Working in the wedding industry I have been to a lot of venues across the Puget Sound but when it came to my wedding I wanted something truly spectacular. In true professional fashion, I Googled “garden wedding venues” and Genesis popped up. When we toured the venue we instantly fell in love with it. We love the manicured English garden, the historic white barn, the spacious reception tent, and the many beautiful photo opportunities. Our guests all exclaimed that it was the most beautiful venue that they had been to and loved the surprise white pigeon release. It was full of colorful flowers, lush grass. We also appreciated that it had a very nice brides cottage and grooms cottage. At sunset we got the most stunning golden hour photos out in the field and on the swing. The venue owners were very kind and amazing to work with!

You do need to be out by 10 which means last call at 8:30. No late night partying going on here. But that was fine with us.

e got everything we needed to legally have our ceremony there. She was also great about checking in and making sure things were going good and was always very very quick to respond to us whenever we had a question. Vaunee and her husband work so hard to keep the venue looking amazing from the landscaping and little details around the property, to making sure any repairs or things that need done get done. We did not have any issues with anything while using their venue and that was just fantastic! Their party tent was perfect! The lights inside that they use make it look classier. The bar area is perfect for serving drinks and the getting ready rooms for the bridal parties just were perfect! We just could not have been happier with how our day turned out and a lot of that is because of Vaunee and their venue. Thank you. Our day was absolutely perfect. If anyway is even considering booking this venue I 100% recommend it! If you are even on the fence just go see it in person! You won't regret it. It was the perfect place to get married!

eve keeps the grounds pristine. Every time we stopped by, prior to the wedding, he was pruning, trimming and working in the garden. Vaunee, a former wedding planner was so helpful with suggestion and ideas to ensure our day was perfect! She was always a text message away to answer our questions.
The day of the wedding, Steve and Vaunee were there to help with set-up, parked our guests in the lot and then we’re available to move things for us throughout the day. Our guests raves about the beautiful grounds. It was a perfect day!

eir second year) are just amazing. Vauneè Birchler, has many years of experience as a wedding planner and was just invaluable in our planning. She was available for us every time we had a question and, without being overbearing, gave us so many good ideas as to how the evening would run as smoothly as possible. We had a wood fired pizza truck for our caterer (who were also awesome!) and we used the bar tending service suggested by Vauneè.
In addition to the beautiful garden for the ceremony, the barn and tent/patio area are beautifully maintained and decorated in elegant style.
For the wedding party there are two amazing "cabins" to prepare for the ceremony. It was so much fun watching my daughter and her bride's maids get ready together in this beautiful place.
The best way to sum it up is "Absolutely Magical".
I'm so grateful for Vauneè and all her help. Wedding planning is not something many of us do more than once or twice and she made it so much easier! Thank you, thank you Vauneè!

mmaculate and got rave reviews from all the guests at the beauty of the location. The new owners Vaunee & Steve were so accommodating & helpful with all the planning that went into the event. Vaunee even came up with two extra table clothes for us when the caterer came up short! Vaunee's background as a wedding planner really helped us in the layout, as well as helpful suggestions to make the day go smoother so we all could enjoy! I recommend going out to this venue and meeting with the new owners in person you will be amazed!!!

I'm still in the planning stages of my wedding, but I was concerned about the negative reviews for this venue. It is exactly where I want to get married and fits in my price.

Knowing that one back experience can get blown out of proportion, I called and asked the owner about the bad reviews. I've worked in customer service my entire adult life, so I know how out of hand online reviewing is these days.
The owner was very pleasant on the phone, and got emotional when I asked her about the bad reviews. They are all from the SAME WEDDING!! They should not be given any credence. The wedding party was rude and were openly drinking in the parking lot, against the rules they signed off on. AND even though she prefers not to have hay in her hall because the straw is very hard to get out of the carpet, she allowed them to have the hay bails. With the assurance that the bride's family would clean it all up.
BTW - she only has one broom, so the statement about "everyone being required to sweep" wasn't accurate either.
Very sad to see a very nice lady, get destroyed over a bad review that never seem to go away.
I will update my review after my event.

not using a florist! It is rustic, but very versatile at the same time! I was so impressed with how much Judy helped us along the way. She stayed in touch as to what we needed and kept me on track. Shes open to however you would like your wedding to run, and in a way plays a wedding planner role. She offers to run the ceremony however you would like. She also has staff to move all of the tables and chairs very quickly and discreetly between ceremony and reception, as well as staff to direct parking, and watch over the parking lot during the wedding. I LOVE all of her animals and the baby deer she has every year. Our guests thought it was awesome they could feed them apples and interact with them! The doves being let our at the first kiss is such an amazing touch! overall it was just a great,low stress experience. The love that Judy has for her job is amazing! She puts so much time and effort into it, it was worth every penny, I definable recommend this venue!! Thank you Judy!! :)

We had our wedding here on May 28th 2015 and could not have been happier with the staff and venue. Judy the owner was so nice and helpful and made our day as stress free and smooth...
as possible. I don't know what the people that reviewed this venue badly are on because we were not required to push brooms and Judy and staff are great. Would recommend this place to everyone.

oughout the entire event. She also has extremely strict and unrealistic rules involving alcohol prior to the ceremony. No champagne toast for the wedding party prior to the ceremony? Are you kidding me?
Following the event, they REQUIRE everyone to grab a broom and sweep the floors. REALLY? Isn't that what your venue rental fee should cover? Absolutely atrocious how they treated guests, as well as the bride and groom at the event. I would never return and suggest any other wedding party not return either.
Also, there was a similar review last month about this, but it somehow got deleted. You can definitely find better venue rentals around the area that won't treat you like this. I would give them zero stars if I could.
Honestly, if you don't want to be in the event business, please stop renting out your property. You obviously have no desire to create a wonderful, lasting impression for wedding parties.

talking about. The upkeep of the place is great. They were very helpful with different ideas, as well as giving tips on what past brides had done. I didn't think too much on tables and chairs, but with them setting everything up and taking it down, it was a huge weight off of our family and friends' shoulders in having to do that.
We had so many comments on how gorgeous everything was. People were mesmerized by the sites and views. July was the perfect time, all the flowers in bloom. There were even a few surprises we kept from our guests that made it that much cooler when it happened. You will have to go there to find out what it was!! This place definitely gets my vote!
