Gathering Oaks Retreat was everything we could have hoped for and more! From the moment we booked, the communication was exceptional. Rebekah was incredibly kind, responsive, and h...
elpful throughout the entire planning process, which made everything so much less stressful.
The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. The property is so well maintained, and the scenery created the most perfect backdrop for our wedding day. Every corner of the venue is stunning, and our guests couldn't stop talking about how gorgeous everything was.
We truly had the best day ever at Gathering Oaks and couldn't have imagined getting married anywhere else. We are so thankful for everyone at Gathering Oaks for helping make our wedding so special. If you're looking for a beautiful venue with amazing service, I can't recommend Gathering Oaks enough!
When I started planning my wedding, my two requirements were somewhere everyone can stay in one place and a property that allows dogs. I found Gathering Oaks Retreat and I’m so inc...
redibly grateful I did. This beautiful venue has so much to offer, it’s very modern and updated, and clean and beautiful. My guests were in awe at the space and beauty. The property manager, Rebekah, was so wonderful to work with throughout the entire experience, especially with me being a bride from out of state. She even helped my wedding planner set up day of. I could not have asked for a better weekend with all my friends and family.
If you’re looking for a beautiful venue for a small, intimate wedding, this is the place to do it. There are plenty of games and space to entertain guests, dogs can roam freely, and all guests will have their own private areas to stay.
Thank you to the owners of this property for creating and designing such a unique and unbelievable venue. This was a once in a lifetime experience- to have my dogs and people stay a whole weekend to celebrate our love- and I’m forever grateful!
We chose Gathering Oaks for our daughter's wedding. Our families stayed on site for 3 nights and everyone had a great time.
I was in love with my wedding day! The best place to choose for doing any event :)
DREAMY! That is the perfect word to describe this venue! It was the PERFECT place to bring both sides of our family together from out of state for an entire weekend to celebrate ou...
r wedding and the joining of our families. There are not enough words to describe how amazing this place is from the comfort and beautifully designed rooms, access to pool/hot tub and outdoor games (tennis court, putt-putt, pickle ball + more), to the breath taking views of the property, and access to walking paths, our families truly fell in love as soon as they stepped foot on property. We cannot thank Rebekah enough for all of her help throughout this process. She answered any questions we had and she is so easy to communicate with and get in touch with throughout the entire process. To the owners Brandon + Lacy for opening their beautiful grounds to our family and grounds keeper, Randall who helped keep the property in perfect condition and assisted with set up on wedding day...There is truly not enough praise for how thankful we are for all the help, everything exceeded our expectations. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to host our wedding weekend here. It was BEYOND perfect. Family members who are yet to married wish to have their wedding here as well. Every single person who attended still talks about this weekend and we all wish it could have lasted forever. A true FAIRYTALE venue. Thank you endlessly. We hope to return for a future family reunion! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Gathering Oaks was a beautiful venue and everything we wanted for our wedding. The property is well taken care of and they are constantly improving it. Before we arrived, Lacy had ...
some extra flower planted in the garden/yard areas to make it even more beautiful!!
We were able to have 40+ guests stay with us and treat it like home for the weekend which is exactly what we wanted. The rooms are super comfortable and there is plenty of room in the common areas to do DIY meals for small groups or have a traditionally catered wedding. We did both for different meals during our weekend stay.
Lacy and Rebekah were super easy to work with and were always quick to respond to questions or schedule visits. Rebekah was also able to spend some time at our wedding and she is so fun, she blended right in with our guests and we loved having her!
I wish that I could give this place more than 5 stars. We had our wedding here the weekend of 10/8 and it was absolutely perfect.
We are from Houston, and there is NOTHING like G...
athering Oaks in our area. All of our friends and family asked us "Why Waco??" and it was strictly because of how much we love this venue.
After touring a couple venues in our area, we realized that we didn't want our "Day" to be over so fast. We wanted a place where all our friends/family could stay the night and still "be together" after the reception ended without having to figure out logistics back to a hotel, etc.
There are so many options on the property where you can choose to have your ceremony, dinner, reception. We had our ceremony/cocktail hour in the Courtyard area, and our reception under a tent near the wooded area. It was such a great choice because once dancing started, the "older" crowd would migrate to campfire area away from the music. I loved walking around and seeing groups of people enjoying the entire property.
The staff is soooo accommodating and responsive. Rebekah helped answer all my questions and went above & beyond to assist and accommodate all of our needs. A huge shout out to her!
We got so many compliments on the venue. It's decorated so tastefully and the amenities are endless. They are constantly making improvements, as well. We were able to add on an additional cabin to give our guest's more privacy.
We did not have one issue the entirely of our stay, and I cannot recommend this venue more to any brides who are looking for a "destination wedding" vibe without having to get on a plane or leave the country.
This place is absolutely gorgeous! Everyone we worked with was so professional and super easy to talk to. If we had any questions, which I always did, they responded quickly and of...
fered great suggestions. The on-site guest rooms made it very convenient for out of town guests to stay on site. I can not say enough positive things about our experience!
Our wedding at Gathering Oaks was absolutely perfect. We wanted an outdoor space that was effortlessly beautiful and that would be an easy and comfortable space for our family and ...
friends to gather, and the venue provided all of this and more. We loved being able to have our ceremony, reception, and wedding pictures all in one place, and the option for our out-of-town friends and family to stay onsite in the Gathering House and the cottages provided ease with logistics and allowed us more quality time with our loved ones. The Gathering Oaks team was absolutely wonderful to work with- responsive, helpful, solution-oriented, and genuinely kind. Our wedding day was fun and stress-free, and we’d recommend Gathering Oaks without hesitation every time!
We couldn't be happier that we chose this venue. We enjoyed the weekend with the rehearsal dinner, ceremony and dinner/dance all at one place. Also, it was fantastic that some ...
of our family and friends could stay on site. It made for more time to enjoy being together. Several people commented that it felt magical. The setting was just perfect for the outdoor wedding that my daughter wanted. The staff was so great to work with and I have hopes that they will continue to grow in their success.
Gathering oaks was a wonderful venue for us and our family during our wedding! It was perfect for a large wedding as well as would be for a smaller one too! We had approximately 23...
0 people there with about 60 people who stayed on site all weekend. It had great air bnb’s near by as well to help host others who needed to stay.
Great option for a get away wedding tucked away in the country with a pool, hot tub, and some beautiful views.
If looking to have a wedding on their tennis court and wanting a band, be aware there is not enough electricity to support a full band, and lightning. We had to rent a generator to support full band. We also had to rent port-o-potty due to our guest number and septic tank considerations.
They were great to work with!
