, I tried Gamberdella's next. I came in, Mary asked me a few questions, and she then came back with 3 dresses. The 2nd dress ended up being the one. My mom and I cried tears, it was so perfect for me. I received endless compliments about how perfect the dress was for me, and I have Mary to thank. She clearly has an eye, and knows how to pick out THE dress. Not to mention, she also gave me an idea for bridesmaids dresses that might fit my taste, and sure enough, I went with those and they were perfect too! Everyone else at the shop (the assistants, the seamstress) are always so nice and helpful too. You leave there feeling that they genuinely want you find the perfect dress and to be happy on your wedding day. You never get a feeling that they are just trying to make money off of you. I know where I will be bringing by daughter for wedding dress shopping. THANK YOU GAMBERDELLA'S!!

I had heard great things about Gambardella’s; however I had a subpar experience using their salon for my wedding dress. The administration that went into placing the order for my dress turned out to be very unprofessional and disorganized. Despite paying for my dress in full almost a year prior to my wedding date, the store forgot to place the order leaving little time for alternations and unethically leaving me no time to find an alternative option for alterations. I would not recommend Gambardella’s for your wedding gown experience. For the amount of money you are spending on this purchase you deserve more.

I worked with the owner, Mary, and she was the BEST! Not only was she patient (while I tired on dresses for 2.5 hours), she was supportive and assisted me as I narrowed down my dresses. I am very happy to say that I said yes to my dress at this location!

1st shop we went to. Was not welcomed when entered, actually was ignored even though had an appt and was 5 min early. They do not allow you to go through gowns, just stick u in a room and bring what they think you would like. My daughter told them she had no idea what style she liked but keeping an open mind. Told her no lace after 1st dress yet was brought 3 more lace dresses. Never even show a single tuill dress, yet that def was perfect for her, discovered that elsewhere. If you want to be made to feel special, put your eyes on dresses you might want to try, do NOT go here. Not even offered a bottle of water even though was sweating after the 5th dress.

While I did not end up buying my gown from Gamberdella, I had a great experience there and would definitely recommend it to others! We worked with Clare, who was so nice and did a great job listening to me and picking out dresses that matched what I was leaning towards. They also had the best selection of dresses in the lower end of my price range that I saw out of all the stores I visited. It also looked like they had some really nice bridesmaid dresses, so I would definitely send my wedding party back to check those out!

Gamberdella's was the 3rd dress store I went to, after I thought the dress I was looking for didn't exist. After they brought me a couple dresses that weren't quite right, one of the assistants brought me the absolute perfect dress for me - their selection was really exactly what I was looking for. Actually getting the dressed to the store proved to take much longer than originally anticipated, to the point where I was worried about getting all my fittings in, but since this is my only experience buying a wedding dress I'm not sure if that's normal, or on the dress designer and not the store. Despite my concerns, I did not have any problems with getting my fittings in, the seamstress did a fantastic job on the dress, and I absolutely loved the dress on my wedding day.

I drove from DC based on a friend's recommendation. It was worth the trip. I had the store to myself. It was very personal. It was a rough start, but the salesperson knew the exact dress I would love. She asked if we could stretch my budget slightly to see it, and she nailed it. It was perfect. The dress took three more months than they initially estimated which was frustrating. But it did come with plenty of time for alterations. My dress ended up being way too loose in the top halfway through the wedding plus the delayed delivery. That's the only reason I can't say 5 stars.

When I went in to look for my wedding gown the two women who assisted me were very nice. They did listen to what I described, brought out some very lovely dresses, and even offered to contact the designer to see if they could combine 2 dresses for me. They stated that they would call me back in a couple of days and let me know what the designer said. That was a month and a half ago. I never heard back from them again. Yes, I could have reached out to them after a week or two but I ended up finding a dress somewhere else when our venue fell through and we had to move up the wedding. I also felt somewhat rushed. After about the 4th dress the one woman kept saying 'oh we won't be able to top that!' and made it seem like it wasn't worth trying anymore dresses even though I wasn't exactly sold on the one that they apparently 'couldn't top.' Finally, I didn't like how they seem to have only one sample size (so if you have any sort of curves, it might not fit) which made it harder for me to imagine what the dress would like on me.

I was extremely disappointed in Gamberdella's. I went there in high school for my prom and had a great experience, but this is NOT the place to go for your wedding dress. The girl who helped me was very nice, but she was just out of high school and didn't know much about dresses or designers. Also, the attitude of the store was just apathetic. They couldn't have cared less if I bought a dress or not.

I used Gamberdella's to find my flower girl and bridesmaid dresses for my wedding and I couldn't have been happier. Mary and her staff are true professionals and made sure that my girls looked absolutely beautiful on my big day!

I have never had such a terrible experience. I would choose 0 stars if possible. My fellow bridesmaids and I were fat-shamed, told that they just don't make samples in our sizes (even 14!) when plenty of other salons accommodated us just fine, and treated very dismissively throughout the process. The owner ignored us while we tried the dresses on (no assistance or clips like at other salons). Then the dresses took twice as long as estimated to come in. I get that things happen, but when we called with our concerns they acted like we were major annoyances-- every time we called they would audibly sigh on the phone, like we were burdening them just by inquiring. I have never felt so insulted by a business owner in my life. I am happy to pay a lot of money for a gorgeous dress (and it was beautiful!!), but I expect civil treatment.

We had heard such great things about Gamberdella, that it was a must on our wedding dress search.Unfortunately, it was such a disappointment. I felt so uncomfortable, rushed, and not listened to. I was in and out within 15 minutes and I felt anxious the entire time (and I am not an anxious person). When I entered, while still standing in my coat, they asked what I wanted. Maybe I shouldn't have started with, "I have a dress to beat." They said 'We'll beat it!" and as I tell them what I was looking for, I felt like they weren't even listening. They ushered me into a room with my mom, sister, and grandmother and told me to put on a (previously used) robe. Then they brought in 5-6 dresses that were NOTHING like what I wanted. They asked me to step into a dress - surrounded by my family, so good thing I'm not shy. It was awful. I said it was a July wedding so I didn't want anything heavy. So they brought me in a bridesmaid dress that came in white and "would be perfect for the beach." The thing is - I'm not getting married on the beach. I'm just getting married in the summer. As they left to find more, I told my family I wanted to leave. I was uncomfortable and annoyed. Luckily, the staff came in to say they didn't have what I was looking for. Truer words were never spoken. I was so surprised by how impersonal the entire experience was. And on top of that, all the dresses looked 10 years old. I would not recommend. at all.

My overall experience was good. It took awhile to get the samples I asked for. The first wedding dress sample I got was wrong which made me worry. The bridesmaids dresses did not come in when they had said but that is probably more the designer then the store. One of the girls was rude to me over the phone. But other wise everyone was nice and helpful. My alterations were great as well!

My dress was fabulous! It was perfect for my style, personality, season. The price was reasonable and fit our budget! I received so many compliments on the gown. The staff at Gamberdella was amazing and very helpful. :)

Gamberdella is great if you don't mind spending a little more. There is a great selection but it is by appointment only and the seamstress is somewhat pushy about when she wants to fit you. Overall, the dress was gorgeous and the alterations were perfect.

The staff at Gamberdella's was extremely knowledgeable. They made me feel at ease and helped to find me my perfect dress! They added straps to the dress with no problem. The setting in their small Towson Bridal Salon was much more comfortable for me than a large warehouse setting would've been. I appreciated the privacy and quietness. Yet their prices and selection were unbeatable. Thanks, Gamberdella! Your dress made me feel so beautiful on my wedding day!

Let me just put it out there that I was not the girl who dreamed of my wedding dress.... on the contrary I had little idea of what I wanted to wear on my wedding day (other than it being white.) That's why I was so fortunate to be recommended to Gamberdella's Salon. They really worked with me to figure out not only what would make me look beautiful, but help me feel comfortable. They would bring out a couple of dresses and would really take the time to listen to what I liked and what I didn't like about the dress. They would then bring out other dresses that better suited my taste. They also didn't try to sell me the most expensive dress, but rather sold me the dress that made me feel beautiful... And I did feel absolutely beautiful in my dress. I did try other bridal salon's but came back to buy my dress at Gamberdellas. They made me feel completely comfortable and had the best selection of dresses. Their tailoring was amazing as well. The dress fit me perfectly

Staff very friendly, nice shop. Not able to browse racks myself, changing rooms do not include separate area for changing so your guests are watching you get in and out of dresses. Reasonable prices.

The best part of this salon is the seam stresses. My dress was beautiful the seam stress did a great job and was very nice. The other people were sub par. Numerous times I came in and had to stand in the waiting area because no one was around.

RUN!! Gamberdella's ruined my wedding dress. I purchased my wedding dress here and they ended up ordering the wrong size. We kept telling the owner and the seamstress that it was too big, however, they kept assuring us that they " dealt with this all the time" and that they would make it fit like a glove. After 10 plus fittings, they made one final alteration the night before my wedding and destroyed my wedding dress. It was so bad that the owner admitted it was not fixable and that I would have to wear a sample gown that they had. I didn't get to wear my own wedding dress on my wedding day and I will never get the opportunity to. They ended up having to clean the sample dress and fit it to me the morning of my wedding. They STILL altered it wrong and I ended up not being able to wear a corset under my dress leaving it gaping in the chest area in my wedding photos. Please don't risk you wedding day here - go somewhere else!

Gamberdella saved me after I had a wedding dress nightmare at another salon. They were able to help me find the perfect dress in one visit. Their alterations department is great and helped me right up until the week of my wedding. (note for budget planning: keep in mind that alterations can get pricey)

The entire experience at Gamberdella was fantastic. After going to several dress shops I was beginning to think I would have to settle for a dress. After I explained what I was looking for they brought me several dresses to try on. I knew before my dress was even over my head that it was the one. The staff is extremely personable, and friendly and made every experience enjoyable. The seamstress Eve is amazingly talented and added personal touches to my dress. Overall a fabulous experience.

After looking around for what seemed an eternity, I found The One at this bridal salon. The gown was exquisite, the staff was friendly and helpful (the store's reputation of being snobby is wholly unfounded) and the seamstress did an excellent job with the alterations. The only relatively negative point is the cost. I ended up paying close to $1,000 more than the original ticket price for two reasons: 1) I am a size 12 and this is considered to be on the heavy side in the bridal industry and so I had to pay $350 extra in materials (this is what I had dubbed "the fatty surcharge" and is, from what I understood, imposed by the dress maker, not by Gamberdella); and 2) the alterations were costly.

We had an amazing experience at Gamberdella's From the first appointment to the very last. Each and every person was a joy to work with. Sharon and Mary the owners were very laid back, which made the buying process a whole lot easier. And my daughter found the right dress. It looked gorgeous on her, Mary did an excellent job with sizing. I would totally recommend Gamberdella Bridal Salon..

The Gamberdella team is great! Let me say the grown I selected was out of my price range. The owner allow me to price the sample grown at a major discount! From the time I selected my dress to about two months before our wedding I paid 50 dollars out of every paycheck on my dress. That is how I got the nickname of the 50-dollar girl. I recommend every bride visits this store, I promise you will never want to leave!

My mother and I had one day together to pick a dress, and Gamberdella's managed to squeeze us in even with the relatively short notice. They made the dress picking experience fabulous. I tried on just about every type of dress, and ended up picking the perfect dress which was very different from what I thought I had wanted going in. The price of the dress was very reasonable and the customer service through out the process was fabulous. The tailoring ended up being pricier then I expected, but I do not think that it was over priced... I just required more then I had originally anticipated.
