the entire process - planning, serving, cleaning up, etc. Gail and Ray were incredibly professional and our guests loved the food. They truly went above and beyond and were a joy to have at our event. They worked nonstop in the August heat in the middle of a state park without a problem. They packaged up our leftovers so nicely and even set up the park grill to keep the meat warm when they left so people could still enjoy the food. (Of course our guests wanted seconds and thirds!) We recommend Gary's to anyone looking for a super friendly group of individuals who know what they're doing. Sheri and Danielle were very helpful handling all of our questions. Even though my husband and I did not choose to include drinks from Gary's, they were still happy to help us figure out how much of our own to provide. Let's get the word out about this phenomenal Michigan-based service! They offer so many great options for a variety of events. Gary's Catering will make your event a great success and will definitely take a lot off of your plate, no pun intended.

Chicken and red pepper pasta was my favorite, and the mushrooms were everyone's.

All of it, and they even had a veggie burger option for me! The day of my wedding, an employee working by the grill helped me out with my food because i was carrying my dress and it was slightly raining (outdoor wedding). She was so sweet and all of the staff members were great. They have so much more than just food though! Take a look at their website and what all they have to offer. n and so we had to bring in just about everything ourselves. Before we had even booked, Gary's invited us in for a tasting (up to 6 people!) and we were able to try the entire menu that we were considering. Sherry, the event coordinator, was easy to talk to and very helpful in the planning process. We decided on the barbecue package, where they bring the grill and cook certain items on location. For us, this included BBQ chicken, beef tenderloin skewers, and garlic bread, all of which I highly recommend!! Their pulled pork also got many compliments from our guests. The waitstaff that came with Gary's was excellent: they carried my plate for me as the bride, dismissed the tables to the buffet line, and cleared the tables once our guests were done with dinner. We also rented a tent and water goblets through Gary's. The delivery of the tent, water goblets, and silverware was on time and professional. We were very happy with the service we received from Gary's catering throughout the whole process, planning - wedding day. I would highly recommend Gary's catering for your catering needs!

get. Since we lived far away from our reception location, Chef Joseph set up a tasting session outside of their normal business hours to accommodate us. In the days (weeks, months) leading up to the wedding, Sheri continuously checked in on me and accommodated all of my last minute changes and requests with no trouble. We were also able to rent our tables, plates, and silverware from Gary's for a fraction of the cost elsewhere, which saved us both money and hassle. On the day of, I (as the bride) was hardly able to pay attention to and keep up with everything going on, but the site coordinator made sure that I was well taken care of so I didn't have to worry. She came to me at the head table to carry my plate and walk me through the buffet to select my food. She even frequently checked in on me to see if I needed anything - and by anything I mean she would refill my water (a service I hadn't opted to purchase for the wedding) and even get me drinks from the bar. Their staff even broke the buffet tables down and carried them off the dance floor, which was also a chore I never paid for - they just did it because it needed to be done! I was floored by their professionalism and service. Now - the food. Everyone RAVED about it (and still do). We opted for the "traditional" beef, chicken, potatoes, veggies, and tossed salad buffet - but the food was anything but ordinary. The roasted chicken was a huge portion (1/4 chicken I believe), and it was ridiculously flavorful and juicy for a buffet to feed 260+ people. The potatoes where all but entirely snatched up by people going for seconds. We never ran out of food, and we actually froze the leftovers. My husband and I are still eating the leftover chicken and it is STILL delicious. I cannot believe the quality of food and service we received for the price. I would absolutely recommend Gary's Catering for ANY event, and I will definitely be booking them again in the future! Thank you so much for making the biggest day of my life perfect!

outdoor wedding so we had a grill chef come to our location. It was a great time for everyone. They are so reasonably priced and you get a lot of food! I would without a doubt use them again. Very prompt to answering questions, everything was seamless.

All of the entrees were great, but you *must* get the sweet potatoes with the pecans in them as a side. Finally, wedding catering can get extremely expensive, buy Gary’s provides a great price point. We ended up paying a fraction of the price other places quoted us, and honestly I can’t imagine the food being any better somewhere else.

beef marsala, jumbo cheese ravioli with spinach artichoke & feta on the side, french cut green bean almandine, rosemary roasted potatoes, class tossed salad with assorted dressings along with rolls. Honestly, hands down the best meal I've ever had catered! Would book Gary's again in a heart beat. Wonderful company & staff to work with as well!

what happened. We had a backyard BBQ wedding, and we were very pleased with the quality of the food and how helpful Sheri was with setting everything up and helping us figure out what we needed. I changed the order a few times in the year between signing the contract and the wedding, but Sheri had no problem switching things around. The problem was, I feel like we ended up getting the "B squad". I understand it, because they had so many events that day (June 21st) and we had a small wedding (75 guests) but because I ordered so far in advance I didn't expect that. The people who came showed up 45 minutes late in a rental truck (though I know the company has a ton of branded trucks) and ran into the best man's car while trying to back into the drive way. They weren't clothed correctly or very professional, and they had an extra person who was "a friend" just hanging around for no reason. I truly think all of this was something that doesn't normally happen with the company. Sheri was very upset with all the things we told her and wanted to make everything as right as she possibly could. I really think we just so happened to have had a small event on a day that too many other people had big events on, and we sort of got the short end of the stick. That doesn't make it totally ok, but ultimately all of our guests were VERY pleased with everything, and I don't even think anyone notice any unprofessionalism (we had a pretty laid back casual wedding). I even had a guest ask for the number because her son is getting married next summer. I happily gave it to her. I only wrote about the bad things that happened for transparency, but none of those things ruined our day, just didn't quite meet expectations. I truly give them 4 stars and would recommend them.

It's been a few weeks since our wedding, and I am still receiving compliments on how delicious everything was! I am looking forward to hosting another large party, so I can hire them again! hat it wasn't "just more wedding food" shocked our guests and the guys who showed up to grill! I came out in my wedding dress and one of the chefs was very surprised! Great food, service was not as good as expected but Sheri in the office took care of us!
