It was a hurricane during our wedding and everyone says had we not had the Gauper’s doing our photos that day, we would have never had the memories they captured for us, you couldn’t even tell how dreary it was outside because the Gauper’s had so many great ideas as far as where to make photos work, including a dance in the rain picture at the end of the night😍My husband and I like the fun and creative and weren’t looking for the typical “cheesy” wedding photos and the Holly and Ryan are so creative and AMAZING at what they do they got photos from our wedding we couldn’t have even dreamt up. We also received a wedding album from them which is amazing, very durable, and we look at it ALL the time. We cannot say enough incredible things about Holly and Ryan except that if a wedding doesn’t have them, they will be missing out. We loved them so much we still keep in touch with them via social media till this day to see all the magic they continue to make.

to that energy and get some really good shots. I read their TheKnot.com profile, looked at some of their work and decided to ask for a quote. Holly runs most of the show (even though their email signature is "Ryan Gauper") and she called me the same day. I had a list of questions and she answered them all to my satisfaction and then some. I am in metro Detroit so I had to pay an additional travel fee for them to come out but it was incredibly reasonable. I got one of their more expensive packages but not the highest so the price was on the more expensive side, but 100% WORTH IT! Holly and Ryan did a Skype call with us about a month before the wedding to go through the wedding day schedule and they were so helpful with suggestions (since my husband and I have never been this close to wedding planning before) on when and where to do certain things and what to expect in general. We could tell immediately from their attention to detail and specific questions that this was not their first rodeo and we were in good hands. On the day of the wedding, Holly and Ryan arrived at the house right on time and immediately got to work. Holly spent time doing detail shots of all of my wedding accessories and after, Ryan headed out to meet the boys at their hotel and Holly kept shooting the girls getting ready. Holly came with us on the party bus and we were early to the church so Holly and Ryan coordinated so we wouldn’t inadvertently run into my husband to be. Holly and Ryan were so quick and efficient that we were able to get a ton of pictures that I didn't think we would get! We got married in a Catholic church so we had a couple rules for the photographers and Holly and Ryan did great. They were like ninjas and were super respectful of the wedding mass. After the ceremony, Ryan set up the lighting and we were able to move through the family portraits super efficiently and head to the reception space. There were so many good places to take pictures and we let Holly and Ryan do their thing. My husband and I had absolutely no demands and gave them only minimal direction on timing. It was so darn cold and we were scurrying from one location to the other and getting a ton of shots and I was internally praying that my mild hypothermia would be worth it. After the external shots, we had the grand entrance, cut the cake, ate dinner, danced and, too soon, had to say goodbye to Holly and Ryan at 9:00 PM. My only regret about my wedding photography is that I should have paid for another 2.5 hours of shooting for them to stay until the end of my reception. Holly and Ryan got all of the pictures that we wanted and then some. Their good attitudes, bright energy and photography skills make them an amazing team that any bride should feel secure and fortunate to find. Their payment process, proofing site and website with a communication history all in one place is awesome. I love how professional everything was and how easy all of their sites were to navigate. And the pictures! OMG I was hyperventilating when I finally saw them because they were better than I could ever have imagined! For days and days I could not stop looking at them and I will treasure them for the rest of my life.

They are a great duo with an excellent eye for detail, capturing the celebration and simultaneously the raw emotion and feelings of the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with them and we look forward to utilizing their services again in the future!

earch was over. Ryan and Holly are not like the other photographers we looking into. They are FUN, easy going, very talented, and have personality. I hate having my picture taken, but with the gaupers everything was easy, no pressure, natural, and the pictures came out great. The communication between us and the Gaupers was great, we had multiple questions on a time line for our wedding day, sent ryan a message, and 10 mins later we were on a face time call for the next 45 mins hashing out all the details for our big day. We also had our engagement phones done by Ryan and Holly, we had everything set up for a sunny fall day, until the day came and it was not sunny...Ryan called, and strongly suggested we pick another day where the weather would be better. Now this may not seem like a big deal, but the Gaupers knew the type of pictures we wanted and didn't want to disappoint! Lastly, turn around time on our pictures was great. I recommend the Gaupers to everyone who is looking for a photographer, they did not disappoint!

I could go on and on and on about Holly & Ryan. They are level-headed, compassionate people. They make you feel extremely comfortable. They are genuine. They are loads of fun! osed! The idea of planning my wedding was overwhelming, but I knew one thing for sure...I wanted GAUPERphoto. The rest of my wedding budget would just have to work around that. And I can't tell you how happy I am that they were able to travel to the Detroit area for our special day. They were so organized and prompt, yet calm and confident. Everything was timed perfectly, even though we had them driving all over town. We wanted to have our first look at our home in the country, about an hour away from where the ceremony was being held. They ended up dedicating a full 12 hours to our wedding since we had to start early to accommodate the additional travel. Let me tell you the photos are incredible. They are true artists. We had photos taken in a variety of contrasting locales- on the farm, in front of a clean white museum, at a dirty graffiti laden market in the middle of Detroit and at an ornate golden-domed Byzantine church. They captured the unique beauty of each location with ease. The album is cohesive and shot in their very own style that no one else could replicate. So of course I love the photos of us - my husband and I, our friends and family (we all look so gorgeous in all the shots...seriously, how did you do that?) but I have to say my favorites are the photos of all the details. The details I spent so much time designing, gathering and creating. The flowers...the desserts...the embellishments and the little tokens that I poured my heart and soul into (not the mention the countless hours I spent when I should have been working...shhh). These are the items that I honestly don't even remember seeing that day. I didn't even see the dessert table which was so colorful and decadent. I didn't really notice the center pieces that I put together which complimented the floral arrangements perfectly. I probably would have forgotten about the blue-stoned turtle pinned to my bouquet that served as my something old, borrowed and blue. I am forever grateful that Ryan and Holly took the time to notice these little efforts and document them. The photos are the one thing you can hold on to forever from that day (other than your spouse of course). You won't wear your dress again (even if I wanted to...two kids later, it's just not happening!), you won't take another bite of cake or dance on the same dance floor, but the photos will last a lifetime and you owe it to yourself to make sure you choose someone who is made to do this. And I'm sure you have gathered by now that I'm talking about The Gaupers. Thanks Ryan and Holly - looking forward to introducing you to our rugrats when you take our family photos later this year. :)

Ryan worked with us on an exceptionally cold December day and we still had some outdoor pictures, he creatively used indoor space at our venue and he organized our large blended family. He worked through the preceremony time to capture the venue and take pictures of the things and moments I as a bride didn’t get to see. He stayed well into the reception and we have picture after picture of friends and family and nothing but joy and laughter. He made himself available for others to have family photos taken (a very generous offer) and no request was to big or too small. In addition, while I hear of some couples waiting months to receive their photos, Holly and Ryan got us a sneak peak at a few photos just a week after and within a timely manner, we have all our photos ready to print. Weddings should be stress free. Gauper Photo made it that way, beginning to end. Thanks, you two.

e wanted something completely different and that's what we received! We couldn't have asked for more. They were very flexible and totally worked with us through-out our engagement making sure things were set and helping me especially, to not be stressed out during the final few weeks. They definitely made things happen and our pictures turned out awesome! We've gotten SO many compliments on our photography it's great! I have nothing but good things to say about them! I would recommend Ryan and Holly to anyone. They are a fun and energenic couple that make things happen!

had an hour long conversation about the day, so they could get a feel for who we were. A little about them: Holly is magic. She is bubbly and so funny. Her sense of humor keeps things that might otherwise be stressful lighthearted and fun. She's also totally on top of things. She'll make sure your hair is right and that you look gorgeous in every shot. Ryan is quieter, which is really great for the genuinely intimate shots. You don't feel like he's breathing down your neck and you can really be yourself and feel the emotions of the day without feeling embarrassed. He also has a really dry sense of humor, and made both of us chuckle a lot. They make a wonderful team. On the big day, the Gaupers will make sure you're on time for everything. They won't keep you in one place too long, and if it's not working, they'll move somewhere else! They work well spontaneously, and will use the surroundings to make the pics even better. In some of the most beauteous shots, we're actually really tiny and nature is the hero! I love that. They're also great with group shots—bossy enough to get people in line quickly, but nice enough to make everyone feel comfortable. And oh man, the photos are just EPIC. I mean, everyone I have shown them to says they are the best real wedding photos they have EVER seen. Lots of people have said that it looks like a magazine shoot, or something from Vogue! They're spectacular. And we couldn't ask for more than that! I would highly recommend the Gaupers as wedding photographers together at your wedding. They're great people with amazing talent and such a wonderful service. THANKS GAUPERS from the bottom of our hearts!

lly glad I they were able to shoot our wedding; I love my wedding pictures! I was really impressed with they way they managed to get so many great pictures in some pretty challenging photographic conditions. My husband and I got married on one of those raining, dreary, slushy, muddy, Michigan winter days. In our outdoor pictures, though, the weather just looks magical and beautiful--I was actually happy about the rain later because everything was so unique (really, I was!). Also, our church had some difficult lighting, but you wouldn't know it from the pictures. The lighting edits were excellent. The ceremony shots are all beautiful. To top it off, we had our reception in a black box theatre-so it was a very dark place with crazy lighting, but the pictures from that venue turned out great as well. For the traditional shots, they listened to me when I told them what I thought was important, and they also directed us with their own creative suggestions. We have so many pictures to choose from, and lots of creative edits. I would recommend Gauperphoto highly.

opped up from the Gauper's site. We loved their style and creativity...literally, the photos were the best we had seen out of all our wedding photographer searching. Although it was a long shot that they would be available, seeing as it was a little short notice, Holly responded quickly saying they had that date free! We had a Skype meeting, and after that, Jon and I knew these were the people we wanted to shoot our special day. Our photos were so beautiful! Literally, we cannot pick a favorite. There are just so many that we love and adore! Looking through our wedding day set a few months later brought tears to our eyes. It is hard to believe that a photographer could capture ever sweet moment from that day. We are 120% satisfied with their work!! I would recommend Holly and Ryan to anyone who wants some unbelievably great photos!

s where the connection really started. After seeing their pictures, I knew I just had to have them for our engagement and wedding. We did our engagement pictures in November 2017, and will have them at our wedding this fall. We literally just finished discussing wedding details and scheduling with them about twenty minutes ago, and man oh man, are they helpful! This whole wedding thing is a new world to us, so with their expertise and knowledge, we felt SO much better after our conversation. They even took the time out of their evening to Skype with us -- they are so awesome. I literally have jumped up and down and cried happy tears of joy after first seeing the pictures they've created for my family and I. Not only do they make amazing art, they have two of the best personalities I've ever met! Seriously, I told my fiancé that I could totally see myself being friends with the two of them outside of their business. They are worth literally every penny! I wouldn't want anyone else helping us make memories!
