Being able to chose a photographer from a group near to the venue was very helpful since we were looking for a specific style of photos that wouldn’t wash out skin color! Our photographer had no problems with our changing venue when the first one had to cancel on us and photo sessions with family went smoothly as she had many good poses and arrangements for family in mind that captured the moments perfectly. One of the greatest reason we chose this service was the amount of pictures you get following the event we received over 700 photos from our event whereas some of the other vendors we got quotes said we might get 20 to 50 pending on the length of the event. highly recommend for weddings given our overall very positive experience.

We encountered a snaffu with our original venue and had to change locations - when I called George Street to figure out the logistics with transferring locations for our photographer, they were so helpful and understanding. Their portal made everything so easy (and helped me create a timeline for the wedding itself)! Our photographer was the sweetest and so professional. I was hoping for timeless, not trendy, photos and that is exactly what I got!

et. They caused SO many issues and I am honestly still mind blown about how awful they were. A) George Street accidentally emailed us cancellation paperwork a month before our wedding. We were understandably frantic given that we had not under any circumstances asked to cancel. Especially not a month before our event. It was impossible to get anyone at George Street on the phone or via email to give us a straight answer. Finally, hours of panic later, they got back to us saying that the paperwork being sent was a mistake. B) We hired George Street over a year in advance for a lead photographer, second shooter, and videographer. ONE MONTH before our wedding we found out they had yet to hire a second shooter nor videographer. They told us they were working diligently to find people to fill those spots and we had nothing to worry about. Fast forward to ONE WEEK before our wedding and George Street had still not hired a second shooter nor videographer. We had to scramble to find a videographer ourselves and luckily our photographer found a second shooter herself. George Street did issue us a refund however, it came via snail mail and did not arrive until AFTER our wedding. Thankfully the person we hired to do our video allowed us to pay as we could given that we had already allocated our videography budget to George Street. C) When we received our wedding gallery from George Street, the photos of my wife with her wedding party were missing. Everything else including the photos with MY bridesmaids were there but the photos of hers were nowhere in sight. We reached out asking what happened to them and they said they would search for the "lost" photos. After a week there were still no photos in sight so we reached out to our lead photographer ourselves and she informed us that she definitely sent George Street the photos in question but would resend them again. We reached back out to George Street informing them that our photographer had resent the photos and asked what the hold up was. They said they would "look into it". Finally our lead photographer just edited the photos herself and sent them to us. George Street still to this day never added those photos to our gallery. Part of the draw for us to George Street was the promise of having an individual "wedding coordinator" assigned to our wedding. At first this seemed to be the case, we received emails always seemingly from the same person (email signature showed her name and photo). However, closer to our wedding we began being passed around. The only way of emailing with George Street is through the wedding coordinator email which is monitored by multiple individuals. I know this for a fact because when I questioned them about it repeatedly, they eventually gave in and admitted that there was not one person assigned to us. This is especially troublesome when you are running into issues like the ones I listed above. By the time you explain everything to one person, you are bounced to another and never know who you're speaking to.

d really nice photos. Our photographer, Scott, was PHENOMENAL! He captured tons of awesome pics and was constantly moving around taking photos. One of the things our guests said the most was how impressed they were by him and how he was getting so many great shots. And our final photos were exactly what I hoped for and more. I will recommend Scott to anyone I know getting married!!

ngs. The videos are choppy, poorly edited, have horrible audio and did not capture our day in its entirety nor the most important moments from our wedding. For the price we paid, in addition to all the overtime charges we acquired in order to have talent there for our entire wedding day, we are truly appalled at what we received. Please note, you will likely not have the same representative work with you all the way through to your wedding day, they do not let you view your talents personal portfolios/websites/social media OR speak to them before the week of your wedding (as if you don't already have a million other things going on at that time), they will forget about calls you have scheduled with them to discuss edits, BUT they NEVER forget to remind you when a payment is due! To that end, we were a couple who had to postpone our wedding a year due to COVID. However, they still made us pay our balance for the year they missed. Be prepared for a ton of junk fees. Save yourself the time and to some extent heartbreak and go with a smaller vendor who cares about the finished product and customer reviews.

But she explained to me how George Street works and how they source out to local photographers in your area, at a very reasonable price point. So together, we set up a consultation over the phone and the coordinator explained to us exactly how it all works and sent us a bunch of information to review. It honestly made the whole process so much easier, and knowing I had a whole team of coordinators at George Street to bounce questions and ideas off of whenever I needed to was very reassuring. Jaquayla was our photographer and she came all the way from Richmond to Charlottesville, Virginia on a beautiful early fall day in September. She immediately started snapping photos when she got there which was exactly what we needed as the day was already starting to fly by at warp speed. Thankfully she had set up a call with us about a week before our wedding to go over the timeline of events and how we wanted everything to flow. That was very helpful as anyone who's ever gotten married before knows how quickly the day flies by. We got a sneak peak of our photos within the week of our wedding (while we were on our honeymoon, which was such a treat!) and got access to the 2000+ photos she took at the wedding shortly after through George Street's website. I have already referred one friend to George Street and will continue to refer anyone I know who is getting married and looking for photography recommendations, as they make planning your wedding day with your photographer a breeze!

ot capture ANY of them. I had two photographers and neither of them captured the face of my GROOM when he first saw me walk down the aisle? Do you know how disappointing that is? I am heartbroken with how these photos came out. To expand, my “Lead photographer” did not even take the time to understand us or my expectations. There is not one of our couple portrait photos that I like. There is not one photo that I want to post on social media. He did not listen to me at all on the day of and actually contested my requests. I had a beautiful lacy back to my gown and I asked him to get a photo without my vail obstructing it as he was taking many with the vail covering the dress. He told me he knew what he was doing. The whole session I felt like the photos were more about him and what he wanted and not about capturing the couple at all. The team felt rushed, the did not vibe together. Overall I am completely devastated with these results. Nothing George Street does now will even matter because you can’t fix the fact that the photos are terrible, These are the most unflattering photos of me, and not ONE photo captures the love between my husband and I. Honestly want my money back. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY THIS IS A SHAM!

Eric was our photographer and he was wonderful, got all the shots we needed and wanted, and all went smoothly! We even got our full album back with over 2000 pictures in less than a month. I highly recommend the George Street Team (&& it’s affordable!!)

She's a treat to be around and her experience knowing how to capture the essence of a couple is obvious. ounds. We were also compensated for the time we did not feel as though we were not receiving the contracted services. Additionally, we were happy with the video we received. We were not pleased with the quality of the services. Around 1pm on our wedding day, I received a call that our photographer was sick and would not be able to make it. She was supposed to be meeting us for photos at 2:30pm. We were assigned a new photographer. I have seen many other reviews with similar stories, which makes me suspicious that this is something the company does to lure you in, and then send someone of lesser quality. The new "lead photographer" was an amateur at best. He had no idea about what shots to take. During the "getting ready" portion, he did not take any detail shots, and he was MIA for a big chunk of it, missing my mom helping me with my dress and veil. I had to stage all of the group shots, he did not help arrange anyone or make sure everyone was in frame. If there was a picture that needed to be taken, he had to be retrieved, he was not attentive or knowledgeable. When I walked down the aisle, he stood directly in front of the groom. I asked to take a few shots of the two of us after the wedding quickly outside because the sun was setting. He suggested we take them in front of the church's cemetery and columbaria. I asked him to ensure the columbarium was not in the background of the photos and he assured me it would be fine- obviously I should not have trusted him. In the contract it states that the staff can take an hour for dinner if dinner is not provided, we provided the photographers and videographer with a vendor meal. They still all took an hour for dinner at the same time, even though I requested shots of each table, which we never got. The DJ had to go get all of them so that they would know to come back for the first dance. In the middle of the reception when everyone was up dancing, the lead photographer came and asked if I still wanted the table shots... not possible if everyone is already up. Many times, there were group shots being taken at the reception, he did not catch on and come over to get them, he had to be asked and dragged over. When we got the shots back, many have horrible facial expressions, they have many ugly distractors in the background - light poles, sheds, (also including the columbaria... disrespectful and distasteful in the background of wedding portraits), and the crew consistently caught each other in their own shots- many pictures ruined with the videographer or second shooter in the background. A large portion of them were taken with filters on the lens, to make them distorted and altered, which cannot be edited or fixed. You definitely get what you pay for, but I regret even paying the lower pricing for the quality of the work we got.

The photos are beautiful, we got so much more than we asked for and Ashley was an integral part of the day that we will always remember! She was so sweet, kind and helpful. She was motivated to get the job done right, she was firm and got us into place without being mean or panicked. Meredith and I wouldn't trade the experience if having Ashley as our photographer for anything in the world.

et had the best value compared to others in our area. George Street had wedding coordinators who were easy to contact whenever we had questions. They also have an online portal which we filled out with all the information they could need from schedule, to style preferences, to location information. About a week before our wedding, our assigned photographer Scott Culberson called us and clarified any questions he had for us. He also gave us advice on how to get all the shots we wanted during our timeframe. The day before our wedding, our wedding coordinator informed us our assigned videographer was hospitalized and was unable to be at our wedding. George Street provided us with a new videographer almost seamlessly. This is something we were worried about happening with other vendors, but because George Street employs so many photographers and videographers they were able to easily remedy the situation. Our videographer, Mark Kowalski, emailed us the afternoon before our wedding going over our timeline and info. We met both guys on our wedding day and they were so professional and polite! Scott was fun to work with. He was great in instructing us how to pose for our photos since we had no idea what to do. Both Scott and Mark worked so hard on our special day and we were so grateful. When we received our photos and video, we were in awe and got so emotional. The quality of the photos and video was so clear and colorful! My husband and I were really amazed. I am so glad we went with George Street and absolutely recommend them! Also recommend that everyone get video in addition to photos. There's so much story, emotion, and fun in the video that are impossible to capture in a photo

George Street fixed everything promptly though and connected us with Emy for the big day. Working with the coordinators was great. I loved getting early pictures from the editors so I wouldn't have to wait until all the photos were done. The photographers were extremely professional and we already have so many wonderful pictures! I can't wait to see the rest of them.

The photos he took of us came out absolutely stunning, at times even surreal. Communication was also excellent and the poses he had us do were fun and unique. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend George Street to anyone in need of a wedding photographer.

never told by our wedding planning contact about photo permits. We reviewed our day of plan about a month out with the planning team and told them where we planned to take our photos (local park). It wasn't until we had the final call with our photographer the week of our wedding that she mentioned we'd need a permit. It was too late to apply for one so we had to change around our plans for the day, causing issues for transportation, timing, and the look of our photos. The planning team needs to be more informed about permit requirements and tell couples early on.

During the wedding, the photographer captured all of the moments that we wanted and more. Everything turned out really well, and we couldn't have worked with a better vendor!
