Absolutely fell in love with this place. Not only was the location breathtaking but the staff was helpful through every step of our wedding. Not only did we get married here, but we continue to return as wine club members because of their fabulous food, wine, and staff. Thank you to everyone at Garre for making our wedding day so perfect!
This was a beautiful venue! The food was delicious and the staff were friendly. We had everything we ever wanted. It was a wonderful day.
Our wedding at Garre turned out to be a dream come true. Everything that we could’ve asked for was met and exceeded! Truly perfect for your dream winery wedding.
First off, the Bella Rosa interior is so naturally beautiful that very minimal decoration is needed. They have a great way to block off the dinner space during cocktail hour, giving you the intimacy you’d want during cocktail hour. Nice, long bar with multiple bartenders included!
There’s also a great outdoor patio space that’s decorated. Many of our guests filtered out into that space during cocktail hour and even though the grape’s hadn’t come in yet, the vineyards in the back offer such a good photo opportunity.
Chef Abe and his team developed such a great tasting menu. We had so many people come up and tell us how wonderful the food was. They have many choices for their passed hor d’oeuvres and a good variety for their plated dinners that everyone will be able to enjoy their meal.
Lastly, the MVP of the event was Lindsay, the event director and day-of coordinator. She is such an asset to have leading up to and during one of the most stressful days you can ever have. She answered every question we had, remembered every detail we forgot, and was super calm when everyone else scrambled to finish decorating.
We couldn’t be any happier to have had our wedding at Garre. 10/10, would recommend and would do it again.
Lindsay and all of the Bella Rosa staff were amazing, from the first tour to the day of!!! Being in the wedding industry, I did not know if I was going to be able to relax and actually enjoy being a bride during our wedding.
Lindsay effortlessly made me feel so relaxed all day, and I can honestly say it was the best day!! You can tell that Lindsay and the Bella Rosa staff are passionate about their clients and couples. No matter who I spoke to during the planning process/day of, each person was so welcoming and accommodating.
Thank you again Bella Rosa for making our wedding day amazing! :)
We just got married at the Bella Rosa venue at Garre Vineyard and Winery. We fell in love with the venue because it was exactly what we were looking. Bella Rosa has a beautiful outdoor ceremony site and amazing indoor reception area. We set our date in 2015 where we met our Onsite Coordinator, Lindsay Besser. Lindsay was helpful answering our questions throughout the year of wedding planning. I live in Southern California and was so grateful for her time, quick response and ideas for our big day. The day of our wedding Lindsay kept us on schedule, stress free, and made our night run smoothly. Thank you, Lindsay! The staff at Garre were so professional and the service was over the top. They were always one step ahead of us to make sure drinks were refilled, no lines at the bar, and that our buffet table was refreshed for the dinner hour. We are so thankful that we found Garre, it was perfect!
Kayla Rootz was amazing. From the time we booked the venue to the time of the wedding we had a few different people that we worked with. It was a little scary at first but once we were paired with Kayla it was smooth sailing. I emailed her every day leading up to the wedding and she was so accommodating and helpful. Kayla made sure everything went so smoothly on the day of the wedding. She was there helping to set up and I didn't have to worry about a thing. The best part was no one in my wedding party had to worry either. I was able to spend the day with my family and friends and not have them running around trying to get things organized. I would definitely recommend Kayla to anyone. The venue was so beautiful. As soon as I walked into the courtyard I knew it was the place I wanted to be married. The market lights cast a romantic glow and really set the stage for an amazing night.
They allowed us to have our own homemade dessert bar for our reception and customized they layout according to our specific needs for the outdoor, courtyard and indoor space!
My wedding was on October 19th and the weather was beautiful. It does get slightly windy in the evening but quickly dies down. The ambiance is exactly what my husband and I wanted if you are looking for the 'spanish feel' this place is a must!
My husband and I fell in love with the Martinelli Center upon entering it. It was the perfect venue for our wedding ceremony and reception....very "us"! We loved that we had the entire venue, inside and out, and we would be the only ones on-site. We looked at other venues, however, at these locales our wedding would be shared with wine tasters, restaurant patrons, golfers, etc.
We worked with Lindsay from planning through to the wedding. She was fabulous! As planning a wedding was new to me, as it is for most brides, I had a lot of questions, even about little details, and Lindsay was always prompt to respond and clarify things for me. She gave me the confidence to feel at ease that all would be taken care of with the quality I expected.
The day of our wedding couldn’t have gone better. There were some minor adjustments needed during the reception, but Lindsay worked with my friend/day-of-coordinator to figure out the best way to proceed. Lindsay didn’t bother me or my new husband with any questions or issues, which we were grateful for so we could enjoy time with our guests.
The food and wine/champagne/beer were wonderful! As the bride and groom, we didn’t have to go through the buffet line but were served which was a nice touch. I heard from guests the buffet was lovely and everyone thought the food was fabulous.
We just received our wedding photos and the venue looks absolutely gorgeous in the fall afternoon with changing leaves. Martinelli Center was more than we could have expected and a special thank you goes to Lindsay and all the staff who made our special day a success!
This venue provided mostly what we wanted, one convenient location where we had an outdoor ceremony on the lawn, cocktail hour in the patio where we had our photobooth and the bar, and an indoor reception. The venue was beautiful and allowed guests to get up and walk around. Staff was friendly just wished they left our food (Bridge & Groom) on the table as we went back an hour later to eat and it was gone. The food looked good, too bad we never touched our prime ribs.
I was happy with the overall experience with The Martinelli Center. The venue is beautiful, open, clean and private.
The only issues were the communication up until the wedding, a few glitches with food, and costs getting a bit out of control. Be sure to cover all expense topics (gratuities/taxes, etc.) again to be sure you are comfortable moving forward.
Our June wedding was at the Martinelli Event Center, and we are so happy that we chose to have our wedding here... it truly was a magical day. We had our ceremony outdoor on the lawn area, which overlooks the vineyards; cocktail hour was in their courtyard area; and the reception was in the reception hall. Martinelli's wedding coordinator, Lindsay, was with us every step of the way, and we are so thankful for her! Lindsay is extremely organized and helped keep us on track throughout the wedding planning process. She was also very responsive to our questions, and quickly responded to her emails, or let us know if she was out of the office and when she would return to respond. She was energetic and enthusiastic on our wedding day, and you can tell she really loves her job. She had everything running smoothly the day of, and helped keep us on schedule.
The food and wine were absolutely delicious, and we received many compliments from our guests on how tasty everything was. (We had a seated dinner with filet mignon, chicken marsala, and pasta primavera as the choices.)
My only minor complaint would be that the servers seemed to clear plates rather quickly; for example, they did not announce they were serving cake, so many of our guests who were out on the dance floor or out in the courtyard area did not get to have a slice because the servers cleared everything before they even knew it was there. Another small complaint would be that they served our food (bride/groom) while we were going around the guests' tables, so by the time that was all done, our food was cold and we didn't eat much of it.
the venue is very pretty and the our wedding planner was very accommodating, however the day of the wedding came with a few hiccups. we opted for the most expensive beer/wine package, which was supposed to be unlimited beer, wine & champagne. over the course of our planing process we asked numerous times, if they in fact meant that unlimited, was well unlimited (we have been to many wedding where guests were left with nothing to drink.)
after being reassured multiple times that we had nothing to worry about, we were very disappointed to find out that with over an hour left, there was no more beer, white wine or champagne and they stop serving what red wine they had left a half hour before the reception was scheduled to end.
in fact when i found a few moments in my evening to approach the bar for my first glass of wine, i was told that i couldn't have a glass. after pointing out that i was a) the bride b)it was a 1/2 hour before the reception ended and c) they had run out of every other option the gentleman in charge hesitantly provided me a glass. i was more than irritated.
just something to think about when opting for the unlimited option.
I am very happy with the way my wedding day went. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and the day ran smoothly thanks to Val. But the months up to the event were very frustrating. I met with one girl, fell in love with the site so I put down my deposit. We went to our tasting and the food was awful. I would never serve that food to guests at my home so I was very concerned to serve it to loved ones at my wedding. I has to set up another tasting because my concern was so great that I wasn't sure what I was going to do. The private tasting was very good,so I was happy, but still concerned that the chef wouldn't bring his A game. Cooking for 3 people is way different than cooking for 140 people.
After the tasting we set up an appointment with our coordinator to go over floor plan, menu, linens, etc. This was about 4 months out I believe. I am very organized, timelines, floor plans to scale, all contact info in spreadsheets, so I didn't need much assistance from Martinelli, I just needed them to approve that what I wanted was ok. My mother and I go to the meeting and our coordinator isn't there. Apparently, she had stopped working there. For about 2 months. Needless to say I was a little upset that no one had called or emailed to let me know. I don't live in Livermore so going out there isn't all that convenient. However, another coordinator met with us and took care of the appointment. From there on out it went pretty well, except for the fact that they did not tell us who our coordinator was going to be until about 3 days before the wedding. Val ended up being our coordinator and we met at the rehearsal the night before the wedding. She was very accommodating, and on the day of the wedding she made sure that everything went smoothly.
I heard that the food was great, but my bridesmaids were making me eat all day, so when dinner came I wasn't even hungry but my guests were happy.
My overall thoughts are that it matters what happens on that day, and Val was great. Martinelli is a great venue, but they don't really have the planning down. Execution is there, but only if you ride them. If you love the venue, I say book it! It is a good value, but you need to be organized, on top of your appointments, and ask lots of questions and don't let up until you have your answers or they may never get done, people may not show up, or your coordinator may no longer work there by the time your wedding comes around. But that is true for all wedding sites, not just Martinelli. It's a hard, tiring job, but it is your wedding day, and your site should respect this and let you know of any managerial changes along the way.
Overall, all my guest said it was great, I'm married, and that was the point of the whole thing anyway
The Martinelli Event Center was such a great venue for our wedding. It met our price and aesthetic needs perfectly. Lindsay, the coordinator there, was such a great help. I know that I sent WAY more emails than were necessary and she was always very quick to answer them.
The service was great and everyone was friendly. Things went very smoothly. My only complaint if it is one at all, is that things were cleaned up a little too quickly. If lices of cake and drinks were left on the table for even just a second the crew cleaned them right up. People returning from the dance floor looking for their cake or drinks were surprised to find nothing where they left it! Glad they are on top of things I guess! Thank you all for making my wedding such a blast for everyone!
I had my wedding here on April 29. I could not have asked for a better coordinator and location. Everything looked beautiful and Lindsay was able to help me with any questions I had. The food was to die for. I hope I go to more weddings here just because og my experience.
We loved our wedding at Garre's Martinelli Center. We loved the beautiful vineyard and tuscan inspired building. The Courtyard has a beautiful fountain and fireplace. We had our dancing outside and had little lights hung across the courtyard. We had our ceremony outside by the vineyard and reception dinner inside with plenty of room to seat 200 guests. It also had a great system and slide down screens for our slideshow. It was wonderful how the ceremony and reception was all in the same grounds. We loved dancing outside to music under the stars. The only drawback was we wished it could have gone later. Garre has a sound curfew at 10pm. So we did have an afterparty! The only thing I reccomend is keeping an eye on all of your stuff because many things went missing including my husbands tux jacket which was put in the grooms quarters. A coworkers daughter was married there the month before and complained about personal items missing as well. Our cordinator Lindsay was great and did a wonderful job helping the wedding flow. Just wish my husbands jacket showed up we had to end up paying $300 for it. Overall it is a beautiful venue and we were very happy:)
I love The Martinelli Event Center at Garre Winery and Vineyards in Livermore, CA! I got married Saturday, August 28, 2010. Everything was a dream come true! Our guests loved everything about the venue, from having the ceremony on a hill overlooking the vineyards, to the elegant reception hall. Cocktail hour was outside in the courtyward by the fireplace, since it was a bit windy that day, but that only made it feel more cozy. When my husband and I first visited Garre Winery a year before our wedding date, we knew immediately this was the place to celebrate our marriage with all our friends and family. Our coordinator, Lindsey, was just the best! She was always so helpful and patient with us throughout the whole process. She made sure our day was perfect because she even got there super early to set up all our favors and decorations. To top it all off, the food was absolutely delicious! We have heard only wonderful things from all our guests, friends, and family about the food and service. Thanks to Garre Winery for making our day so special!
I had a wonderful wedding at the martinelli center in May of 2010. The staff did a great job and the food was fabulous !! Book them early as they book up fast for the wedding season !
We had our wedding at the Martinelli Center at Garre. It was beautiful and well taken care of. Jacqueline was our coordinator and she was wonderful to work with! She was always very prompt when responding to my emails/phone calls. She made accommodations for us to visit the site when we requested to. I never felt like I was an inconvenience when I asked her questions and I must have met with her 3-4 times. She was very honest and knowledgeable. The day of our wedding she did an excellent job coordinating and making sure that everything was taken care of. I had a friend who was helping coordinate as well and Jacqueline worked well with her.
Overall I thought that the quality of the food (we had the Fruit Platter/Coq A Vin chicken which were both yummy). They were flexible with us which was so helpful as we felt like we didn't have to compromise anything and were able to stay in our budget which was important. Staff was friendly and the facility was beautiful.
the grapes were growing, time for harvest so the scenery was green, lush and we were very lucky the weather cooperated.;seems like you have to be very specific about the type of service you would like to have ie pouring of wine during dinner, book an hour extra regardless...there is a noise ordinance in Livermore.
I LOVED the ambiance - it was in a white pavilion/tent at a vineyard. The surroundings were spectacular - a large old oak tree as the ceremony backdrop, vineyards, gardens, all peaceful and serene. The staff were sweet, prompt, and helpful while the costs were kept lower than any other vineyard setting we researched. The chef, Ty, is great and the food delicious. The bridal cottage, where I dressed, was private, clean, and beautiful as well. They also only have one wedding at each of their two properties per day.
;huge turnover of staff resulting in lack of communication
