ent along . All we kept hearing from people is how we wouldn’t have time to eat and drink at our wedding, so on and so forth . Not the case here, we were able to enjoy everything because of them, our guests loved it , the service was amazing and the food was excellent . We LOVED our wedding and if you’re reading this, do yourself a favor and get in touch with these people at the Gatsby. Other things I will note : They will work within your budget and are extremely transparent . The packages they offer are very competitive, it can be as simple or as over the top as you’d like . These people are amazing at what they do , trust them , and let em’ cook ~ We had our ceremony on the beach behind the venue, it was beautiful and very convenient. The house vendors that they work with are very good, it is worth taking a look. We Highly recommend Gatsby on the Ocean.

great job adjusting to the weather and the night went off seemlessly. The food was so delicious and people are still talking about the Filet Mignon. Elyse helped us set up ahead of time and the venue was just beautiful and the night was a blast.

ision was made! She has such enthusiasm, nothing is too difficult, she solves all problems, she's so creative and comes up with unbelievable ideas. On top of that, she thinks of EVERYTHING!! And I do mean EVERYTHING!! In addition, she took my daughter's food allergies as seriously as we do. She had us meet with the chef, Joey, who checked every single ingredient on all of his recipes. If there was something that wasn't safe, he suggested alternatives. He even allowed us to bring him the chocolate to make a chocolate fountain for dessert so she could enjoy it along with everyone else. All of our guests RAVED about how delicious their meals were and how much they loved the cocktail hour! Every time we emailed Heather with questions, she responded right away with answers. She made every step of the way stress free and so much fun! We truly enjoyed the 10 months we spent planning our wedding day! We used the entire space for the whole day and they set each area up perfectly! They helped the florist with everything she needed for the decorations-and there was a lot! We had 100's of candles everywhere. Inside and out! They even moved them around to different locations throughout the night as the party moved about the space. We had all the girls there getting ready, so we took over the bridal suite and the groom's suite. They set up breakfast and champagne and kept it refreshed all day. We had the ceremony outside overlooking the ocean, which was a dream come true! Then we used one terrace for the cocktail hour, and the other for the after party! It was perfect! And then there is John. OMG-amazing!! He took care of everything for us on our big day. We went there a few days prior and went through every detail so thoroughly. He was patient, and took the time to clarify all of my ideas so he would be able to execute them with my vision. And he did it beautifully! On our wedding day, he had everything just as it was planned. If he had a question, he asked - but he had already asked just about everything in advance! Literally every time I needed something, he "happened" to be right there taking care of it practically before I could finish my sentence! He remembered things I had forgotten! He was there with us all the way through the after party and hanging out with us while we waited for our car at like 2:00 in the morning! And when we returned to pick everything up the next day, he had it all packed and ready! Everyone at Gatsby's was incredible! We had 2 bridal attendants, both were phenomenal! The waitstaff and bartenders were incredible and so attentive! I cannot tell how many guests called and texted the next day to tell us not only how beautiful everything was, how delicious the food was, but also how great the staff was! They returned over and over throughout the night to check if our guests needed anything and if everything was alright. The next day I said to my husband, "I can't wait to plan our 10-year anniversary party there!" But hopefully we'll do it even sooner!! John, the maître d', was incredibly attentive, ensuring every detail was taken care of. Elyse was fantastic, meticulously overseeing everything to make sure it was perfect. Ginger, our bridal attendant, was an absolute angel. She made sure my husband and I were well taken care of throughout the entire event. Our wedding at Gatsby on the Ocean was a dream come true, thanks to the wonderful team and the breathtaking venue. Highly recommended!

. Caitlyn the bridal attendant was there for everything I needed. I don't know what I would have done without her.John the maitre'd ran everything like a well oiled machine and made sure everyone was happy. Caitlyn and John even helped us load up our car at the end of the night. The rest of the staff worked so hard throughout the entire event but always with a smile.The food was absolutely delicious. I am so very glad that I picked the Gatsby for my wedding reception.

With the high ceilings and large oceanfront windows, gatsby was a beautiful canvas for the room I envisioned. I was the biggest pain in the butt at times and Elise was my guardian angel. She was there to help me every step of the way- no matter how silly the question or request was- and made our day so perfect!!! Elise was so involved, she even oversaw my party despite the fact she was not working, just as a helping hand as she probably knew I needed her! Lol. I couldn’t have gotten through my wedding without her. The staff at gatsby were always so incredible and helpful/ especially Roy and John as well. If anything occurred, they handled things swiftly and were always so polite and kind! My guests could not say enough good things about the venue and the staff/service. My guests also loved how fun the venue was with their large bar and all of the delicious food! I am so grateful to Elise and the staff at gatsby and cannot imagine having celebrated our big day anywhere else!

My bridal attendant was phenomenal! She made sure I ate, made sure I had a drink, and worked very well with my day of coordinator. The food was delicious! em. The maitre d, Elyse, was a pleasure to work with and made the day feel like a fairytale. Despite the downpour outside and the limited scenery available for pictures, she made great use of the space and made up for anything that was out of her control. Heather made sure my vision for all of the decor and centerpieces were fully realized and even made use of extra things that I brought. John, the main bartender, made sure that every glass was always full and most importantly my father in law was no longer stressing. There was never once a line at the bar. Our bridal attendants, Kristen and Caitlin, went above and beyond. They made sure all my issues disappeared, from my dress falling apart to bringing us food while we were coming down from the amazing ceremony. The kitchen crew were clearly hard at work because they delivered exceptional food and no complaints by our guests. We would 1000% recommend this venue to anybody looking to book an event no matter how big or small.

The venue is beautiful and required nothing extra to make it wedding ready. The day of the wedding was everything we had pictured! The food was delicious and the family style meal was a hit with our guests. The team at Gatsby took care of everything in a way that allowed us to truly enjoy the day with friends and family. We are incredibly grateful for the team at Gatsby and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!

o have our party. Elyse is a godsend. Throughout the whole process, she was so helpful and honest. She gave us amazing tips and insight. She was responsive the entire time and was overall an amazing person. She made it so easy to work with her as we currently live in Cleveland. The whole day was flawless and perfect. There was a mishap with our cake that Elyse took care of so fast that it wasn't even an issue when she told me. Elyse and her team did such an amazing job - and guests loved everything about Gatsby. Some still say it's the best wedding they've ever been to! From the beautiful scenery, to the service, to the food and everything in-between. But that's all thanks to Elyse and team. I cannot thank Elyse enough for all that she's done to make this day for us perfect. And I cannot recommend her and Gatsby on The Ocean enough - especially if you want a location near the water.

And the food at Gatsby is absolutely phenomenal. Our guests loved the cocktail hour view of the sunset and ocean, they loved everything they ate and drank. It was perfect for our bridal party and family to get a sneak peak of how unbelievable this venue is and whats in store for the actual wedding day! Our ceremony was outdoors as well as our cocktail hour followed by the reception inside. There was not one single issue with the planning, coordination, or set up of the actual wedding day. Elyse Remigio was the main person we worked with and she is extremely kind, accommodating and patient. I would highly recommend this beautiful place for a wedding, or any party!!

The day was beyond what my fiancé and I dreamed of and we can’t thank the team enough for their hard work, organization, happy and positive vibe, and genuine willingness to do whatever it took to make the day PERFECT for us, our families, and our friends! We were a huge bridal party and everything was perfect and ran smoothly- thanks to them! In addition to the most incredible staff, the venue is absolutely gorgeous, and we were able to make our dreams come true getting married at the beach while also having an upscale elegant venue. The ceremony, cocktail hour during sunset, and reception were perfect. The food and drinks were delicious thanks to an amazing chef, kitchen staff, and bartenders. My guests are still talking about what a great venue it is and I can’t recommend getting married there enough!! -Erin & Nick

ant rehearsal dinner seamless, in fact, Elyse’s professionalism and communication is what sold me on Gatsby. The ballroom is gorgeous and I loved how there were so many different options that we had for what we wanted with only needed about half of the event space (indoor vs outdoor, leaving the ballroom completely open, having a divider up between the restaurant and our side of the ballroom.) We were also able to make slight changes to their menu package to fit our guests’ needs.

As this was our first venue to look at, Elyse took the time to answer each and every question. Elyse also made sure we had other questions to ask potential venues as we hadn’t even thought of to ask yet. She gives us the ins and outs of what we could expect, and she was spot on. With it being COVID, she reassured us of all our worries, but did mention that with rescheduling and the current state, dates were getting booked up quickly. We visited 6 other venues in a 2 week time, and realized that not only was the Gatsby On The Ocean right for us, Elyse was also right for us. After committing to Gatsby On The Ocean, Elyse started to set up a time table and checklist of things we needed to get done. Elyse also provided a list of recommended vendors, and also encouraged us to find our own, but in the end, Elyse again, had the better insight and gave us the best list of vendors from the beginning. As the wedding date drew closer to us, Heather Breitman was introduced to us, and became a second set of hands to help us as things popped up. Heather was with us when we had our menu tasting and talked us through each of the options, which is needed because the amount of choices at Gatsby On The Ocean is incredible. Between Elyse and Heather, any last minute questions or problems that arose, they both answered timely via email, phone, even text, whichever was most comfortable for us. The days before, and day of the wedding, we were introduced to Brett Belferder and Kristen. Brett made sure that everything we dropped off beforehand, every centerpiece (we had 16 tables and each table had a different centerpiece), the arch, the decor…. Everything you can think of needing to have at the wedding, Brett made sure that we had it, and it was displayed the way it was intended. During the day of the wedding, Brett kept everyone on time, was with us while we talked to the other vendors to ensure every one was on the same page, Brett kept the ceremony on track and the nerves at a minimum! If you needed anything, Brett was easy to find and a pleasure to work with, he got everything handled quietly and quickly! Kristen helped Leia (Bride) with the dress, bustle, food and drinks for everyone in the bridal party. Anytime Leia needed anything, Kristen was always available and able to take care of it. The food for the wedding, from Chef Eric, was phenomenal. We are both culinary graduates, and Chef Eric was able to blow both of us away. From the passed hors d’oeuvres and food stations during the cocktail hour, to the entrees for dinner, everything was seasoned and presented perfectly. Also, if you choose not to get the mini lobster rolls at your event, you are doing yourself a disservice. The day after our event, Brett and Elyse had everything from our wedding, in one easy pickup location and assisted us on getting them out in one piece.Everyone at Gatsby On The Ocean, not mentioned above, was just as amazing. Every team member that worked our wedding was upbeat, positive, yes attitudes, and working non stop. I hope whomever reads this, will choose Gatsby On The Ocean, for whatever event they are having, as they will not be disappointed!

We were hunting for venues during the pandemic and she not only met with my in-laws and gave them an in person tour, but also did a separate tour with us via Facetime (we were planning long distance). Then there's Heather. Elyse and Heather are the two people you'll communicate with most leading up to the wedding and I could not have asked for two better people. They both responded quickly and thoroughly to my MANY emails and calls. Heather was truly amazing during our tasting and throughout the planning process - she and Elyse both made it FUN and not stressful. The day before the wedding, we went to Gatsby to drop off some things for the wedding and when we walked out on the grassy area where we were going to have the ceremony, we were COVERED in bugs. It had been downpouring throughout the week, so the grass was super saturated. This was not an issue - Elyse showed us an alternate way to set up the ceremony outside and the problem was solved (and barely a blip in the grand scheme of things). The day of, I was so happy to walk into the Gatsby and see Elyse and Heather. We'd been working together for so long and they had both been so wonderful - I knew everything was going to be perfect because of them. Kristen, my bridal attendant, was nothing short of perfect. She was so attentive and practically anticipated what I needed before I knew I needed it. The day ran so smoothly. Everything was on time, everything was exactly what we wanted - I can't say enough good things. People RAVED about the food (especially cocktail hour). Kristen was kind enough to bring us some apps even though we missed a good chunk of cocktail hour because of pictures :) The reception hall is just breathtaking at night with candles lit and lights lowered. Gatsby is perfect. Having good people to work with at a venue is crucial and you could not ask for better people than Elyse, Heather, and their team. Top it off with a gorgeous location, beautiful reception hall, and delicious food, and it does not get much better!!!

oned our photos on the balcony and on the beach. I grew up going to Jones Beach and my fiancee is a Jones Beach lifeguard so we immediately felt right at home. Elyse shared our enthusiasm and helped us plan the perfect day. She was honest and patient with us throughout our 8 months of planning and helped us plan a safe, and beautiful day following COVID restrictions. We had 50 of our closest family members and friends on 10/10/20. It wasn't the day we originally planned, but it was perfect. We will be back next year for our one year anniversary party with our original guest list. I highly recommend this venue! I'm sure that people reading this review have attended hundreds of weddings all around Long Island. So many of my guests shared that our wedding was the first they ever attended at Gatsby and they were very impressed with both the ambiance and service! Our photos from the day look like they are right out of a fairy tale and we can't wait to go back next year!

As we were nearing the end of summer, we realized that while things had improved somewhat in New York, coronavirus was still a huge concern. On my husband's side especially, his family was very worried and did not feel comfortable attending an indoor ceremony and reception. There was absolutely no way we could get married without his family there. So we decided we needed to act quickly if we were going to save our wedding and still get married this year. Not only did we need to find a new venue with outdoor options for both ceremony and reception, we needed to change the date to early October so it wouldn't be too cold. This all happened very fast during the last week of August. In a bit of a frenzy, we were contacting and touring venues, which was not something we were expecting to do six weeks before our wedding. We were so incredibly fortunate to find Gatsby on the Ocean and especially Elyse, the coordinator there. As you can imagine, when we first met with her, we were in complete distress about our wedding and what we were going to do in light of coronavirus. She was nothing short of amazing in having a vision of how we could still have a beautiful and safe wedding in spite of all the circumstances. To see it come to fruition was a dream come true, and as I said, it was an absolutely perfect day. Never would I have imagined I would have been able to get married on the beach and have my wedding reception overlooking the ocean. It was gorgeous! And we were blessed with amazing weather! We had a full cocktail hour, but for covid-related safety, the passed hors d'oeuvres were individually plated and served by the waitstaff. The cocktail stations were served buffet style with plexiglass between the servers and guests and each table being called up one at a time, which worked really well. All the food was so delicious! The setups for both the ceremony and reception were really thoughtfully done to keep households together and separated from each other, again due to coronavirus concerns. Our wedding party and all our guests were so complimentary of Gatsby and enjoyed themselves immensely. As indicated, Elyse is amazing and just super impressive. She is creative, organized, easy to communicate with (we texted often) and a problem-solver. She is really a top-notch professional. In addition, my bridal attendant, Christian, was awesome and went above and beyond on our wedding day, everyone had a million kind things to say about him. There was a golf cart attendant, who was so helpful and nice. We were there all day, from 8 AM to 9 PM, including getting ready there (super convenient), and the whole staff was lovely. I really cannot recommend Gatsby on the Ocean enough! We just love it there. It still amazes me, after all the ups and downs the last few months due to the pandemic, that we were able to have such a beautiful, incredible wedding - I feel like it turned out better than what we had initially planned pre-covid! It felt like a "real" wedding and that we didn't lose out on anything. And also, another special thing about Gatsby on the Ocean is that it's a restaurant, so we will be able to revisit often for special occasions, like anniversary dinners, birthdays, etc.
