Super easy to work with and great quality photos! It was easy to start the communication process and choose from different portfolios of photographers available in our area. The day of, the photographer arrived on time and did a great job listening to requests and making great suggestions! I would highly recommend George street photo for your wedding needs!

BEWARE…..Shop LOCAL; this company is a broker for photographers. They email you portfolios, sign you up, take your money, then inform you that your agreed upon photographer is not available ! Nor is your second choice. What?? That’s fine when you’re ordering flowers, but not for a wedding. When I studied business in school, this tactic was called Bait and switch. They will keep your deposit because they offered “alternatives” Just RUN. It may seem convenient to do this option but highly recommend trying to find your own photographer as opposed to using George Street

George Street was such a great choice for my wedding. They were super professional and we enjoyed beautiful photos and videos to remember our special day. We could not thank them enough for all their hard work and effort and attention to detail.

We really enjoyed our experience with George Street! Our photos turned out AMAZING - our photographer was able to capture so much of the joy that we felt that day. Photos did take a while to come back - around 6/7 weeks - and we didn't get a sneak peek, but they were worth the wait for sure.

Please do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. It is unfortunate to look back at your wedding and say that you have regrets but we highly regret hiring George Street. They caused SO many issues and I am honestly still mind blown about how awful they were. A) George Street accidentally emailed us cancellation paperwork a month before our wedding. We were understandably frantic given that we had not under any circumstances asked to cancel. Especially not a month before our event. It was impossible to get anyone at George Street on the phone or via email to give us a straight answer. Finally, hours of panic later, they got back to us saying that the paperwork being sent was a mistake. B) We hired George Street over a year in advance for a lead photographer, second shooter, and videographer. ONE MONTH before our wedding we found out they had yet to hire a second shooter nor videographer. They told us they were working diligently to find people to fill those spots and we had nothing to worry about. Fast forward to ONE WEEK before our wedding and George Street had still not hired a second shooter nor videographer. We had to scramble to find a videographer ourselves and luckily our photographer found a second shooter herself. George Street did issue us a refund however, it came via snail mail and did not arrive until AFTER our wedding. Thankfully the person we hired to do our video allowed us to pay as we could given that we had already allocated our videography budget to George Street. C) When we received our wedding gallery from George Street, the photos of my wife with her wedding party were missing. Everything else including the photos with MY bridesmaids were there but the photos of hers were nowhere in sight. We reached out asking what happened to them and they said they would search for the "lost" photos. After a week there were still no photos in sight so we reached out to our lead photographer ourselves and she informed us that she definitely sent George Street the photos in question but would resend them again. We reached back out to George Street informing them that our photographer had resent the photos and asked what the hold up was. They said they would "look into it". Finally our lead photographer just edited the photos herself and sent them to us. George Street still to this day never added those photos to our gallery. Part of the draw for us to George Street was the promise of having an individual "wedding coordinator" assigned to our wedding. At first this seemed to be the case, we received emails always seemingly from the same person (email signature showed her name and photo). However, closer to our wedding we began being passed around. The only way of emailing with George Street is through the wedding coordinator email which is monitored by multiple individuals. I know this for a fact because when I questioned them about it repeatedly, they eventually gave in and admitted that there was not one person assigned to us. This is especially troublesome when you are running into issues like the ones I listed above. By the time you explain everything to one person, you are bounced to another and never know who you're speaking to.

George Street was very good with communicating and getting back to us within 24 hours each time! We had Olga as our photographer and she was amazing!! She was very friendly and thoughtful throughout the day! We are so glad to have had her on our team during our wedding day.

After looking at tons of photographers (30+), I landed on George Street because of the value and quality of photos. We didn't want to pay $3000+ for a photographer, but still wanted really nice photos. Our photographer, Scott, was PHENOMENAL! He captured tons of awesome pics and was constantly moving around taking photos. One of the things our guests said the most was how impressed they were by him and how he was getting so many great shots. And our final photos were exactly what I hoped for and more. I will recommend Scott to anyone I know getting married!!

I would not book George Street for anything. We are HIGHLY dissatisfied with the quality of our videos. Upon showing the videos to our family and friends, they confirmed our feelings. The videos are choppy, poorly edited, have horrible audio and did not capture our day in its entirety nor the most important moments from our wedding. For the price we paid, in addition to all the overtime charges we acquired in order to have talent there for our entire wedding day, we are truly appalled at what we received. Please note, you will likely not have the same representative work with you all the way through to your wedding day, they do not let you view your talents personal portfolios/websites/social media OR speak to them before the week of your wedding (as if you don't already have a million other things going on at that time), they will forget about calls you have scheduled with them to discuss edits, BUT they NEVER forget to remind you when a payment is due! To that end, we were a couple who had to postpone our wedding a year due to COVID. However, they still made us pay our balance for the year they missed. Be prepared for a ton of junk fees. Save yourself the time and to some extent heartbreak and go with a smaller vendor who cares about the finished product and customer reviews.

I was referred to George Street by my best friend, whose wedding I was the maid-of-honor in about 6 years ago. At first I thought, she got married in Florida and I am getting married in Virginia, how could I possibly use the same photographer as them? But she explained to me how George Street works and how they source out to local photographers in your area, at a very reasonable price point. So together, we set up a consultation over the phone and the coordinator explained to us exactly how it all works and sent us a bunch of information to review. It honestly made the whole process so much easier, and knowing I had a whole team of coordinators at George Street to bounce questions and ideas off of whenever I needed to was very reassuring. Jaquayla was our photographer and she came all the way from Richmond to Charlottesville, Virginia on a beautiful early fall day in September. She immediately started snapping photos when she got there which was exactly what we needed as the day was already starting to fly by at warp speed. Thankfully she had set up a call with us about a week before our wedding to go over the timeline of events and how we wanted everything to flow. That was very helpful as anyone who's ever gotten married before knows how quickly the day flies by. We got a sneak peak of our photos within the week of our wedding (while we were on our honeymoon, which was such a treat!) and got access to the 2000+ photos she took at the wedding shortly after through George Street's website. I have already referred one friend to George Street and will continue to refer anyone I know who is getting married and looking for photography recommendations, as they make planning your wedding day with your photographer a breeze!

Our photographer (Scott) did such an amazing job at capturing special moments of our wedding. He took pictures we didn’t even know where being taken. We highly recommend him, I can’t describe how happy we are with our pictures and the memories he added.

The photographer was incredible. He captured the feel of our day in his candid shots which were seemingly taken by an invisible man. I didn't know he had taken half the pictures which attests to how well he blended in. The company was easy to work with and I couldn't be more pleased with the pictures and I would and am recommending them to everyone who wants thier day captured perfectly. It was definitely worth the money.

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE DISAPPOINTED WITH YOUR WEDDING PHOTOS FOREVER. The moments of your wedding day can never be recreated, and our photographer did not capture ANY of them. I had two photographers and neither of them captured the face of my GROOM when he first saw me walk down the aisle? Do you know how disappointing that is? I am heartbroken with how these photos came out. To expand, my “Lead photographer” did not even take the time to understand us or my expectations. There is not one of our couple portrait photos that I like. There is not one photo that I want to post on social media. He did not listen to me at all on the day of and actually contested my requests. I had a beautiful lacy back to my gown and I asked him to get a photo without my vail obstructing it as he was taking many with the vail covering the dress. He told me he knew what he was doing. The whole session I felt like the photos were more about him and what he wanted and not about capturing the couple at all. The team felt rushed, the did not vibe together. Overall I am completely devastated with these results. Nothing George Street does now will even matter because you can’t fix the fact that the photos are terrible, These are the most unflattering photos of me, and not ONE photo captures the love between my husband and I. Honestly want my money back. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY THIS IS A SHAM!

We would highly recommend George Street Photo! We were a little skeptical at first because we couldn’t contact our photographer until the week of the wedding, but working with the coordinators and team members was so easy and quick each time I had my million questions haha!! Eric was our photographer and he was wonderful, got all the shots we needed and wanted, and all went smoothly! We even got our full album back with over 2000 pictures in less than a month. I highly recommend the George Street Team (&& it’s affordable!!)

Though both photographers and the videographer were great (and the unedited photos Robert showed us throughout the day looked amazing), we struggled with the planning team when arranging all services. They required a large amount of handholding to set everything up; they also mismanaged a change to our lead photographer.

George Street offered an incredible deal for the quality of service we received. We had 2 photographers for our wedding, plus a videographer, plus an engagement photo session before the wedding. Their staff worked with our personal style to help us find our ideal photographer. Very organized and easy to work with.

When I tell you I find myself looking at these photos during work, home, showing them to all our friends & family, We could not have asked for anything more because you guys did it all! We chose Scott as our photographer for our wedding in Richmond, VA this past fall and he was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. Amazing!! He captured tons and tons of fabulous shots and really made a point of following the style of photos that we wanted. All night long, our guests kept coming up saying he's the best wedding photographer they'd ever seen, and we have to agree! We 100% recommend Scott and George Street Photo!

We chose Scott in Richmond, Va as our photographer and couldn’t be happier! He was awesome, professional, and took beautiful photos! Everyone commented on how great he and the associate photographer were. I’ve recommended George Street to everyone I know getting married. Thank you!

Edit: George Street worked with us to help resolve the issues. They offered to let us send them a list of photos to re-edit, and were able to remove the distractors from the backgrounds. We were also compensated for the time we did not feel as though we were not receiving the contracted services. Additionally, we were happy with the video we received. We were not pleased with the quality of the services. Around 1pm on our wedding day, I received a call that our photographer was sick and would not be able to make it. She was supposed to be meeting us for photos at 2:30pm. We were assigned a new photographer. I have seen many other reviews with similar stories, which makes me suspicious that this is something the company does to lure you in, and then send someone of lesser quality. The new "lead photographer" was an amateur at best. He had no idea about what shots to take. During the "getting ready" portion, he did not take any detail shots, and he was MIA for a big chunk of it, missing my mom helping me with my dress and veil. I had to stage all of the group shots, he did not help arrange anyone or make sure everyone was in frame. If there was a picture that needed to be taken, he had to be retrieved, he was not attentive or knowledgeable. When I walked down the aisle, he stood directly in front of the groom. I asked to take a few shots of the two of us after the wedding quickly outside because the sun was setting. He suggested we take them in front of the church's cemetery and columbaria. I asked him to ensure the columbarium was not in the background of the photos and he assured me it would be fine- obviously I should not have trusted him. In the contract it states that the staff can take an hour for dinner if dinner is not provided, we provided the photographers and videographer with a vendor meal. They still all took an hour for dinner at the same time, even though I requested shots of each table, which we never got. The DJ had to go get all of them so that they would know to come back for the first dance. In the middle of the reception when everyone was up dancing, the lead photographer came and asked if I still wanted the table shots... not possible if everyone is already up. Many times, there were group shots being taken at the reception, he did not catch on and come over to get them, he had to be asked and dragged over. When we got the shots back, many have horrible facial expressions, they have many ugly distractors in the background - light poles, sheds, (also including the columbaria... disrespectful and distasteful in the background of wedding portraits), and the crew consistently caught each other in their own shots- many pictures ruined with the videographer or second shooter in the background. A large portion of them were taken with filters on the lens, to make them distorted and altered, which cannot be edited or fixed. You definitely get what you pay for, but I regret even paying the lower pricing for the quality of the work we got.

Everything was amazing. Our photographer, Ashley, did exactly what she needed to in order to make the day perfect! Ashley is a third grade teacher as well and we told her early she needed to treat us like we were her children to get us into place for photos we needed. She was perfect! The photos are beautiful, we got so much more than we asked for and Ashley was an integral part of the day that we will always remember! She was so sweet, kind and helpful. She was motivated to get the job done right, she was firm and got us into place without being mean or panicked. Meredith and I wouldn't trade the experience if having Ashley as our photographer for anything in the world.

We got married this past October and absolutely loved working with George Street. From our engagement session to the wedding day, they were phenomenal. We talked with our photographer prior so she could get a feel for what we wanted and any specific shots we were wanting. The customer service was top notch and felt very personal with both our photographer and the coordinator. We love all of the photos and have so many good ones to pick from to print. Would definitely recommend George Street to anyone who wants incredible photos and friendly staff.

With planning a wedding in less than 3 months and on a budget, I was stressed when it came to finding a photographer. George Street Photography took all my stress away in a matter of minutes! I’m so thankful my husband and I came across George Street. The process was seamless and everyone we encountered was professional and informative. My husband and I used George Street to photograph and film our wedding in May 2019 in Hampton Roads VA. My husband researched prices for many competitors and discovered George Street had the best value compared to others in our area. George Street had wedding coordinators who were easy to contact whenever we had questions. They also have an online portal which we filled out with all the information they could need from schedule, to style preferences, to location information. About a week before our wedding, our assigned photographer Scott Culberson called us and clarified any questions he had for us. He also gave us advice on how to get all the shots we wanted during our timeframe. The day before our wedding, our wedding coordinator informed us our assigned videographer was hospitalized and was unable to be at our wedding. George Street provided us with a new videographer almost seamlessly. This is something we were worried about happening with other vendors, but because George Street employs so many photographers and videographers they were able to easily remedy the situation. Our videographer, Mark Kowalski, emailed us the afternoon before our wedding going over our timeline and info. We met both guys on our wedding day and they were so professional and polite! Scott was fun to work with. He was great in instructing us how to pose for our photos since we had no idea what to do. Both Scott and Mark worked so hard on our special day and we were so grateful. When we received our photos and video, we were in awe and got so emotional. The quality of the photos and video was so clear and colorful! My husband and I were really amazed. I am so glad we went with George Street and absolutely recommend them! Also recommend that everyone get video in addition to photos. There's so much story, emotion, and fun in the video that are impossible to capture in a photo

My wife and I loved having George Street at our wedding. Their personnel were great to work with, both leading up to the big day and afterwards. They took the time prior to the wedding to get familiar with the plans so they could best serve us on our wedding day. The video they produced was amazing. I highly suggest getting their video service. My wife and I have watched the video several times and it is a great way to relive the day. Mark was an awesome to person to have around on our wedding day. He was able to capture all of the beautiful moments without getting in the way. He and everyone at George Street did a great job!

Our photographer Rachael did such an amazing job; not just in her candid photos but in her coordination of our organized pictures as well. The mass of photos were returned to us quickly and we love them so much! They truly encapsulate the feeling we had on our beautiful day. Highly recommend!

We got married in Annapolis on June 15, 2019. We worked with Kyle as the lead photographer, Jeanine as assistant photographer, and Malcolm as the videographer. All three were an absolute joy to work with!!! They were responsive, friendly, professional, and took an amazing amount of footage. We loved working with George Street! On top of that, we got all of our photos within 3 weeks of our wedding date. We loved all of the pictures - Kyle and Jeanine were amazing! I know that it takes a long time to put together a wedding video, so we are still waiting on that, but I am sure that Malcolm did an amazing job. Thank you George Street!!

George Street was nothing short of excellent! The way they helped us organize our day and helped answer any questions was extremely professional. Then, talk about the pictures! WOW! Ashley did an amazing job capturing all of the moments we wanted and so many more we didn’t even know we needed until we saw them! She did our engagement shoot and our wedding. She was extremely punctual, friendly, and took time to learn about us as a couple so she knew what we would enjoy. The pictures and moments captured are better than anything we could have hoped for!

At first I was a little nervous about how the photography was going to turn out. My husband and I went with a less expensive photographer so I was worried on how the photos would come out. Our photographer Morgan was such a champ and worked with us so well. Just recently I received our "editor's choice" photos and I am so happy with how our photos turned out. The edits on the photos are so great. Morgan got some really good shots. I'm very happy! I would recommend him and this company!!

We worked with 3 photographers from George Street, and they were all exceptional. Sarah did our engagement photos and Emy and Nina were taking photos for our wedding. Usually the same person who does your engagement photos does your wedding photos too, but our original photographer had a scheduling issue. George Street fixed everything promptly though and connected us with Emy for the big day. Working with the coordinators was great. I loved getting early pictures from the editors so I wouldn't have to wait until all the photos were done. The photographers were extremely professional and we already have so many wonderful pictures! I can't wait to see the rest of them.

Although my wedding is not here yet, the process that George Street has has been great. They have great packages and everything available for you in one place. We got to talk to them and see different photogropher's portfolios and found our perfect match. We also have the perfect opportunity to meet out photographer for engagment photos which will allow our photographer to get to know us and our styles. They did all the planning, even gave us suggestions for engagment photo locations. I am so excited and cant wait.

Our photographer was great to work with! She captured some amazing shots without being noticeable, which is exactly what we wanted. Our only wish was that she was more directive during the family photo section in particular, in effort to take some pressure off of us on our big day. But overall, wonderful company to work with!

We had Carlo swoop in as our photographer at the very last minute when we received word about an emergency with the original photographer we had booked. I felt a bit apprehensive as we hadn’t seen Carlo’s work before and pretty much had my heart set on the first photographer, but Carlo sure did not disappoint. The photos he took of us came out absolutely stunning, at times even surreal. Communication was also excellent and the poses he had us do were fun and unique. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend George Street to anyone in need of a wedding photographer.

We got married in April of this year and our Videographer, Paul, did a FANTASTIC job. One major thing for us is that we wanted the videographer to just capture the day like a fly on the wall. He did exactly that. Even though we only had 1 videographer, he was able to capture so many angles and moments. It was seriously amazing. I would highly recommend George Street- and in fact I already have to other brides! We were so happy with the end result of our video too, we had no edits. Overall, we had such a good experience!

We absolutely loved our photographer, Milena! She was easy to work with and the photos turned out stunningly beautiful and came back in a month! The only negative was that we were never told by our wedding planning contact about photo permits. We reviewed our day of plan about a month out with the planning team and told them where we planned to take our photos (local park). It wasn't until we had the final call with our photographer the week of our wedding that she mentioned we'd need a permit. It was too late to apply for one so we had to change around our plans for the day, causing issues for transportation, timing, and the look of our photos. The planning team needs to be more informed about permit requirements and tell couples early on.

We recently got married this past September, and were very pleased with how everything went with George Street Photo. They were always very prompt in answering all of our questions before the wedding and made sure that we had all the photos we wanted planned out before the event (and of course, had lots of suggestions!). During the wedding, the photographer captured all of the moments that we wanted and more. Everything turned out really well, and we couldn't have worked with a better vendor!

George Street was fantastic to work with! Everything is well organized and simple to keep track of the planning process. There was always someone available if I had questions and I never felt pressured to “add on” or upgrade. We also had local photographers and videographer even though George Street is nation wide! Highly recommend!

Working with GeorgeStreet was one of the easiest parts of planning an outdoor wedding. They were enjoyable to work with and really partnered with you to make sure you were asking the right questions and thinking through what you wanted out of your wedding pictures to have a perfectly captured day. Sarah D was our lead photographer who took our engagement and wedding photos, and we absolutely loved her! My husband and I both had never had professional photos taken so we were both a little nervous. Sarah made sure to walk us through the process and made the experience fun, so we were able to relax and really be ourselves. George Street was wonderful. You initially talk to a sales rep who shows you the portfolios of several photographers dutch availability on your day. You choose the one you want and it goes from there. We were given a few options and were immediately captivated by David's photojournalistic style. I felt extremely comfortable on our wedding day, and Iam typically pretty camera shy. David is a true professional. Would highly recommend.

Jenny at George Street was just what we wanted. She took time to scout out locations for us at our venue and was willing to go with our ideas as well. She was very involved with getting our photos and photos of our guests without being overwhelming. She would just appear at the right times. Thank you!

George Street was amazing when it comes to the pictures for my engagement shoot and my wedding! Our consultant that helped us pick our photographer was so sweet and helpful. I was all excited to have George Street as my Photographer choice. I booked them asap and got my photographer picked. I started to read reviews. To me photos are the biggest thing, being a photographer myself. As I started to read reviews, my thoughts became negative towards George Street. I stressed for almost a year on my choice. The week of my wedding, I spoke with Shannon the Photographer. She is seriously the sweetest lady. She calmed down my nerves and negative thoughts toward GSP. The day before the wedding rain was in the forecast. I kept in touch with Shannon on a plan B to have photos at the Hotel instead of the actual Venue since it was outside. The day of the wedding we decided to do the photos at the hotel. She came up with a new timeline and sent it to me. She met every single expectation, I had. She was kind, generous and made sure I was comfortable and everyone else was! I got a sneak peak of the photos and I am so happy I went with Shannon and George Street!

We used George Street Photos for our wedding and our photographer Sandra was phenomenal. Neither my husband nor I were very comfortable with having our pictures taken and she made us feel so comfortable and relaxed for both our engagement and wedding. She took so many beautiful candid photographs and gave direction to make our pictures look both beautiful and natural. She was wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend her.

This review is so difficult to make because I am torn about our experience with them. We had a relatively good experience with GS, especially with photos, but we had major issues with regards to video. We did our engagement photo shoot in Boston with Jessica, who was an absolute delight to work with. She also did photos for our wedding, along with Sergio. They were both amazing, and the photos came out great. We loved them. With video, due to religious/cultural preferences, we asked for a female videographer. However, we were first assigned a male (I found out by accident actually). At first they didn't budge about changing the videographer, and when they did find a female, they wanted to charge me a travel fee for her. At this point, it wasn't about the money - it was about the principle. As your customer, you should have figured things out on your end without getting me involved. Eventually, they gave in and took care of the travel fee. The day of the wedding - all goes well with video. Kendra was so sweet and managed to catch all the important footage of the evening. However, before the videos went for editing, I made some requests from the editors for things not to include in the highlight video. They've sent it to me twice, not taking into account those requests both times. It's now been 7 months since our wedding, and I still have not gotten that video. I'm pretty tired of waiting at this point, and just hope that someday they'll remember to send the corrected video to me.

We had a great experience with George St. They gave us a choice of photographer based on various portfolios and we were thrilled with Brandon! He was very professional and took great photos. George St. was one of our favorite vendors from our wedding. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to any bride!
